Abstract

This study aims to determine whether the food creations activity can overcome the picky eater behavior of children aged 5-6 years. This research is a type of quantitative research using the Pre-Experimental Design method with the One Group Pretest-Posttest Design approach. The subjects in this study are children aged 5-6 years or TK B in TK Negeri Pembina, Pemalang Regency, totaling 30 children. The data collection technique used is an instrument in the form of a questionnaire using a Likert scale. Data analysis techniques are descriptive statistics and Paired Sample T-Test. All calculations are processed using IBM SPSS 20. Based on the results of the Paired Sample T-test calculation, the value of tcount > ttable (13.482 > 2.045) with a significance value of 0.000. Therefore, Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. In other words, that there are differences in the average pretest and posttest results, which means that there is an influence on the activity of forming food creation in overcoming picky eater behavior of children aged 5-6 years. A significant difference can be seen from the value of sig (2 tailed) < 0.05 which is 0,000. This means that the application of activities to form food creations in this study can overcome the picky eater behavior of children aged 5-6 years. An increase in the mean value of picky eater behavior improvement in children aged 5-6 years before and after being given treatment to form food creation that is from 143.67 during pretest to 168.37 at posttest, resulting in an increase in scores of 24.70. Conclusions based on these data, there is a significant increase in the picky eater behavior of children aged 5-6 years at TK Negeri Pembina, Pemalang Regency after being treated with demonstration methods for forming food creations, and there are several other methods for overcoming picky eater behavior, including conversing questions and answers, storytelling, and role-playing.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan strategi dan metode, serta pelaksanaan PHBS sebagai upaya pencegahan Covid-19 di TK Adzkia Banjarnegara. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan teknik wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi kemudian dianalisis menggunakan model Miles dan Huberman (Sugiyono, 2016). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa strategi yang digunakan dalam pelaksanaan PHBS sebagai upaya pencegahan Covid-19 di TK Adzkia Banjarnegara adalah 18 Sikap Adzkia yang berisi pembiasan 18 nilai adab. Terdapat lima dari 18 Sikap Adzkia dalam pelaksanaan program PHBS, yaitu sikap bersih, bertanggung jawab, disiplin, rajin, dan qana’ah. Lalu metode yang digunakan untuk mengimplementasikan strategi meliputi, metode bercerita, tanya jawab, dan life skill. Pelaksanaan PHBS sebagai upaya pencegahan Covid-19 di TK Adzkia Banjarnegara meliputi, makan buah dan sayur setiap hari serta mengkonsumsi keanekaragaman makanan dalam jumlah yang cukup (gizi seimbang), mencuci tangan dengan sabun dan air mengalir/menggunakan hand sanitizer, melakukan aktivitas fisik, menggosok gigi, membuang sampah di tempat sampah, hindari menyentuh mata; hidung; dan mulut, menerapkan etika batuk dan bersin, memakai masker, serta menjaga jarak atau menghindari keramaian. Sembilan upaya pencegahan tersebut dapat terlaksana dengan adanya kerjasama dan komunikasi yang dibangun oleh guru dan wali murid. Sehingga terdapat kesamaan informasi yang diterima anak dari guru dan wali murid.

Abstract

UKS (Usaha Kesehatan Sekolah) is very important as a learning media to improve healthy life ability and to build healthy life behavior of students at the school. UKS program management has not been maximal, including planning, organizing, operating, and evaluating. The aim of this study is to explain the functions of planning, organizing, operating, and supervising in UKS at preschools in Semarang City. This study used observational research method with a qualitative approach. The data collecting used the deep interview to four UKS trainer teachers at preschools, with the criteria: the school having good and fair UKS programs as the main informants, and three employees of UKS Puskesmas (Pusat Kesehatan Masyarakat), and one employee of UKS Education Service as the triangulation informants. The result of the study shows that the UKS program management had not run well because many schools did not make the planning of activity type, activity schedule, fee, tool needs, and medicine. However, all of the schools made the planning of the number of the employee. The function of organizing had not run well although they had done the activity of resource decision, authority delegation, and coordinating. However, not all of them had done the job description of working group. The function of UKS program implementation was not also good enough. Although all schools had employees and students preparation as well as the service, many schools had not given the service maximally. The service was only given when there was a program from Puskesmas. The function of supervision was not good because many schools had not received supervision, there was no any evaluation and did not report the UKS program. It is suggested that the head and the UKS Trainer Board supervise intensively to the UKS program implementation so that it can motivate the schools to do UKS program in a good and proper way. Abstract

Food plays an important role in providing energy and nutrient supplies for children. The consumption of school's snacks is important due to children's high activities. The problem in this study is whether there is a difference in parental understanding of synthetic additives through parenting of healthy lunch-box and whether there is an increase in parents' understanding of synthetic additives through healthy lunch-box parenting. This study aims to determine differences in parental understanding of synthetic additives through healthy lunch-box parenting. This study also purposes to find out the improvement of parents' understanding of synthetic additives through healthy parenting supplies. The research is quantitative with the experimental method with one group pretest-posttest design. The method of data collection is questionnaires and observations. The type of the data is ordinal. The sampling technique is a simple random sampling. This research is conducted at PGRI 42 Jomblang Kindergarten with 30 research subjects who are parents or students' guardians. The results in this study show the hypothesis test using SPSS statistics 23 calculation. Then the t-test test data is obtained through a different paired sample t-test on the program with a value of t -1.356 with a 2-tailed significance value of 0.000. It can be assumed that H(a) is accepted because of the significance value <0.05. This means that there is a difference in parents' understanding in the PGRI 42 Jomblang Kindergarten in Semarang City regarding synthetic additives through lunch-box parenting. From the results of the improvement test, H(b) is accepted, the level of understanding of parents has increased by 5.11%, this can be seen from the results of calculations with percentage techniques.

Abstract

This study has a purpose to determine the satisfaction level of early childhood educational institutions on the performance of the teachers as alumni from early childhood educational program, to find out which competencies are considered to be the main aspirations by early childhood educational institutions in Central Java Province. This research has a target to get a complete overview about the satisfaction level of the institutions to the alumni as a chance to improve the quality of graduates from Early Childhood Educational Study Program of Faculty of Education in Semarang State University.The initial phase of the study, a survey was conducted at a number of Early Childhood Educational institutions spread across 35 cities and/or regencies in Central Java, to identify and find out whether there are graduates from Early Childhood Educational Study Program of Faculty of Education in Semarang State University who works as teacher at these institutions. In the second stage, the researchers did a mapping to determine which institutions will be used as research samples. The third phase of research was conducted to acquire understanding of the satisfaction level from the samples. The target which was aimed in this research is to develop curriculum in order to improve the quality of graduates. From the analysis result of the study, it showed that Early Childhood Educational institutions were satisfied with the performance of the graduates of Early Childhood Educational Study Program of Faculty of Education in Semarang State University which reached (58.41%). Early Childhood Educational institutions in Central Java would expect that the personality competence to be the first priority to be developed in the Early Childhood Educational Study Program in Semarang State University (36.84%), while the second priority is pedagogical competence (39.48%), professional competence (2.63%) becomes third priority and social competence (21.05%) become the last priority which need to be developed.

Abstract

This research aims to know the service conductions, the mechanisms and forms of reporting, as well as to know the school health unit (UKS) program integrated to early childhood education (PAUD) institutions in the city of Semarang, in order for the service model development can run well. The objective of this research is to find out a service model of the school health unit integrated to the early childhood education institutions. This research belongs to development research. The samples were taken by using stratified random sampling technique, and data were analyzed in a descriptive analysis. This model was developed by modifying steps in learning activities at school. The research was able to describe (1) mechanisms of school health unit service program at early childhood education institutions, that includes triple UKS (health education, health services, fostering a healthy school environment), where most of its activities have not been conducted by related institutions, including the planning of activities; (2) mechanisms and the reporting form of UKS service program made by conducting team in the written form and reported to the headmaster, education service unit and community health center (Puskesmas); (3) UKS service program model integrated to early childhood education, in which conducting team identified and planned the activities of service programs on the institutions including triple UKS and determined in each daily lesson plans must be there the activities of UKS service programs in the beginning, in the middle, and also in the end of the activities.

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif, bertujuan mendeskripsi kemampuan mahasiswa semester IV dalam pengajuan masalah dari aspek sintaksis dan semantik. Terdapat dua subjek yang diteliti, yaitu masing-masing mahasiswa bergaya kognitif field dependent dan field independent. Subjek penelitian ditentukan menggunakan skor instrument GEFT dengan mempertimbangkan kesamaan jenis kelamin, kemampuan matematika, kecakapan dalam berkomunikasi, kesediaan menjadi subjek penelitian. Aspek yang dianalisis pada masalah yang diajukan dari aspek gaya bahasa yaitu sintaksis dan semantik. Analisis sintaksis dilihat dari bentuk masalah yang diajukan berupa penugasan, hubungan dan pengandaian. Sementara aspek semantik dianalisis berdasarkan termuatnya unsur menyatakan kembali, mengubah, membandingkan, mengelompokkan dan menvariasikan. Masing-masing subjek penelitian diberikan informasi berbentuk kalimat verbal dan grafik, yang selanjutnya sebagai acuan dalam pengajuan masalah. Dari analisis data, diperoleh subjek field independent lebih baik dalam mengajukan masalah dibandingkan subjek field dependendent. Subjek field independent mampu mengajukan masalah yang memuat semua unsur sintaksis dan semantik, sementara subjek field dependent tidak mampu mengajukan masalah yang memuat unsur sintaksis dan semantik.This research is a descriptive study with a qualitative approach, aiming to describe the ability of fourth semester students in problem solving from syntactic and semantic aspects. There are two subjects studied, namely each student with field-dependent and field-independent cognitive styles. Research subjects were determined using GEFT instrument scores taking into account gender equality, mathematical ability, communication skills, and willingness to become research subjects. The aspects analyzed in the problem posed are from the aspect of language style, namely syntax and semantics. Syntactic analysis is seen from the form of the problem posed in the form of assignments, relationships and suppositions. While the semantic aspect is analyzed based on the elements of restating, changing, comparing, classifying and varying. Each research subject was given information in the form of verbal sentences and graphics, which then served as a reference in problem posing. From the data analysis, it was obtained that field-independent subjects were better at posing problems than field-dependent subjects. Field-independent subjects are able to pose problems that contain all syntactic and semantic elements, while field-dependent subjects are unable to pose problems that contain syntactic and semantic elements.

Abstract

ABSTRAKKepala sekolah sebagai pemimpin tertinggi yang sangat berpengaruh dan menentukan kemajuan sekolah dalam mengupayakan peningkatan prestasi belajar siswa melalui starategi kepemimpinan Kepala Sekolah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan strategi kepala dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa di PKBM Anugrah Desa Bungku Kabupaten Batanghari. Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptif Kualitatif dengan subjek penelitian yaitu Kepala PKBM, Guru, dan Siswa yang belajara di PKBM Anugrah Desa Bungku Kabupaten Batanghari. yang ditentukan dengan mengunakan teknik purposive sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan mengunakan tiga cara yaitu observasi, wawancara, dan studi dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan yaitu dengan alur, yang meliputi reduksi data, penyajian data, dan tahap verifikasi. Pengujian kredibilitas data dilakukan dengan pendekatan triangulasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Strategi Kepala PKBM dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa di PKBM Anugrah Desa Bungku Kabupaten Batanghari yaitu melakukan bimbingan dan konseling sebagai bentuk nasehat dan motivasi oleh Kepala PKBM mengenai cara belajar yang efektif, mengumpulkan data nilai siswa sebagai bentuk perhatian dan kontrol Kepala PKBM kepada siswa dan guru, melakukan diagnosis terhadap data siswa sebagai bentuk Upaya menggali informasi, dan melakukan prognosis melalui program terencana sesuai kebutuhan siswa yaitu bimbingan belajar tambahan, melibatkan siswa dalam kegiatan ekstrakurikuler, membentuk kelompok belajar siswa, dan program pendampingan keluaga bermasalah.

Abstract

This study explores the implementation of the Handwashing Dance as an innovative tool to promote early childhood health literacy at TK Siti Sulaechah 01 Semarang. Employing a qualitative research design, the research aimed to provide a comprehensive understanding of the effects of this method on children's knowledge and practices regarding hand hygiene. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and document analysis involving the principal, teachers, and parents of Group B2. The findings indicated that the Handwashing Dance significantly improved children’s cognitive, affective, and psychomotor skills related to handwashing. Specifically, children demonstrated better recall of handwashing steps, increased enthusiasm and participation in hygiene activities, and improved coordination in handwashing movements. Teachers and parents noted that children were more likely to wash their hands regularly and correctly at school and home. Integrating dance, song, and handwashing movements engaged the children, making the learning process enjoyable and memorable. These results suggest that the Handwashing Dance has considerable potential for broader application in early childhood health education, promoting lifelong healthy habits. However, the study’s limitations, including its small sample size and single-site focus, highlight the need for further research with larger, diverse populations to validate these findings. This study underscores the importance of incorporating interactive and play-based approaches in health education to foster positive health behaviors from an early age. Further research could explore the scalability of this approach and its effectiveness in diverse educational settings.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the implementation of school-based management at SMK Negeri 2 Jambi City. This type of research is qualitative research with a case study approach. This research uses interviews and documents to collect data. There were seven participants in this research, including the principal, school committee, deputy principal for curriculum, deputy principal for student affairs, school treasurer, two teachers, and students. The results of this research are that the appointment of School Based Management at SMK Negeri 2 Jambi City has been carried out well. First, starting from planning, namely student affairs arrangements from student registration to various activities that can be carried out in the student affairs department. Furthermore, curriculum management and school teaching programs are given the freedom to develop the curriculum. Furthermore, financial management and financing can be seen from the orderly determination of the school budget, the existence of financial transparency. Second, the implementation of SBM for educational staff at SMK Negeri 2 Jambi City is good because they have expertise in their respective fields. Facilities and infrastructure management can be seen from the school's efforts to provide facilities and infrastructure, maintenance and development so that it can help the teaching and learning process run smoothly. Third, the financial planning evaluation is conveyed to the school community and the school committee by holding a parent meeting.
