Abstract

This research aimed to analyze character education integration into civics lesson plan for fourth graders on theme 9 of How resourceful my country, Indonesia is. The instilled characters into Civics lesson plan were: care, confidence, and responsibility. This qualitative study case technique was conducted at SD N 4 Depok, Toroh district, Grobogan municipal. The techniques of collectin data were interview, observation, and documentation. The validity was done by source and methodology triangulations. The process of analyzing data was done through data reduction, data presentation, and data conclusion/verification. The finding showed that the teacher had been able to instill character education in students. However, the integration of civics lesson plan was not optimum. The lesson plan character was arranged without any modification, especially to develop valuable characters of the students because teacher only transferred what was in her textbook. This lack of integration knowledge of character education in the lesson plan became the main hindrance for teachers. Limited time became the reason of less optimum lesson plan of the teacher. Efforts which could be done is by comprehending the integrative methods of character education in learning and teacher professionalism in managing time wisely so that all tasks could be done.

Abstract

This study aims to determine effort in improving the quality of teacher competenes in Pre-School institutions; to describe the use of learning management Standard Operating Procedures (SOP); as well as to describe the quality of learning management. Data in the form of suggestions and reasons were analyzed using qualitative analysis. The results of the study are teacher performance in Pre-School institutions can be improved by implementing SOP on learning management, the use of SOP affects the quality of learning in Pre-School, measurement of teacher performance in a Pre-School institution after applying SOP on learning management with 80% results in good category, teacher responses to the developed learning management SOP show good responses, provide convenience. The study concludes that the importance of SOP on learning management for quality of early childhood services, the program process is still lacking because in the aspect of SOP implementation there is still a lack of smoothness and awareness of the program teacher is still minimal, the product program is quite good, because it provides convenience in working, program evaluation is carried out with supervision activities and filling out an assessment form from the school principal. Assessment tools as supervision sheets must be available to assess teacher performance. The principal as a supervisor, carries out classroom supervision activities by observing and monitoring teaching and learning activities in schools. Some important things in supervision by school principals are related to discipline, creativity, innovation, effective ways of communication, responsibility and accuracy of teachers in using learning media.

Abstract

This research aims to find out correlations of self-regulation to children’s readiness in enrolling primary school. This quantitative research used associative method. The population consisted 5,284 children aged 5-6 year old in Semarang municipal. The techniques of sampling used multistage random sampling. There were 220 children consisting of 110 male and 110 female children. The technique to collect the data was questionnaire in which the filling system was read aloud by the researcher as assistance. Self-regulation was measured by Head-Toes-Knees-Shoulders (HTKS) task. Meanwhile, the readiness was measured by readiness scale to enroll primary school. The hypothesis test used regression test. The results showed that t­count=1.847 > ttable =1.651. The sig score was 0.006<0.05. It meant there was correlation of self-regulation to children’s readiness to enroll primary school. Then, the effects of sex types as moderating variable with P = 0.709, larger than 0.05, showing that there was no difference in male self-regulation and female self-regulation to their readiness in enrolling primary school. Thus, it could be concluded that self-regulation influenced the children’s readiness to enroll primary school. However, both male and female children, they did not have significant difference. Thus, parents, teachers, and governments should cooperate in preparing children enrolling primary school level not only in term of children’s readiness aspect but also the external aspect, such as parents’ readiness and school readiness.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis karakter kewirausahaan mahasiswa jurusan PLS FIP UNNES. Penelitian dirancang menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kuantitatif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa PLS Angkatan 2016-2018. Teknik sampling dalam penelitian ini yaitu teknik proportional stratified random sampling, dan teknik penghitungan sampling menggunakan Isacc dan Michel. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan angket. Teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan analisis deskriptif persentase. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pengenalan diri mahasiswa prodi PLS termasuk pada kategori kuat. Karakter kewirausahaan mahasiswa Prodi PLS berada pada kategori potensi sedang. Strategi pembelajaran pendidikan kewirausahaan pada prodi PLS dinilai efektif untuk membekali keterampilan kewirausahaan bagi mahasiswa jurusan PLS FIP UNNES.

Abstract

Street children who can excel in formal schools can be an example for other street children who prefer to drop out of school. Learning achievements are not only influenced by high intelligence and only capable learning facilities, but learning achievements can also be influenced by other factors such as achievement motivation. The purpose of this research is intended to measure and identify or prove achievement motivation relationship with the learning achievement of street children in District Kemranjen Banyumas District. Penelitian ini dilakukan di kecamatan Kemranjen kabupaten Banyumas dengan 30 anak jalanan sebagai subjek penelitian. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kuantitatif korelasi dengan menggunakan uji korelasi pearson product moment. The results showed that there was a positive and significant relationship between achievement motivation and learning achievement with a correlation coefficient value of 0.622. The level of relationship between achievement motivated variables with learning achievements has a strong level of relationship with a correlation coefficient value of 0622 * * Located at intervals of 0.60 ? 0799. It is hoped that the study of teachers can have a study that can foster the motivation to achieve their students so that the child can be more in the spirit of learning and achieving their achievements at school.

Abstract

The quality and the level of Human Resources (HR) hold a very strategic position in an organization. Besides, Human Resources also play an important role in the process of achieving the vision and the mission of an organization. Therefore, it is needed the existence of management consistently and continuously towards Human Resources itself. The purpose of this study is to find out and to analyse; 1) How the planning used in functional education and training program for improving English teacher competency in Pemalang Regency. 2) How the implementation functional education and training program for improving English teacher competency in Pemalang Regency, and 3) How the evaluation offunctional education and training program for improving English teacher competency in Pemalang Regency. This research used a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. The type of qualitative research approach used was case study. The data collection process was carried out byobservations, interviews, and document studies. The results of the study showed; 1) the implementation of functional education and training program for improving English teacher competency in Pemalang Regency included the process of analysing the needs, setting goal, training model, determining participant and presenter 2) the implementation of functional education and training program for improving English teacher used full face-to-face pattern of 60 Learning Hours. 3) the evaluation of functional education and traing program for improving English teacher competency showed the improvement of teacher competency which was indicated by the results of post-test at the end of the program. Suggestion for education and training providers is that the management of education and training program should be maximized, especially for the management of supportingfacilitie program, in this case is the provision of close worship place to the training room for timing efficiency.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengembangkan instrumen penilaian kinerja team teaching pada mata diklat produktif di SMK. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian pengembangan dengan tiga tahap yaitu tahap studi pendahuluan, tahap pengembangan, dan tahap validasi melalui FGD  serta dilakukan uji coba terbatas dan luas. Subjek penelitian adalah guru produktif  yang melaksanakan team teaching. Instrumen pengumpul data yang dipergunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu; panduan wawancara; angket; observasi; dan dokumen. Teknik analisis data dilakukan dengan metode deskriptif kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Produk penelitian pengembangan ini berupa instrumen penilaian kinerja team teaching, dilengkapi dengan buku panduan dan rubriknya

Abstract

Character is very important to build from an early age because it affects how individuals perceive themselves and their environment in everyday life. This study aims to explore the influence of parenting and peers on early childhood character. It is a quantitative correlational research employing a survey approach. The samples of this study were 169 early childhoods of Raudhatul Athfal Ambawara who had obtained permission from their parents. The data of parenting variables were collected by using questionnaires, while the data of peers and character variables were obtained through observation. The data analysis technique used was multiple regression analysis with the help of SPSS 20.0 software. The results show that there is an influence of parenting on early childhood character with a t value of 11,744 and a sig. value of 0.00. This study also found that peers have an influence on early childhood character with a t-value of 9,090 and a sig. value of 0.00. Implementing a proper parenting to early childhood and fostering social attitudes to interact with their peers are necessary to build their character.

Abstract

Indonesia as an archipelagic country should be introduced to early childhood. Therefore, it is necessary to develop maritime insight learning tools for children in coastal areas. The objectives of this research were to develop maritime insight learning tools for ocean literacy in children aged 5-6 years old and to analyze the effectiveness of the learning tools. The learning tools were in the form of semester program, weekly and daily lesson plan, teaching materials, and learning media and were developed by following the conditions and characteristics of the coastal areas. Research & Development with one group pretest-posttest design were conducted in six kindergartens with 80 students at Konawe Utara Regency, Southeast Sulawesi. The research also involved education experts, practitioners, and teachers of that areas as research subjects. Data collection instruments used were observation sheets, questionnaires, tests, and documentation. The results showed that the maritime insight learning tools is valid for use. The result of trials with t-test showed there were an increase in the ocean literacy skills of students after using maritime insight learning tools with n-Gain scores of 0.69 with the category medium on a limited scale trial and 0.70 with the high category in wide scale trial. It concluded that development of the maritime insight learning tools was effective for improving ocean literacy in children aged 5-6 years old

Abstract

This study aims to describe the planning, implementation, results, and supporting and inhibiting factors of community empowerment in Tanari Menari Village. This research method is a qualitative approach. The research subjects consisted of the head of the Pokdarwis, community leaders, dancers, tour guides, and traders. Data collection techniques through observation, interviews and documentation. Data validity uses triangulation of sources, methods and theories. Data analysis techniques through data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. The results of the study revealed that the planning stage was carried out by the chairman of the Pokdarwis and Astra. Implementation of activities with training and community training. As a result of empowerment the Tanon community was able to play a role according to their ability, and the community was able to improve the economy. Supporting factors include economic needs, community awareness of preserving superior local potential, and interest in activities according to their abilities. And the inhibiting factors are the dancers are not consistent in a long time, the facilities and infrastructure are not complete, there are still residents who are not aware of tourism.
