Abstract

This study aims to analyze the design and implementation of an integrated Arabic language curriculum that combines salaf and khalaf pesantren approaches in the Arabic Language Program at Madrasah I’dadiyah Salafiyah Syafi’iyah Sukorejo Situbondo. The integration responds to contemporary challenges in Arabic education that require competence in classical text comprehension alongside communicative language use. Employing a descriptive qualitative approach, data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and document analysis involving curriculum documents, teachers, students, and institutional management. The findings indicate that the curriculum integrates grammatical-textual instruction with communicative-oriented practices, as reflected in its structure and pedagogical implementation. Instructional methods include sorogan, bandongan, hiwar, muhadathah, and qirā’ah, which facilitate students’ engagement with both classical texts and active language use. At an indicative level, the integrated curriculum appears to support the development of diverse Arabic language competencies within the pesantren context. This study contributes conceptually and practically to discussions on contextual and sustainable Arabic language curriculum development in Islamic boarding schools.

Abstract

Ayyamul Qawaid is one of the programs established by the management of the Central Arabic Language Dormitory. Ayyamul qawaid is the implementation of a program or rules that have been established with an agreement that has been planned to achieve the desired goal, namely what is meant here is that for three days (Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday) Arabic language boarding school students are required to speak using good qawaid and correctly by giving harakat for each end of the lafadz uttered when speaking, thus these three days are called ayyamul qawaid for female students at the Arabic Language Center girls' boarding school. This program aims to increase female students' understanding of qawaid lughawiyah, especially female students in the mutaqoddim class. Qawaid lughawiyah is an important element to master in language learning so that the language can be understood well and correctly by listeners and readers. In this research, the problem formulation is about: How is Ayyamul Qawaid implemented and how to increase the understanding of Qawaid? This approach and type of research uses descriptive qualitative methods, data collection uses observation, interviews and documentation techniques. The results of the research are: 1) The implementation of Ayyamul Qawaid in the Central Girls' Arabic Language Dormitory is enforced through strict control by the linguistics section of the boarding house administrators, where every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday female students must speak with good and correct qaidah and are required to give the final meaning of each pronunciation. which is spoken. In its implementation, there is strict supervision of female students who violate the rules by not using correct and appropriate qawaid 2) Increased understanding of qawaid of Arabic language boarding female students, especially mutaqoddim classes, can be seen through tests carried out by qawaid teachers and language section administrators, female students have become accustomed to using the correct qawaid right when Ayyamul Qawaid takes place. The increase in students' understanding of qawaid can be seen from their daily speech, which is increasing in terms of the lugawi qaidah used when speaking.

Abstract

Katalis CaO dari abu cangkang kelomang (Paguroidea) telah berhasil dibuat melalui proses kalsinasi pada suhu 900°C selama 4 jam. Variasi waktu kalsinasi 2, 3, dan 4 jam dilakukan untuk mempelajari tentang perubahan fasa sampel. Hasil difraksi sinar-X dari abu cangkang kelomang untuk 2 dan 3 jam menunjukkan bahwa puncak-puncak karakteristik CaCO3 kalsit sedangkan untuk 4 jam berupa kalsium oksida (CaO) dengan puncak karaktersitik pada 2 theta = 32,16°; 37,15°; 53,54°; 64,16° dan 67,5° yang dikonfirmasi sesuai dengan standard CaO (JCPDS N. 82-1690). Hasil SEM menunjukkan informasi topografi dari morfologi partikel katalis untuk waktu 2 dan 3 jam berbentuk agregat yang kurang homogen, jika dibandingkan dengan hasil kalsinasi pada waktu yang lebih lama yaitu 4 jam. Sebaran ukuran parikel untuk 2, 3 dan 4 jam masing-masing memberikan ukuran 0,3 mm-1,5 µm, 34,7 µm – 1,25 µm, dan 11,4 µm – 1 µm. Hasil TGA/DSC menunjukan 43,92 % cangkang kelomang mampu terkonversi menjadi CaO dan CaCO3 pada 900°C. Kata kunci: Katalis CaO, katalis heterogen, biodisel

Abstract

This study examines the conceptual integration of the “curriculum of love” into Arabic language learning through the lens of Ki Hajar Dewantara’s educational philosophy. In the Indonesian context, Arabic serves not only as a linguistic medium but also as a means of internalizing Islamic values and character education. Nevertheless, Arabic instruction has largely emphasized cognitive and technical aspects, often overlooking learners’ emotional and spiritual development. Employing a literature review method, this study analyzes national and international scholarly works published between 2010 and 2025 concerning affective pedagogy, character-based Arabic education, and Dewantara’s educational principles—ing ngarso sung tulodo, ing madyo mangun karso, and tut wuri handayani. The findings propose a conceptual model of Arabic learning that integrates linguistic competence with affective-spiritual growth, positioning teachers as empathetic facilitators. This model promotes reflective, contextual, and student-centered learning, offering a culturally grounded and humanistic contribution to Arabic language pedagogy.

Abstract

Hypertension, a condition characterized by persistent elevated blood pressure, often places individuals at risk of developing complications that can adversely impact their quality of life. One notable complication associated with hypertension is cognitive dysfunction. A study published in the Journal of Alzheimer's Disease (2020) demonstrated that individuals with long-standing hypertension exhibited an elevated risk of developing cognitive impairment and Alzheimer's disease. Preliminary research suggests that approximately 12.5 percent of hypertensive deaths may be attributable to underlying factors. Aims: This study aims to examine the cognitive deficits in patients with hypertension and summarise research on the relationship between hypertension and cognitive impairment. This analytical research study with a cross-sectional design, total sample of 84 individuals who suffer from hypertension, the ages of 60 and 79 years old. The sample selected using purposive sampling, instruments used in this study were medical record and Mini Mental State Examination (MMSE) questionnaire. The data was analyzed univariate and bivariate with the Chi Square statistical test. The MMSE cognitive function test revealed that out of 84 individuals with hypertension, 67.85% had normal cognitive function, while 32.14%) moderate cognitive impairment. The sample for the research consisted of 40 male individuals (47.61%) and 44 female individuals (52.38%). Hypertension can affect a person's cognitive function which has an impact on quality of life.

Abstract

Cultural literacy plays a critical role in developing students’ sense of responsibility, tolerance, and national identity. In the context of 21st-century education, it is a key component of the Pancasila Student Profile, which guides character formation in Indonesian schools. While cultural literacy is often linked with language and social studies, this research explores its integration into science learning in elementary schools. The aim is to identify how cultural values, local wisdom, and scientific inquiry are harmonized to support holistic student development through the Independent Curriculum. This qualitative study employed a phenomenological design, focusing on two Sekolah Penggerak (Driving Schools): Elementary School Muhammadiyah 1 Ketelan and Elementary School Muhammadiyah Plus Malangjiwan. Participants included school principals, teachers, and students. Data collection was conducted through observations and in-depth interviews, using structured interview sheets. Data were analyzed through data reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing, with validity ensured through source triangulation. The results revealed that cultural literacy was embedded in science learning through the contextualization of scientific concepts with local wisdom such as using traditional tools in experiments, exploring environmental stewardship rooted in local customs, and incorporating indigenous knowledge into ecology topics. Activities like science-based cultural exhibitions, traditional games with scientific principles, and the use of regional languages in science discussions strengthened student engagement and cultural identity. This study offers a novel integration of cultural literacy into science education, demonstrating how localized, culturally responsive teaching can enrich scientific understanding while reinforcing national character in line with the Pancasila Student Profile.

Abstract

Research on poor-quality journals seems to be an inexhaustible study. The present study aims to understand the experiences of 3 Indonesian academics who published their scientific articles in disreputable journals. This phenomenology study was conducted within the framework of a qualitative approach. Data were collected by in-depth interviews academics. The study identified three key themes: Lack of Necessary Skills, Overestimation of Western Hegemony, and Acceptance of Fate. The findings indicated that some factors caused the academics to take shortcuts to get their articles published. The pressure to acquire the promotion to become a professor was the main factor influencing Indonesian academics to publish in these fast-turnaround journals. The findings highlight the need for academic institutions and policymakers to critically address the systemic pressures that drive scholars toward low-quality publishing outlets. Strengthening mentorship, providing training in academic writing, and reforming promotion policies to reward quality over quantity are essential to safeguard academic integrity. Furthermore, the study underscores the global implications of these issues, urging international academic bodies to collaborate in setting higher standards for research dissemination and evaluation practices.

Abstract

Pengembangan kurikulum berupa proses yang dimulai dari perencanaan, pengorganisasian, implementasi dan evaluasi. Kegiatan pengabdian ini sangat penting bagi guru PAUD yang sudah tersertifikasi, agar guru mampu meningkatan kompetensi dalam pengembangan kurikulum yang selama ini masih belum optimal. Sertifikasi melalui PPG, juga tidak terlepas dari permasalahan terkait dengan capaian kompetensi yang telah dimilikinya, diantaranya: kompetensi guru masih perlu ditingkatkan dalam pengembangan kurikulum yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan dalam menghadapi tantangan dan kurang siapnya guru dalam menghadapi perubahan kurikulum termasuk perubahan kebijakan kurikulum baru. Kegiatan pengabdian bertujuan untuk memberikan penguatan kompetensi guru dalam pengembangan kurikulum PAUD pasca sertifikasi. Pengabdian ini menggunakan metode participatory action research (PAR), dengan tujuan mengatasi masalah dan pemenuhan kebutuhan yang ada di masyarakat. Hasil kegiatan pelatihan dan pendampingan pasca PPG, berperan meningkatkan kompetensi guru PAUD dalam pengembangan kurikulum. Kompetensi guru dalam pengembangan kurikulum PAUD diperoleh skor rata-rata peningkatan sebesar 34.575, dan berada pada kategori cukup.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of using Langsa City folklore, translated from Indonesian into English, in enhancing children’s English learning outcomes. The research background stems from students’ low motivation and limited English proficiency, as well as the need for contextual and culturally relevant learning media. The study employed a quasi-experimental design involving two groups: the experimental group (n=30), which received instruction using translated folklore, and the control group (n=30), which followed conventional learning methods. Data were collected through pre- and post-tests of English competence, learning motivation questionnaires, and interviews with teachers and students. The findings indicate a significant improvement in the experimental group compared to the control group, both in English proficiency (p < 0.001) and learning motivation (? = +0.9). Qualitative analysis revealed that students were more enthusiastic and engaged with the material due to its familiar cultural values. The main challenges included limited time and difficulty in translating certain cultural vocabulary directly. Overall, the study concludes that translated Langsa folklore is an effective medium to enhance students’ learning outcomes and motivation in English language education. The implications emphasize the importance of developing local wisdom-based teaching materials to support foreign language learning in secondary schools.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui seberapa besar efektivitas ecommerce shopee pada pergeseran daya beli Gen-z. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian Kuantitatif, pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini menggunakan Kuesioner di mana menggunakan teknik Simple Random Sampling dimana pengambilan data populasi dilakukan secara acak. Sampel penelitian ini sebanyak 100 responden yang di ambil dari kalangan masyarakat milenial Generasi Z. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menguji efektivitas ecommerce shopee pada pergeseran daya beli Gen-z. Hasil penelitian menyatakan bahwa jual beli online terhadap minat beli. Berdasarkan data responden terdapat efektivitas ecommerce shopee pada pergeseran daya beli Gen-z. Kata Kunci: E-Commerce Shopee, Daya Beli Gen-Z, Pergeseran Daya Beli.
