Abstract

A workforce with professional competence is a need for market share in the current era. This effort can be taken through the world of education, one of which is by implementing fieldwork practices. This study aims to determine the effect of fieldwork practices, information on the world of work, and motivation to enter the world of work on job readiness. The research method uses descriptive verification with ex post facto approach and survey. The population in the study was class XII students majoring in marketing SMKN 4 Bandar Lampung with non-probability sampling techniques. Data collection techniques with questionnaires, interviews, and documentation. SPSS software-assisted testing and data processing. The results of this study show that there is an influence of fieldwork practices, information on the world of work, and motivation to enter the world of work on the job readiness of class XII students of SMK Negeri 4 Bandar Lampung. Abstract

The curriculum is an important part of education. To realize quality human resources, a curriculum that accommodates various competencies and skills is needed. Curriculum changes are necessary to adapt to current needs and prepare for the future. This research aims to understand the implementation of the Merdeka curriculum in terms of school readiness in Lampung Province. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. The research informants include 5 (five) educators from several high schools in Lampung Province. Data collection was conducted using in-depth interviews and observations, supported by literature studies. The research results show that 1) There are still differences in teachers' perceptions regarding the implementation of the Merdeka curriculum due to several differences in understanding, which are suspected to be caused by varying intensities in participating in socialization or experiences in attending activities related to the implementation of the Merdeka curriculum organized by the Education Office or through sharing experiences with colleagues in the MGMP forum, as well as not yet maximizing independent study through various sites facilitated by the Ministry of Education and other internet sources. 2) The school's readiness is good, but there is still a need for improvement in the provision of facilities and budget to maximize learning outcomes. 3) The educators' readiness is good, but supervision is still needed in the implementation of the Program Penguatan Profil Pelajar Pancasila (P5).DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.23960/E3J/v7.i2.182-189

Abstract

This study aimed to create an instrument for an entrepreneurship system that aids in improving the employability skills of Vocational High School (SMK) students. The background of the study stems from the persistent issue of unemployment that SMK graduates, in particular, face relative to graduates from other institutions, and the lack of a single instrument that can comprehensively assess the school entrepreneurship system’s performance. The adopted methodology is the research and development (R&D) technique, which aims to create an instrument, as outlined by Djemari Mardapi. The steps involved creating definitions, designing frameworks, drafting content, and undergoing validation to assess the expert viewpoint, followed by Aiken’s V index, the analysis of internal consistency using Cronbach’s alpha, and construct validity through Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA). The results indicate that the instrument developed has high content validity (Aiken’s V index from 0.85–1.00), excellent reliability (Cronbach’s alpha = 0.900), and adequate construct validity with a KMO of 0.948 and CFA model fit indices within the standard range. These indicators affirm that the instrument can be used to assess the entrepreneurship system in vocational schools.

Abstract

Purchasing online through e-commerce makes it easier for consumers to choose and buy the goods they want. Consumptive behavior is individual behavior that is influenced by sociological factors in their lives which is shown to consume excessively or wastefully and unplannedly on services and goods that are not needed.There are many variations of products offered on Shopee e-commerce, including beauty products, men's clothing, women's clothing, cellphones, computers and accessories, home equipment, electronics, food & drinks. Shopee e-commerce also comes with several facilities that make things easier for buyers. The purpose of this research is to determine the factors that USU Faculty of Economics and Business students shop at Shopee e-commerce. This research uses the theory of consumption society which was put forward by Jean Baudrillad. The method used is a descriptive qualitative approach. This technique determines informants in this research using purposive and snowball. This research uses the Interactive Analysis Model from Miles and Huberman. The results of this research cause consumer behavior among students at the Faculty of Economics and Business due to internal and external factors, facilities provided by Shopee e-commerce, the influence of campus friends and factors that support work.

Abstract

Keluarga Berencana (KB) merupakan program pemerintah untuk mengatur laju pertambahan penduduk di Indonesia dengan menggunakan metode kontrasepsi. Kontrasepsi dibagi menjadi dua jenis, yaitu Metode Kontrasepsi Jangka Panjang (MKJP) dan Non Metode Kontrasepsi Jangka Panjang (Non MKJP). Adapun faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi penggunaan kontrasepsi yaitu usia ibu, pendidikan, pekerjaan, jumlah anak, pengetahuan, sikap ibu, dukungan suami, dan pelayanan KB. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui Karakteristik Akseptor Alat Kontrasepsi Dalam Rahim (AKDR) di Klinik Citra Lestari, Jawa Barat tahun 2021-2022. Variabel dalam penelitian ini yaitu, umur, Pendidikan, paritas. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah studi deskriptif. Populasinya adalah semua Akseptor Alat Kontrasepsi Dalam Rahim (AKDR) di Klinik Citra Lestrai, Kabupaten Bogor Jawa Barat, Tahun 2021-2022 berjumlah 96 akseptor Alat Kontrasepsi Dalam Rahim (AKDR) di Klinik Citra Lestrai, Kabupaten Bogor Jawa Barat, tahun 2021-2022, yang diambil dengan teknik total sampling. Data yang digunakan adalah data sekunder yang diperoleh dari rekam medik. Hasil penelitian menunjukan karakteristik akseptor alat kontrasepsi dalam Rahim berdasarkan variable Usia diperoleh 67.4% berada pada usia 20-35 tahun, Pendidikan paling tinggi adalah perguruan tinggi sebanyak 54.1%, dan paritas paling ditinngi didapatkan pada kategori >2 sebesar 72.5%. Kesimpulam dalam penelitian karakteristik akseptor alat kontrasepsi dalam Rahim di Klinik Citra Lestrai, Kabupaten Bogor Jawa Barat, tahun 2021-2022 berusia 20-35 tahun, berpendidikan tinggi, dan paritas >2.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the use of TikTok application as a learning media in improving students' creative thinking skills at SMA Negeri 16 Bandar Lampung, especially in geography subject. The phenomenon that occurs shows that learning in high schools still focuses on basic thinking skills, so a more innovative approach is needed to develop higher-level thinking skills. Through qualitative research methods, data was collected from interviews with students and document analysis. The results show that the use of TikTok can attract students' interest and provide a fun learning experience, thus encouraging them to more actively seek information and understand the material, especially regarding the dynamics of the lithosphere. In addition, project-based learning integrated with social media is proven effective in honing students' creative thinking skills, including aspects of fluency, flexibility, originality, and elaboration. This research recommends the application of more varied and creative learning methods to improve the quality of education in the digital era.

Abstract

This article aims to review the tradition of bajapuik in Minangkabau customs in Pariaman, West Sumatra through ethnographic study as an effort to anticipate the misinterpretation of this tradition as local cultural wisdom. The focus of this study is an analysis of the tradition where a woman proposes to a man for marriage, which is a distinctive feature in Pariaman and not generally applicable across the entire West Sumatra region. This ethnographic review elaborates on historical literature, cultural anthropology, and local documentation to further identify the roots and uniqueness of the bajapuik tradition. Additionally, this article seeks to explore the socio-economic factors influencing the evolution of the bajapuik tradition. The bajapuik tradition is not merely a formal ceremony but also reflects social, symbolic values, and mutual respect between both parties in the context of marriage. To preserve the sustainability of this culture and tradition, there is a need for collaboration between religious, customary, and cultural values in interpreting and respecting the practice of proposing to men.

Abstract

An unbalanced lifestyle and diet can lead to obesity both in cities and in rural areas. The purpose of this study is to determine the prevalence of obesity and identify risk factors for obesity in adolescents using a survey approach with a case-control design. The sample was 35 obese adolescents and 35 normal adolescents who were selected at random. The results of the prevalence study, conducted in 555 people, showed that 6.48% of the adolescents were obese, 10.09% were overnourished, 72.79% were normal, 6.13% were undernourished, and 4.68% were malnourished. The results of the Chi Square statistical test showed a relationship of energy intake (p-value 0.000) with an OR value of 57.578; carbohydrate intake (p-value 0.007) OR value 8.609); protein intake (p-value 0.003), fat intake (p-value 0.000) OR value 23.273; physical activity (p-value 0.000) OR value 6.769; dietary fiber intake (p-value 0.007) OR value 8.609; nutritional knowledge (p-value 0.000) OR value 10.154 with obesity. Excess energy intake, excess carbohydrates, and excess fat are risk factors for obesity. Abstract

This study analyzes the 1955 General Election in Medan, the inaugural democratic exercise in post-independence Indonesia. Aimed at understanding the era's political dynamics and voter behavior, the research focuses on the electoral process, party strategies, and the socio-economic context influencing the elections. The study uses historical analysis to draw on primary sources, including governmental decrees and local newspaper archives, alongside secondary literature on Indonesian political history. The method involves a chronological examination of events leading to the elections, political parties' roles, and socioeconomic factors that impact voter preferences. The results reveal that the 1955 General Election in Medan was a complex and multifaceted event shaped by the legacy of colonial and wartime experiences. Political parties like Masyumi, PKI, and PNI employed diverse strategies to engage with voters, ranging from religious politics to nationalist rhetoric. Despite land disputes and economic instability, the elections saw high voter turnout and active participation, culminating in Masyumi’s victory. In conclusion, the 1955 General Election in Medan was pivotal in Indonesia’s democratic journey, reflecting the interplay between historical legacies, political aspirations, and the people's collective will. It began a new era in Indonesian politics, characterized by active public engagement and the establishment of a representative democratic system.Penelitian ini menganalisis Pemilu 1955 di Medan, pelaksanaan demokrasi perdana di Indonesia pasca kemerdekaan. Bertujuan untuk memahami dinamika politik dan perilaku pemilih pada masa itu, penelitian ini berfokus pada proses pemilu, strategi partai, dan konteks sosio-ekonomi yang mempengaruhi pemilu. Dengan menggunakan analisis sejarah, penelitian ini memanfaatkan sumber-sumber primer, termasuk keputusan pemerintah dan arsip surat kabar lokal, serta literatur sekunder mengenai sejarah politik Indonesia. Metode ini melibatkan pemeriksaan kronologis peristiwa-peristiwa menjelang pemilu, peran partai politik, dan dampak faktor sosial-ekonomi terhadap preferensi pemilih. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa Pemilu 1955 di Medan merupakan peristiwa yang kompleks dan memiliki banyak aspek yang dibentuk oleh warisan pengalaman kolonial dan masa perang. Partai politik seperti Masyumi, PKI, dan PNI menerapkan beragam strategi untuk menjangkau pemilih, mulai dari politik agama hingga retorika nasionalis. Meskipun terdapat tantangan seperti sengketa tanah dan ketidakstabilan ekonomi, pemilu ini menunjukkan tingkat partisipasi pemilih dan partisipasi aktif yang tinggi, yang berpuncak pada kemenangan Masyumi. Kesimpulannya, Pemilu 1955 di Medan merupakan momen penting dalam perjalanan demokrasi Indonesia, yang mencerminkan keterkaitan antara warisan sejarah, aspirasi politik, dan kemauan kolektif masyarakat. Hal ini menandai dimulainya era baru dalam politik Indonesia, yang ditandai dengan keterlibatan publik yang aktif dan pembentukan sistem demokrasi perwakilan.

Abstract

Peristiwa G30S 1965 menjadi mimpi buruk bagi anggota Partai Komunis Indonesia (PKI) dan orang-orang yang pernah berafiliasi dengan partai tersebut. Kemenangan Orde Baru menjadi pertanda dimulainya represi terhadap kehidupan mereka. Mereka yang kemudian mengalami penahanan dan dibebaskan pada tahun 1970-an, kemudian dikenal sebagai Eks-Tapol ’65. Pembebasan itu nyatanya tidak seperti yang mereka harapkan, selama rezim Orde Baru masih berkuasa, kehidupan mereka bahkan keluarga mereka masih akan terus direpresi. Kejatuhan rezim Orde Baru pada tahun 1998 menjadi suatu momentum bagi eks-tapol ’65 untuk mulai menunjukkan resistensi mereka. Yayasan Penelitian Korban Pembunuhan 1965 kemudian dibentuk oleh beberapa eks-tapol ’65 setahun setelahnya. Dengan menggunakan teori sosial kritis Genealogi Kekuasaan Michel Foucault sebagai landasan berfikir, kajian ini kemudian mengungkapkan fungsi organisasi dalam memulihkan hak-hak para eks-tapol ’65. YPKP 1965 melakukan litigasi dan advokasi untuk menghasilkan suatu wacana yang mereka bentuk, guna mendekonstruksi narasi ‘resmi’ rezim Orde Baru. Dekonstruksi terhadap narasi ‘resmi’ tersebut kemudian memunculkan kuasa bagi eks-tapol ’65 untuk mengklaim kembali hak dan identitas mereka.
