Abstract

Improving Students’ Writing Ability In The Procedure Text Using Duolingo Application At 8 Grade Students Of SMP Negeri 5 Pati. Final Project, English Study Program, Faculty of Language and Arts Education, Universitas PGRI Semarang. Supervisor I Dra. Maria Yosephin, M.Pd, Supervisor II: Dra. Siti Lestari, M.Pd. This study aims to 1) to find out the improvement of students’ writing competence in procedure text before they are taught using the Duolingo application. 2) to find out the improvement of students’ writing competence in procedure text skills after they are taught using the Duolingo application. 3) to explain the significant difference in students’ writing competence in procedure text taught before and after using Duolingo application. In this study, the researcher used quantitative research. An experimental design was applied in carrying out this study. The researcher took two classes as samples: VIII A (experimental group) and VIII B (control group). The experimental group has been given treatment by duolingo application in procedure text. On the other hand, the control group was not assigned treatment at all. The population in this study was class VIII in the academic year 2023/2024. This study indicated that using Duolingo Application in procedure text is an effective technique. The results of the pre-test mean scores in both classes were 66.34 for the experimental group and 66.94 for the control group. In addition, the mean post-test score of experimental group was 84.78, and the control group was 76.66. These findings were calculated using the t-test formula. The t-test > t-table, based on the test results. T-table 5% percentage is 1.670. the computation shows that 6.180 > 1.670. There is a significant difference in students using the Duolingo application in procedure text for students of grade 8 of SMP Negeri 5 Pati. Students are interested and excited when using Duolingo Application in the learning and teaching process with the goal of developing students’ writing skills. Based on the research findings, the researcher concludes that using Duolingo Application in procedure text can help students to develop and improve students writing skills.

Abstract

The application of artificial intelligence (Artificial Intelligence) for problem-solving in the field of computer science has experienced rapid development from year to year as the development of artificial intelligence itself. Problems involving searching (searching) is one example of the use of artificial intelligence that is quite popular to solve various kinds of problems. In daily activities, the use of roads is always an unavoidable activity, so determining the shortest path from one point to another becomes a problem that is often encountered. This is also felt by residents who live in a large enough housing. Sometimes to be able to reach the destination they are often confused in deciding which way to go to get the shortest distance to the destination. Citra Indah City Housing is a residential area in the Jonggol District area, Bogor Regency, developed by the Ciputra group. Within the Vignolia Hill Cluster, there is a mosque located on the northwest corner of the Vignolia Hill cluster or at the western end of the AH.17 block. A large number of blocks raise problems regarding the shortest route that can be taken by residents to get to the mosque. So, the purpose of this research is to determine the shortest path taken by citizens to get to the mosque. The method used is to apply the Djikstra algorithm which is able to produce the shortest route for residents to get to the mosque.

Abstract

Penyakit kronis adalah penyebab kematian terbesar di dunia, termasuk penyakit kronis yang menyerang anak. Penyakit kronis yang diderita anak tersebut perlu dilakukan screening secara dini agar apabila terdapat penyimpangan, maka akan dilakukan penanganan yang segera sehingga tidak terlambat ditangani. Upaya pemerintah dan masyarakat yang dapat dilakukan dalam meningkatkan kualitas anak dengan penyakit kronis dalam mencapai tumbuh kembang yang optimal guna mendeteksi adanya kelainan pada anak kronis dalam deteksi dini, diantaranya dengan program KPSP (Kuesioner Pra Skrining Perkembangan). Kegiatan abdimas ini bertujuan untuk pembentukan kelompok Kader Posyandu dan melatih kader untuk dapat melakukan penilaian atau tes tumbuh kembang anak kronis dengan menggunakan KPSP. Kegiatan ini dilakukan di Kelurahan Karangayu Kota Semarang dengan diikuti oleh 17 orang kader dan 32 balita. Tim abdimas melakukan skrining awal pada masalah tumbuh kembang anak di wilayah mitra serta melatih kader dalam melakukan skrining dengan menggunakan KPSP. Selanjutnya kegiatan skrining dilakukan oleh kader bersamaan dengan kegiatan posyandu di wilayah mitra. Hasil kegiatan abdimas ini didapatkan hasil terbentuknya kelompok kader yang sudah dilatih tentang KPSP mampu melakukan deteksi dini KPSP, pemeriksaan dan penanganan masalah tumbuh kembang anak kronis secara berkala, kader posyandu melaksanakan program KPSP melalui upaya preventif dan promotif dalam setiap kegiatan Posyandu anak.

Abstract

Segiempat merupakan salah satu materi yang diajarkan pada jenjang SMP/MTS. Segiempat banyak ditemukan di dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan bagaimana penerapan LKPD interaktif berbasis teori van hiele dan menganalisis hasil jawaban siswa terhadap kemampuan berfikir. Solusi dari permasalahan tersebut adalah meningkatkan pemahaman siswa melalui pengembangan LKPD yang mengacu pada teori Van Hiele. Metode penelitian yang digunakan peneliti adalah eksperimen dengan desain static group design. Sampel yang diamati adalah 22 peserta didik kelas VII yang terdiri dari dua kelas, yaitu kelas kontrol dan kelas eksperimen.Hasil penelitian menunjukan kemampuan berpikir peserta didik tinggi terdapat 5 peserta didik (22,7%), kemampuan peserta didik sedang terdapat 7 peserta didik (31,8%), dan untuk kemampuan peserta didik rendah terdapat 10 peserta didik (45,5%). Rata-rata kemampuan berpikir peserta didik kelas VII materi segiempat berada pada kelompok rendah.

Abstract

Chronic disease in children requires long-term care because of the prognosis and development of the disease. Chronic illness is not an easy thing for children and parents to deal with. Children undergoing medical and nursing care are scary things, these conditions require them to adapt to new routines that are part of their lives every day. This condition can be categorized as a traumatic event, which can affect psychological changes. These psychological changes are called post traumatic growth. Changes in these conditions become one of the factors that affect the quality of life. This study aims to determine the relationship between post traumatic growth and the quality of life of school-age children who are undergoing palliative care. This type of quantitative research with cross sectional approach method. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling with a sample size of 63 respondents. Based on the results of the Sperm- rank statistical test, a p-value of 0.013 was obtained with a positive correlation with a result of 0.312, so that it can be interpreted that there is a relationship between post traumatic growth and the quality of life of school-age children undergoing palliative care. Suggestions to parents or families are expected to always pay attention to physical and psychological conditions, as well as provide motivation and enthusiasm in undergoing palliative care so as to improve the quality of life in patients after experiencing a post traumatic growth process.

Abstract

Kebutuhan ruangan intensif seperti ICU, ICCU, IGD di rumah sakit cenderung mengalami peningkatan sehingga pemenuhan pelayanan intensif tidak memadai karena keterbatasan ruangan. Keadan ini mendorong berkembangnya konsep ICU without wall yaitu pelayanan intensif yang tidak terbatas pada ruangan intensif semata, namun pelayanan intensif dapat diberikan di ruang inap/bangsal umum, dengan kata lain dalam keadaan tertentu pelayanan intensif tidak harus diberikan di ICU. Perawatan pasien kritis yang tidak membutuhkan prosedur khusus dan/atau peralatan tertentu. mampu pelaksanakan Early Warning Score System (EWSS) dalam asuhan keperawatan.  Tujuan Pelatihan adalah untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan ketrampilan perawat dalam implementasi EWSS. Metode kegiatan meliputi ceramah, diskusi  dan praktik. Kegiatan ini diikuti oleh 48 perawat, Sebelum dan setelah kegiatan dilakukan test tentang tingkat pengetahuan dan ketrampilan EWSS. Hasil terdapat peningkatan pengethuan dan ketrampilan perawat dalam EWSS. Saran EWSS perlu diimplementasikan di ruangan perawatan sebagai upaya deteksi dini terhadap penurunan kesehatan pasien sehingga bisa diambil langkah secara dini.

Abstract

Junior high school education is an advanced stage of mastering English. However, students' levels of ability to receive and master the material differ from each other. Teachers need to apply better learning methods so that students can develop according to their educational level, one of the methods is scaffolding method. The problem studied refers to the problem formulation as follows: 1) How do teachers use scaffolding in teaching English at Kanisius St. Yoris Junior High School Semarang? 2) What types of scaffolding do the teachers use? 3) Why do teachers use scaffolding teaching techniques with their students? This research method is a qualitative descriptive method. The research subjects are St. Yoris Kanisius Junior High School teachers. The stages of the research method are through data collection (observation, questionnaires and interviews), data classification and data analysis carried out directly at St. Yoris Kanisius Junior High School Semarang. The conclusions of this research are: 1) Teachers use scaffolding in teaching English at St. Yoris Kanisius Junior High School Semarang during pre activity, main activity and post activity; 2) The types of scaffolding applied are scaffolding down and scaffolding up; 3) Teachers use scaffolding teaching techniques to their students because scaffolding creates a supportive learning environment, helps reduce boredom and increase student activity, and reduces tension so that the material presented can be received and absorbed well by students.

Abstract

This study aims to develop and review the effectiveness of learning student worksheet based on the AL-MASTER model to improve students' critical thinking skills. The research was conducted at SMP Negeri 1 Purbolinggo. This type of research is research and development or Research and Development (R&D). The research and development process includes four stages: defining, planning, developing, and disseminating. The analysis included (1) data analysis of questionnaire validation of teaching materials and respondents and (2) analysis of critical thinking ability test data. The results of the analysis show that after using the AL-MASTER Model-based LKPD, it can be concluded that (1) The average results of expert assessment of the feasibility level of product development are in the feasible category, (2) The results of product trials and reviewing students' critical thinking skills show an increase in the Pre-Test average and the Post-Test average in class VIII.1 and the results of the N-gain percentage for that class were 68.74% with quite effective criteria, (3) Learning showed that time efficiency in class VIII.1 was quite efficient and the percentage of completeness in the experimental class was 74.17% or 26 students complete while the percentage of completeness, and (4) the response of teachers and students in the category was exciting.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan dan meninjau efektifitas pembelajaran lembar kerja peserta didik (LKPD) berbasis model AL-MASTER untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik. Penelitian dilaksanakan di SMP Negeri 1 Purbolinggo. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan penelitian dan pengembangan atau Research and Development (R&D). Proses penelitian dan pengembangan meliputi empat tahapan yaitu: pendefinisian, perencanaan, pengembangan, penyebaran. Analisis yang dilakukan mmeliputi (1) analisis data lembar angket validasi bahan ajar dan responden, dan (2) analisis data tes kemampuan berpikir kritis. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa setelah penggunaan lembar kerja peserta didik berbasis Model AL-MASTER diperoleh simpulan bahwa (1) Hasil rerata penilaian ahli terhadap produk pengembangan tingkat kelayakan dalam kategori layak, (2) Hasil ujicoba produk dan meninjau kemampuan berpikir krtisi peserta didik terdapat peningkatan rerata Pre-Test dan rerata postest pada kelas VIII.1 dan hasil persentase N-gain untuk kelas tersebut sebesar 68,74% dengan kriteria cukup efektif, (3) Pembelajaran menunjukan bahwa efisiensi waktu pada kelas VIII.1 cukup efisien dan persentase ketuntasan kelas eksperimen sebesar 74,17% atau 26 peserta didik tuntas sedangkan persentase ketuntasan, dan (4) Respon guru dan peserta didik daam kategori sangat menarik.

Abstract

Children aged 2-5 years who suffer from thrombocytopenia are at risk of reducing oral fluid intake. Platelets are blood cells that play a role in stopping bleeding from damaged blood vessels. Bleeding increases the risk of hypovolemia. An intervention that can be used to increase oral fluid intake in children with symptoms of thrombocytopenia is giving them water using a cheerful bottle. Cheerful bottles are drinking bottles that are attractively designed, shaped like cartoon characters, and have colors according to children's favorites. When the child sucks on the bottle, a fountain will appear at the top of the bottle, thereby increasing the child's interest in drinking. This research design uses a one-group pre and post-test design. Sampling was carried out using a total sampling technique, as many as 36 respondents participated in this research. Data was collected using pre- and post-intervention oral fluid intake observation sheets. The significance value of the research results is 0.02 (P-value > 0.05), which means that there is an influence of using a cheerful bottle on increasing oral fluid intake in children with thrombocytopenia.

Abstract

Penyakit berbasis lingkungan seperti diare dapat terjadi akibat kurangnya kemampuan hygiene dan cuci tangan pada anak. Kemampuan mencuci tangan yang baik dan benar terbukti secara efektif mencegah diare, namun rendahnya kemampuan cuci tangan pada anak harus diatasi dengan berbagai metode edukasi yang menarik. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui efektifitas edukasi cuci tangan dengan metode storytelling menggunakan gloves ceria terhadap kemampuan cuci tangan anak penderita diare. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode quasy eksperiment dengan pendekatan one group pre-test & post-test design. Tehnik pengambilan sampel menggunakan purposive sampling, sebanyak 31 responden usia sekolah berpartisipasi. Intervensi diberikan dengan mengikuti SOP cuci tangan standar WHO. Masing-masing responden mendapatkan edukasi sebanyak 3x sehari selama 3 hari berturut-turut. Pengumpulan data kemampuan cuci tangan dinilai dan diobservasi menggunakan lembar observasi. Data dianalisais menggunakan uji statistik Wilcoxon signed rank test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat efektifitas pemberian edukasi cuci tangan dengan metode storrytelling menggunakan gloves ceria terhadap kemampuan cuci tangan pada anak penderita diare dengan p value 0.000. Diharapkan perawat dapat menerapkan metode storrytelling menggunakan gloves ceria untuk meningkatkan motivasi dan kemampuan cuci tangan anak penderita diare. Environmental-based diseases such as diarrhea occur due to a lack of hygiene and hand-washing skills in children. The ability to wash hands well and correctly has been proven effective in preventing diarrhea. The low ability to wash hands in children must be overcome with various interesting educational methods. This research aims to determine the effectiveness of hand-washing education using the storytelling method using cheerful gloves on the hand-washing ability of children with diarrhea. This research uses a quasi-experimental method with a one-group pre-test & post-test design approach. The sampling technique used purposive sampling, and 31 school-age respondents participated. Interventions are provided by following WHO standard hand washing SOPs. Each respondent received education 3 times a day for 3 consecutive days. Data collection on hand-washing ability was assessed and observed using an observation sheet. Data analysis used the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test statistical test. The research results show effectiveness in providing hand washing education using the storytelling method using cheerful gloves on the ability to wash hands in children suffering from diarrhea with a p-value of 0.000. It is hoped that nurses can apply the storytelling method using cheerful gloves to increase the motivation and ability to wash the hands of children with diarrhea.
