Abstract

This study aims to analyze the basic economic sector and its role inincome inequality between districts / cities in Riau Province. Then the secondarydata used in this study for the period 2010 to 2017 sourced from BPS in RiauProvince and analyzed by Location Quotient (LQ) and Wiliamson Index Sectoral.The results showed that based on LQ Analysis with the Income approach ofdistricts / cities in Riau Province had 3 basic economic sectors, namely theAgriculture, Forestry, and Fisheries Sector, the Processing Industry Sector andthe Services Sector. Then based on LQ Analysis with the labor approach ofdistricts / cities in Riau Province only have 1 economic sector base, namely theAgriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Sector. Furthermore, the base sector that hasavarage sectoral income inequality with a low category is the Agriculture Sector(0.25) and the Services Sector (0.26), and the average sectoral income inequalitywith the medium category is the Processing Industry Sector (0, 47).Keywords: Base Economic Sector, Location Quotient, InequalitySectoralRevenue, Sectoral Wiliams Index

Abstract

Black rice is a functional food for its  high anthocyanin contents expressed on purple-black rice color. The study aimed to determine the correlation between: total anthocyanin content with  L *, a *, and b * color variable, total anthocyanin content with color morphology and total anthocyanin content microsatellite markers. Eleven local black rice varieties  from Yogyakarta Assesment Institute of Agriculture Technology collections and two varieties of white rice (Situbagendit and Inpari 6 Jete) were planted on plastic pots in a green house. The tried was arranged   completely randomized design with five replications. At three weeks after planting, the leaf samples were are taken for DNA isolation and further PCR amplifications  using four microsatellite markers (RM 180, RM 220, RM 224 and RM 252). The black rice grain were observed based on color morphology using a Chromameter and analyzed  for then anthocyanin contents. Regression, correlation, and path analysis were conducted to determine the relationship between total anthocyanin content and L* a* b * color variable, color morphology, and microsatellite markers. The results showed that there is correlation between total anthocyanin content  with color parameters (L* = -0,568,  a* = -0,561, b*= 0,844).  Total anthocyanin content is correlation too with color scor of morfology and total   microsatellite markers ((RM 180 =-0,419, RM 220 =0,27, RM 224 =-0,493, RM 252 =0,265) and color scor of morphology  = -0,442. Selection of high-anthocyanin content of rice can use the color variable criterion (L*an  a* low, and  b * high). Microsatellite markers RM 220 and RM 252 can be used as moleculer markers for rice of high anthocyanin content.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian dengan tujuan menghasilkan paket teknologi aplikatif dalam  budidaya wijen melalui ameliorasi bahan organik dan unsur Mg , S telah dilaksanakan di Lahan Pasir pantai Keburuhuan Purworejo, tahun 2012. Lahan pasir dengan produktivitas yang rendah, dicirikan oleh bahan penyusun tanah yang dominan (>80%) terdiri dari pasir sehingga ketersediaan air dan unsur hara tanaman sangat rendah. Untuk itu diperlukan amelioran bahan organik guna perbaikan  media tanam dengan pupuk organik. Selain itu diperlukan penambahan unsur Mg dan S, guna meningkatkan kandungan minyak. Rancangan yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Kelompok Lengkap dengan 3 kali ulangan. Dengan dua faktor Macam Bahan Organik dan dosis. Faktor Macam Bahan Organik meliputi : B0 = Kontrol, B1 = Bahan organik dari kotoran ayam, B2 = Bahan organik dari kotoran ternak sapi, B3 = Bahan organik dari sersah daun dan sekam dan jerami. Dosis yang diterapkan meliputi: D0 = Kontrol U1 :  Hara Mg 0,2 gr, D1 = 10 ton/ha U2 : Hara S 0,4 gr, D2 = 15 ton/ha, D3 = 20 ton/ha. Dari tiga  faktor penelitian tersebut diperoleh 32 variasi perlakuan, adapun varietas yang digunakan adalah : SBR 4. Variabel dan analisis pertumbuhan tanaman meliputi: tinggi tanaman, jumlah bunga, umur berbunga, berat biji per tanaman, jumlah polong per tanaman,  jumlah biji per polong, umur panen, dan kadar minyak. Ameliorasi menggunakan pupuk kandang ayam dengan dosis 15 ton /ha, dengan penambahan Mg dan S dalam budidaya wijen di lahan pasir pantai mampu  meningkatkan kadar minyak total sebesar 15%.   Key Word :  Ameliorasi, Lahan pasir pantai, Bahan organik, varietas  wijen. Production of Sesame (Sesamum indicum l.) by organic amelioration, Mg and S  in the Sandy land ABSTRACT Research with the goal of producing the package of applied technology in the cultivation of sesame through amelioration of organic matter and the elements Mg, S has been implemented in the sand beach Land Keburuhuan Purworedjo, in 2012. Sandy land with low productivity, characterized by the dominant soil constituent materials (> 80%) composed of sand so that the availability of water and plant nutrients is very low. It required ameliorant organic materials to repair the planting medium with organic fertilizer. Also required the addition of elements Mg and S, in order to increase the oil content. The design used was Completely Randomized Block Design with 3 replications. With two factors Various Organic Materials and dose. Various factors Organic Ingredients include: B0 = Control, B1 = organic material from chicken manure, B2 = Organic matter from cattle dung, B3 = organic material from  leaves and chaff and straw. The dose applied include: D0 = control U1: Hara Mg 0.2 g, D1 = 10 tonnes / ha U2: Hara S 0.4 g, D2 = 15 tonnes / ha, D3 = 20 tonnes / ha. Of the three factors the research there were 32 variations of treatment, while the varieties used are: SBR 4. Variables and analysis of plant growth include: plant height, number of flowers, flowering, seed weight per plant, number of pods per plant, number of seeds per pod, harvest, and oil content. Amelioration using chicken manure at a dose of 15 tonnes / ha, with the addition of Mg and S in the cultivation of sesame in beach sand land to increase total oil content of 15%. Abstract

Penanda molekuler diketahui memiliki potensi menggantikan upaya penyerbukan buatan secara manual dalam program pemuliaaan. Kebun benih persilangan A. mangium dapat dibangun menggunakan induvidu-induvidu terpilih agar penyerbukan terbuka (open pollination) yang terjadi dapat menghasilkan induvidu unggul. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mempelajari penggunaan penanda mikrosatelit bagi pengujian induk A. mangium. Analisis induk dilakukan menggunakan DNA genomik total dari 251 induvidu sebagai kadidat induk dan 296 induvidu hasil keturunannya. Reaksi PCR dilakukan menggunakan 15 penanda mikrosatelit (SSR). Genotipa dari semua induvidu tersebut digunakan untuk menentukan pasangan induk dari setiap keturunan yang diuji. Penelitian yang dilakukan dapat mendeteksi pasangan induk dari 202 induvidu (68,2%).

Abstract

Gyrinops verstegii is one of the species which produce high economic value of gaharu (agarwood). The objectives of this research were to estimate genetic diversity within and among populations, investigate distribution of genetic diversity, and genetic relationship among five populations of G. Verstegii. Leaf samples were taken from five populations of G. Vertegii in Lombok, NTB,. Genetic diversity was analyzed using 21 selective primers out 200 primers. A total of 42 polymorphic loci were detected. Mean of genetig diversity was 0.288, and genetic distance betwen populations was 0.148. The Proportion of 85.24 % of genetic diversity was distributed within population, and the remaining 14.76 % was distributed between populations. Based on cluster analysis, the five populations were separated into two major group consisted of Pusuk Pohon Induk, Pusuk Sumber Benih, and Mantang I. The second group consisted of Mantang Pohon Induk and Mantang II. Collecting genetic materials for conservation and tree improvement program should be focused on the materials within population and each group (regent) should be a representative of at least one population.

Abstract

Pulai (Alstonia seholaris (L.) R. Br.) is species of high economic value and has been intensive utilization. Conservation effort and breeding strategies should be carried out prevent extinetion. The study ofgenetic diversity using RAPD marker can asses polymorphism through bandingpatterns from amplified DNA. The aims of this research are to estimate genetic diversity within and among pulai populations, investigate distribution ofgenetic diversity, and genetic relationship between pulai provenance. Leaf samples were taken from eighteen pulai provenances in Indonesia, namely Lubuk Linggau, Pendopo, Benakat, Banten, Bantul, Gunungkidul, Bali, Purworejo, Perawang, Mataram, Sumbawa, Kupang, Timor Tengah Selatan, Agam, Gowa, Makassar, and Kendari. Genetic diversity was analyzed using 23 primers and produced 114 polymorphic loci. Results showed that the distribution ofgenetic diversity within provenance was higher than that of among provenance. Cluster analysis revealed that the eighteen provenances was into two major groups. The first group consisted of provertance Lubuk Linggau, Banten and Pendopo. The second group of provenance of Benakat, Perawang, Agam, Solok, Bali, Kendari, Bantul, Purworejo, Gunungkidul, Mataram, Sumbawa, Gowa, Makassar, Kupang, and Timor Tengah Selatan. In general, the genefic relationships among eighteen provenances donot show the relation between genetic diversity and geographic distribution of pulai provenance.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keefektivan metode pembelajaran ceramah denganmedia animasi dan metode demonstrasi pada mata pelajaran trasmisi manual kelas XI SMKTamtama Kroya Cilacap. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah jeniseksperimen semu (Quasi experiment). Teknik sampling yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalahrandom sampling. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui metode tes. Teknik analisis data yangdilakukan adalah analisi deskriptif dan uji prasayarat analisis dengan uji normalitas, ujihomoginitas, serta uji hipotesis dengan Uji-T Sampel independen (independent t-Tes) dan Uji-TSampel Berkorelasi (piared t-Test). Hasil penelitian siswa kelas eksperimen sesudah menggunakanmetode pembelajaran ceramah dengan media animasi memperoleh nilai rata-rata 73.75 dansiswa kelas kontrol sesudah menggunakan metode demonstrasi memperoleh nilai rata-rata 67.88artinya ada perbedaan yang signifikan antara metode pembelajaran ceramah dengan mediaanimasi den metode demonstrasi, dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa metodepembelajaran ceramah dengan media animasi lebih efektiv dibandingkan dengan metodedemonstrasi.Kata kunci : Keefektivan, Metode pembelajaran, Animasi, Demonstrasi.

Abstract

Indonesia has diverseaccessions of local black rice, which are important sourcesof germplasm. However, some of the local black ricecultivars have different names, leading a need to beidentified to determine their genetic diversity usingmolecular marker. This study aimed to identify geneticdiversity of eleven cultivars of local black rice, collection ofthe Assessment Institute for Agricultural Technology,Yogyakarta and compared them with two white ricevarieties using four microsatellite markers. Detection ofmicrosatellite alleles polymorphism was carried out byvisualization of PCR amplicons by electrophoresis onagarose gel. To estimate their genetic diversity, phylogenetictree and principal coordinate analysis were performed usingbinary data of SSR alleles. The results revealed that totalmarkers enabled to differentiate black rice cultivars asreflected by high value of polymorphic information content(PIC) mean (0.695). This value was consistent with the highgenetic diversity of black rice (genetic diversity index, h =0.283) in comparison with white rice cultivars (h = 0.020).The phylogenetic and main coordinate analyses suggestedthat black rice cultivars genetically differed from white rice.The local black rice cultivars were preferentially groupedbased on their genetic those were distributed in threecoordinates and did not represent their local geographicorigin. Genetic diversity analysis in this study will be usefulas an initial basis for proper identification and selection forappropriate parents to assist breeding program of black ricein Indonesia.

Abstract

Beras hitam merupakan sumber antosianin yang tinggi dan murah dibandingkan dengan sumber antosianin lain seperti bluberi dan anggur. Antosianin merupakan senyawa organik golongan flavonoid dengan struktur utama tiga gugus aromatik. Sebagai antioksidan, antosianin bermanfaat bagi kesehatan, di antaranya untuk mencegah penuaan dini, melindungi lambung dari kerusakan, menghambat sel tumor, sebagai senyawa antiinflamasi dan antikanker, melindungi otak dari kerusakan, mencegah obesitas dan diabetes, meningkatkan kemampuan memori otak, mencegah penyakit neurologis, dan menangkal radikal bebas dalam tubuh. Beras hitam juga mengan-dung protein, vitamin, dan mineral yang lebih tinggi daripada beras putih. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, diperlukan penjelasan tentang struktur kimia antosianin, sifat antosianin dan manfaatnya bagi kesehatan dan aplikasi industri, beras hitam sebagai sumber antosianin, distribusi dan sintesis antosianin, manfaat antosianin bagi tanaman, dan prospek pengembangan beras hitam di Indonesia.

Abstract

The Rice farming system has long been implemented by a typical top-down approach. The degree of creativity and autonomy of farmers has been determined by the continuous external inputs. The main challenge of rice breeding programs is to improve the quality of varieties to be developed in a specific environment and acceptable to the user community. The adoption of new varieties was limited because the breeding process has not taken into account the farmers' preferences. Another obstacle that often arises was that varieties are less adaptive in specific conditions. The variety's productivity depends on farmers' knowledge, facilities, and resource management. This paper explores the principles of participatory rice breeding and its application with a comprehensive approach that aims to encourage farmer empowerment in assembling superior varieties and providing seeds independently. Participatory breeding programs are offered as a solution in understanding the needs of sustainable agriculture. The farmers' involvement serves to capture preferences and selection of lines with high yield potential and were environmentally adaptive. Collaboration was carried out through testing the lines on farmers' land. Decentralization breeding also pays attention to the agroecological paradigm in the scale of the agricultural region. Implementation of agricultural region development serves to preserve sustainable agricultural resources and the environment. The farmers' active participation in the agricultural region has a positive impact on ecosystem sustainability, biodiversity, and environmental conservation for the future. Participatory rice breeding through integrated policies contributes to improving farmers' welfare and realizing environmental sustainability through agricultural region management.Key words: Rice, breeding, participatory, collaboration, varieties AbstrakSistem pertanian padi telah lama diterapkan dengan pendekatan top-down yang khas. Tingkat kreativitas dan otonomi petani ditentukan oleh input eksternal secara terus menerus. Tantangan utama program pemuliaan padi ialah meningkatkan kualitas varietas untuk dikembangkan di lingkungan khusus dan dapat diterima oleh masyarakat pengguna. Adopsi varietas baru terbatas karena proses pemuliaan belum memperhatikan preferensi petani. Kendala lain yang sering muncul yaitu varietas kurang adaptif pada lingkungan spesifik. Produktivitas varietas bergantung pada pengetahuan petani, fasilitas, dan pengelolaan sumber daya. Makalah ini menggali prinsip pemuliaan padi secara partisipatif dan penerapannya dengan pendekatan komprehensif yang bertujuan utuk mendorong pemberdayaan petani dalam perakitan varietas unggul dan penyediaan benih secara mandiri. Program pemuliaan partisipatif ditawarkan sebagai solusi dalam memahami kebutuhan pertanian berkelanjutan. Keterlibatan petani berfungsi untuk menjaring preferensi dan seleksi galur dengan potensi hasil tinggi dan adaptif lingkungan. Kolaborasi dilakukan melalui uji galur di lahan petani. Pemuliaan desentralisasi juga memperhatikan paradigma agroekologi dalam skala kawasan pertanian. Implementasi pembangunan kawasan pertanian berfungsi melestarikan sumber daya dan lingkungan pertanian berkelanjutan. Partisipasi aktif petani di kawasan pertanian berdampak positif terhadap kelestarian ekosistem, keanekaragaman hayati, dan konservasi lingkungan bagi masa depan. Pemuliaan padi partisipatif melalui kebijakan terintegrasi berkontribusi pada peningkatan kesejahteraan petani dan mewujudkan kelestarian lingkungan melalui pengelolaan kawasan pertanian.Kata kunci: Padi, pemuliaan, partisipatif, kolaborasi, varietas
