Abstract

 AbstractThe naming of places in JawaiSub-district has its own characteristics contained the origin of the name of the place.. It is important to know the name in each place. However, not everyone who lives un other place knows the origin of name of place that has been given.Naming places is closely related to geographical and cultural conditions in each region. The naming of places is not only seen geographically and culturally, but is formed through past stories, the conditions of previous societies and the languages used in each region both Chinese, Dayak, Malay and Javanese. Therefore, to solve this problem the researcher details the problem, namely how the form and meaning of naming the place in Jawai District, Sambas Regency. the results of the study obtained 20 place name data which were grouped into seven categories, namely based on plants, geography, location, people's names, occupation, people's actions, and stories.Keywords: Shape, Meaning, Naming Place, Description textAbstractThe naming of places in JawaiSub-district has its own characteristics contained the origin of the name of the place.. Abstract

AbstractThis research is motivated by the desire to understand the style of language and the meaning of the style of language in the translation of the chapter of Albaqarah. The general problem studied is the style of language in the surah. The subproblem is how language styles and stylistic meanings are in Albaqarah surah. This research uses a descriptive method with qualitative form. Data collection techniques used documentary study techniques. The data collection tool is the researcher himself as the main instrument or instrument. The data source is Albaqarah surah in Qur'an Ministry of Religious Affairs of Indonesia in 2010 and this research data in the form of words, phrases, sentences, and verses in the form of language style. Based on data analysis, this study yields a conclusion that comparative language style contained in chapters Albaqarah amounted to 17 pieces, language of contradictions to 26 pieces, language style of the links 4, and language style of the iteration is not contained in the Albaqarah surah.  Keywords:            Albaqarah, Language, Qur’an,Style of Language

Abstract

AbstractThis study aims to find out the basic and supporting elements found in Jepin Piring dance and can be preserved and re-studied by the next generation. The research method used is the description method. The data of this study are the main elements and supporting elements of Jepin Piring dance, as well as the contribution of Jepin Piring dance to the learning of arts and culture in the 8th grade. The data sources include Gusti Balya, Gusti Yusri S.H and Sriwati who know the structure of Jepin Piring dance presentation.The results of this study describe the main elements and supporting elements. Motion has 3 different types of motion, divided into initial motion, core motion and closing motion. The floor design used is a vertical line pattern. The dramatic design of multiple cones, with the movement of dancers adjusting the tempo of musical accompaniment and group composition using a concurrent design. Music accompaniment uses Malay musical instruments and poetry. Cosmetology and clothing are Malay clothing and natural makeup. Abstract

AbstractEuphemism is a word in another form that is refined to avoid taboo words in a language. It can be affirmed that euphemism is an expression in the form of words or phrases that are considered to be more subtle, polite, and safe to replace other expressions. The purpose of this study is describing the use of euphemisms on the news lead of Kompas TV Pontianak. The method used in this research is descriptive method with qualitative research forms. The source of the data in this study is the news lead of Kompas TV Pontianak. The technique used in this research is documentary study technique. In this study the data collection tools used were researchers, writing instruments and supporting research instruments. The results of euphemism data analysis on the Kompas TV Pontianak news lead found five forms of euphemism including the abbreviated form (BS) of two data or 6% of the total data. Forms of eight data absorption words (BKS) or 26% of all data. Form foreign terms (BIA) one data or 3% of all data. The form of metaphor (BM) is six data or 19% of all data. Form of perifrasa (BP) fourteen data or 45% of all data. The function of euphemism is found as a tool to smooth out speech (MU) as much as twenty-seven data or 87% of all data. It functions as a diplomatic tool (AB) of four data or 13% of all data.  Keywords: Euphemism, News Lead

Abstract

AbstractThe old Pantun Melayu also has a connection between sampiran and the contents of the pantun. Such relationships are like sound relationships and meaning relationships. This study discusses the interaction of sound images, interrelations of meaning images, interrelationships contained in the pantun, and interrelationships of language and matter. The interrelationship is based on the vocabulary of fauna contained in the sampun of the book "1001 Pantun Per Pro" by Sudiadi. This research was conducted on 102 fauna vocabulary found in 359 rhymes. Then after the fauna vocabulary data was obtained, then it was tested on 10 respondents taken randomly. There are as many as 100 fauna vocabulary found in 339 rhymes that researchers found to have sound image interrelationships in the rhyme, 16 fauna vocabulary which have meaningful image relations contained in 22 rhymes, and 7 rhyme fruits that have inter -relations in the rhyme. Then from the questionnaire given to respondents found 10 fauna vocabulary in terms of language, and also 10 fauna vocabulary in terms of objects that are less than or equal to 5 who know.Keywords: Ecolinguistics, Pantun, Sampiran Pantun, Vocabulary of Fauna

Abstract

Abstract This study aimed to determine the shape of the property of the plate as well as the shape and shape of the property of the plate and the shape of the shape on the Jepin Piring dance. The method used in this research was descriptive method. The results of this study were in analyzing the meaning of Jepin Piring dance property, namely a meeting with informants who were stakeholders, King to thirteen Pakunegara Kesuma Palace and Jepin Piring dance dancer. Analyze the shape and meaning of Jepin Piring dance through interviews with informants and document it. The form of Jepin Piring dance property was a circular plate shape and a 7-shape flower shape such as jasmine flower, melur flower, kenanga flower, sweet night flower, yellow kantil flower, king flower, and hibiscus. Abstract

AbstractTerms in building houses of Malay people in Sintang Mengkurai village is aimed at basing the tradition as to preserve the knowledge about the terms in the culture. The problem of this research is lingual units and the significance of the terms in building houses, and the supplementary teaching material in Indonesian Language learning on year-7 in the curriculum of 2013 regarding the terms in building houses of Malay people in Sintang.This research adoped descriptive method through qualitative study and the approach was ethnolinguistics approach. Based on the data analysis, the researcher drawed the following conclusions; (a) lingual units (b) lexical and cultural meaning (c) supplementary teaching material of Indonesian language learning on the standard competence 4.1 in the curriculum of 2013 in the second semester of the year-7 of Junior High School. The researcher found at least 69 terms in which for the first problem there were certain form of lingual units of the terms used by Malay People of Sintang in building houses. First, there were 30 lexemes. Second, the polymorphous lexicon was affixation by which is dominated by the affix in the beginning of root words which is 1. Third, lexical nominee in form of phrases by which were dominated by exocentric are there 38 lexemes.  Keywords: Terms, Culture Of Building Houses

Abstract

AbstractThis research is triggered by the importance of greetings in accordance with the greeting system in a language, because the greeting system serves to respect and the media to express politeness to the speech partners. Thus, the follow-up to documenting the greeting system in the Dayak Tamambaloh language is considered necessary, because it can be an example and reference for the community. This research describe the use of greetings in the Dayak Tamambaloh language in Kapuas Hulu Regency, which is based on the type when the greetings are used, the lingual form of greetings, the selection factors and the function of the greeting, and the greeting system. Using descriptive method. The data source was a direct speech by the Dayak Tamambaloh people in Banua Ujung village, Kapuas Hulu Regency. The data was collected using note-taking techniques and recording techniques. The tools used are data cards, questionnaires, recording devices, and lists of greeting words. Data analysis in this research includes, transcription, classification, data analysis, and conclusion. Data analysis conclude that the speech was divided into 1) the type of greeting used; self-name, pronouns, kinship, and non-friendship. 2) greeting lingual forms; words, and phrases. 3) voting factors and greeting functions in the Dayak Tamambaloh language in the family, religious and community domains are influenced by age, gender, social status, familiarity, differences in kinship and function as a tool to call, respect, communication tools and tools for thinking . 4) greeting system; kinship relationship due to blood relations, and kinship relationships due to marital relations. Keywords: Greeting System, Tamambaloh Dayak Language, Lingual Form, Election Factor

Abstract

Abstract This research provides insight into how intercourse or exclamation. The word interjection is used to represent the heart of the speaker, though only by using certain words from Sambas dialect Malay language in Sungai Pangkalan Village, Sungai Raya Subdistrict, Bengkayang District. The problem in this research is how the form of interjection, the meaning of interjection, and the function of Sambas dialect malay language. Based on data analysis, this study yields a conclusion (a) Interjection Form in Malay language Sambas dialect has forty two basic words and eleven derivative words. (b) The meaning of interjection in Sambas dialect Malay is twenty-four. (c) Interjection functions in Sambas dialect Malay language are thirty-four, these functions include: thirty-four emotive functions, nineteen conative functions, five fatik functions, and three referential functions.                            Keywords: Interjection, Form, Function, Sambas Malay
