Abstract

The stunting rate in Kedungan Village remains unchanged, with 19 toddlers affected in 2023 and one reported death in 2024. The primary objective of the community service activities is to enhance the knowledge of posyandu cadres regarding stunting and its prevention, as well as to improve their skills in food preparation and presentation to support the nutritional resilience of stunted toddlers. These activities are conducted in stages, beginning with coordination, followed by socialization about stunting and its prevention, training on food processing and serving techniques, and mentoring cadres in providing supplementary feeding (PMT) to stunted toddlers. The outcomes of these activities demonstrated a significant increase in participants' knowledge about stunting and its prevention, with the average correct answers rising from 54.1% in the pre-test to 74.3% in the post-test. Regarding practical application, the processed PMT distributed at the posyandu has adhered to the techniques taught during the training, including proper food preparation and presentation. Meals were served in an appealing manner, following the examples provided during the training sessions.

Abstract

This study aimed to evaluate the effect of organic fertilizer modification with the addition of Trichoderma sp. on the growth and yield of cauliflower. A Randomized Blok Design (RAK) with five treatments and four replications. The research was conducted from May to November 2024 on the land of Pondok Pesantren Bakti Bapak Emak, Bareng, Jombang. The results showed that; (a) The use of modified organic fertilizer and Trichoderma had a significant effect on cauliflower plant growth (plant height, number of leaves, and root dry weight). The K3 treatment (Nutrizim Granule Organic Fertilizer + Trichoderma) showed better results for cauliflower growth, with plant height reaching approximately 44,25 cm at 6 weeks after planting and producing an average of 21,15. (b) The treatments tested did not have a significant effect on yield parameters. However, field observations indicate that the modified organic fertilizer with added Trichoderma produced better quality cauliflowers, characterized by denser (more compact) curds, a clean yellowish-white color, and overall improved appearance.

Abstract

This study investigates the use of cocopeat as an eco-friendly planting medium, combined with NPK fertilizer and eco enzyme, to enhance the growth of microgreen water spinach. Cocopeat improves soil moisture and aeration, while NPK provides essential nutrients, and eco enzyme promotes microbial activity and root health. The experiment tested varying doses of NPK and eco enzyme in cocopeat, measuring plant height, leaf count, Vitamin A content, and sprout percentage. Results showed no interaction between NPK and eco enzyme treatments. The NPK solution in cocopeat (M2) yielded the highest growth values, while the control (M0) had the lowest. However, excessive NPK inhibited kale microgreen growth. Conversely, eco enzyme application alone did not significantly improve growth or quality. This research highlights cocopeat's potential as a sustainable medium but suggests careful NPK dosage to avoid growth suppression. While eco enzyme showed no direct impact, further studies could explore its role in nutrient absorption. The findings support eco-friendly cultivation techniques and offer insights into boosting Vitamin A in microgreen kale, contributing to sustainable agriculture and nutritional enhancement.

Abstract

Tingginya prevalensi stunting di Klaten Jawatengah masih menjadi isu krusial yang memerlukan intervensi. Kondisi ini diperparah oleh minimnya pengetahuan ibu dalam pengolahan makanan yang tepat dan benar. Stunting bukan sekadar masalah pertumbuhan fisik yang terhambat, melainkan kondisi serius yang mengganggu perkembangan anak akibat kekurangan gizi menahun dan infeksi berulang. Desa Kedungan prevalensi stunting masih tinggi, tahun 2024 terdapat 17 balita stunting dan tahun 2025 naik menjadi 19 balita stunting. Salah satu faktor yang berkontribusi kuat terhadap kejadian stunting adalah minimalnya pengetahuan ibu balita tentang gizi dan cara pengolahan makanan yang tepat dan benar. Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan ketrampilan ibu dalam mengolah bahan makanan secara tepat dan benar. Metode, Tanggal 15 Mei 2025 di Desa Kedungan dilakukan pemberdayaan ibu  dengan  ceramah dan demonstrasi mengolah bahan utama daun kelor sebagai inovasi makanan balita yang bergizi tinggi. Hasil kegiatan terdapat peningkatan pengetahuan 25% ibu yang paham tentang gizi dan pengolahan makanan meningkat menjadi 79.1%. Dan 90% peserta bisa mendemonstrasikan inovasi mengolah makanan dawet kelor dan nasi kepal dengan hasil yang bagus. Pembahasan, Ceramah dan Demonstrasi yang menarik masih menjadi pilihan untuk edukasi peningkatan pengetahun dan ketrampilan peserta. Kemampuan ibu dalam mengolah makanan yang tepat dan benar adalah kunci  kesehatan balitanya. Inovasi bahan lokal yang bernilai gizi tinggi dan penyajian menarik, akan meningkatkan nafsu makan balita sehingga berat badan balita terus meningkat. Kesimpulan, kegiatan PKM telah berhasil  dengan  memuaskan, luaran berupa makanan dawet kelor dan nasi kepal. Keberhasilan kegiatan ini bisa diulang ulang lagi dipraktekkan di rumah  dan  menjadi  salah satu ide bagi kader kesehatan  untuk  memberikan  makanan tambahan di posyandu  dengan  mengolah makanannya yang bervariasi  dan  menarik

Abstract

This cross-sectional study, conducted in five secondary schools in White Nile State, Central Sudan, aims to assess the seroprevalence of Hepatitis B Virus (HBV) among students aged 14-20 years. Utilizing a sample of 384 students, the study employs the Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA) technique to detect HBV surface antigens (HBsAg). The results reveal a high prevalence rate of 49%, with significant correlations between HBV infection and factors such as gender, marital status, blood transfusion history, family history of HBV, and vaccination status. Notably, female students exhibit a higher prevalence rate (55%) compared to male students (45%). Married students show a 100% prevalence rate, indicating a strong link between marital status and HBV infection. Additionally, students with a history of blood transfusions and those with family histories of HBV are more likely to be infected. Vaccination history emerges as a critical factor, with vaccinated students displaying lower infection rates, underscoring the importance of vaccination programs. These findings emphasize the need for enhanced HBV awareness, regular screening, and vaccination campaigns to mitigate the virus's spread among young populations in similar settings, ultimately contributing to better public health outcomes

The results show that the ease of application achieved a score of 65.9%, suitability of content 69.4%, completeness reached a score of 58.8%, suitability of desired knowledge needs 52.9% and help make it easier to understand maintenance science reached 70%. Simpulan Aplikasi SBCMomBoby dapat dengan mudah The application is used, appropriate for baby care content, comprehensive, and facilitates understanding of baby care knowledge. However, it does not fully meet the desires of postpartum mothers regarding certain knowledge that has not been included in the SBC MomBaby application.

Abstract

Background: The linguistic politeness of Generation Z in educational settings has emerged as a significant phenomenon worthy of scholarly examination, particularly in light of the pervasive influence of digital media and shifting communication norms. Purpose: This study employs a qualitative descriptive-analytical approach to examine linguistic politeness challenges among students at SMA Negeri 3 Gowa as representatives of Generation Z. Method: Data were collected through methodological triangulation comprising participant observation, questionnaires administered to 32 students, and analysis of classroom interaction documents, utilizing purposive sampling that accounted for gender diversity and varied social backgrounds. Systematic data analysis was conducted through thematic reduction, matrix presentation, and cross-verification to ensure research validity. Result and Discussion: The findings reveal a prevalent pattern of code-switching between formal and informal registers, with colloquial language dominating peer interactions while more polite forms are maintained in teacher-student communication. The study identifies social media influence and peer group dynamics as determining factors in these politeness paradigm shifts. Conclusion and Implication: This research contributes significantly to the mapping of Generation Z's communication patterns within formal educational contexts, an area that remains understudied. The implications underscore the necessity for implementing context-aware communication education in schools that harmonizes traditional politeness norms with Generation Z's distinctive communication characteristics while preserving their digital identity. These findings provide a foundation for developing responsive language learning models attuned to contemporary communication dynamics.

Abstract

Latar Belakang : Rata-rata usia menarche remaja putri di Jawa Tengah telah memasukki usia dibawah usia 12 tahun, dengan rata-rata usia menarche 13 tahun (38,6%) dengan kejadian awal pada usia kurang dari 9 tahun. Sedangkan Siswi di SDIT Jumapolo berusia 10-12 tahun, informasi yang tidak jelas menyebabkan pengetahuan siswi kurang dan tingkat kecemasan siswi meningkat menghadapi menarche. Tujuan : Menganalisa hubungan pengetahuan dengan tingkat kecemasan menghadapi menarche pada siswi di SDIT Jumapolo. Metode Penelitian : Penelitian analitik dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Pengambilan sampel yaitu menggunakan metode purposive sampling dengan sampling jenuh, jumlah sampel penelitian 57 responden. Instrumen penelitian berupa kuesioner. Analisa statistik menggunakan kendall’s Tau dengan taraf signifikasi (?=0,05). Hasil : pengetahuan siswi SDIT Jumapolo tentang menarche mayoritas responden memiliki pengetahuan tentang menarche dalam kategori cukup sebanyak 43 responden (75,4%). Tingkat kecemasan menghadapi menarche, mayoritas dalam kategori tidak cemas menghadapi menarche sebanyak 28 responden (66,7%). Analisa Bivariate ada hubungan pengetahuan dengan tingkat kecemasan menghadapi menarche, dibuktikan dari hasil uji kendall’s Tau yang diperoleh nilai koefisien korelasi ? sebesar -0,274 dan menunjukkan nilai p=0,031 , dan signifikan pada nilai ?=0,05. Kesimpulan : Ada hubungan pengetahuan dengan tingkat kecemasan menghadapi menarche pada siswi di SDIT Jumapolo.

Abstract

This training aims to improve students' polite language skills at SMPN 2 Parepare. The problem encountered is that around 65% of students have difficulty in applying the principles of polite communication, both in interactions with teachers, peers, and in broader social contexts. The training program was developed by the Department of Indonesian Literature, Faculty of Cultural Sciences, Hasanuddin University, using Participatory Action Research and Culture-Based Learning approaches. The results of the training showed an increase in students' understanding and ability in polite language communication. The positive impact of this program can be seen in the changes in students' attitudes that show politeness in communication. In conclusion, this training is important to improve students' personal quality with polite language skills.

Abstract

The scientific writing training for teachers at SMP Negeri 2 Parepare was conducted in response to the low capacity of teachers to produce publishable academic works. A total of 30 teachers participated in the program, which employed an audiovisual-based Jigsaw approach characterized by collaboration and interactivity. The training methods included lectures, expert and home group discussions, writing simulations, and evaluations through pre-tests and post-tests. The results indicated an increase in teachers’ motivation and competence in developing scientific writing structures and components. The drafts produced demonstrated a solid understanding of academic structure and writing skills grounded in school-based instructional practices. This program not only enhanced teachers’ scientific literacy but also promoted sustained collaboration through the establishment of teacher working groups and supportive school policies. These findings underscore the significance of the Jigsaw-AV approach in improving teacher professionalism and overall educational quality.
