The background of this study is based on the increasing trend of culinary businesses in Indonesia that utilize digital marketing strategies as the main means of expanding their market reach. The research method uses a mixed method approach, namely qualitative and quantitative. Abstract

The main problem in this study was the low science learning outcomes of fourth-grade students at SD Negeri Poboya. The initial results indicated that most students had not yet achieved the minimum mastery criteria, either individually or classically. This situation required the use of a more effective learning strategy to improve students’ understanding. Therefore, this study applied the inquiry method, which emphasizes active student involvement in observing phenomena, discovering concepts, and drawing conclusions based on their own learning experiences. The research employed Classroom Action Research conducted in two cycles, each consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection stages. The findings revealed that the inquiry method significantly improved students’ science learning outcomes. In the first cycle, the classical mastery level was only 63% with an absorption rate of 64.21%. After improvements in the second cycle, classical mastery increased to 100% with an absorption rate of 88.42%. These results demonstrate that the inquiry method not only enhanced learning outcomes but also created a more interactive, enjoyable, and motivating learning atmosphere, encouraging students to actively engage in understanding science concepts.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to develop a learning resource based on local culture in the 4th-grade class at SDN Sunju. This study uses development steps according to the Sugiyono model, which consists of 10 stages. Due to time and cost limitations, this research only follows 5 stages, which include: problem potential, data collection, product design, design validation, and design revision. 1) Problem potential, observations show that most of the teachers and students are from the Kaili ethnic group. Additionally, existing learning resources have not been optimally utilized to introduce and promote local culture. 2) Data collection, the researcher conducted field studies and literature reviews to gather information related to the learning resources being developed. 3) Product design, the researcher developed a learning resource based on the local culture of the area. 4) Design validation, after creating the culture-based learning resource, the researcher conducted a design validation involving three experts: a subject matter expert, a language expert, and a media expert. The results of the validation showed that the learning resource was valid and feasible for use, as seen from the average score of the subject matter expert 5 (very good), the language expert 3.96 (good), and the media expert 4.47 (very good). 5) Design revision, the researcher made revisions based on the advice and suggestions from the experts to improve the learning resource. From these results, it can be concluded that the culture-based learning resource is suitable for use in the learning process at school.

Abstract

This community service activity was executed to optimize digital marketing effectiveness and increase sales for the Amplang Bukuan Snack MSME in Samarinda. The main problem addressed was low brand visibility and insufficient online sales, resulting from sub-optimal utilization of social media. The intervention strategy implemented involved integrated training on: (1) optimizing social media (Instagram) and creating appealing visual content; (2) creating and managing an online store on the Shopee platform; and (3) implementing the non-cash payment system QRIS. The results of the service demonstrate a significant increase in digital performance and sales. Within two months following the intervention, the Instagram account’s engagement rate increased by 65%, accompanied by follower growth from 320 to 530. The average interaction per post (likes and comments) rose from 12 to 38, reflecting higher audience involvement. Simultaneously, the number of online orders via direct message (DM) increased by 28%. Furthermore, the MSME owner’s competency in digital marketing significantly improved, as shown by an increase in the knowledge assessment score from 56% to 84%. These findings indicate that the systematic optimization of social media content successfully enhanced brand visibility, directly contributed to sales growth, and strengthened the digital entrepreneurial capacity of MSME.

Abstract

This study evaluates the feasibility of Yaka Photo & Studio in Tenggarong Seberang District from market, technical, and financial perspectives. The research is important due to the rising demand for photography services in non-urban areas, where many businesses operate without proper feasibility assessments, creating risks of financial loss and missed opportunities. A descriptive mixed-method approach is applied. Market analysis identifies target consumers and potential demand; technical analysis reviews location, facilities, and operational readiness; and financial analysis uses Net Present Value (NPV), Internal Rate of Return (IRR), payback period, and break-even indicators. The results show a strong market outlook with high demand and low competition. Technically, the business benefits from a strategic location, adequate equipment, and experienced staff that support smooth operations. Financially, the business is feasible, evidenced by a positive NPV of IDR 141,464, an IRR of 10% exceeding the 8% discount rate, a 2.3-year payback period, and a BEP of 61%, which remains below the general feasibility threshold of around 70%. These findings enrich the literature on non-urban creative industries and highlight the relevance of digital marketing. Practically, the results offer guidance for local entrepreneurs in improving digital promotion and assessing financial feasibility for sustainable development

Abstract

The culinary sector in Indonesia is growing rapidly, making the Food & Beverage (F&B) industry one of the most competitive fields in the creative economy. This study aims to assess the feasibility of Spontan Food & Snack, a micro business in Samarinda, using the Business Model Canvas (BMC) approach combined with financial analysis. The method used is a case study with a mixed approach through field observations, interviews, and financial data analysis during one year of operation. The feasibility of the business was analyzed using five main indicators, namely Net Present Value (NPV), Internal Rate of Return (IRR), Payback Period (PP), and Break Even Point (BEP) in units, rupiah, and percentages. The results of the study show that this business is feasible with a positive NPV, an IRR exceeding the discount rate of 9%, and an efficient capital recovery period of four years. The break-even point is reached at sales of 536 units or Rp10,720,000 with a percentage of 41%. Thus, Spontan Food & Snack has good financial prospects and a competitive business model, while emphasizing the importance of integrating financial analysis and BMC in improving operational efficiency and strategic planning for the sustainable development of culinary MSME.
