Abstract

This study aims to examine the performance of pico hydro scale cross flow water turbines using multilevel double penstock as a conductor of water flow. Multilevel double penstock is used to reduce the transportation process from highways that are affordable to four-wheeled vehicles / cars to the location of the installation of the turbine. This condition causes the need for small-scale water turbine designs with lightweight construction with a kock down system. Overall the picohidro scale turbine construction is needed relatively cheaper transportation costs, so that people who have not been reached by the PLN network can be touched by small and cheap electricity. Turbine construction data has a runner diameter of 170 mm, body dimensions 200 mm x 300 mm x 250 mm, frame 250 mm x 800 mm. Pool tando 600 mm x 1200 mm and penstock length 16m. The power produced is theoretically around 2500 watts, with a data flow of 50 liters / second and a water level of 8 m. 65% efficiency. The research method is analyzing the double penstock water flow, by making paralon pipes in stages, ranging from 5 incci diameter, 4 inches and 3 inches, flow analysis approach using a gradient line, where the incoming water velocity and water velocity come out until entering the transmitting pipe. The performance results of this turbine provide an average actual power of up to 2000 watts. The stability of the inlet water condition is used by the Tando pond as a water bath. If there is excess water in the sediment tank, the water gate is used out, where excess water will automatically flow into the exhaust channel.

Abstract

The strength of the welding result is strongly influenced by several factors, one of which is the selection of high current. This study aims to determine the effect of high current of welding on the strength of low carbon steel welding joints. The process of welding the material uses the open V seam connection type. The variations of the high current used were 80 A, 100 A and 130 A. The specimen used was a carbon steel plate with code of 1.0038 with thickness of 8 mm and the electrode used was the E7018 electrode with diameter of 3.2 mm. The strength of the welding results is influenced by arc voltage, amount of current, welding speed, amount of penetration and electric polarity. Determination of the amount of current in metal joints using arc welding affects the work efficiency and welding materials. Based on the research, it was found that welding using high current of 100 ampere produced the highest tensile strength value of all test specimens that were given welding treatment and good penetration results.

Abstract

The use of cooling media in post welding process will affect the tensile strength of a material. This study aims to determine how much the influence of using cooling media in post welding and which cooling media is appropriate to use. The process is done by comparing the tensile strength of each cooling media, namely the cooling media of water, air, and coolant. The use of cooling media is carried out after the welding process, until the material that is ready to be welded reaches room temperature. Based on the experiments that have been conducted, the use of post-welding cooling media affects the tensile strength of medium carbon steel with the highest effect on the water cooling media, then the coolant media, and the lowest is the air cooling media. Therefore, the choice of the use of cooling media significantly affects the tensile strength of medium carbon steel in the post-welding process.

Abstract

Energy consumption of a building is one of the biggest sources of energy use today. Green Building Comitte Indonesia (GBCI) has launched a concept of energy consumption saving in a nationally standard building. Audit Building energy audit is the way to know how actual building energy consumption is and find alternative solution to decrease energy consumption in order to fulfill the energy saving building criteria. Two types of HVAC systems will be run in the EnergyPlus simulation, split AC and central AC. The previous research proved that central AC is better than split AC system for energy saving in the building with 20 floors. The simulation results show that by using a certain energy system, a more efficient energy system will be achieved and can still maintain the comfort of the room at a temperature of 24 °C and relative humidity according to the Green Building Indonesia standard reference.

Abstract

The loss of oil fluid flow in the piping system in the petroleum industry due to friction is the cause of low efficiency. To reduce friction loss, the viscosity of petroleum can be lowered by adding water as a mixture. Actually, the flow loss in a piping system is influenced by several factors including flow pattern, fluid type, flow velocity, flow pressure and pipe diameter. This study aims to determine the effect of flow patterns on changes in velocity in the two-phase flow of oil and water in a piping system. This numerical analysis research was carried out using Fluent 6.2 software with variations in the velocity of the oil-water mixture: 0.2, 0.4 and 0.6 m/s. The simulation results show that the greatest pressure loss occurs at a fluid velocity of 0.6 m/s where the flow is stratified mixed. While the smallest pressure loss at a mixture velocity of 0.2 m/s when the flow is stratified smooth. From the results of the study, it can be concluded that the increase in fluid flow velocity has a positive correlation with the increase in the value of flow losses in the pipe.

Abstract

Reconstruction of the road section uses the flexible pavement method where aggregate material is the main component of the structure. Choosing the right aggregate gradation and meeting the specification requirements will greatly determine the quality of the road. This research aims to determine the characteristics of aggregate gradation sourced from stock files and compare the results of aggregate gradation analysis of job mix design planning consultants. The method uses laboratory testing. Aggregate wear test results 2-3 = 5.36%, 1-2 = 6.14%. The absorption value of aggregate 2-3 = 0.87%, 1-2 = 1.79%, 0.5 - 1 = 1.80% and stone ash = 2.27%. Values of dry specific gravity, SSD specific gravity, and apparent specific gravity of aggregate 2-3 = 2.73, 2.69, 2.66, 1-2 = 2.72, 2.64, 2.62 0.5- 1 = 2.70, 2.62, 2.58, rock ash = 2, 53, 2.59, 2.69. These values meet the requirements of the 2018 Bina Marga specifications, 2nd revision. The comparison of the results of the field aggregate gradation test analysis with the results of the job mix design analysis is the same because the aggregates tested come from the same stock file. The results of the sieve analysis test showed that the coarse aggregate fineness modulus of 2-3, 1-2, and 0.5 - 1 did not meet the specification standards, while the fine aggregate for stone ash did. The value that does not meet is caused by not paying attention to the additional note that the coarse aggregate retained on the 1" sieve is ±6%.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji faktor-faktor yang berpengaruh terhadap terjadinya kecurangan laporan keuangan yang disebut dengan fraud hexagon sebelum dan selama masa pandemi Covid-19. Penelitian ini menggunakan data laporan keuangan kuartalan perusahaan farmasi yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia tahun 2018-2021. Penelitian ini menerapkan teknik purposive sampling. Hasil penelitian ini membuktikan bahwa opportunity dan rationalization berpengaruh terhadap terjadinya fraudulent financial reporting. Sementara itu, stimulus, capability, collusion, dan ego tidak berpengaruh terhadap terjadinya fraudulent financial reporting. Berdasarkan uji beda, secara empiris terbukti bahwa fraudulent financial reporting menurun pada periode selama pandemi Covid-19 dibandingkan dengan periode sebelum terjadinya pandemi Covid-19.

Abstract

Tujuan yang diharapkan dicapai dalam program Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) dari PT. Vale Indonesia, pelatihan las Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW), Oxy-Acetylene Welding (OAW) dan Oxy-Acetylene Cutting (OAC) bagi calon tenaga kerja khususnya pemuda-pemudi yang berasal dari Kabupaten Morowali Provinsi Sulawesi Tengah serta pelaksanaan program pengabdian kepada masyarakat oleh Akademi Teknik Soroako (ATS). Metode atau konsep link and match diimplementasikan untuk mewujudkan tujuan tersebut di atas agar program pelatihan benar-benar sesuai dengan kebutuhan industri, masyarakat dan Pemda Kabupaten Morowali. PT. Vale Indonesia sebagai penyandang dana, Pemda menyediakan pemuda-pemudi yang akan dilatih dan ATS menyiapkan kurikulum dan semua sumber daya yang dibutuhkan untuk pelaksanaan pelatihan las SMAW, OAW dan OAC. Dari program pelatihan las yang ada dihasilkan pemuda-pemudi yang siap kerja dengan kompetensi las yang sangat baik dan yang lebih penting lagi adalah terjadinya perubahan sikap dan perilaku yang baik dan produktif serta mampu mengaplikasikan budaya K3 dengan baik.

Abstract

The use of A36 plate in the construction sector is closely related to connecting or welding between metals because it is useful in assembling a product to lighten human work. Examples of the use of A36 plate in the construction sector can be seen in trellis workshops, where this plate is often used as a support or support in making a balcony or canopy. However, sometimes workers do not understand how strong the plate is after being treated with welding, often they just guess at the durability of the plate, so this can cause various kinds of losses. Starting from damage to work objects to causing work accidents that result in loss of life. Therefore, this research examines the effect of variations in current strength on bending strength. This test was carried out on A36 plate material which was subjected to welding effects with varying currents of 80A, 100A, 120A and 140A. and a bending test was carried out using the ASTM E190-14 test standard, the results of this test were that at a current of 80A the bending strength value was 161.173 N/〖mm〗^2. Current 100A with a value of 229.851 N/〖mm〗^2. Current 120A with a value of 270.374 N/〖mm〗^2. And a current of 140A with a value of 374.839 N/〖mm〗^2. The test object with a current strength of 140A is the test object that has the highest bending strength value.

Abstract

Permasalahan mitra di Asam Kamba Pasar Baru Kecamatan Bayang Kabupaten Pesisir Selatan Sumatera Barat adalah tidak sesuainya harga pembelian pelet (pakan ikan) oleh peternak ikan dengan pendapatan penjualan ikan. Harga pembelian pelet (pakan  ikan) yang mahal menghambat dari usaha peternak ikan. Permasalahan kedua pelet yan dijual di pasar pakan ikan  kadang kala tidak tersedia secara kontinu. Solusi yang ditawarkan dalam kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat adalah mengadakan Mesin Pellet Maker Four Roller System di desa Asam Kamba Pasar Baru Pesisir Selatan Sumatera Barat. Dengan tersedia nya Mesin Pellet Maker Four Roller System maka akan teratasi masalah masarakat dalam usaha Peternak ikan. Masarakat peternak ikan dapat memproduksi ikan secara mandiri dan mengurangi biaya dalam peternak ikan dan dapat meningkatkan ekonomi masyarakat. Mesin Pellet Maker Four Roller System dirancang dengan khusus untuk dapat memproduksi pakan ikan dengan efektif. Karna dengan menggunakan Sistem empat Roler dapat memproduksi ikan dengan Optimal. Uraian singkat rencana kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat adalah membuka wawasan masyarakat terhadap aplikasi teknologi tepat guna. Aplikasi teknologi tepat guna ini adalah penerapan mesin pembuat pelet ikan. Diharapkan dari kegiatan pengabdian ini masyarakat peternak ikan ini dapat memproduksi  pakan ternak secara mandiri.  Ketersediaan bahan baku untuk pakan ternak ikan ini cukup banyak tersedia disekitar. Mulai dari dedak, ampas tahu,  tepung ikan, jagung  dan sebagainya. Pemanfaatan bahan baku ini memberikan masukan bagi masyarakat sekaligus terbuka alih teknologi tepat guna. Dampak lain juga memberikan lapangan kerja baru dimasyarakat seperti untuk operasional dan perawatan mesin, pengumpul bahan baku, distribusi pakan ternak dan sebagainya. Secara  keseluruahan kegiatan pengabdian masyarakt ini dapat memberikan peningkatan ekonomi masyarakat. Selain menambah wawasan masyarakat rencana kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat adalah melakukan desain Mesin Pellet Maker Four Roller System, membuat mesin pencetak pelet Sistem empat Roler, mendemontrasikan kemasyarakat Asam Kamba Pasar Baru Kecamatan Bayang Kabupaten Pesisir Selatan Sumatera Barat, melatih masarakat dalam memroduksi pelet dan memberikan langkah-langkah perawatan dari mesin pencetak pelet ikan Sistem empat Roler.
