Abstract

Abstract: In light of rapid advancements in information technology, school counselors must modify their guidance and counseling services to reflect these changes. Unfortunately, there is a paucity of information about how counselors use IT, especially in Tanzania and Indonesia. This study aims to analyze how these two countries use information technology for guidance and counseling services. A total of 100 international and national articles have been reviewed from 2014 to 2024 in Google Scholar, while 25 articles have been selected using the PRISMA model. School counselors use computers, smartphones, Microsoft Word, PDFs, WhatsApp, Zoom, and Google Meet. However, they encounter difficulties, such as inadequate ICT skills and lack of training. Consequently, they frequently learn new digital abilities from their work colleagues. Further studies on ICT use in these nations are required, as well as an investigation of government efforts to enhance digital literacy specifically for school counselors.

Abstract

The level of learning achievement is influenced by several indicators, including teacher performance and interest in learning. This research is useful in proving that there is a correlation between teacher performance and interest in learning in the same way as students' learning achievement in mathematics subjects at SMP Muhammadiyah 6 Makassar. This type of quantitative field research research has a research sample of 46 students at SMP Muhammadiyah 6 Makassar. The results of the research show a correlation between teacher performance and interest in learning in the same way as learning achievement at SMP Muhammadiyah 6 Makassar. This is based on the results of the inferential statistical hypothesis test obtained sig. F change <ɑ(0.004<0.05) means that there is a correlation between teacher performance and interest in learning on student learning achievement for subjects that can be accepted or proven to be correct. It is hoped that the implications of the research results will become reference material for similar researchers. More than that, it is desirable that there be further research regarding aspects that influence teacher performance, interest in learning, and student learning achievement from a broader perspective.

Abstract

Changes around mangrove vegetation in Bungin Permai Waters, Tinanggea District, South Konawe Regency over the last 30 years (1992-2022). Aims to analyze changes in mangrove vegetation areas spatially and temporarily. The research method used remote sensing of Landsat 5 TM, 7 ETM +, and Landsat 8 OLI satellite image data and NDVI method to see changes in mangrove vegetation area, reduced mangrove vegetation area by 75% ranging from 767 Ha. Shows that, along with the reduction in mangrove vegetation area can cause an increase in TSS concentration, the potential for sea level rise to settlements, the absence of sedimentation rate retaining media to the high seas, to the loss of mangrove area animal habitat. The area of mangrove vegetation decreases by 75% or around 767 Ha over time.

Abstract

The creation of a geological database is the initial stage in the mineral estimation process. In this stage, the management and verification of exploration data in the form of borehole data is carried out using a software, one of which is Surpac. Surpac is quite flexible and efficient in meeting the needs of each commodity and mining method. One of the Vocational High Schools that teaches Mining Geology expertise is SMK Penerbangan Techno Terapan Makassar. The curriculum structure of this field consists of general subject groups and vocational subject groups. According to the Regulation of the Director General of Primary and Secondary Education of the Ministry of Education and Culture Number: 07/D.D5/Kk/2018 concerning the Curriculum Structure of Vocational High Schools (SMK)/Madrasah Aliyah Kejuruan (MAK), exploration techniques and mining techniques have the largest proportion in the curriculum structure. This competency requires students to know the characteristics and types of data in exploration activities and the use of technology such as computer programs. Limited access to Surpac software for geological database creation by students of SMK Penerbangan Techno Terapan Makassar causes a lack of knowledge in creating geological databases using Surpac software. The importance of creating a geological database for students of SMK Penerbangan Techno Terapan Makassar is used as a basis by the Department of Mining Engineering through the Laboratory Based Education (LBE) Collaboration program to conduct training on creating a geological database using Geovia Surpac software. The targeted aspect of the training is to increase students' knowledge about the importance of creating a database before estimating as well as introducing the Surpac application. In addition to achieving the target, the service team will later conduct lecture-based training directly to practice the geological database creation tutorial. This training activity also contains the delivery of initial material as well as giving pretests and posttests to measure the extent of students' understanding of database creation and also the Surpac application. The conclusion of this service is that the service carried out can be said to be successful because the results of the pretest and posttest conducted have significant differences where after being given material and also making tutorials, students understand more about the material and also the creation of the database both in terms of quality and quantity of the number of students who answer posttest questions. Based on this, it is recommended to make further training related to software that is often used in the mining world so that it can be a provision for students to enter the world of work.
