Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of business analysis capability in improving organizational agility and performance in manufacturing industry in Batam City, by considering information quality and innovation capability as mediating variables. Using descriptive quantitative approach, data were obtained from 274 respondents through questionnaires and analyzed using Smart PLS. The results showed that business analysis capability has a significant influence on information quality and innovation capability, which in turn improve organizational agility. Organizational agility is shown to contribute positively to organizational performance, especially in responding to market changes quickly and efficiently. This research confirms the importance of developing business analysis capabilities integrated with information technology and strategic innovation to support the competitiveness of the manufacturing industry in the midst of global market dynamics.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dibuat dengan tujuan untuk melihat pengaruh retensi karyawan terhadap karyawan rumah sakit di Kota Batam. Pada saat ini persaingan sumber daya manusia semakin ketat sehingga organisasi memerlukan perkembangan sumber daya manusia guna mencapai tujuan organisasi yang optimal. Organisasi dapat mengelola sumber daya manusia yang baik untuk memastikan kelangsungan hidup organisasi dalam konteks keseimbangan ekonomi dalam jangka panjang, karena bagi organisasi yang terus beroprerasi sumber daya manusia adalah fondasi. Penelitian ini membahas mengenai faktor - faktor pengaruh dari usaha peningkatan retensi karyawan pada rumah sakit tipe B di Kota Batam. Metode pengumpulan data, metode pengolahan data, dan analisis data adalah método pengolahan data yang digunakan penulis dalam penelitian ini. Hasil dari penelitian ini memperlihatkan bahwa variabel kompensasi, kepuasan kerja, dan keterlibatan karyawan terbukti memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan positif terhadap retensi karyawan. Berbeda dengan itu variabel keseimbangan kehidupan kerja dan manajemen bakat tidak terbukti memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap retensi karyawan

Abstract

Technological developments have significantly changed the business landscape in recent decades. The digital revolution has been a critical driver of change in how organizations operate and interact with their customers. This study investigates the relationship between Organizational Performance with Digital Organizational Culture, Digital Business, and Digital Organizational Value. Innovations such as artificial intelligence, cloud computing, and data analytics have enabled organizations to improve operational efficiency, expand market reach, and create better customer experiences. However, success in adopting new technologies depends not only on infrastructure and systems but also on an organizational culture that supports innovation and change. This type of research is quantitative with a purposive sampling technique distributed through questionnaires to 242 respondents of private elementary school employees in Batam City. The results of data analysis were carried out using the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) method. The results showed that Digital Organizational Culture, Business Digitalization, and Digital Organizational Value significantly affect Organizational Performance. By exploring these aspects, it is hoped that this research can provide valuable insights for organizational members and leaders in managing their digital transformation. Abstract

Purpose: This study examines how companies’ environmental performance is affected by Green Human Resource Management (GHRM), with a focus on the moderating influence of corporate environmental ethics and the mediating effect of green organizational culture. Methodology/approach: A quantitative research approach was employed, with data acquired through surveys aimed at organizations implementing GHRM policies. The links between GHRM, green organizational culture, corporate environmental ethics, and environmental performance were examined using path analysis. Results/findings: Green organizational culture serves as a mediator between GHRM and environmental performance, and GHRM activities greatly improve corporate environmental performance. The positive correlation between GHRM and environmental performance is reinforced by corporate environmental ethics, underscoring the significance of ethical commitment in maximizing GHRM's advantages of GHRM. Conclusions: Green organizational culture and environmental ethics are key to improving sustainability, while GHRM supports but does not directly drive performance. Companies should focus on building strong green values and ethical practices. GHRM, green culture, ethics, and performance are interconnected, with ethics moderating GHRM’s impact of GHRM. To enhance GHRM’s effectiveness of GHRM, firms should offer training, promote eco-values, and align policies with sustainability goals. Limitations: As the data are restricted to companies that have implemented GHRM policies, the conclusions might not qualify as relevant to other companies. Deeper qualitative insights are not offered by quantitative methods. Contribution: This study adds to the body of knowledge in GHRM by highlighting the vital roles that environmental ethics and green organizational culture play in improving corporate environmental performance.

Abstract

Research aims: This research endeavor seeks to investigate the correlation between Organizational Innovation and Strategic Human Resource Management (SHRM) Practices in relation to Organizational Resilience, with a focus on the mediating influence of Employee Resilience.Design/Methodology/Approach: A quantitative methodological approach, encompassing causal-comparative analysis and partial least squares structural equation modeling, had been utilized to undertake the investigation. The sample was derived from the perspectives of 328 employees of rural banks situated in Batam City.Research findings: The findings show that both Organizational Innovation and Strategic Human Resource Management Practices markedly contribute to the enhancement of Organizational Resilience. Furthermore, Employee Resilience serves as a mediating factor in the relationship between Organizational Innovation and Strategic Human Resource Management Practices and Organizational Resilience, thereby underscoring the significance of cultivating a resilient workforce to attain substantial organizational results.Theoretical Contribution/Originality: This research has the potential to furnish a comprehensive analysis of the mechanisms through which Organizational Resilience may facilitate the navigation of external challenges and pressures that have the capacity to influence business performance and continuity.Research Limitations/Implications: This study centers on variables while neglecting to examine additional potential factors that could impact organizational resilience which may contribute to a more comprehensive understanding of resilience.

Abstract

The use of gonggong shells can be an alternative in increasing business for MSMEs. Utilizing gonggong shells is the main objective of carrying out this activity and this can reduce pollution caused by gonggong shell waste. The method of implementing this activity is through direct observation and interviews. By innovating from gonggong shells, mini flower decorations have become one of the efforts to stimulate the creative economy and minimize waste that causes pollution.

Abstract

Purpose – this study examines the moderating effect of self-efficacy (SE) on the relationship between talent management practice (TMP) and organizational resilience (OR) in electronic and electrical manufacturing organizations in Batam City.Design/methodology/approach – Data was collected by distributing questionnaires using Google Form. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling with a total sample size of 370. Testing was carried out using the PLS-SEM data analysis method in SmartPLS to test the relationship and level of significance between variables.Findings – The results showed that talent attraction (TA) and talent development (TD) did not significantly affect OR. Meanwhile, succession planning (SP) and talent retention (TR) have a significant positive effect. The moderating role of SE does not significantly affect the relationship between the four dimensions of TMP on OR.Research limitations/implications – This research only focuses on TMP in four dimensions, and on the manufacturing industry, especially in the electronics and electrical fields. Future researchers can conduct research by discussing more deeply on different dimensions and industries.Practical implications – The results provide insights and benefits for organizations to invest in effective TMP, encourage employee SE, and build a culture that supports resilience to realize OR.Originality/value – Previous research shows that OR is rarely studied in relation to TMP or SE, especially in the manufacturing industry. Given this gap, this study examines the relationship between the three.

Abstract

Kinerja karyawan merupakan faktor penting dalam kesuksesan operasional perusahaan, yang dapat tercapai melalui motivasi, semangat, keterampilan, serta kemampuan untuk berinovasi dan bekerja secara produktif. Salah satu upaya untuk meningkatkan kinerja karyawan adalah dengan menerapkan strategi talent acquisition yang tepat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi penerapan strategi talent acquisition di PT Dwi Pillar Perdana dalam meningkatkan kinerja karyawan. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah skala rating, dengan mengumpulkan data melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa implementasi penilaian kinerja yang lebih terstruktur dan berbasis kompetensi di PT Dwi Pillar Perdana telah memberikan dampak positif yang signifikan pada peningkatan kinerja karyawan. Penempatan karyawan kini lebih tepat sesuai dengan kompetensi yang dimiliki, yang berdampak pada peningkatan produktivitas dan kepuasan kerja. Selain itu, penilaian kinerja juga menjadi lebih objektif dan terukur, dengan indikator kompetensi yang jelas. Hal ini memungkinkan karyawan untuk lebih memahami area yang perlu diperbaiki dan mengukur kemajuan mereka secara lebih akurat. Dengan strategi talent acquisition yang efektif, perusahaan dapat memastikan bahwa setiap karyawan yang direkrut tidak hanya memiliki kualifikasi yang sesuai, tetapi juga kemampuan untuk memberikan kontribusi maksimal bagi kemajuan perusahaan. Penelitian ini memberikan bukti bahwa penerapan sistem penilaian kinerja yang berbasis kompetensi dapat meningkatkan efektivitas manajemen sumber daya manusia dan kinerja keseluruhan di PT Dwi Pillar Perdana.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji bagaimana penerapan Key Performance Indicators (KPI) dapat meningkatkan kinerja karyawan di UMKM Nelayan Ikan Bakar & Asam Pedas Nagoya. Restoran ini menghadapai tantangan dalam menjaga konsistensi kualitas layanan dan produktivitas, yang secara langsung berdampak pada kepuasan pelanggan. Untuk mengatasi masalah ini, penilitian ini mengembangkan KPI yang berfokus pada kehadiran, kecepatan layanan, kebersihan, kerja sama tim, dan kepuasan pelanggan. Data dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan metodologi berbasis observasi dan wawancara. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa KPI tidak hanya berfungsi sebagai alat pengukuran kinerja yang efektif tetapi juga bertindak sebagai pendorong motivasi bagi karyawan. Melalui pelatihan yang tepat dan selaras dengan penerapan KPI, karyawan mendapatkan pemahaman yang lebih jelas mengenai peran dan tanggung jawab mereka, sehingga menumbuhkan lingkungan kerja yang lebih positif dan produktif. Studi menyoroti bahwa penerapan KPI secara strategis dapat secara signifikan meningkatkan efisiensi operasional, kepuasan pelanggan, dan keterlibatan karyawan secara keseluruhan. Pemanfaatan KPI yang tepat menawarkan manfaat besar bagi UMKM dalam meningkatkan produktivitas dan kondisi tempat kerja, yang pada akhirnya berkontribusi pada pertumbuhan bisnis yang berkelanjutan

Abstract

Digital Business Transformation is a crucial adaptation for organizations to remain competitive in the digital age. It involves leveraging digital tools and technologies to alter operations, customer interactions, and value delivery. This analysis aims to investigate the impact of digital business on organizational resilience, exploring the interplay between digital transformation, adaptive culture, frugal innovation, organizational learning, and organizational resilience. In order to investigate casual linkages, this study takes a quantitative method and gathers data using questionnaires, with a sample size of 295 respondents in a range of jobs within contracting organizations, the study focusses on contractors in Indonesia. This analysis result showing that the digital business transformation can enhance the organizational resilience by improving creativity, efficiency and the agility. Beside this, digital transformation also can boost all the job productivity with the frugal innovation which this can helping organization for adapting from sudden shocks of market volatility.  With the digital business transformation, a company can have the adaptive culture for the organizational resilience on the responding for internal and external changes where the company will have better anticipate further changes. Furthermore, digital transformation can facilitate cost-effective solutions and strategic planning for dealing with challenges for a company.
