Abstract

PT Chandra Nugerah Cemerlang is a company that operates in the production of motorcycle and car components. To streamline its production, PT Chandra Nugerah Cemerlang uses production factors including raw materials, labor, capital, and specific technology. The main goal is to maintain and expand market share through good production results. Based on the above background, researchers are interested in knowing the extent of efficiency and effectiveness capacity of the production factors at PT Chandra Nugerah Cemerlang, especially labor and machine factors. CNC Group operates in manufacturing and engineering, producing components and spare parts for two-wheeled and four-wheeled vehicles using pressing and welding processes. PT Chandra Nugrah Cemerlang has customers such as Yamaha, Suzuki, and Kawasaki. One of the production processes to be analyzed is the welding robot line at PT CNC 2, which includes 18 robot welders and 3 Otc Daihen manual welding machines. Manual welding is used to fix suboptimal results from the robot welding. PT CNC Group is also committed to improving culture, human resources, and productivity to face global competition.

Abstract

Every manufacturing industry is required to make continuous improvements, one of which is reducing waste in order to achieve efficiency and productivity in the production process. One of them is the assembly manufacturing industry in Indonesia. Based on initial observations, one of the manufacturing industries in the Cikarang Industrial Area has experienced failure to achieve production targets by the company, thus disrupting productivity. Currently, the achievement of 76% is still below the target of 80%. The purpose of this study is to improve the production process by reducing waste so that efficiency and productivity can be increased. A suitable and relevant method is to combine the Lean Manufacturing-based method with the Kaizen concept because it is believed to be able to increase productivity by using many improvement tools. This study uses two data collection techniques, namely observation and focus group discussion. The results of the study showed a reduction in the number of workers by 1 person and a reduction in process time from 184.6 seconds to 90.4 seconds or 51%. These results indicate that the implementation of lean manufacturing can increase the efficiency of the assembly process. Setiap industri manufaktur dituntut untuk melakukan perbaikan secara berkesinambungan salah satunya mengurangi pemborosan agar dicapainya efisiensi dan produktivitas dalam proses produksi. Salah satunya industri manufaktur perakitan yang ada di Indonesia. Berdasarkan observasi awal bahwa salah satu industri manufaktur yang ada di Kawasan Industri Cikarang telah mengalami ketidaktercapain target produksi oleh perusahaan sehingga mengganggu produktivitas. Saat ini, ketercapaian sebesar 76% masih di bawah target sebesar 80%. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk memperbaiki proses produksi dengan mengurangi pemborosan sehingga efisiensi dan produktivitas dapat ditingkatkan. Metode yang cocok dan relevan adalah dengan menggabungkan metode Lean berbasis Manufaktur dengan konsep Kaizen karena diyakini dapat meningkatkan produktivitas dengan menggunakan banyak tool perbaikan. Penelitian ini menggunakan dua teknik pengumpulan data yaitu observasi dan focus group discussion. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pengurangan jumlah tenaga kerja sebanyak 1 orang dan pengurangan waktu proses dari 184,6 detik menjadi 90,4 detik atau sebesar 51%. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa implementasi lean manufacturing dapat meningkatkan efisiensi proses perakitan.

Abstract

Competition for Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) products is currently getting tougher, in terms of quality, timely delivery, and competitive prices. SME customers of bread and donut products sometimes complain about the visual quality of bread and donut products that are stale, burnt, and dirty. The purpose of this research is to reduce product defects during the production process and improve the quality of the bread and donut products. This research method uses a Kaizen approach combined with the Design of Experiment (DoE) one-shoot case study method and uses organoleptic tests to assess the quality of bread and donut products. This study found that there were 3 product defect problems, namely bread and donut defects that did not rise, burnt donut defects, bread defects, and dirty donuts. This research resulted in a decrease in defects of 65% from 3.84% to 1.07%. While the best DoE test results used dough type C with 10 grams fermipan/yeast composition and 15 grams bread improver, stove 165-1750C, equipment cleaning frequency 1 time for each dough, and organoleptic test with 10% beetroot extract addition resulted in a color aspect score of 70 %, 65% aroma aspect, 68.5% texture aspect, and 70% taste aspect which is liked by many people.

Abstract

In an increasingly competitive business environment, employee performance is a crucial factor in determining the sustainability and competitiveness of a company. Employee performance is influenced by several factors, such as leadership style and work environment. This study focuses on PT Sinergi Adimitra Jaya, a manufacturing company specializing in the production of baby and adult diapers, to analyze the influence of these factors on employee performance with job satisfaction as a mediating variable. The research approach used in this study is a quantitative approach. Data collection was carried out by survey using questionnaires distributed to 102 employees. The sampling technique used saturated sampling. The data collected were then analyzed using SEM-PLS (Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Squares) through SMART PLS 4.0 software. The analysis includes outer and inner models to assess validity, reliability, and relationships between variables. The results of the study indicate that leadership style has a positive and significant influence on employee performance. However, job satisfaction does not significantly mediate the relationship. Conversely, the work environment does not have a significant direct influence on employee performance. Job satisfaction does not mediate its influence. The evaluation of the model resulted that leadership style and work environment explained 38.1% of the variability in job satisfaction, while 31.2% of the variability in employee performance was explained by leadership style, work environment, and job satisfaction.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the rapid economic growth in Indonesia. To develop business in the modern era, companies must be able to compete in the business world. This research aims to understand how skills, work discipline and work environment influence employee productivity. The population of this study are employees of a Korean company located in Bekasi Regency and producing bicycle tires, with a population of 2,700 employees in 2022. However, this research focuses on the group B tire building section which consists of 82 employees in 2022. Research reveals that skills, work environment and work discipline provide a positive influence and significant increase in employee productivity. In other words, improving skills, work discipline and a conducive work environment can increase productivity in the company

Abstract

This study continues the previous practical work, emphasizing the importance of machine maintenance, problem improvement, and production facility maintenance to maintain quality and productivity. The maintenance team aims to find the right system to reduce machine breakdowns and maintenance costs. Automation, such as the Automated Packing Line, was chosen to optimize production with minimal labor. This study analyzes the effectiveness of automation machines in the Packing Line area and evaluates the role of labor in continuous improvements to calculate Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE). Results show that the OEE of the traying machine in the Automated Packing Line is 79%, still below the standard of 85%. After improvements were made, the OEE value increased to 87%

Abstract

XYZ adalah salah satu perusahaan manufaktur yang bergerak pada bidang otomotif di Indonesia, produk yang dihasilkan adalah produk Engine Valve pada kendaraan mobil. Engine Valve adalah salah produk bagian dari mesin yang berfungsi sebagai katup masuk dan buang pada sistem mekanisme atas. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisa bagaiman cara mengurangi produk cacat pada produk Engine Valve di PT. XYZ. Dengan menerapkan metode Plan-Do-Check-Action (PDCA). Pada Tahap Plan, dilakukan perencanaan untuk mengidentifikasi jenis defect yang paling dominan pada produk Engine Valve dan mencari akar penyebabnya. Melalui Diagram Paretto, lima jenis defect dominan diidentifikasi, penelitian fokus memperbaiki jenis defect pemotongan tidak rata yang paling dominan. Diagram Fishbone digunakan untuk mencari faktor-faktor penyebab defect tersebut. Pada tahap Do, setelah mengetahui penyebab defect, ditetapkan sasaran perbaikan dan tujuan tindakan. Identifikasi produk cacat dilakukan dengan bantuan tools 5W+1H. Tahap Check melibatkan pemeriksaan lebih lanjut menggunakan Failure Mode Effect and Analysis (FMEA), yang menghasilkan nilai Risk Priority Number (RPN) tertinggi pada posisi jig berubah, tekanan angin tidak stabil, dan cacat pada material proses forging. Tindakan yang direkomendasikan mencakup usulan pembuatan checksheet khusus untuk pengontrolan jig dan tekanan angin mesin CNC. Pada tahap Action, dilakukan pengendalian kualitas dengan memberikan usulan monitoring dan pengukuran kinerja karyawan. Tingkat kualitas produk dievaluasi melalui pengecekan dengan menggunakan checksheet, dengan peninjauan pada proses pemeriksaan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melakukan analisis terkait kualitas pelayanan di Perusahaan Umum Daerah (Perumda) Tirta Bhagasasi KCP Bojongmangu. Jenis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kualitatif yang diambil dengan mewawancarai 12 orang informan pelanggan dan kepala cabang Perumda Bojongmangu, kemudian dilakukan proses analisis. Berdasarkan lima indikator yang digunakan, dapat disimpulkan bahwa, 1) indikator reliability: petugas Perumda Bojongmangu sudah memiliki kemampuan dan keahlian dalam menggunakan teknologi serta prosedur pelayanan yang mudah; 2) indikator responsiveness, petugas dalam pelayanan masih perlu ditingkatkan lagi khusunya kecepatan penanganan kerusakan pada pipa; 3) indikator assurance, Perumda Bojongmangu memberikan jaminan dengan cara menjaga K3 yaitu kualitas, kuantitas, dan kontinuitas distribusi air bersih; 4) indikator empathy, kondisi demografi daerah Bojongmangu menjadi kendala pendistribusian air yang merata; dan 5) indikator tangibles, para pelanggan berharap pihak Perumda dapat menggunakan pipa dengan kualitas yang lebih baik lagi. Dari kelima indikator pelayanan tersebut dikatakan bahwa semuanya perlu dilakukan peningkatan lagi dan dilakuan proses peninjauan ulang kembali agar kepuasan pelanggan lebih meningkat.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role and benefits of mobile banking in reducing customer queues from an operational management perspective at Bank XYZ. The research employed a qualitative approach using interviews and descriptive techniques. The results indicated that six frontliners agreed mobile banking effectively reduces queue volume. This is supported by the increasing number of users utilizing the application for various transactions such as fund transfers, cash withdrawals, and bill payments. Additional benefits include improved employee efficiency and reduced operational costs. For customers, mobile banking offers convenience by allowing transactions anytime and anywhere without visiting a bank branch.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) teaching model employed by religious education lecturers at Pelita Bangsa University. Integrating STEM in religious education is expected to enhance critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and the practical application of knowledge in both professional and everyday contexts. A qualitative research design was used, with data collected through interviews and surveys distributed via Google Forms. Data analysis involved four stages: data reduction, data presentation, verification, and conclusion drawing. The study sample consisted of 13 religious education lecturers from the Primary School Teacher Education (PGSD) Study Program at Pelita Bangsa University, all of whom taught Islamic religious education courses. The findings indicated a marked improvement in students' critical thinking and problem-solving abilities, particularly in their ability to apply technology during the learning process. Furthermore, all survey responses related to lecturers' preparedness and competence in implementing the STEM model showed consistently high ratings. The results suggest that integrating STEM into religious education enhances students' cognitive abilities and technological skills. The high competence and preparedness of the lecturers further support the effectiveness of this approach. This research highlights the potential of STEM-based learning in religious education and emphasizes the importance of lecturer readiness in its successful implementation. The STEM teaching model proves effective in improving students' thinking and problem-solving abilities in religious education at Pelita Bangsa University. The high levels of lecturer competence and preparedness further strengthen the implementation of this approach.
