Abstract

Vocational High Schools (SMKs) are educational institutions that emphasize equipping students with specific skills that can be directly applied in the workforce, aiming to reduce unemployment rates. However, unemployment in Indonesia remains significantly high among SMK graduates, which is largely attributed to the low work readiness of students. This study aims to examine the influence of practical learning and field work practical experience (PKL) on the work readiness of class XII students in the Building Design, Modeling, and Information Expertise Program (DPIB) at SMK Negeri 6 Malang, both partially and simultaneously. The research employed a quantitative approach using a saturated sampling technique, with all 89 students of class XII DPIB participating as respondents. Data collection was conducted through structured questionnaires and observations. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, prerequisite tests, multiple regression analysis, multiple correlation analysis, and calculations of relative and effective contributions, assisted by IBM SPSS Statistics software. The results indicate that both practical learning and field work experience have a significant and positive effect on students’ work readiness. When analyzed partially, each variable contributes differently: practical learning accounts for an effective contribution of 15.9% while field work experience contributes 48.2%. In terms of relative contribution, practical learning accounts for 24.8% and field work experience 75.2%. Collectively, these findings demonstrate that practical learning and field work experience significantly enhance the readiness of students to enter the workforce. This highlights the importance of integrating hands-on learning experiences and real-world field work into vocational education to better prepare students for professional environments and improve their employability. The study recommends that SMKs continue to strengthen practical learning curricula and provide ample field work opportunities to ensure graduates possess both the technical skills and work readiness necessary for successful employment.

Abstract

Classroom lighting is one of the factors that influences students’ learning comfort. Poor lighting conditions can make students have difficulty concentrating, reading, and writing, as well as causing them to feel tided more quickly. This study aims to determine students’ perceptions of classroom lighting conditions and their effect on learning comfort in the Malang Raya area. This study used a quantitative method with a survey approach. Data were collected trough questionnaires distributed to junior and senior high school students in Malang Raya. The questionnaire used a four-point likert scale covering two variables, namely classroom lighting conditions and students’ learning comfort. The data were analyzed descriptively. The result showed that most students perceived classroom lighting conditions as inadequate. The majority of respondents stated that the classroom was not bright enough, the light distribution was uneven, and the lighting from windows and lamps had not optimally supported learning activities. These conditions caused students to feel uncomfortable while studying, have difficulty concentrating, experience problems in reading, writing, and seeing the board clearly and feel tired more quickly. Therefore, classroom lighting needs to be improved through better window arrangement, the use of appropriate lamps, and more even light distribution in the classroom.

Abstract

The digital transformation of Industry 4.0 necessitates a fundamental restructuring of Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) pedagogy through high-fidelity immersive environments. However, current systems often prioritize isolated interaction over the underlying technology architectures required for long-term effectiveness. This research conducted a systematic review of 100 peer-reviewed articles (2018–2025) using the PRISMA 2020 framework and CASP quality appraisal instrument to map functional system configurations. Results indicate a significant paradigm shift toward integrated computational ecosystems, where adaptive intelligent units (30%) and sustainability-oriented processing layers (20%) function as core architectural components. These layers enable dynamic cognitive regulation and real-time environmental metric integration, such as Life Cycle Analysis (LCA), directly within virtual design workflows. Furthermore, findings demonstrate that scalability barriers in vocational settings are increasingly mitigated through cloud-native architectures and IFC-based interoperability. This study concludes that the future of immersive e-learning depends on “Sustainability-by-Design” and scalable architectures, providing a strategic blueprint for intelligent, institution-wide digital infrastructures in engineering education..

Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) engaged in Etawa goat farming have significant potential to support food security and strengthen local economic development in Lumajang Regency. However, the partner MSME, Goatzilla Farm located in Senduro District, continues to face challenges in processing fresh goat milk, particularly related to limited shelf life and inadequate hygiene standards. This community engagement program aims to enhance MSME competitiveness through the transfer of pasteurization technology that is efficient, easy to operate, and suitable for local production capacity. The program was implemented through technical training, demonstration of pasteurization equipment, and on-site mentoring on hygienic milk processing practices at the partner’s production facility. The results indicate improved technical understanding and operational skills among the MSME actors, accompanied by enhanced product quality, as reflected in an increase in milk shelf life from 1–2 days to 5–7 days under refrigerated storage. Furthermore, the improved product quality strengthened consumer trust and created opportunities for product diversification. Overall, this initiative contributes to strengthening MSME competitiveness through technological innovation and supports sustainable local economic development in Lumajang Regency.

Abstract

Penerapan gaya arsitektur industrialis yang mengekspos material raw seperti dak beton marak diaplikasikan pada hunian modern. Namun, ketiadaan elemen insulasi pada atap di kawasan iklim tropis pesisir berpotensi memicu anomali termal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi dan mengkomparasi akumulasi beban pendinginan (cooling load) pada hunian dua lantai bergaya industrialis di Kabupaten Demak. Metode komputasi kuantitatif yang digunakan merujuk pada standar utilitas mekanikal ASHRAE dengan mengaplikasikan variabel Cooling Load Temperature Difference (CLTD). Analisis komparatif dilakukan antara ruang di lantai satu (terproteksi pelat lantai) dan lantai dua (terpapar atap dak beton secara langsung). Hasil perhitungan membuktikan terjadinya lonjakan beban termal yang sangat ekstrem pada lantai dua, yakni mencapai 9.984 BTU/h, melampaui secara signifikan beban lantai satu yang hanya sebesar 5.546 BTU/h. Diskrepansi absolut dengan lonjakan mencapai 80% ini mengonfirmasi bahwa atap beton ekspos bertindak sebagai konduktor panas masif yang memaksa eskalasi utilitas mekanikal secara drastis, dari kebutuhan awal tata udara berkapasitas 3/4 PK di lantai satu menjadi 1,5 PK di lantai dua. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa estetika arsitektur industrialis di wilayah pesisir wajib diintegrasikan dengan intervensi desain pasif, seperti penggunaan solar reflective coating atau roof garden, agar selaras dengan prinsip efisiensi energi bangunan berkelanjutan.

Abstract

Abstract: The village of Pagersari, located in a highland area, possesses potential natural resources that can be developed, and its strategic location makes it suitable to become a rest area. However, the development of the rest area is still in the planning stage, with the main issue being the lack of knowledge among village officials and the local community regarding construction and cost estimation. Therefore, an "Edu Construction" program is needed to enhance the knowledge and competencies of the village community and officials in construction-related work. The "Edu Construction" program consists of three phases: Preparation (including surveys and needs analysis), Implementation (involving layout design, E-modules, training, and mentoring), and Evaluation and Reporting. The results include the rest area layout design, a web-based E-module, as well as training and mentoring for cost estimation preparation. Subsequent phases involve the publication of the E-module, activity evaluation, and the preparation of activity reports. The aim is to advance the Pagersari Village rest area and enhance the knowledge and skills of the community and village officials in construction-related matters. Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk memberdayakan warga binaan di Lembaga Pemasyarakatan Perempuan (LPP) Kelas IIA Malang melalui penerapan teknologi irigasi evaporatif nirdaya guna meningkatkan keterampilan budidaya hortikultura serta mendukung ketahanan pangan. Kendala utama yang dihadapi mitra adalah keterbatasan pengetahuan dan keterampilan dalam menerapkan teknologi pertanian sederhana yang efisien dan ramah lingkungan. Metode pelaksanaan meliputi tiga tahap, yaitu persiapan, pelaksanaan, serta evaluasi dan pelaporan. Tahap pelaksanaan dilakukan melalui pelatihan teori dan praktik langsung, meliputi perakitan serta penerapan sistem irigasi evaporatif nirdaya pada lahan hortikultura di area Lapas. Lebih dari 80% peserta mampu memahami prinsip kerja dan melakukan perakitan alat secara mandiri, menunjukkan peningkatan yang signifikan dalam kemampuan teknis warga binaan. Teknologi irigasi nirdaya terbukti efektif menjaga kelembapan media tanam tanpa memerlukan energi listrik maupun bahan bakar, sehingga efisien, hemat air, dan ramah lingkungan. Secara keseluruhan, program pengabdian ini berhasil meningkatkan keterampilan, kemandirian, serta kesiapan warga binaan untuk berkontribusi positif di masyarakat pasca kebebasan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis penerapan manajemen talenta bagi aparatur sipil negara (ASN) dalam pengembangan kompetensi di Badan Kepegawaian dan Pengembangan Sumber Daya Manusia (BKPSDM) Kota Malang. Penelitian ini berfokus pada tiga aspek: pemetaan potensi dan kinerja ASN, pelaksanaan program pendidikan dan pelatihan, serta faktor-faktor pendukung dan penghambat dalam praktik manajemen talenta di tingkat daerah. Dengan menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif, penelitian ini melakukan observasi magang, wawancara dengan petugas pengembangan kompetensi, serta analisis dokumen, termasuk Peraturan Walikota Malang Nomor 46 Tahun 2021 dan pedoman manajemen talenta nasional. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa BKPSDM Malang telah memanfaatkan sistem digital (SIMAS, SIPRETI, dan e-Kinerja) untuk mendukung pemetaan kompetensi dan kinerja ASN.  Program pelatihan dilaksanakan berdasarkan kebutuhan terkait pekerjaan, meskipun integrasi dengan perencanaan talenta yang komprehensif masih terbatas. Tantangan utama meliputi integrasi data yang terbatas antar unit, kualitas pelatihan yang bervariasi, dan kapasitas teknis yang kurang memadai di kalangan administrator. Faktor pendukung meliputi komitmen institusional yang kuat, ketersediaan regulasi, dan adopsi alat tata kelola digital. Studi ini menyoroti pentingnya memperkuat manajemen talenta sebagai jalur strategis untuk meningkatkan kompetensi ASD secara berkelanjutan di tingkat pemerintah daerah.) Abstract This study aims to analyze the implementation of talent management for civil servants (ASN) in developing competencies at the Human Resources Development and Personnel Agency (BKPSDM) of Malang City. The research focuses on three aspects: the mapping of ASN potential and performance, the implementation of education and training programs, and the supporting and inhibiting factors in regional-level talent management practices. Using a descriptive qualitative method, the study employs internship observations, interviews with competency development officers, and document analysis, including the Mayor Regulation of Malang City No. 46/2021 and national talent management guidelines. The findings indicate that BKPSDM Malang has utilized digital systems (SIMAS, SIPRETI, and e-Kinerja) to support the mapping of ASN competencies and performance. Training programs are implemented based on job-related needs, although integration with comprehensive talent planning remains limited. Key challenges include limited data integration across units, varying training quality, and insufficient technical capacity among administrators. Supporting factors include strong institutional commitment, regulatory availability, and the adoption of digital governance tools. This study highlights the importance of strengthening talent management as a strategic pathway to enhance ASD competencies sustainably at the regional government level.)

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat internasional merupakan wujud nyata implementasi Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi yang berorientasi pada pembangunan berkelanjutan. Program ini bertujuan mengintegrasikan nilai-nilai Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) ke dalam praktik pembelajaran melalui pendekatan Edu-Construction berbasis service-learning. Pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif digunakan untuk menggambarkan proses, interaksi, dan hasil kegiatan yang meliputi tiga aktivitas utama: (1) pembersihan kawasan pesisir, (2) edukasi keselamatan laut bagi masyarakat dan pelajar sekitar, serta (3) pemasangan plakat informasi bahaya sengatan ubur-ubur sebagai media pembelajaran publik. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan kesadaran peserta terhadap pentingnya kebersihan pesisir dan keselamatan laut, serta terbentuknya sikap tanggung jawab sosial dan ekologis. Kolaborasi lintas negara ini turut memperkuat hubungan kelembagaan antara UM dan USM dalam bidang pendidikan dan pengabdian berbasis keberlanjutan. Implementasi Edu-Construction terbukti efektif sebagai model pembelajaran transformatif yang menggabungkan kompetensi teknis, sosial, dan lingkungan dalam konteks global, sekaligus mendukung pencapaian SDG 4 (Pendidikan Berkualitas), SDG 11 (Kota dan Komunitas Berkelanjutan), dan SDG 14 (Ekosistem Lautan).
