Abstract

This study aims to develop a division counting tool made from cardboard and straws as a mathematics learning medium for third-grade elementary school students. The background of this research is based on students’ low understanding of the concept of division and the limited use of concrete learning media in classroom instruction. The research method employed was Research and Development (R&D) using the ADDIE development model, which consists of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation stages. The research subjects were 31 third-grade students of SDN Salem 01, Brebes Regency, consisting of a single class without a comparison group. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, questionnaires, and learning achievement tests. The results showed that the developed media achieved a very high validity level based on expert judgments. Furthermore, the field testing results indicated a significant improvement in students’ understanding of division concepts after using the developed media. Therefore, the cardboard and straw-based division counting tool is feasible and effective as an alternative mathematics learning medium in elementary schools.

Abstract

This study aims to look at the implementation of gender equality in PMII Komisariat Al-Ghozali Semarang by using four main indicators: access, participation, control, and benefits. In addition, this study also explores the supporting and inhibiting factors that influence the realization of gender-equitable leadership. This research uses descriptive qualitative method with participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation as data collection techniques. The informants consisted of the chairperson, secretary, head of the internal division, and two general members. The findings show that women administrators have gained relatively equal access and opportunities to participate. However, they are still underrepresented in aspects of control and strategic decision-making, which are still largely dominated by male colleagues. Supporting factors include early exposure to gender awareness through formal regeneration programs such as the New Member Admission Period and the Gender Islamic School. Meanwhile, inhibiting factors mainly consist of low self-confidence among female cadres and male dominance in key organizational roles. This research offers a new perspective by discussing gender equality in the context of faith-based student organizations-an area that remains largely unexplored. The findings of this study contribute to efforts to shape internal organizational policies that are more inclusive, participatory, and responsive to gender justice.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the role of learning facilitators in organizing life skills education programs (PKH) at SKB Ungaran and identify supporting and inhibiting factors in its implementation. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques through structured interviews, participatory observation, and documentation. The results of the study show that learning facilitators have four main roles, namely as an identifier of community needs, program designers, activity implementers, and evaluators of program results. In the implementation of the program, learning facilitators play the role of informers, facilitators, and motivators who play an active role in guiding and motivating learning residents. Supporting factors for the success of the program include the availability of adequate facilities and infrastructure, funding support from the local government, and the enthusiasm of learning residents. Meanwhile, inhibiting factors include limited learning competencies and high workloads. Based on the results of the research, it was concluded that the success of the life skills education program at SKB Ungaran was greatly influenced by the professionalism of the learning facilitators, institutional support, and synergy between related parties. Therefore, it is recommended that SKB Ungaran improve the development of learning competencies and provide post-program assistance effectively to improve the quality of the implementation of life skills education programs and realize an increase in people's independence and quality of life.

Abstract

The development of digital technology has revolutionized the paradigm of elementary school education. Artificial Intelligence (AI) has become one of the significant breakthroughs in the application of artificial intelligence in the learning process. The purpose of this study is to explore the integration of AI in language learning to improve the digital literacy of elementary school children in the context of educational futurology. Through a literature study and trend analysis approach to identify various forms of AI utilization, such as educational chatbots, NLP (Natural Language Processing)-based applications, and adaptive platforms tailored to children's learning styles. This study discusses the ethical, pedagogical, and cultural challenges in the application of AI, as well as its implications for the development of language skills, children's understanding of literature, and the strengthening of cultural identity. The results of the analysis show that AI has great potential in supporting comprehensive digital literacy, provided that it is designed with a humanistic and contextual approach. The limitations of this study lie in the exploratory and predictive nature of the analysis, the limitations of generalization due to the heterogeneity of AI interventions, and the potential for publication bias that needs to be taken into account. Further long-term empirical research is needed to validate these findings. The practical implications of this research are the importance of synergy between educators, technology developers, and policymakers. Teachers are trained to become active users, technology developers design integrated contextual content, and policymakers develop ethical guidelines and adaptive regulations for inclusive, sustainable, and culturally sensitive AI implementation

Abstract

Underprivileged women in Indonesia face various challenges in developing their businesses, including limited access to education, technology, markets, and financial services. The mentoring program initiated by Bank Syariah seeks to address these challenges by positioning facilitators as strategic partners. In this context, the primary subjects of empowerment are underprivileged women striving to enhance their entrepreneurial capacity, while facilitators act as agents of change who provide guidance, motivation, and serve as bridges to knowledge and technology. The community service method employed is Participatory Action Research (PAR), with activities conducted in Boyolali Regency, Central Java. This method emphasizes the active involvement of participants from the stages of problem identification, planning, and implementation to evaluation. Mentoring activities were carried out through interviews, participatory observation, entrepreneurship workshops, hands-on practice, and joint reflection sessions. This participatory approach ensures that the real needs of underprivileged women form the foundation for designing materials, methods, and empowerment strategies. The results of the program indicate that the mentoring successfully improved participants’ entrepreneurial skills, particularly in financial management, digital promotion, and business identity development. Indicators of success were also reflected in changes in participants’ attitudes and motivation to manage their businesses independently, increased confidence in marketing products, and greater business visibility through social media. The role of facilitators, who not only delivered materials but also served as motivators, companions, and social change agents, proved to accelerate this transformation. Thus, effective mentoring requires facilitators to master public communication skills, time management, and digital technology to ensure the sustainability of underprivileged women’s business independence.

Abstract

This study examined the effectiveness of a mentoring-based professional development model in improving the pedagogical competence of early childhood education (PAUD) teachers compared with conventional supervision. A quantitative approach employing a quasi-experimental pre-test–post-test nonequivalent control group design was conducted involving 60 teachers equally assigned to experimental and control groups. The experimental group participated in a structured mentoring program emphasizing collaborative reflection, classroom observation, constructive feedback, and continuous professional support, whereas the control group received conventional workshop-based supervision. Data were collected using a validated and reliable pedagogical competence instrument and analyzed using descriptive statistics, paired-sample t-tests, and normalized gain (N-gain) analysis. The results showed statistically significant improvements in both groups (p < 0.001); however, the experimental group demonstrated substantially greater improvement, with the mean score increasing from 65.18 to 88.19, compared with 64.93 to 75.52 in the control group. The experimental group also achieved a moderate N-gain score of 0.66, indicating meaningful improvement in pedagogical competence. These findings suggest that structured mentoring provides a more effective approach than conventional supervision for strengthening teachers' pedagogical competence. The results support the integration of mentoring into continuous professional development programs for PAUD teachers and provide practical evidence for supervisors, school leaders, and educational policymakers in improving the quality of teacher supervision.
