Abstract

Al Mumtaz Islamic Boarding School is known as an Islamic educational institution that implements the kyai's democratic parenting approach in educating its students. This approach emphasizes two-way interaction between kyai and santri, which encourages active involvement of santri in the learning process. Discipline is a very important aspect in pesantren education, because it can shape the character and morals of students. This study aims to examine the contribution of the kyai's democratic parenting model in building santri discipline at Al Mumtaz. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data collection was conducted through in-depth interviews with kyai, pesantren administrators, and santri, as well as direct observation in the pesantren environment. Data analysis was conducted using a thematic approach to identify important elements of the kyai's democratic parenting that influence santri discipline. In addition, source triangulation was used to ensure data validity. The results showed that the application of the kyai's democratic parenting style in Al Mumtaz provides opportunities for santri to be involved in decision-making, so that they feel more responsible for their actions. This involvement strengthens discipline, because santri understand the consequences of every decision made. In addition, open communication between kyai and santri creates a supportive atmosphere, where santri can express opinions and input, which in turn fosters mutual respect and discipline.

Abstract

The development of coding and artificial intelligence (AI) learning in Indonesia faces the challenge of digital infrastructure inequality, especially in 3T (underdeveloped, frontier, outermost) areas. This study aims to design and test the Box Ocean Ecosystem Sorting Media (BOESM) learning media, an unplugged media that teaches programming logic and AI concepts through marine ecosystem concept classification activities. The study employs a 4D development model (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate) involving elementary school teachers and students who lack adequate access to digital devices. Data collection techniques include field observation, interviews, questionnaires, expert validation, and analysis of pretests and posttests. BOESM utilizes concrete objects to simulate algorithmic thinking patterns (IF-THEN logic) by grouping marine components, including fish, sand, and plastic waste. The results of expert validation showed that the media was very feasible, and the field trial produced a moderate gain score (0.52), indicating an increase in students' understanding of computational thinking. As many as 92% of students reported enjoying learning without the use of digital devices. The study concluded that BOESM is effective in fostering algorithmic thinking and early AI literacy in technologically constrained environments and is an inclusive and cost-effective learning alternative.

Abstract

Social media has become an important part that cannot be separated from the education system, not only in Indonesia but throughout the world. This is a change in mindset in learning and sharing knowledge, including Biology. Biology requires students to be able to think at a high level, understand all concepts, and must be able to relate them to natural events or happenings or to other biological concepts. Learning media that can utilize social media is one of the supports for an optimal learning process. Using Canva-based Instagram Feed learning media will make it easier for students to understand and make decisions. This research aims to develop Instagram Feed media via Canva on valid Biology material. The method used in this research is Research and Development (RD) with the ADDIE model. Stages include Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. However, this research only reached the development stage. The products that have been developed are then validated by media experts and material experts. The results show that the learning media developed has an average of 87.00, which means that the Canva-based Instagram Feed media developed is feasible or suitable for use in the learning process.

Abstract

Intention to act of students is an interpretation of knowledge of ecosystems and locus of control. This study aims to look at the relevance of students' intention to act which is analyzed through ecosystem knowledge and locus of control. Research on the intention to act to date has been developed because of the problem of deterioration in people's behavior in interacting in the ecosystem. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative, with a sample of 203 respondents. The technique used is multistage random sampling. The instrument used is a questionnaire for locus of control and intention to act data collection. Multiple choice instrument in retrieving data on ecosystem knowledge of students. This study concluded that there was a relationship between ecosystem knowledge and locus of control with the intention to act.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of parenting management on students' learning independence at the elementary school level. Using quantitative methods, this study involved 25 sixth grade students of MI Ma'arif Sidomukti Gresik and their parents. Data were collected through a questionnaire that measured parental parenting patterns, consisting of authoritarian, permissive, and authoritative aspects, as well as students' learning independence measured based on their ability to manage study time, complete assignments independently, and find learning resources. The results of the analysis showed that there was a significant relationship between parental parenting patterns and the level of students' learning independence. Authoritative parenting patterns were shown to have a greater positive impact compared to authoritarian and permissive parenting patterns. These findings indicate that the implementation of good parenting management by parents can contribute significantly to the development of students' learning independence. This study suggests that parents pay more attention to parenting approaches that support students' autonomy and responsibility in the learning process.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the extent to which GCG and GIC variables influence tax avoidance, with the tax audit coverage ratio serving as a moderating variable, in clients of Ruslim and Ruslim Public Accounting Firm. A survey method was employed to collect data from 181 respondents across 39 companies, utilizing a structured questionnaire. Data analysis was conducted using PLS SEM 3.2.8 statistical tools to assess the interaction between independent and dependent variables. The results of the study indicate that Good Corporate Governance has a significant influence on Tax Avoidance with a p-value of 0.000, and Green Intellectual Capital has a considerable influence on Tax Avoidance with a p-value of 0.000. The Tax Audit Coverage Ratio significantly influences Tax Avoidance, with a p-value of 0.000. The Tax Audit Coverage Ratio moderates the influence of Good Corporate Governance on Tax Avoidance, with a p-value of 0.004. The Tax Audit Coverage Ratio moderates the influence of Green Intellectual Capital on Tax Avoidance, with a p-value of 0.001. The implications of this study suggest that an increase in Good Corporate Governance, Green Intellectual Capital, and Tax Audit Coverage Ratio will lead to a decrease in Tax Avoidance. Tax avoidance is one of the strategies companies implement in their tax policies to minimize their tax obligations in a manner that is legally compliant with applicable tax regulations.  This study also shows that companies with good GCG will engage in tax avoidance when tax audits increase, while companies with good GIC will reduce tax avoidance practices when tax audits increase. These findings are beneficial for regulators, auditors, and companies in formulating more accountable and sustainable fiscal policies.

Abstract

The primary objective of this study is to investigate the application of the Extraordinary Dictionary with a singing method to enhance Arabic mufrodat acquisition among students at Madin Ar-Rofi’iyyah. This study employs a qualitative approach. A total of 31 students from Madin Ar-Rofi’iyyah were selected as samples through a sampling technique. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The collected information was then analyzed through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing, and further analyzed using thematic analysis. The research findings indicate that the extraordinary dictionary with the singing method proved to be an effective learning tool in improving Arabic mufrodat acquisition among students at Madin Ar-Rofi’iyyah. These findings are consistent with the research objectives and strengthen phenomenological theory. The implications of this research cover both theoretical and practical aspects. Theoretically, these results support the use of innovative methods in language learning. Practically, this research recommends that the Ar-Rofi’iyyah Islamic Boarding School Foundation adopt the extraordinary dictionary as a tool to assist students in memorizing mufrodat. Furthermore, this study opens opportunities for further research on improving students' mufrodat acquisition.

Abstract

This study aims to identify and analyze the obstacles in ecotourism practices in Waturaka Village, Kelimutu District, Ende Regency, East Nusa Tenggara Province. Waturaka Village is a buffer village for Kelimutu National Park which has great potential in developing community-based ecotourism. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques through observation, in-depth interviews, and literature studies. The results of the study indicate that ecotourism practices in Waturaka Village face various obstacles, including limited infrastructure, lack of equitable community participation, minimal training and technical knowledge, and management that still requires intensive assistance. In addition, the development and promotion model that has not been maximized also hinders the advancement of ecotourism in this village. These obstacles have an impact on the sustainability of ecotourism based on conservation and empowerment of local communities. Therefore, synergy between stakeholders, increasing human resource capacity, and sustainable management strategies are needed to support the success of ecotourism in Waturaka Village.

Abstract

Pajak merupakan sumber pendapatan utama negara yang memengaruhi stabilitas fiskal dan pembangunan ekonomi. Di Indonesia, kontribusi pajak mencapai lebih dari 75% dari total penerimaan negara, dengan sektor perdagangan, industri, dan jasa sebagai penyumbang terbesar. Namun, ketidakpastian dalam penanganan sengketa pajak, termasuk putusan Pengadilan Pajak dan kewajiban pembayaran royalti, dapat berdampak signifikan terhadap kinerja perusahaan. Kepatuhan pajak diduga berperan sebagai faktor yang memperkuat atau melemahkan hubungan tersebut. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah menganalisis seberapa besar putusan pengadilan pajak dan pembayaran royalty mempengaruhi kinerja perusahaan serta peran moderasi kepatuhan pajak pada perusahaan yang melakukan bandng di Pengadilan Pajak. Metode survey digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data dari responden berjumlah 153 orang dari 39 perusahaan, berdomisili di wilayah Jakarta yang mengajukan banding ke Pengadilan Pajak periode 2021–2024 dengan kuesioner terstruktur. Analisis data menggunakan alat statistik PLS SEM 3.2.8  untuk menilai interaksi variabel independen dengan dependen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa putusan pengadilan pajak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kinerja perusahaan dengan nilai p value 0,022 dan pembayaran royalti berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kinerja perusahaan dengan nilai p value 0,013 dimana pengaruh ini diperkuat oleh kepatuhan pajak yang bertindak sebagai moderator.  Implikasi penelitian ini menekankan pentingnya integrasi aspek legal dan kepatuhan dalam strategi pengelolaan perusahaan untuk hasil kinerja yang maksimal dan berkelanjutan dengan diperkuat efektivitas pengelolaan kewajiban perusahaan dalam membayar royalti sebagai bagian dari strategi tata kelola perusahaan.

Abstract

Provinsi Sulawesi Tenggara, pada tahun 2024 menghasilkan sampah rumah tangga sebanyak 48,92%. Sedangkan untuk Kabupaten Konawe sampah yang dihasilkan kurang lebih 108 ton per hari dan mayoritas berasal dari rumah tangga.  Desa Wawobungi Kecamatan Lalonggasumeeto merupakan salah satu wilayah yang berada di kawasan pesisir yang dimana masyarakatnya masih sebagian besar belum memahami tentang bagaimana pengolahan sampah rumah tangga khususnya sampah organik sehingga masyarakat masih membuang sampah rumah tangga di pekarangan rumah dan di laut. Tujuan dilakukan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah untuk memberikan edukasi dan pemahaman kepada masyarakat desa Wawobungi tentang bagaimana cara pengolahan sampah organik rumah tangga yang baik dengan metode komposting. Metode yang dilakukan dalam pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah metode ceramah dan praktek membuat kompos dari sampah organik dengan menggunakan EM4 sebagai bioaktivator pembuatan kompos. Edukasi pengolahan sampah organik dilaksanakan di desa Wawobungi pada tanggal 11 Mei 2025 dengan jumlah peserta yang hadir adalah masyarakat desa Wawobungi sebanyak 32 orang. Hasil pelaksanaan kegiatan edukasi pengolahan sampah organing di desa Wawobungi adalah seluruh peserta kegiatan mengalami peningkatan pengetahuan dan pemahaman tentang bagaimana mengolah sampah organik dari rumah tangga sehingga bisa menjadi pupuk kompos organik dengan nilai rata-rata peningkatan pemahaman sebesar 24,83%. Kegiatan sosialisasi dan pelatihan pembuatan kompos dari sampah organik rumah tangga berjalan dengan baik dan lancar serta mendapatkan respon positif dari masyarakat Desa Wawobungi. Harapannya kedepan agar penerapan cara pembuatan kompos dari sampah organik rumah tangga tetap dilanjutkan dan disosialisasikan lagi kepada anak muda di Desa Wawobungi sebagai pelopor lingkungan nantinya.
