Abstract

Total Productive Maintenance is one of the maintenance process methods developed to increase productivity in the work area, by making the process more reliable and less wasteful. This method is part of Lean Manufacturing. A common problem in TPM is due to the lack of comprehensive involvement of production operators in machine maintenance and the tendency to leave machine maintenance to maintenance. This is due to lack of standard machine maintenance, lack of training for operators, operators are less skilled in carrying out maintenance, and also inadequate working environment. A common problem nowadays is the problem of porosity in the die casting part due to incorrect TPM during prevention and operators who do not understand the potential of preventive cooling cause porosity and prevention as it starts from cooling propagating to porosity to other abnormal parts.

Abstract

Tujuan utama dari makalah ini adalah untuk menganalisis penelitian terkini tentang Total Quality Management (TQM) di industri manufaktur dan mengidentifikasi peluang penelitian lebih lanjut. Penelitian ini menggunakan tinjauan pustaka sistematis dari artikel ilmiah terbaru (2016-2021) yang dicari dengan mengikuti kriteria inklusi dan eksklusi yang spesifik. Ditemukan tiga kategori utama tujuan penelitian, yaitu: pengembangan TQM, strategi TQM, dan dampak TQM. Beberapa tahun belakangan, riset mengenai dampak TQM adalah yang paling populer dan selalu ada dari tahun ke tahun, sedangkan riset mengenai pengembangan TQM adalah yang paling tidak popular. Penelitian ini dapat memberikan wawasan kepada peneliti, konsultan, dan manajer kualitas dalam pengembangan dan implementasi TQM di sektor manufaktur. Penelitian ini menemukan bahwa meskipun penelitian tentang bagian-bagian TQM (seperti alat TQM) sangat banyak, penelitian tentang metodologi TQM secara menyeluruh ternyata tidak banyak. Riset empiris tentang digitalisasi TQM atau yang lebih dikenal dengan Quality 4.0 bahkan belum ada, padahal sudah dipopulerkan sejak tahun 2017 setelah berkembangnya ndustri 4.0.

Abstract

One measure of the extent to which resources are managed and used to optimize outcomes is the definition of productivity. In companies, manpower productivity measurements are conducted to analyze and improve production efficiency. This is also done to eliminate the root cause of labor productivity problems. This research is related to productivity analysis in the stationery (pen) production industry. A common problem is inefficiency and low productivity in the Company. Therefore, analyzing productivity related to efficiency, quality and effectiveness can help the Company in overcoming this problem. The result obtained in this industry is that the productivity value is good because there is no productivity value below 1. Moreover, productivity is also effective and efficient. Effectiveness is related to output, i.e. production output, as well as efficiency related to input (input), i.e. labor. Another factor is quality.

Abstract

The main objective of this study was to examine the potential of production planning process optimization in Zinc Plated Steel (BjLS) manufacturing industry through Non Linear Programming (NLP) simulation. The manufacturing industry in the steel sub -sector is one of the strategic industries as it is a pillar of national development. Global competition requires companies to continuously improve the efficiency of their production activities, which is heavily influenced by the production planning process. With good production planning, it is hoped that the company can optimize the use of limited resources to achieve the company's goals. This study found that the most appropriate optimization to the real situation of the BjLS manufacturing industry is multivariate NLP with constraints on production volume, production time, raw material supply and budget to purchase raw materials. This research can also provide input on the production mix that best suits the company’s resources.

Abstract

From the results of observations at petrol station 34–17521 South Tambun, it was found that in a certain period there were queues exceeding the service standard of petrol stations causing customers to leave the queue. This study aims to measure the performance of gas station queues and propose a queuing line system optimization strategy with Multi Channel Single Phase (M/M/S) queuing model. Collect data using in -depth observations and interviews. Queuing data was taken for two weeks during the COVID-19 pandemic, daily from 06.00 to 20.00 WIB. From the results of the study, service optimization strategy is proposed with 3 channels at 17.00 - 18.00 WIB and 2 channels at 06.00 - 07.00, 12.00 - 13.00, 16.00 - 17.00, and 18.00 - 19.00 to reduce the number of queues at 18.00 - 19.00. to achieve gas station performance targets and maintain customer satisfaction.

Abstract

Sustainability of the supply chain is determined by the performance of each partner in the chain. The relationship between buyers and suppliers has an important role in improving supply chain sustainability. Supplier relationship management is one of the most important supply chain related activities for most companies that work with multiple suppliers. The purpose of this study is to present strategies for supplier collaboration and improvement. appropriate supplier development strategies for each dimension are suggested. Purchasing Portfolio Matrix (PPM) - The Supplier Portfolio Matrix (SPM) for supplier segmentation and company executives can have the opportunity to use supplier collaboration and development strategies in the supply chain. Supplier segmentation uses combined PPM-SPM segmentation in the observed Indonesian manufacturing industry to be able to manage supplier relationships. This study proposes an integrative approach that includes supplier risk variables, profit impact, supplier willingness, and supplier ability as criteria for supplier segmentation. The method used in this study is the Best-Worst Method (BWM) to obtain the initial weight of supplier evaluation. The results of this study are recommendations for selecting the appropriate supplier relationship management strategy for each supplier segment.

Abstract

Kehidupan masyarakat urban yang padat penduduk salah satunya dapat menimbulkan masalah sampah. Jumlah sampah akan meningkat seiring dengan peningkatan jumlah produksi dan konsumsi, hal ini yang dilatarbelakangi oleh populasi penduduk dan kesejahteraannya. Peringkat teratas dari jumlah sampah yang ditimbulkan selama tahun 2023, berdasarkan jenisnya ialah sisa makanan, sedangkan berdasarkan sumbernya ialah sampah rumah tangga. Permasalahan sampah memberikan dampak yang buruk terhadap lingkungan, pemanasan global, ekosistem, juga terhadap kesehatan manusia. Hal inilah yang menjadi latar belakang dari kegiatan sosialisasi ini. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini berupa sosialisasi dengan memberikan penyuluhan tentang kondisi jumlah sampah masyarakat secara kumulatif, dampaknya dan bagaimana peran masyarakat untuk melaksanakan program 3R Reduce, Reuse dan Recycle sebagai upaya pengelolaan lingkungan secara berkelanjutan. Setelah berjalannya kegiatan sosialisasi diharapkan para peserta memiliki pemahaman tentang bahaya sampah dan bersedia menjalankan program 3R secara sukarela dan mandiri. Harapannya program 3R dapat tersosialisasi secara meluas di semua lapisan kehidupan bermasyarakat.

Abstract

This study aims to improve the efficiency of the change model process in injection molding machines at PT. XYZ by applying the Single Minute Exchange of Die (SMED) method. Collected data includes process times, workstation layout configurations, and the effects of changes before and after SMED implementation. The research focuses on the injection molding line that produces components with different molds, requiring significant time for mold changes. Analysis identified 27 work elements in the change model process, aiming to reduce inefficiencies caused by manpower, material, environment, and methods. Improvements were made through training, work method standardization, and layout optimization. The implementation results showed a reduction in change model time by 17.6 minutes per session, increasing productivity and cost efficiency by Rp 1,692,810,- per month. Standardization and training also enhanced the safety and comfort of operators.

Abstract

The manufacturing industry, particularly in the automotive and electronic component sectors, faces various challenges in producing high-quality goods while maintaining optimal production efficiency. PT DMI, which is engaged in manufacturing automotive components, is trying to improve the quality of its products, especially on servo motor components that play an important role as drivers in various automotive applications. However, the company was experiencing serious problems related to a high rate of product defects, which resulted in additional costs due to the remanufacturing process and decreased customer satisfaction.To overcome these issues, an effective quality control approach is needed. One method that has proven effective is Six Sigma, which focuses on reducing variability in the production process and eliminating product defects. Through the DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control) approach, Six Sigma can help companies identify and resolve the source of problems that cause product defects. This research aims to implement Six Sigma as a quality control strategy at PT DMI and evaluate its effectiveness in reducing defects in servo motor products. Thus, the company is expected to increase productivity and meet international quality standards.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana Efektifitas Supply Chain Management Meningkatkan Efesiensi Pasokan Pada PT Chemi-Con Indonesia. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dimana . Jenis penelitian ini termasuk dalam kategori penelitian kualitatif dan dikerjakan dalam bentuk observasi, wawancara dan interview di lapang, dokumentasi dan studi kepustakaan. Prosedur Penelitian Kegiatan dimulai dan diawali dengan mendatangi PT Chemi-con Indonesia serta melakukan observasi berupa pengumpulan data secara langsung terhadap proses yang berlangsung di pabrik. Berkaitan dengan itu dilakukan kegiatan identifikasi, pelaku dan sumber pasokan. Hasil analisis, PT Chemi-Con Indonesia berhasil menerapkan Supply Chain Management secara efektif yaitu efisiensi dalam manajemen persediaan dan pengurangan biaya logistik, Ketepatan waktu pengiriman yang tinggi dan pengelolaan hubungan pemasok yang baik, Perbaikan sistem berbasis teknologi yang mempercepat proses operasional.
