Abstract

This study aims to reveal the ways in which widows of conflict victims manage their assets and their abilities in an effort to survive and improve social welfare after the Poso conflict. Data were obtained from two sources: an analysis of literature during the Poso conflict and interviews with victims and their relatives. The results of the study show that widows in desperate situations save their lives from threats and riots by utilising social capital by relying on relatives with ownership. Assets and capabilities are linked by access and property ownership. This was built before the conflict occurred so as to strengthen the bonds of post-conflict social capital with kinship strength among the closest relatives, such as parents, siblings, and nephews or nieces, based on the same religion, for their survival.

Abstract

Jurusan kimia Fakultas MIPA Universitas Pattimura, mendedikasikan pengabdian masyrakat melaluieksperimen sains sederhana dengan judul” Belajar Redoks Melalui Demo Sains Sederhana Di SMA Negeri 14 Ambon.

Abstract

Acids and enzymes break down food and aid digestion and mucus protects the mucosa from being damaged by stomach acid. Characteristics of gastric inflammation include anorexia, a feeling of fullness or discomfort in the epigastrium, nausea, and vomiting. This study aims to determine the relationship between diet and gastritis incidence in students at the Faculty of Medicine, Baiturrahmah University class of 2019. This study used an observational analytical method with a cross sectional design using primary data with a total sample of 115 respondents. Univariate data analysis is presented in the form of frequency distribution and bivariate analysis using chi-square test. Based on the results of this study, 75 (65,2%) had positive gastritis, and as many as 59 (51,3%) had a poor diet. The results of statitical tests showed taht there was a relationship of diet ti incidence of gastritis (p=0,003). Abstract

The study on euphemism in IBerhamsyah Barbary’s 1001 Gurindam explores the use of refined language in traditional Malay poem. This study highlights the importance of language in conveying messages and ideas effectively while also avoiding impoliteness or offended feelings of others. The goal of the study is to examine the many kinds of euphemisms that are employed in the 1001 Gurindam verses and determine how they enhance the language's general elegance and civility. This study examined euphemism in IBerhamsyah Barbary's Verse 1001 Gurindam using a qualitative methodology. Taylor, Bogdan & Devault ( 2016 ) claimed that the descriptive qualitative approach is a research process that generates data from people's written or spoken words and observable behavior. The findings reveal that the most common types of euphemisms used in the 1001 Gurindam are Metaphors 39,65% , Jargon 22,41% and Figurative expressions 18,9%. These types of euphemisms are used to convey complex ideas and emotions more subtly and politely, making the language more refined and beautiful to hear. The study also highlights the use of other types of euphemisms, such as one-for-one substitutions 8,6% , colloquial expressions 6,8% and hyperbole 3,4%, which contribute to the overall refinement of the language. The study demonstrates that euphemism plays a significant role in refining the language used in traditional Malay poem, such as the 1001 Gurindam.
