Abstract

Premenopase merupakan kondisi hipoestrogenik akibat penurnan fungsi dari ovarium. Keadaan ini dapat menyebabkan perubahan sistem perubahan tubuh yang mengalami premenopause, sehingga menimbulkan keluhan-keluhan seperti hot flash. Hot flush mengakibatkan adanya gejala seperti berkeringat di malam hari, jantung berdebar-debar dan perasaan yang tak menentu yang disebabkan adanya penurunan hormon estrogen. Jika tidak ditangani maka akan memperparah kondisi ibu Premenopause. Susu kedelai mampu menurnkan gejala hot flash pada wanita premenopause.Tujuan : Penyuluhan Kepada Mayarakat ini adalah untuk mensistensis gagasan kreatif melalui program penyuluhan edukasi dengan melakukan upaya preventif dan promotif dalam mencegah dan mengatasi hot flash pada ibu premenopause. Pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini dilakukan di Posyandu Melati Desa Margo Makmur Kecamatan Simpang Pematang Kabupaten Mesuji dan di ikuti oleh 10 orang. Metode : yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini adalah ceramah dan diskusi serta tanya jawab.Hasil : Kegiatan ini untuk meningkatkan pemahaman tentang hot flash dan memberikan hasil pengingkatan mengenai pencegahan dan penanganan kanker payudara melalui konsumsi susu kedelai. Pentingnya program pencegahan hot flash pada ibu premenopause untuk mengurangi ketidaknyamanan yang terjadi.

Abstract

Asian fermented herbal drinks, rooted in traditional practices, have gained attention for their potential health benefits and cultural significance. These beverages, produced through fermentation of herbs and plant extracts using specific microbial cultures, offer enhanced nutritional and medicinal properties. The fermentation process preserves herbs and transforms their chemical composition, potentially increasing health benefits. This review explores Asian fermented herbal drinks from the Philippines, Indonesia, China, India, Korea, and Southeast Asia. The health benefits, including antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties, probiotic effects on gut health, anti-cancer and anti-tumor potential, cardiovascular and metabolic health improvements, and immune system support, are discussed. Traditional preparation methods and cultural significance are highlighted, emphasizing fermentation techniques, herbal combinations, and historical context. The role of microorganisms in fermentation is examined, focusing on their contribution to flavor, preservation, and enhancement of functional properties. Despite potential benefits, challenges related to ingredient quality and safety require attention for industrial growth. Integrating traditional knowledge with modern scientific approaches is crucial for developing innovative, health-promoting fermented herbal drinks for local and global markets.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis efektivitas penerapan website https://dinkopum.tulungagung.go.id oleh Dinas Koperasi dan UMKM Kabupaten Tulungagung dalam pengelolaan UMKM. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif, yang bertujuan untuk menggambarkan fenomena secara nyata dan mendalam. Data dikumpulkan melalui teknik kualitatif dengan melibatkan beberapa narasumber. Analisis dilakukan berdasarkan model e-government Fietkiewicz et al., yang mencakup lima aspek utama: Information Dissemination, Communication, Transaction, Integration, dan Participation. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa implementasi website telah memberikan kontribusi dalam penyebaran informasi dan komunikasi dengan pelaku UMKM, meskipun masih terdapat keterbatasan dalam kelengkapan informasi layanan. Aspek transaksi telah berjalan melalui pendataan dan transfer informasi ke pemerintah pusat, sementara integrasi dengan berbagai instansi sudah cukup baik dalam mendukung layanan UMKM. Namun, partisipasi publik masih belum optimal karena belum adanya forum diskusi atau mekanisme e-voting. Secara keseluruhan, pemanfaatan website ini memiliki potensi besar dalam mendukung pengelolaan UMKM, tetapi masih memerlukan peningkatan, terutama dalam inovasi layanan informasi dan keterlibatan publik. Abstract

The purpose of this study is to develop an e-module assisted by a flipbook maker on accounting materials for service companies that are valid and feasible to improve student learning outcomes. The subjects at the expert validation stage are expert lecturers and practitioners, while in the research trial are Class XII students of State High School (SMA) 1 Seputih Banyak of who are mostly majoring in Social Sciences. The method used in this study is research and development. The study results show that the e-module of accounting learning for service companies based on flipbook maker after being validated by experts and practitioners obtained an assessment with a total score percentage of 76%. Student assessment at the one-on-one test stage obtained a total score percentage of 91%. Therefore, this e-module is feasible and effective in improving student learning outcomes. The t-test tested the effectiveness of the e-module, a significance value of 0.003 0.05 which showed that the use of e-modules for learning accounting for service companies was effective in improving student learning outcomes.

Abstract

Abstrak Pemberdayaan anak-anak panti asuhan melalui metode 4MW (Membaca, Menulis, Berhitung, Mengaji, dan Berwirausaha) di Malaysia menjadi fokus penting untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan, kesejahteraan ekonomi dan sosial. Anak-anak di panti asuhan yang dikelola memiliki potensi yang besar, namun seringkali terkendala oleh masalah keterbatasan akses infrastruktur, permodalan, dan kurangnya pemahaman dalam memanfaatkan teknologi informasi. Program Pengabdian Mandiri Internasional melalui penerapan metode 4MW digadang-gadang sebagai solusi yang dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan, keterampilan membaca, menulis, berhitung, mengaji dan jiwa kewirausahaan anak-anak panti asuhan. Kendala utama yang dihadapi antara lain: kurangnya waktu untuk berlatih membaca dan berhitung, terbatasnya akses dan sumber daya untuk pelatihan, serta mahalnya biaya untuk penggunaan internet. Selain itu, stereotip sosial dan keterbatasan waktu juga menghambat keterlibatan penuh anak-anak panti asuhan dalam dunia pendidikan dan jiwa kewirausahaan. Pusat Studi Gender dan Anak (PSGA) Universitas Sumatera Utara (USI) bersama dengan Pusat Kajian Wanita dan Gender (Kanita) Universiti Sain Malaysia (USM) membuat program Pengabdian Internasional Mandiri bersama Panti Asuhan Rumah Kesayangan di Penang, Malaysia melalui Program 4MW. Program pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pelatihan dan pendampingan agar anak-anak panti asuhan memahami dan lebih mahir dalam membaca, menulis, berhitung, mengaji dan berwirausaha. Penguasaan konsep 4MW mencapai hasil 90% dimana  tercapai peningkatan pengetahuan 4 MW, upaya pemberdayaan anak-anak panti asuhan di bidang pendidikan dan ekonomi, serta menumbuhkan jiwa kewirausahaan sejak dini bagi anak-anak panti asuhan. Kata kunci: anak panti asuhan; 4MW; USM; USU; pelayanan internasional AbstractEmpowering orphanage children through the 4MW method (Reading, Writing, Counting, Reciting the Koran, and Entrepreneurship) in Malaysia is an important focus to improve knowledge, economic and social welfare. Children in orphanages that are managed have great potential, but are often constrained by problems of limited access to infrastructure, capital, and lack of understanding in utilizing information technology. The Mandiri International Service Program through the application of the 4MW method is predicted to be a solution that can improve the knowledge, skills of reading, writing, counting, reciting the Koran and the entrepreneurial spirit of orphanage children. The main obstacles faced include: lack of time to practice reading and arithmetic, limited access, and resources for training, and high costs for internet use. In addition, social stereotypes and time constraints also hinder the full involvement of orphanage children in the world of education and entrepreneurial spirit. The Center for Gender and Child Studies (PSGA) of the University of North Sumatra (USI) together with the Center for Women and Gender Research (Kanita) of Universiti Sain Malaysia (USM) created an Independent International Service program with the Rumah Kesayangan Orphanage in Penang, Malaysia through the 4MW Program. This community service program aims to provide training and assistance so that the children of the orphanage understand and are more proficient in reading, writing, counting, reciting the Koran and entrepreneurship. Built up of 4MW concept will open up new opportunities in understanding in the field of education. Abstract

Medan stands as one of Indonesia’s most multicultural cities, exhibiting intricate social dynamics shaped by its deep-rooted ethnic diversity. This study aims to examine interethnic social interactions in Medan while identifying the challenges and opportunities for fostering social integration. The primary research questions explore the historical development of ethnicity in Medan, the factors influencing interethnic interactions, and the mechanisms through which challenges such as discrimination and social inequality can be mitigated. Employing a descriptive-analytical approach, this study investigates the historical formation of ethnicity in Medan and the evolving patterns of social interaction by analyzing historical records and social observations. The findings indicate that social interactions in Medan are influenced by colonial legacies, economic disparities, the role of religion, and education in shaping ethnic identity. Key challenges include social segregation, unequal access to resources, and identity politics, all of which impact social cohesion. Nonetheless, despite these challenges, Medan’s ethnic diversity remains a crucial asset for inclusive urban development, provided it is managed through a sustainable multicultural framework. This study contributes to a more comprehensive understanding of ethnic dynamics within Indonesia’s urban landscape.

Abstract

Soft skills in the teachers’ professional development perspective. Objectives: This study aims to determine the role of soft skills in teacher professional development. Methods: This study used a survey method for a number of Social Sciences Education teachers in junior high schools. Data was collected using a questionnaire regarding teacher identity and soft skill instruments as a result of development that had been expertly tested and small group tests according to the Borg and Galls design. Findings: There was a significant relationship between age and the quality of soft skills scores (r = -0.292, p < 0.05.). In line with that, a negative correlation was also obtained between age and personal attributes (r = -0.287, p < 0.05. Conclusions: Soft skills tended to decrease for teachers as they grew older, the soft skills the teachers had differed in terms of rank and class and Soft skills were closely related to teacher professional development.Keywords:Soft skills, social demography, professionalism. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.23960/jpp.v9.i1.201906

Abstract

Development of mobile learning application-based media. Objectives: The purpose of this studyis to develop a more dynamic learning media by utilizing technology in the form of applications on smartphone devices to improve student learning outcomes. Methods: This study uses research anddevelopment methods with data collection techniques in the form of questionnaires, feasibility tests and effectivenessof mobile learning applications developed as learning media through stages designed according to the ADDHIE model. Findings: Product development in the form of mobile learning applications is feasible as a learning medium and effective for improving student learning out comes with an increasein the average value of 28 students from 57.32 to 81.43. Abstract

Pesticide residues in soil present significant environmental and health risks, especially in regions with heavy organophosphate used in vegetable farming. This study examines bioaugmentation, an eco-friendly method for degrading soil pesticide residues, utilizing both indigenous and exogenous microorganisms, as well as bio-slurry from biogas production. Puntukdoro Village, Magetan, Indonesia, generates a substantial quantity of bio-slurry waste, which presents a promising solution to local agricultural challenges, including low crop yields and soil degradation. Puntukdoro Village produces a significant amount of bio-slurry waste, which offers a promising solution to local agricultural issues, including poor crop yield and soil degradation. The study aims to identify and formulate microorganisms from Puntukdoro using bio-slurry and exogenous cellulolytic mold formulations. This involves extracting and characterizing indigenous bacteria, preparing external supplements, and conducting ex situ bioaugmentation with seven different treatments. Ten mold isolates, including Penicillium, Monilia, Aspergillus, and Trichoderma, and eight bacterial isolates, including Micrococcus, Pseudomonas, and Bacillus, were identified. Bioremediation assays showed that both indigenous and exogenous microorganisms improved soil quality and reduced pesticide levels. The most effective treatment, P7, with 10% bio-slurry, 10% biofostik, and 10% indigenous microorganisms applied for 28 d (W4), reduced profenofos from 4.718 to 0.000 mg/kg. In contrast, treatment P2W1, with 30% biofostik for 7 d, reduced profenofos by 0.293 mg/kg. These findings indicate that exogenous and indigenous microorganisms can effectively enhance profenofos bioremediation.

Abstract

Etnosentrisme merupakan sikap yang rentan terjadi di Indonesia, berbagai etnis yang berbeda menjadi salah satu pemicunya. Dalam sejarah Indonesia, penduduk telah merasakan dampak negatif dari etnosentrisme para penjajah baik itu dari kolonial Belanda maupun Jepang. Setelah kemerdekaan, sikap etnosentrisme lagi-lagi menjadi masalah, dimana terdapat beberapa pemberontakan pasca kemerdekaan hingga konflik antar dua etnis berbeda.Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penulisa sejarah yang memiliki empat langkah, yaitu: (1) Heuristik; (2) Kritik; (3) Interpretasi; dan (4) Historiografi. Dengan pendekatan yang dilakukan melalui teori ilmu sosial sebagai interpretasi dalam penulisan sejarah etnosentrisme Batak Angkola Sipirok dalam gerakan Marsipature Hutanabe 1988-1990.Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penulisa sejarah yang memiliki empat langkah, yaitu: (1) Heuristik; (2) Kritik; (3) Interpretasi; dan (4) Historiografi. Dengan pendekatan yang dilakukan melalui teori ilmu sosial sebagai interpretasi dalam penulisan sejarah etnosentrisme Batak Angkola Sipirok dalam gerakan Marsipature Hutanabe 1988-1990.Etnosentrisme Batak Angkola Sipirok dalam Gerakan Marsipature Hutanabe pada tahun 1988 mulanya dianggap sebagai sikap primordialisme Guberbur Raja Inal Siregar yang tidak mampu meninggalkan kesukuannya, namun usulan gerakan pembangunan desa yang diadaptasi dari semboyan kuno suku Batak Angkola mendapat perhatian dan respon positif oleh kelompok etnis Batak Angkola di Sipirok, demikian timbullah sikap etnosentrisme yang etnis Batak Angkola baik yang di Sipirok dan diluar daerah mulai mengagungkan gerakan pembangunan desa yang dikaitkan dengan semboyan nenek moyak mereka.
