Abstract

Technological advancements in the digital era have significantly transformed human civilization, particularly in the way families interact and practice parenting. In Indonesia, these changes have become increasingly complex due to the growing access children have to the internet and digital devices from an early age. This phenomenon presents new challenges for parents, such as exposure to negative content, gadget addiction, reduced social interaction, and a digital literacy gap between parents and children. This study aims to explore in depth the dynamics of parenting in the digital era within the Indonesian context. The research employs a descriptive-qualitative approach, referring to various relevant national and international literature sources. Findings indicate that many parents still face confusion in setting boundaries and supervising their children’s digital activities, while others have begun to adopt more adaptive and digitally literate parenting approaches. This article also proposes several strategies that parents can implement, such as strengthening family communication, utilizing digital monitoring tools, and continuously enhancing their technological knowledge. With proper understanding and approach, parents in Indonesia can become effective partners in guiding their children to navigate the digital age safely, healthily, and with dignity.

Abstract

This research aims to evaluate: (1) adventure-based learning designs, (2) the success of adventure-based learning programs, and (3) unplanned but achievable goals by adventure-based learning programs. This research is evaluation research (evaluation research) with a qualitative approach; the evaluation model used is a goal-free evaluation model (Goal Free Evaluation). The population and sample in this study were all participants in adventure-based learning at Jogja Adventure Kids from December 2022 to June 2023, totaling 13 children. Additionally, there were nine parents of students and one manager from Jogja Adventure Kids. The location of this research is in an open/wild space organized by Jogja Adventure Kids. Data collection techniques encompass both primary data, such as direct interviews and observations, and secondary data, including document reviews. This research instrument consists of an observation guide, an interview guide, field notes, and documentation. Data validity was achieved through triangulation with multiple sources, methods, and time periods. The data analysis techniques used are display, reduction and drawing conclusions. The results of the research show that (1) evaluation of adventure-based learning design includes the material provided and learning methods, (2) evaluation of success contains good things and bad things, and (3) evaluation of unplanned but achievable goals includes being a vehicle for channeling energy excess and becoming a health investment.

Abstract

Village-owned enterprises have been positioned as strategic instruments for strengthening local economic autonomy, yet many village enterprises in Indonesia still struggle to contribute meaningfully to village original revenue. This study examining how participatory-based management was implemented in BUM Kalurahan Tridadi Makmur, Sleman, and how such management supported the optimization of village original revenue. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation involving the enterprise director, supervisory board, village head, and members of the village consultative body. Data were analyzed using the Miles et al interactive model comprising data collection, condensation, display, and conclusion drawing. The findings show that effective management was built through four interrelated functions: participatory planning, adaptive organizing, business-oriented implementation, and continuous supervision. Community participation appeared not only in deliberative forums but also in labor involvement and capital participation. Quantitative institutional records indicate strong business growth from 2023 to 2024, including a 37% increase in total assets, a 30% increase in gross income, and a 541% increase in net income. However, annual transfers from the enterprise to village revenue fluctuated across 2018-2024, indicating that financial contribution depends on wider operational and strategic considerations, not merely business expansion. The major supporting factors were village government support, leadership, community participation, and pentahelix collaboration, whereas human-resource constraints and increasing business competition remained key obstacles. The article contributes an empirically grounded management model for strengthening village enterprises and supports SDG 8 by demonstrating how locally managed enterprises can expand productive employment and inclusive rural economic growth.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: pertama, mengetahui trend kinerja penilik di lapangan dalam melakukan pengendali mutu program dan evaluasi dampak program-program PNFI, kedua, perbandingan jumlah penilik dan beban kerja dengan banyaknya sasaran yang menjadi lembaga yang dibimbing oleh penilik dan, ketiga, faktor pendukung dan penghambat. Metode penelitian yang dipakai pendekatan survei dengan menggunakan instrumen angket, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Teori yang digunakan adalah PNFI, Kinerja dan tupoksi Penilik. Hasil penelitian ditemukan bahwa : 1) Pada umumnya kinerja penilik berada pada posisi sedang (70%), hal ini dilihat dari pendampingan yang dilakukan oleh penilik, tetapi penilik masih beradaptasi pada tupoksi baru yaitu menjadi pengendali mutu program. 2) Jumlah perbandingan pada penilik kesetaraan dan kursus masih memenuhi beban kerja karena menurut perhitungan rumus Arif Sulistyo beban kerja ideal untuk setiap penilik adalah 20 lembaga. Sedangkan untuk penilik PAUD masih dibutuhkan 41 penilik dengan asumsi jumlah lembaga PAUD 826 lembaga. Padahal situasi saat ini jumlah penilik PAUD hanya 7 orang.   Kata kunci : kinerja, penilik, rasio

Abstract

This study examines the influence of village capital investment and managerial training on village-generated revenue, with the educational level of Village-Owned Enterprise directors acting as a moderating variable. A quantitative explanatory design was employed involving 78 active Village-Owned Enterprises in Sleman Regency, Indonesia. Data were collected through questionnaires, financial reports, and official village government documents and analyzed using multiple linear regression and moderation analysis. The results reveal that village capital investment has a positive and significant effect on village-generated revenue, indicating that financial support from village governments strengthens business capacity and expands local economic activities. Managerial training also demonstrates a significant positive influence by enhancing managerial competence, organizational effectiveness, and business innovation. Furthermore, the educational level of Village-Owned Enterprise directors significantly strengthens the effects of both capital investment and managerial training on village-generated revenue. Directors with higher educational attainment are more capable of optimizing resource allocation and applying managerial knowledge to improve organizational performance. The findings suggest that sustainable development of Village-Owned Enterprises requires a combination of adequate financial support, continuous managerial capacity building, and qualified leadership. Strengthening these factors can contribute to improved village economic performance and long-term rural development.

Abstract

Stunting remains a major challenge in human development in Indonesia, particularly in rural communities with limited access to health services and nutritional education. This study aims to analyse the role of Human Development Cadres (Kader Pembangunan Manusia/KPMs) in stunting prevention from a nonformal education perspective in North Bengkulu Regency. A qualitative case study approach was employed in Karang Anyar Village and Talang Pasak Village. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation involving KPMs, health workers, village officials, and beneficiary families. The findings reveal that KPMs perform strategic roles not only as health programme implementers but also as facilitators of community learning, social mediators, and agents of behavioural change. Through participatory educational activities, home visits, and contextual nutritional assistance, KPMs contribute to improving community awareness regarding child nutrition and parenting practices. The effectiveness of their role is influenced by socio-cultural conditions, institutional support, and community participation. The study highlights the importance of strengthening communication and facilitation competencies to support sustainable community-based stunting prevention.

Abstract

This study aims to analyse the use of technology in the parenting patterns of members of the Dharma Wanita Persatuan (DWP) Balai Besar Inseminasi Buatan (BBIB) Ministry of Agriculture in developing children's creativity. Using a qualitative approach with a case study design, this study involved ten mothers who are members of the DWP BBIB who have children aged 5–12 years. Data were obtained through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation, then analysed using the Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña (2018) model. The results showed that technology was used not only as a means of entertainment but also as an educational and creative medium through activities such as digital drawing, making educational videos, and project-based experiments. The mothers acted as idea facilitators, moral mediators, and time and content controllers, creating an authoritative parenting environment that balanced freedom of exploration and discipline. Reflective use of technology strengthens emotional bonds, enhances critical thinking skills, and fosters children's creative expression. This study confirms that intelligent digital parenting based on cultural and spiritual values can shape a creative generation that is adaptable to technological change.

Abstract

Mathematics is still a challenge for students in learning both at school and at home. Children tend to feel insecure when learning mathematics. This research aims to determine the effect of positive disciplinary parenting in mathematics learning on elementary school students' self-confidence. The research method uses quantitative research with an ex post facto design, where research data on learning outcomes uses semester grades in mathematics subjects. The research sample was 30 students from 3 schools taken randomly with taken using a quota sampling technique from each school was determined to have 10 students. Data collection uses learning outcomes tests and student self-confidence questionnaires. The results of the research show a sig value > 0.031 and an F value of 11,774, which means that there is a significant relationship between positive discipline parenting and students' self-confidence in elementary school students' mathematics learning. Apart from that, the results of the student self-confidence questionnaire were in the very high category at 90% and in the high category at 85%, meaning that elementary school students have an average of high self-confidence in learning mathematics with positive disciplinary parenting. Thus, the results of this research need to be taken into consideration by parents and educational institutions collaborating in assisting students to develop self-confidence in learning.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of a blended learning-based parenting model in enhancing parents’ understanding and involvement in a nonformal early childhood education setting. This study employed a descriptive quantitative approach using a one-group pre-test and post-test design. The research population consisted of parents and educators at nonformal early childhood education institutions in Cianjur Regency, Indonesia, with the study specifically conducted at PAUD Al Faqih. A sample of 25 active participants in the parenting program was selected using purposive sampling. Data were collected through questionnaires and documentation, then analyzed using descriptive statistical techniques. The results indicate that the blended learning–based parenting model achieved a feasibility score of 4.2, categorized as feasible. Furthermore, post-test findings demonstrate a substantial improvement in parents’ understanding of positive parenting practices, effective communication, and their roles as primary educators for their children. These findings suggest that the blended learning–based parenting model is effective as an alternative strategy for strengthening parental involvement in nonformal early childhood education.

Abstract

Project-based employment in the event industry presents a paradox: workers continually learn through training, mentoring, professional communities, and project experience, yet capability development does not necessarily translate into well-being. This conceptual article and research protocol develops a theoretical model examining how work capability development may be associated with worker well-being among event workers in Indonesia through work competence, with decent work positioned as a conversion condition and moderator. The model integrates Human Capital Theory, experiential adult learning, the Capability Approach, Psychology of Working Theory, Indonesian Event and MICE competency standards, and validated psychometric measures. Eight hypotheses are proposed covering direct associations, mediation, moderation, and moderated mediation. Empirical validation is planned through a cross-sectional survey of at least 385 paid event workers in Indonesia, supported by cross-cultural instrument adaptation and PLS-SEM analysis to assess the measurement model, HTMT, structural paths, effect sizes, predictive power, and mediation and moderation effects. The contribution of the article lies in distinguishing capability development, work competence, decent work, and worker well-being as analytically distinct constructs and in proposing a model that explains how learning may be converted into competence and well-being under decent working conditions. No empirical findings are claimed before data collection and analysis.
