Abstract

This study aims to analyze the utilization of Information and Communication Technology in literacy education within elementary schools and elementary students' literary comprehension of fictional texts. The study used a mixed-method design and involved 160 students and 20 teachers from eight schools, with the public elementary school of Kuningan 01 Semarang having the most significant student representation. The research found that educators frequently integrate laptops, projectors, and digital applications into literacy instruction, though limited connectivity and inadequate infrastructure regularly present implementation challenges. Similarly, an investigation of students' fiction comprehension shows that primary learners consistently display positive reading behaviors and generally demonstrate solid abilities in fundamental literary understanding tasks. The study recommends comprehensive strategies for literacy improvement through infrastructure development, teacher training, careful text selection, reading strategy integration, and reflective practices that address diverse learning needs.

Abstract

This article discusses the transformation of anti-bullying policies in elementary schools, focusing on the development of implementation and the impact of these policies on the learning environment. This study was conducted at SD Negeri 1 Mangunharjo, Tembalang, Semarang City. The study used a qualitative approach. The researchers conducted surveys and interviews with students, teachers, and parents to assess their understanding of the existing anti-bullying policies. The findings of the study indicate that although the policies have been introduced, there is still a gap between the written policies and actual implementation. Many teachers and school staff do not receive adequate training to handle bullying cases effectively. Students are often unaware of the policies and do not feel comfortable reporting them. In addition, this study found that a positive and inclusive school environment is important in reducing bullying rates. Through an analysis of the policies and practices implemented, this article suggests important steps that need to be taken to improve anti-bullying policies, including the need for teacher training, parental involvement, and strengthening the role of students in creating a culture of respect for differences. It is hoped that the findings of this study can provide references for policy makers and educators to create a safe and friendly school environment for all students.

Abstract

This research aims to explore in depth the experiences, perceptions and views of teachers and students regarding the implementation of differentiated learning in mathematics learning based on constructivist principles. The research method uses a qualitative approach by collecting data from interviews and classroom observations. The research subjects consisted of 7 teachers and 30 students. Data analysis was processed using triangulation techniques from various sources, namely teachers, students and curriculum documents. The results of the research show that the implementation of differentiated learning is effective in increasing individual students' understanding of mathematical concepts, giving teachers the freedom to prepare various plans, implementing varied learning strategies, and students gaining new understanding through the construction of their learning experiences. with  students constructing their own understanding so as to enable them to achieve their learning potential optimally.

Abstract

BSTRACT Vocational education (SMK) has a strategic role in preparing human resources ready for work. Indonesia has targeted an increase in the proportion of vocational high school students in order to prepare a productive workforce and reduce the unemployment rate of secondary education graduates (Kemdikbud, 2020). However, in reality, the number of junior high school/MTs graduates who choose to continue to vocational high schools is still lower than those who continue to high schools or MA (BPS, 2023). The results of a mini-research conducted by researchers on grade IX students of SMP 1 Dawe Kudus in the 2024/2025 academic year through a questionnaire in the form of a Google form regarding the choice of further studies to SMA/SMK/MA/Islamic Boarding Schools, also showed that SMA is still more popular with students. Of the 206 students, 143 students chose SMA, 54 students chose SMK, 3 students chose MA, and 6 students did not continue their studies. This article examines the factors that cause low interest in vocational high schools and provides strategic recommendations to increase participation in vocational education. Through literature study and data analysis, it was found that negative public perception of vocational schools, disparities in quality between vocational schools, and weak links to the world of work are the main obstacles. It is necessary to transform the image of vocational schools, revitalize the curriculum, and increase synergy with industry to attract more students to vocational education. ABSTRAK Pendidikan vokasional (SMK) memiliki peran strategis dalam menyiapkan sumber daya manusia siap kerja. Indonesia telah menargetkan peningkatan proporsi siswa SMK dalam rangka menyiapkan tenaga kerja produktif dan mengurangi angka pengangguran lulusan pendidikan menengah (Kemdikbud, 2020). Namun kenyataannya, jumlah siswa lulusan SMP/MTs yang memilih melanjutkan ke SMK masih lebih rendah dibandingkan yang melanjutkan ke SMA atau MA (BPS, 2023). Hasil mini riset yang dilakukan peneliti pada siswa kelas IX SMP 1 Dawe Kudus TA 2024/2025 melalui angket dalam bentuk google form tentang pemilihan studi lanjut ke SMA/SMK/MA/Pondok Pesantren, juga menunjukkan SMA masih lebih diminati oleh siswa. Dari 206 siswa terdapat 143 siswa memilih SMA, 54 siswa memilih SMK, 3 siswa memilih MA, dan 6 siswa tidak melanjutkan studi. Artikel ini mengkaji faktor-faktor yang menyebabkan rendahnya minat terhadap SMK dan memberikan rekomendasi strategis untuk meningkatkan partisipasi pendidikan vokasional. Melalui studi literatur dan analisis data, ditemukan bahwa persepsi negatif masyarakat terhadap SMK, ketimpangan mutu antar SMK, dan lemahnya keterkaitan dengan dunia kerja menjadi hambatan utama. Perlu transformasi citra SMK, revitalisasi kurikulum, dan peningkatan sinergi dengan industri untuk menarik lebih banyak siswa ke pendidikan vokasional. Kata kunci: pendidikan vokasional (SMK), analisis faktor, rekomendasi strategis.

Abstract

Critical thinking skills are essential in modern education and are important in sound decision-making and problem-solving. Therefore, effective teaching in developing students' critical thinking skills must be taken seriously. This article aims to review various effective teaching strategies in improving critical thinking skills at different levels of education. This research uses a literature study approach by analyzing recent articles discussing teaching methods, focusing on developing critical thinking. Based on the literature review conducted, it was found that methods such as Problem-Based Learning (PBL) and inquiry-based learning (IBL) proved to be very effective in improving critical thinking skills. PBL, which encourages students to solve real problems in groups, provides hands-on experience in critical thinking. In addition, IBL teaches students to ask questions and explore answers independently and actively. Both methods improve students' analytical and evaluative skills at primary and tertiary education levels. However, challenges in implementation include the need for ongoing training for educators and limited resources. In conclusion, teaching based on these methods effectively improves students' critical thinking skills and prepares them to face the challenges of the complex world of work.

Abstract

This literature review departs from the problems in learning mathematics in elementary schools related to teaching abstract material, such as fractions, which affects the low achievement of student learning outcomes. This literature review aims to theoretically analyze the impact of using teaching modules based on the Realistic Mathematics Approach (PMR) in improving student learning outcomes in primary schools. The method used in this review is a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) covering 25 articles from five databases: Google Scholar, DOAJ, Sinta, ResearchGate, and Scopus. The articles were keyworded "teaching module", "realistic mathematics", "learning outcomes", "primary school", "RME", and "teaching module", using the Boolean operator "AND". The results showed that using PMR-based teaching modules positively impacted student learning outcomes. The main findings of this literature review are: 1) Better understanding of math concepts; 2) Increased active participation of students; 3) Increased critical thinking and problem-solving skills; 4) Teaching modules are considered practical and feasible; 5) Positive responses from teachers and students. In conclusion, PMR-based teaching modules have proven effective in improving the learning outcomes of elementary school students. This study recommends the need for development and training for teachers in designing PMR-based teaching modules to produce more relevant and efficient learning experiences in elementary schools.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengevaluasi sejauh mana e-modul interaktif yang dirancang dengan pendekatan Project-Based Learning (PJBL) efektif dalam meningkatkan pencapaian belajar peserta didik di tingkat sekolah dasar, khususnya pada materi ekosistem. Metode yang digunakan adalah studi literatur naratif-deskriptif terhadap 20 artikel ilmiah nasional dan internasional yang diterbitkan dalam rentang 2020-2025 . Literatur dipilih berdasarkan kriteria inklusi yang meliputi fokus pada pengembangan e-modul, penerapan PJBL, serta relevansi dengan pembelajaran di sekolah dasar. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa integrasi PJBL dalam e-modul interaktif berkontribusi signifikan terhadap peningkatan pemahaman konsep (40%), motivasi belajar (35%), dan keterlibatan aktif siswa (25%). Selain itu, media ini dinilai efektif dalam membangun keterampilan abad ke-21 seperti berpikir kritis, kolaboratif, dan mandiri. Namun demikian, tantangan masih dihadapi pada aspek kompetensi guru, akses teknologi, dan ketersediaan pelatihan pengembangan media ajar. Implikasi dari temuan ini menegaskan pentingnya dukungan sistemik berupa pelatihan guru, penyediaan infrastruktur digital, serta kebijakan pendidikan yang mendorong inovasi pembelajaran. Dengan demikian, e-modul interaktif berbasis PJBL menjadi strategi potensial untuk meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran di era Kurikulum Merdeka.

Abstract

This article aims to see how e-modules designed with the Project Based Learning (PjBL) approach can improve students' critical thinking skills. The method used is a literature review analyzing 25 relevant articles published between 2018 and 2025. This study's findings indicate that applying the Project Based Learning (PjBL) model in e-modules significantly impacts students' critical thinking skills. The project-based learning model provides opportunities for students to actively participate in solving complex problems, thus encouraging them to think critically and deeply in evaluating information. This result confirms that applying PjBL in e-modules is essential to equip students to face the challenges in the 21st century.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a learning media called JARIPO (Belajar Ide Pokok), assisted by Adobe Animate, which integrates the Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) model into Indonesian language learning for elementary school students. The research method used is Research and Development (R&D), following a simplified Borg & Gall development procedure up to the expert validation stage. The validation results show that the developed media is feasible for use, with a feasibility percentage of 92.85% by language experts, 97.22% by media experts, and 94.44% by subject matter experts. The developed media is considered engaging, interactive, capable of increasing learning motivation, and suitable for the characteristics of elementary school students. This learning media can teach primary idea material in Indonesian language classes and assist teachers in enhancing students' reading skills and participation.

Abstract

This article examines efforts to enhance the capacity of junior high school social studies (IPS) teachers in Semarang City to integrate disaster awareness education into classroom instruction. The study employs a qualitative descriptive approach, conducted through a series of activities including training sessions, mentoring, and evaluations involving participating teachers. Data was collected through direct observation during training and mentoring, documentation of the teachers' lesson plan results, and in-depth interviews. Analysis was conducted using data reduction techniques, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The findings indicate a significant improvement in teachers’ understanding of disaster concepts, risk mitigation, and the implementation of pedagogical strategies grounded in local wisdom. The program also successfully produced thematic learning modules that are practical and applicable for disaster-oriented social studies education. Overall, this article contributes to the advancement of disaster education integration within the junior secondary school curriculum.
