Abstract

This research explores the implementation of Arabic language learning at the Maitreechit Withayattan School in Bangkok, Thailand. With a population dominated by a Muslim minority, this research aims to understand the challenges and potential for developing Arabic language education in this context. The research background reflects Thailand's uniqueness as an ASEAN country with a Muslim minority that is recognized and regulated by national law. The focus of the research is on issues of student interest, teaching methods, hidden learning goals, and the role of teachers in the learning process. The research method uses modern ethnographic studies at Maitrechit Wittaayathan School Bangkok. Research findings show that students' low interest is influenced by less innovative teaching methods and a need for more variety in learning. Hidden learning goals, which include students' political aspirations to support the position of Muslims in government, become a complex dynamic in Arabic language learning. The importance of Arabic in the government context was a significant finding, with students being taught that Arabic language skills can provide a competitive advantage in careers in the government sector. Despite challenges regarding student interest, school administrators' high enthusiasm for Arabic creates the potential for solid collaboration between education and religious identity development. Implications for Arabic language education management include the need for more exciting learning strategies, teacher training, and collaboration with external parties to increase the relevance of learning to careers. This research provides in-depth insight into the complex dynamics of Arabic language education in Muslim minority school environments in Thailand. However, it should be acknowledged that the research findings are limited to one school in Bangkok, and generalization of the findings must be done cautiously.

Abstract

Beberapa tahun terakhir sedang marak kasus pencurian tanaman hias, karena beberapa jenis tanaman hias memiliki harga yang mahal dipasaran dari belasan juta hingga ratusan juta. pemilik tanaman belakangan ini juga dibingungkan karena banyaknya tanaman hias yang dikoleksinya, mengakibatkan banyak ruangan rumah yang terpakai dan pentaan tanaman terkesan tidak cantik ataupun rapi, serta sulit untuk melakukan perawatan tanaman. Maka dari itu tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk membuat sebuah alat berupa rak bunga yang dapat memudahkan pemilik dalam melakukan perawatan tanaman, penataan tanaman dan juga dapat mengurangi aksi pencurian tanaman hias. Komponen yang digunakan pada alat ini seperti, NodeMCU ESP8266, sensor DHT-11, sensor pH tanah, sensor soil moisture, relay, multiplexer dan pompa air. Alat ini juga dilengkapi sistem keamanan yang menggunakan sensor MC38 dan buzzer, serta dilengkapi sistem monitoring dan controlling melalui whatsapp dan website.Dari hasil penelitian didapatkan bahwa tingkat akurasi dari sensor-sensor memiliki rata-rata error sebesar 0,91% dan 1,92% untuk suhu dan kelembaban, sedangkan untuk sensor soil moisture dan sensor pH Tanah memiliki nilai rata-rata error sebesar 4,50% dan 5,13%.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keefektivitas dan kendala dalam dalam pemanfaatan akun belajar.id dalam pelaksanaan pembelajaran di sekolah pada masa pendemi covid 19 serta untuk mengetahui solusi dalam pengoptimalan penggunaan akun belajar.id di sekolah. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian kualitatif dengan jenis studi kasus  yang rancangan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif termasuk sebuah pendekatan induktif untuk penyusunan pengetahuan yang menggunakan riset dan menekan subjektifitas juga arti pengalaman bagi individu. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini yaitu pengawas Pembina 1 orang, kepala sekolah 2 orang, guru kelas 5 berjumlah 2 orang guru kelas tiap sekolah diwakili satu guru, dan peserta didik kelas 5 yang berjumlah 20 orang masing-masing sekolah diwakili sebanyak 10 orang murid dipilih secara acak. Berdasarkan hasil wawancara menunjukkan bahwa guru yang mengajar di kelas 5  telah merancang pembelajaran tatap muka terbatasnya dengan memanfaatkan akun merdeka belajar. Karena platform yang difasilitasi oleh pemerintah ini memiliki banyak manfaat bagi guru dan siswa pada masa pandemi. Platfrom ini langsung terkoneksi pada dapodik sehingga semua guru dan murid secara otomatis langsung memiliki id platform ini asalkan sudah terinput data dari sekolah. Akan tetapi yang menjadi faktor penghambatnya yaitu keterbatasan siswa memahami IT dan masih ada siswa dan guru yang belum bisa mengaktivasi akun belajar.id. Hal ini memudahkan pelaksanaan kegiatan belajar mengajar dengan akses ke berbagai platform Kementerian Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan, memungkinkan penyimpanan dokumen secara online, dengan penyimpanan tak terbatas dan lebih aman dapat mengakses Chromebook dan menggunakannya sebagai jalur Informasi resmi dari Kementerian Pendidikan, Kebudayaan, Olahraga, Sains dan Teknologi. Abstract

Kepuasan pelanggan merupakan alat ukur yang bertujuan untuk memberikan hasil yang sesuai atau bahkan lebih sehingga dapat melampaui harapan pelanggan. Jika ada ketidakpuasan, itu berarti jauh dari harapan. PT. Kilau Sinar Purnama (KSP) berusaha menjaga kualitas layanan untuk para pelanggan agar tetap berlangganan. Layanan merupakan salah satu kegiatan atau strategi yang harus dilakukan perusahaan untuk memperoleh posisi bersaing dengan perusahaan lain. Penentuan harga yang tepat juga merupakan syarat penting yang akan mendatangkan keuntungan bagi bisnis. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meneliti tentang kualitas layanan dan harga terhadap kepuasan pelanggan pada PT. kilau sinar purnama (ksp). Ini adalah penelitian asosiatif dan instrumen penelitian menggunakan angket dengan skala likert dengan populasi unknown population, yaitu pengguna layanan jasa ekspedisi KSP dengan jumlah sampel 50 orang. Teknik pengumpulan datanya dengan membagikan kuesioner kepada pelanggan yang melakukan pengiriman atau penerimaan barang. Teknik analisis data menggunakan regresi linier berganda . Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Kualitas layanan berpengaruh terhadap kepuasan pelanggan sedangkan harga tidak berpengaruh terhadap kepuasan pelanggan pada PT KSP.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the positive and significant influence of emotional intelligence and digital literacy on the performance of Generation Z employees in Bima City. This research is a quantitative study. This type of research is associative with the population used in this study, namely all Generation Z employees in Bima City. The sample used in this study was Generation Z employees in Bima City totaling 100 employees. The sampling technique in this study used purposive sampling based on criteria, the research instrument used was a questionnaire with a Likert scale. The analysis tool used in this study used multiple linear regression analysis using SPSS version 21. The results of this study are: 1) Emotional Intelligence does not have a positive and significant effect on the Performance of Generation Z Employees in Bima City. 2) Digital Literacy has a positive and significant effect on the Performance of Generation Z Employees in Bima City. 3) Emotional Intelligence and Digital Literacy have a positive and significant effect on the Performance of Generation Z Employees in Bima City.

Abstract

Madurese local wisdom holds significant potential for fostering critical thinking skills and reducing plagiarism in scientific writing. This study explores the integration of Madurese cultural values into the learning process as a means to enrich academic practices. The research employs a qualitative approach, drawing data from interviews, observations, and literature analysis. The research focuses on Madurese cultural elements and their application within higher education settings. Results indicate that Madurese local wisdom serves as an effective tool for: (1) inspiring students to generate original and creative research ideas, (2) enhancing their capacity for critical and systematic analysis, and (3) cultivating academic integrity and reducing tendencies toward plagiarism. Additionally, incorporating local wisdom into education helps preserve cultural identity and builds student character. The study suggests the development of local wisdom-based curricula and stronger collaboration between academic institutions, cultural organizations, and the community to ensure sustainable integration of local cultural values in education.

Abstract

This pioneering research endeavors to delve into the competencies of special education teachers in Indonesia concerning the development of literacy and numeracy assessments rooted in local wisdom, while simultaneously exploring the fundamental concepts of evaluation and teacher responsibilities. Employing a mixed-method explanatory design, the study represents a novel approach to understanding the intricate interplay between pedagogical practices and cultural contexts. Drawing upon a diverse research population comprising special education teachers across Indonesia, the quantitative component of the study employs a rigorous proportional random sampling method, culminating in a robust sample size of 457 participants. Meanwhile, the qualitative inquiry adopts purposive and snowball sampling techniques to ensure a comprehensive exploration of teachers' perspectives and experiences. Research data, spanning questionnaires, interviews, observations, and document analyses, are meticulously collected and analyzed using innovative methodological frameworks such as Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) and variance-based Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) for quantitative data, and data reduction, display, and conclusion for qualitative data. Findings underscore the nuanced variations in teachers' competencies across different regions, with Bali emphasizing the basic concept of evaluation, NTB Province prioritizing teacher responsibility, and NTT Province echoing similar sentiments. This research not only sheds light on the unique challenges and opportunities encountered by special education teachers but also offers invaluable insights into the integration of local wisdom in assessment development, paving the way for more culturally responsive and effective educational practices in Indonesia and beyond.

Abstract

Employing a pretest-posttest quasi-experimental design, this study ventures into uncharted territory by investigating the impact of Concept Cartoons as a pedagogical tool in teaching Evolution on the academic performance of 40 Grade 11 STEM students enrolled in General Biology 2, conducted synchronously. Furthermore, the research pioneers an exploration into students' misconceptions surrounding foundational concepts in Evolution, leveraging Concept Cartoons as a formative assessment tool deployed within an online learning platform. The cohort was divided into control (n = 21) and experimental (n = 19) groups, with the former receiving instruction through traditional lecture methods and the latter through Concept Cartoons administered digitally. Surprisingly, while students exhibited a spectrum of misconceptions related to Evolution, both experimental and control groups demonstrated statistically significant improvements in academic achievement from pre-test to post-test. Intriguingly, however, comparison of post-test scores between the experimental and control groups via independent t-test yielded no significant difference in achievement. This incongruity prompted a nuanced discussion on potential contributing factors, including the efficacy of Concept Cartoons in digital media and unforeseen technical challenges encountered during synchronous instruction. These findings offer valuable insights for science educators navigating the transition from face-to-face to online instruction amid the ongoing pandemic, underscoring the importance of critically evaluating the adaptability and effectiveness of instructional materials within diverse learning modalities.

Abstract

Tujuan pengabdian ini adalah memberikan pendampingan gerakan literasi sekolah dalam mendukung implementasi kurikulum merdeka di SMP As-Suhuf. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan di SMP As-Suhuf dengan fokus pengabdian pada gerakan literasi sekolah. metode pelaksanaan kegiatan yang digunakan dalam pengabdian kepada masyarakat adalah refleksi awal, Perencanaan, implementasi dan evaluasi. Pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian dengan lingkungan fisik yang ramah literasi, lingkungan sosial dan afektif, mengupayakan sekolah sebagai lingkungan akademis yang literat dengan menggunakan program literasi seperti gerakan membaca, berkunjung ke perpustakaan dan kegiatan lainnya. Diperlukan adanya pelibatan siswa dalam pendampingan yang dilakukan, adanya kerjasama dengan stakeholder dan semua pihak dalam pelaksanaan gerakan literasi sekolah.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between mother's knowledge of dental caries and mother's behavior in preventing dental caries in children (research at PAUD Institute in Sojomerto Village). This research method is quantitative with the research approach used is cross sectional. Data collection techniques using a questionnaire or a questionnaire using a simple random sampling technique. The respondents involved were 61 mothers who have children who attend PAUD institutions in Sojomerto village. This study uses a data analysis technique in the form of Spearman's Rank to determine the relationship between the two variables. The results showed that the average value of the independent variables was 22.36 which was included in the category of moderate knowledge. While the average value of the dependent variable has a score of 108 which is in the good enough category for maternal behavior in preventing dental caries in children. Based on the data analysis test, there was a significant relationship between mother's knowledge about dental caries and mother's behavior in preventing dental caries in children (research at PAUD Institute in Sojomerto Village). The results of the Spearman Rank test show that the P value is 0.000. This means that P Value <0.005 (0.000 <0.005) which means Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected. Where Ha reads "There is a relationship between mother's knowledge about dental caries and mother's behavior in preventing dental caries in children (research at PAUD Sojomerto Village)". With a correlation coefficient value of 0.565 which means it has a moderate relationship, and also has a positive relationship direction where rcount > rtable. Suggestions, the need for mother's awareness about various information related to children's dental health, especially the problem of dental caries so that the information can be implemented directly to children. There needs to be better cooperation between parents, teachers, and health workers with regard to children.
