Abstract

Screening phytochemical and bioactivity test of breadfruit leaves (Arthocarpus altilis) have been done. The samples were used in the study extracted by maceration method with some solvent polarity enhanced, there are: n-hexane, chloroform, ethyl acetate, and methanol. The bioactivity test use BST (Brine Shrimp Lethality test). The activity assay use brine shrimp A. salina Leach. Content of the secondary metabolites in four crude extract of leaves of breadfruit (A. altilis) are alkaloids, steroids, terpenoids, and flavonoids. Whereas only phenolic compounds contained in the crude extract of chloroform and methanol. The saponins content only in the crude extract methanol. The fourth test of bioactivity of the crude extract of leaves of breadfruit there are: n-hexane, chloroform, ethyl acetate, and methanol had LC50: > 1000 mg / mL; 387.436 mg / mL; 415.623 mg / mL; and 392.826 mg / mL respectively. The crude extract of chloroform, ethyl acetate, and methanol classified active in the BST test to brine shrimp A. salina, while the crude extract n-hexane classified as inactive. The Leaves of breadfruit (A. altilis) has potential to be used as medicine.

Abstract

The research of the biodiesel from bintanggur oil (Calophyllum inophyllum L.) using calsium oxide (CaO) catalyst had been done. In this study, a two-step process was used to produce biodiesel from bintanggur oil. Initially by esterification process using H2SO4 1.25% catalyst by weight of oil and methanol with a molar ratio of 1:9 and continued by transesterification process with 1:12 (oil : methanol) with the catalyst 8 wt% CaO. The esterification and the transesterification process carried out of 2 hours and 7 nespectively at a 65 °C. The synthesis of biodiesel was analyzed by FT-IR spectrophotometer. The conversion of biodiesel is 44.49%. The biodiesels properties were caracterized by ASTM method. Results of biodiesels properties there are specific gravity of 0.8878 g/cm3, viscosity kinematic 5.572 cSt, flash point 176.5 °C, pour point 9 °C, cooper strip corrosion 1b, and Conradson carbon residue 2.469%.

Abstract

The research of utilitasion of beef tallow into biodiesel with heterogenous (CaO) catalyst has been conducted. Biodiesel production initially by esterification reaction with catalyst H2SO4 1% (toward oil and methanol weight) with molar ratio oil : methanol (1:9). After esterification process, trygliceride separated from methanol and continued by transesterification step with molar ratio 1:12 (oils and methanol) and CaO catalyst 11% wt. Esterification and transesterification process carried out for 2 hours and 6 hours respectively at 65 ℃. Composition of the biodiesel was analyzed by 1HNMR, Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry (GC-MS) and their physical properties analyzed by ASTM method. Result of biodiesel conversion is 93.99% while based on GC-MS analysis showed that mayor component of biodiesel were mixture of methyl esters with methyl octadecanoat as the major coumpound (40.65%). Based on data from ASTM, biodiesel produced from beef tallow have qualified as diesel fuel.

Abstract

Biodiesel synthesis has been done from beef tallow through two step, esterification and transesterification reactions. Esterification process is done by using H2SO4 1M as a catalyst, methanol 1:9, temperature of 60-65°C, and for 3 hours. After separated between methanol and trigyceride, then proceed to the process of transesterification. To obtain the optimum reaction conditions then used some transesterification process variables, there are: the weight percentage catalyst of KOH between 0.1, 0.5, 1; 1.5, and 2%, the reaction time of 1-5 hours and the reaction temperature between 50 -70 oC. Optimum conditions of transesterification reaction for the synthesis of biodiesel derived from beef tallow with KOH catalyst is as follows: the weight percentage of 1% KOH catalyst, the reaction time of 3 hours and the reaction temperature of 65 oC. The results of physical testing of biodiesel fuel by ASTM method includes specific density of 0.8675 g/cm3, kinematic viscosity of 4.971 mm2/s, flash point of 134.5°C, pour point of 27°C, the Conradson carbon residue of 0.018%, and the copper corrosion-pieces of 1B.

Abstract

The research in this thesis aims to determine the relationship between early marriage and parenting in the family in the working area of the Upt Amparita Health Center, Sidrap Regency. This research is motivated by the phenomenon of early marriage that occurs in the working area of the UPT Amparita Health Center. The subjects of this study were couples who married at an early age who had children aged 1 - 3 years, here the number of respondent was 30 people.The type of research used in this research was quantitative descriptive research with a retrospective descriptive approach. The data collection techniques of this research were questionnaires and documentation, where researchers conducted home visits to early marriage couples by distributing questionnaires to be filled in and then documenting in the form of pictures for validity. while for data analysis techniques using the chi square test on SPSS 25.0 for windows.Based on the results of research and analysis, researcher concludes that: 1) Early marriage in the work area of UPT Puskesmas Amparita shows that a mother who has children aged 1 – 3 years enduring early marriage . 2) Parenting in the family in the work area of UPT Puskesmas Amparita shows that 20 repondents or 66,7% of the subjects apply Democratic parenting. 3) There is no relationship between early marriage and parenting in the family in the work area of UPT Puskesmas Amparita with a p value of 0.346>0.05.

Abstract

This study aims to find out (1) How is the food security of paddy rice farming households in Monapa Village, Mowila District, South Konawe Regency; (2) Factors affecting the food security of rice farming households in Monapa Village, Mowila District, South Konawe Regency, with a total sample of 63 respondents using the slovin formula. To answer the first goal using the measurement of the share of food expenditure. For the second purpose using multiple linear analysis. Based on the results of research on the food security of lowland rice farmer households in Monapa Village, Mowila District, South Konawe Regency, the majority of 65.08% of households fall into the food insecure category (share of food expenditure ≥ 60%) and the remaining 34.92% of households included in the category of food security (share of food expenditure ≤ 60%). The factor that has a significant effect on the food security of paddy rice farming households in Monapa Village, Mowila District, South Konawe Regency is household income with a significant value of 0.032 which is less than the value of α (0.05). While the variables of the number of family members, the education of the housewife, the price of rice and eggs have no significant effect on the food security of rice farming households.

Abstract

The aim of this research was to; (1) Knowing and analyzing the capacity of farmers in dragon fruit farming in Alebo Jaya Village, Konda District, South Konawe Regency. This research was carried out in March-July 2024 with farmer informants. Determining the research location was carried out purposively with the consideration that farmers in Alebo Jaya Village, Konda District have been cultivating dragon fruit for a long time. This research used primary data and secondary data which were analyzed descriptively, using interview techniques with 10 dragon fruit farmers as informants. With the following results: This research shows that the capacity of farmers used in Alebo Jaya Village, Konda District, South Konawe Regency is the capacity of farmers related to eradicating the white fungus pest that attacks dragon fruit. Analysis of farmers' capacity in dragon fruit farming in Alebo Jaya Village, Konda District, South Konawe Regency. With the presence of white fungus medicine, farmers felt relieved and grateful because they were able to be helped in overcoming the problems they faced.

Abstract

ABSTRAKTelur ayam ras diproduksi dari ayam ras petelur yang diternakkan dalam jumlah besar dengan cara budidaya dan pemberian pakan yang modern dan teratur dengan produktivitas telur yang tinggi. Produksi telur ayam ras tertinggi di Provinsi Sulawesi Tenggara adalah Kabupaten Konawe Selatan yaitu sebanyak 1.933.546 kg dengan laju petumbuhan produksi sebesar 23% dalam kurung waktu dua tahun terakhir sehingga perlu ditunjang dengan rantai pasok yang memadai. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui aliran produk, aliran informasi, dan aliran keuangan pada rantai pasok telur ayam ras. Lokasi penelitian ditentukan sengaja sengaja (purposive) yaknidi Desa Sindang Kasih Kecamatan Ranomeeto Barat Kabupaten Konawe Selatan. Analisis data dilakukan secara deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rantai pasok telur ayam ras terdapat tiga rantai, yaitu rantai pasok 1 yang terdiri atas pemasok, peternak, konsumen akhir; rantai pasok 2 meliputi pemasok, peternak, pedagang pengecer, konsumen akhir, dan rantai pasok 3 yang terdiri atas pemasok, peternak, pedagang pengumpul, pedagang pengecer dan konsumen akhir. Aliran rantai pasok yang terbentuk adalah aliran produk, aliran informasi, dan aliran keuangan, dimana pada ketiga rantai pasok telah terintegrasi yang ditunjukkan oleh permintaan telur dapat dipenuhi dan telah terjalin kesepakatan pelaku rantai pasok, termasuk ketepatan waktu penyediaan telur ayam ras.Kata kunci: aliran informasi, aliran keuangan, aliran produk, rantai pasok, telur ayam rasLaying Eggs Supply Chain AnalysisABSTRACKEggs are produced from laying hens, raised in large numbers using modern and regular cultivation and feeding methods with high egg productivity. The most productive of laying eggs in Southeast Sulawesi Province is Konawe Selatan Regency, which is 1,933,546 kg with a production growth rate of 23% in the last two years, so it needs to be supported by an appropriate supply chain. This study aimed to determine the product, information, and financial flows of the laying eggs supply. The research location was chosen purposively, namely in Sindang Kasih Village, West Ranomeeto District, South Konawe Regency. The analysis used a qualitative descriptive manner. The results showed that the supply of laying eggs consisted of three chains, namely supply chain 1 (suppliers, breeders, and final consumers); supply chain 2 (suppliers, breeders, retailers, end consumers), and supply chain 3 (suppliers, breeders, collectors, retailers, and final consumers). The supply chain flows are the product, information, and financial flows, wherein the three supply chains have been integrated, which is indicated by the demand for eggs that can be met and an agreement by supply chain actors has been established, including the timeliness of the arrival of laying eggs.Keywords: information flow, financial flow, product flow, supply chain, laying eggs

Abstract

This study aims to: (1) analyze the value chain of KWT Matahari Anawai Village, (2) find out the added value of KWT Matahari fried onion business in Anawai Village, and (3) find out the strategy of increasing added value in KWT Matahari Anawai Village. This study is designed as a case study on the fried onion business, the target of the analysis is the Matahari Women Farmers Group (KWT) who has produced fried onions. The data analysis methods used in this study are value chain analysis, added value, and Analytical Hierachy Process (AHP). The results of this study are (1) the KWT Matahari value chain consists of 2 activities, namely the main activity and the supporting activity. The main activities consist of the purchase of shallot commodities from farmers or local markets and the purchase of other ingredients from shops around the production house, the production of fried onions is usually carried out 3 times a week. The production of fried onions has used modern tools, but there are also those that are still manual, so the processing of fried onions usually lasts for 6 hours in 1 production. The second activity is supporting activities, supporting activities consist of planning new product development and financial recording KWT Matahari still uses manual recording. (2) The added value of fried onion products created from the processing of fried onions for a single production process creates an added value of Rp5,202/kg with an added value ratio of 10%. The profit rate is 60.01%, which means that KWT Matahari's fried onion processing business has positive added value. (3) Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) can be found that the criteria and strategies for the development of fried onion business that are the most priority at KWT Matahari are product quality for priority criteria with a weight value (0.4704). As for the alternative strategy, the most priority is the prospector strategy with a weight value (0.3513).

Abstract

Pembelajaran sains meliputi mata pelajaran IPA dan Matematika. Pada umumnya kedua mata pelajaran ini dianggap sulit oleh kebanyakan peserta didik (siswa). Banyak yang menganggap hanya orang-orang yang pintar yang belajar sains. Padahal setiap hari kita senantiasa bertemu dengan sains. Berdasarkan fenomena inilah, diperlukan suatu wadah yang dapat memunculkan rasa suka dan cinta terhadap sains, yaitu dengan cara membentuk suatu program pengenalan sains melalui demo sains khususnya eksperimen kimia sederhana. Secara umum, tujuan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat dengan tema: “Demo Sains Sederhana dan Aman Kepada Siswa SMP Negeri 7 Maluku Tengah” ditekankan untuk menumbuhkan minat siswa dalam mendalami sains. Melalui kegiatan ini, diharapkan dapat menjadikan seluruh siswa untuk mencintai sains. Oleh sebab itu, kegiatan-kegiatannya dirancang secara atraktif dan edukatif agar siswa merasa senang dan kegiatan-kegiatannya juga memuat materi percobaan sains dengan metode yang menyenangkan dan menakjubkan, dengan alat dan bahan sederhana, aman dan mudah didapat. Eksperimen kimia sederhana yang dilakukan meliputi percobaan balon gas, identifikasi asam basa, lem sederhana dan Telur ajaib. Kegiatan ini juga dimaksudkan untuk memperkaya pengetahuan dan keterampilan siswa tentang sains di sekolah.
