Abstract

Provision of good working hours in accordance with standards must be maintained by businesses to fulfill all their goals, including the Indonesian manufacturing industry. The manufacturing industry in Indonesia must prioritize work standards, because these factors greatly affect a company's ability to achieve its goals. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of working hours and overtime on resource management with industrial relations, to analyze working hours to attract employees and to analyze the calculation of employee wages. The author uses a qualitative descriptive method in this study. The result of this research is that everyone involved in industrial relations must understand the rules of the game and other regulations that apply in Indonesia. In terms of working hours or overtime policies, developing the quality of human resources, absenteeism and leave policies, and salary increases that are in accordance with industry standards, can improve employee welfare and productivity and maintain competitiveness in a company.

Abstract

Employee retention is a company strategy to retain employees to stay with the company for a certain period of time. Banking companies that are successful in providing good training and development programs, appropriate compensation and a comfortable and harmonious organizational culture will certainly increase job satisfaction which is in line with employee retention levels. This research was conducted to determine the impact of compensation, training and development and organizational culture on employee retention. In this research, job satisfaction is a mediating variable. The population studied were all employees who actively worked in the private banking industry in Batam City. This research used quantitative research and obtained 280 respondents. Data analysis uses the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM)-SmartPLS method. The data collection method used was a questionnaire distributed online via Google Form. The results of this research are that compensation, training and development and organizational culture have a positive and significant impact on employee retention with job satisfaction as mediation. Abstract

The research aims to analyze factors that influence employee performance mediated by employee development. The number of respondents was 470 employees who worked in manufacturing companies in the Batam area. Data analysis uses the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM)-SmartPLS method. The research results show that talent management, employee appreciation and knowledge management have an influence on employee performance. In addition, employee development has been proven to have an influence as a mediator between talent management and employee performance, but employee development variables cannot mediate between employee appreciation and knowledge management on employee performance. Companies can improve knowledge management by providing facilities for employees to increase their knowledge, and also implementing incentives for employees who excel as part of employee development to maximize employee performance. Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the independent variable Job Characteristics on the dependent variable Employee Performance by using the Employee Motivation variable as a mediating variable. The respondent is from employees in the manufacturing industry in Panbil Industrial Estate. The method used in this research is a survey method by distributing 250 questionnaires. There are 236 questionnaires from 250 questionnaires distributed to employees who have been filled in, and the collected data tested using the Smart PLS. The data test results identify that there is a significant relationship to all variables so that all hypotheses can also be accepted. This study also recommends that companies consider the job characteristics of employees more in order to increase employee motivation so that it can produce maximum employee performance and achieve company targets.

Abstract

This research explores the urgency of talent acquisition and onboarding in the food and beverage industry in the era of globalization and technology. The success of this industry relies on effective talent recruitment strategies to maintain competitiveness. The focus involves identifying individuals with technical skills. Onboarding is necessary for the swift integration of new employees with a deep understanding of the industry, food safety, and skill training. This strategy encompasses technical aspects, cultural values of the company, and adaptability to market changes. Using a descriptive analytical and qualitative approach, the study finds that this strategy not only supports short-term growth but also plays a key role in sustaining long-term competitiveness. The article provides practical insights for companies to design and implement effective talent acquisition and onboarding processes in this industry.

Abstract

Employee training and development is a very important investment for companies to improve the quality of Human Resources (HR). Therefore, the purpose of this study is to evaluate the impact of training and development on improving employee performance at PT BPR Dana Nagoya by using qualitative data collection methods and primary data sources, specifically observation and interviews. The results of the implementation of this activity show that this training and development program not only improves employee performance, but also helps overcome the problem of external employee recruitment at PT BPR Dana Nagoya, and helps develop employee knowledge and abilities. Thus, this program will indirectly improve the overall performance of the company.

Abstract

This study explores the transformative impact of Human Resource (HR) analytics tools within the pharmaceutical industry, focusing on their capacity to optimize HR processes, enhance decision-making, and improve workforce management. In an industry characterized by high demand for data-driven insights, HR analytics tools serve a critical role in identifying patterns and trends, assessing employee performance, and formulating strategic HR decisions. The research underscores the integration of digital tools like HR Information Systems (HRIS), data visualization software, and Artificial Intelligence (AI)-driven analytics. These technologies provide valuable insights that help pharmaceutical companies to align their HR strategies with organizational goals, improve productivity, and foster employee engagement. By delving into the structure, processes, and outcomes associated with HR analytics, this study sheds light on the importance of these tools in driving the HR transformation necessary to sustain competitive advantage in a rapidly evolving market.

Abstract

This research aims to measure and analyze the relationship between organizational agility, sustainability performance and Innovation Orientation which illustrates how organizations can leverage their capabilities to drive sustainability implementation and maintain their competitiveness in a business environment that will continue to grow rapidly. This study uses a quantitative method which tests the outer model of data validity test, and data reliability test using SmartPLS software. For data collection purposes, the researcher used a purposive sampling technique consisting of (150) employees at manufacturing companies in Batam City by distributing questionnaires in the form of G-form to the sample. The results of this research prove that Organizational Agility has an insignificant positive effect on Sustainability Performance, Organizational Agility has a positive and significant on Innovation Orientation, Innovation Orientation has an insignificant positive effect on Sustainability Performance, Organizational Agility has an insignificant positive effect on Sustainability Performance through Innovation Orientation

Abstract

Setiap perusahaan pasti memiliki karyawan yang bekerja sesuai posisi ataupun jabatan mereka masing-masing tentunya karyawan tersebut suatu waktu akan merasa jenuh maupun ada rasa ketidak nyamanan sehingga memutuskan untuk resign dan mencari pekerjaan baru maupun suasana baru dan adanya juga faktor lain yaitu usia sehingga terjadinya pensiun. sehingga perlunya succession planning yang berfungsi sebagai mencari kandidat dalam diperusahaan tersebut untuk menggantikan posisi yang penting di sebuah perusahaan, selain itu adapun tujuan dari career planning untuk mempersiapkan diri untuk menempati jabatan tertentu serta merencanakan karir karyawan lebih baik sehingga tidak menggangu berjalannya operasional sebuah perusahaan nantinya. analisa ini dilakukan pada salah satu organisasi peridustrian kapal di kota batam bernama PT. Lautan Lestari Permata dimana hasil dari penelitian ini, organisasi ini telah berhasil mempersiapkan succession planning untuk mengetahui potensi diri dari posisi yang akan menggantikan calon pemimpin nantinya dengan menggunakan succession table. dan career planing yang dilakukan telah diterapkan dengan menilai indikator-indikator pelakunya dengan menutupi kesenjangan yang ada pada competency functional maupun competency managerial di suatu posisi yang akan diisi nantinya.Kata kunci: Succession Planning, Career Planning, Succession Table, Industri Perkapalan

Abstract

This study aims to demonstrate the impact of Talent Management, Knowledge Management, and Career Development on Employee Performance in the banking sector of Batam City, with Motivation serving as a mediating variable. The research employs an observational analytical approach, utilizing a saturated sampling technique, which includes the entire population of 312 respondents as the sample. The analysis method used is Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) based on Partial Least Squares (PLS). The findings indicate that Employee Performance significantly influences the banking sector in Batam City. High motivation can enhance organizational commitment, and high scores in personality and motivation can further improve employee performance.
