Abstract

In an era of disruption, the skills needed by students include reading and communication. One approach that is believed to be able to practice reading and communication skills is the content language integrated learning approach. This study aims to analyze and identify the effectiveness of a content language integrated learning approach on reading and communication skills for third grade elementary school students. The research design was pre-experimental and the sampling technique used purposive sampling. This study involved 2 elementary schools with a sample size of 99 students. The data collection techniques used were tests, performance assessment, and documentation. The data obtained were analyzed using paired t-test and N-Gain test. The results showed that the implementation of the integrated content language learning approach was able to improve the students 'reading test results and students' communication performance assessments. The finding proves that the integrated language learning approach is effective for training the reading and communication skills of third grade elementary school students.

Abstract

ABSTRAK: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan hasil analisis kualitas butir soal (PTS) kelas VIII mata pelajaran bahasa Indonesia dan untuk memaparkan hasil rekonstruksi instrumen penilaian tengah semester kelas VIII mata pelajaran bahasa Indonesia bermuatan HOTS bermuatan Adiwiyata. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian analisis ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini adalah triangulasi data. Pembahasan pada artikel ini merupakan sebagian langkah dari penelitian rekonstruksi instrumen penilaian tengah semester kelas VIII mata pelajaran bahasa Indonesia bermuatan HOTS berbasis adiwiyata. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kandungan HOTS pada lima paket soal PTS masing-masing memiliki kandungan HOTS yaitu paket A 23,3%, paket B 3,3%, paket C 16%, paket D 12,5%, dan paket E 35%. Terdapat pula hasil penelitian yang menunjukkan kandungan stimulus adiwiyata pada lima paket soal yaitu paket A 33%, paket B 40%, paket C 12%, paket D 20%, dan paket E 30%. Kisi-kisi soal PTS mata pelajaran bahasa Indonesia bermuatan HOTS bermuatan Adiwiyata mengandung level kognitif HOTS sebanyak 95% dan MOTS 5% dengan tujuan untuk membekali dan membiasakan peserta didik dalam berpikir secara analitis, kritis, dan kreatif serta dapat bersaing dalam dunia internasional. Hasil rekonstruksi PTS kelas VIII mata pelajaran bahasa Indonesia bermuatan HOTS berbasis Adiwiyata mengandung stimulus adiwiyata sebanyak 100% dengan tujuan mengajak peserta didik membangun rasa kepedulian terhadap lingkungan. Kata kunci: PTS, higher order thinking skills, adiwiyata ABSTRACT: This research aims to describe the results of the analysis of the quality of items (PTS) class VIII Indonesian subjects and to explain the results of the reconstruction of the mid-term assessment instrument class VIII Indonesian subjects containing HOTS with Adiwiyata. This type of research is qualitative research. The method used in this analytical research is descriptive qualitative. Data collection techniques in this study are data triangulation. The discussion in this article is part of the steps in the reconstruction of the VIII midterm assessment instrument for Indonesian subjects with adiwiyata-based HOTS. The results of this study indicate that the HOTS content in five PTS question packages each has a HOTS content that is package A 23.3%, package B 3.3%, package C 16%, package D 12.5%, and package E 35% . There are also research results that show the adiwiyata stimulus content in five question packages, namely package A 33%, package B 40%, package C 12%, package D 20%, and package E 30%. The PTS Indonesian language lattice loaded with HOTS charged Adiwiyata contains HOTS cognitive level of 95% and MOTS 5% with the aim to equip and familiarize students with analytical, critical and creative thinking and can compete in the international world. The results of the reconstruction of PTS class VIII Indonesian subjects containing Adiwiyata-based HOTS contain 100% adiwiyata stimulus with the aim of inviting students to build a sense of environmental stewardship. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui:  (1) keefektifan model field trip dalam pembelajaran menulis teks deskripsi, (2) keefektifan model think talk write dalam pembelajaran menulis teks deskripsi, (3) model yang lebih efektif digunakan dalam pembelajaran menulis teks deskripsi.  Penelitian ini adalah penelitian quasi experimental yang menggunakan dua kelas eksperimen. Kelas eksperimen 1 yang berjumlah 28 siswa diberikan perlakuan dengan menggunakan model field trip dalam pembelajaran menulis teks deskripsi, dan kelas eksperimen 2 berjumlah 26 siswa diberikan perlakuan model think talk write pada pembelajaran menulis teks deskripsi. Data penelitian diperoleh dengan observasi, wawancara, dan pengambilan nilai pretest dan posttest pada pembelajaran menulis teks deskripsi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) model field trip efektif  digunakan karena signifikansi 0,000<0,05. Jika signifikansi >0,05 maka model yang digunakan tidak efektif.  (2) model think talk write efektif digunakan dalam pembelajaran menulis teks deskripsi digunakan karena signifikansi 0,000<0,05. Jika signifikansi >0,05 maka model yang digunakan tidak efektif, (3) model field trip lebih efektif digunakan dalam pembelajaran menulis teks deskripsi dibuktikan dengan perolehan sig kelas eksperimen 1 0,026 dan sig kelas eksperimen 2 0,028 <0,05.Kata kunci: model pembelajaran field trip; model pembelajaran think talk write; menulis teks deskripsi.

Abstract

Abstrak Masalah penelitian ini meliputi (1) bagaimana perbandingan proses pembentukan verba dengan afiksasi pada bahasa Indonesia dan bahasa Jawa; (2) bagaimana perbandingan jenis afiks pembentuk verba bahasa Indonesia dan bahasa Jawa; (3) bagaimanakah perbandingan makna gramatikal afiks pembentuk verba pada bahasa Indonesia dan bahasa Jawa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbandingan afiks pembentuk verba pada bahasa Indonesia dan bahasa Jawa yang meliputi proses pembentukan, jenis afiks pembentuk, serta makna gramatikal afiks. Abstract

Learning to write short-story text expects the learners to capable of explaining a process of certain phenomenon occurrence. Therefore, an appropriate learning model is needed based on the learners’ cognitive styles. This research explained the effectiveness of short-story text learning with the CIRC model based on the eleventh graders’ cognitive styles. The research design was a one-group pretest-posttest. The sample was taken with purposive sampling. The instruments of data analysis techniques were validity and reliability tests. The samples were examined with normality and homogeneity tests. The final data analysis was a t-test to determine the effectiveness comparison of the cognitive style-based short-story writing learning. The findings showed the average score of FD-styled learners was 82.42, 79.13 for the moderate-styled learners, and 86.48 for FI-styled learners. Theoretically, the findings could be implemented to enrich the educational research and knowledge of writing short-story text.

Abstract

Technological developments have made online media a preference for delivering news. News that is spread in online media influences people's mindset and life. This has implications for the high potential for people to be trapped in fake news that is massively spread in online media. This study analyses the hoaxes in the 2019 presidential campaign. The results discuss the fake news, namely (1) 7 fake news from 35 findings of fake news with a percentage of 20%, (2) 3 findings of types of fake news (clickbait) with a percentage of 8%, (3) 4 findings of confirmation bias with a percentage of 12%, (4) 6 findings of false news types of misinformation with a percentage of 18%, (5) there are 6 findings of satire types of fake news with a percentage of 18%, (6) 3 findings of post-truth types of fake news, with a percentage of 8%, (7) there are 5 findings of fake news types propaganda with a percentage of 16%. Basically, fake news spread in online media is nothing but leading readers to certain opinions that are full of political interests.

Abstract

Penelitian tindakan (action research) ini dilakukan di Prodi PBSI dengan tiga siklus. Tahapan pada masing-masing siklus adalah (1) perencanaan, (2) pelaksanaan tindakan, (3) pengamatan, dan refleksi. Jenis datanya adalah data kuantitatif dan kualitatif serta perolehan data dilakukan dengan teknik observasi, wawancara mendalam, pembuatan jurnal catatan harian (dosen dan mahasiswa), dan tes pengukuran hasil belajar. Data dianalisis secara kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian ini diperoleh hasil bahwa mahasiswa dapat mengapresiasi dengan sistematis dan baik sehingga dapat melatih pola berpikir kritis mahasiswa. Hasil pembelajaran pada siklus I diperoleh hasil rata-rata nilai 78, kemudian pada siklus II menjadi 80. Pada siklus III diperoleh rata-rata nilai 83, sehingga rata-rata kelas mengalami kenaikan yang awalnya 72 (B) menjadi 81 (AB). Perubahan perilaku yang dapat dilihat dari hasil penelitian ini adalah berpikir kritis, kreatif, cerdas dalam menyelesaikan masalah, sopan dalam bertindak dan bertutur kata, jujur, bertanggung jawab, dan percaya diri. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa hasil penelitian tersebut dapat meningkatkan kemampuan mahasiswa dalam mengapresiasi puisi.

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to determine the quality of summative assessment tests in three modules of negotiation texts class X SMK at the vocational level. The quality of the questions is very influential on the results  of achieving the learning objectives of students as a basis for determining class increase or graduation from educational units. This research was conducted by analyzing (1) assessment qualifications in the module, (2) the level of difficulty of the questions, and (3) the cognitive level of the questions. The method used in this study is qualitative method with techniques by interviews and literature studies. The results showed that the application of summative assessment at SMKN 1 Bangil used more C4 reaching 50%. In addition, the difficulty level of the questions is categorized as good because the medium level has reached 50%. At SMKN 2 Purwosari shows more dominant use of C2 in the form of understanding of problems that have been learned in previous learning. This indicates the need for cognitive improvement in the problem to achieve balance. In addition, the difficulty level of the questions is categorized as good because the medium level has reached 50%. Furthermore, in the SMKN 2 Jepara module, more operational verbs use to apply (C3) and create (C6) which reaches a percentage of 26.7%. Through this analysis, there are several problems that have not been balanced in difficulty and cognitive levels and there needs to be reconstruction to achieve better student learning outcomes.

Abstract

Buku pengayaan sebagai buku pendamping pembelajaran yang dapat mengembangkan pengetahuan, keterampilan, dan kepribadian peserta didik. Berdasarkan hasil pengataman dilapangan, ditemukan bahwa pada dasarnya cerita fabel digemari oleh peserta didik terutama sekolah dasar. Sementara itu, terdapat kesenjangan yang terjadi dilapangan yaitu minimnya buku cerita fabel yang terdapat diperpustakaan khususnya pada tema yang diangkat dalam cerita fabel diperpustakaan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan buku pengayaan elektronik cerita fabel bermuatan profil pelajar pancasila elemen gotong royong sebagai media untuk literasi membaca di sekolah dasar. Model penelitian ini menggunakan ADDIE (Analysis-Design-Development-Implementation-Evaluation).Penelitian ini dilakukan di SDN Bendan Ngisor dengan jumlah 28 siswa. Validasi buku pengayaan elektronik dilakukan oleh 3 ahli yaitu ahli materi, ahli bahasa dan ahli media. Hasil penelitian meliputi tiga hal yaitu 1) deskripsi produk, 2) hasil uji kepraktisan dan 3) hasil uji keefektifan. Deskripsi produk didasarkan pada empat komponen yaitu komponen materi/isi, penyajian, bahasa dan grafika. Hasil uji kepraktisan peserta didik memperoleh persentase rata-rata 91,8% dan pendidik memperoleh memperoleh persentase 88%. Hasil uji keefektifan menggunakan pret-test dan post-test memperoleh hasil 62,2 % dengan kriteria cukup efektif.

Abstract

Students' speaking abilities in terms of communication are still minimal in the teaching and learning process. Sixth-grade students at SD Kentong, who are the highest-level students in the school, still exhibit reluctance to speak in front of the class. Some students are still shy when asked to speak and present their work. The aim of this research is to demonstrate the success of students in speaking skills through presentation methods. It aims to train sixth-grade students at SDN Kentong Cepu to confidently present their work in front of others. This study used a descriptive qualitative classroom action research design. The researcher was directly involved in the research process, participating in actions, observing, recording, and documenting events and incidents during the research. The study was conducted in two cycles, namely cycle 1 and cycle 2. Each cycle consisted of four activities: planning, action, observation, and reflection. The results of this study show an improvement in speaking skills, as indicated by the increase in the percentage of students who achieved the minimum completeness criteria (KKM) of 75. In cycle 1, the percentage of completeness from the total number of students (42) was 71.4%, while in cycle 2, it was 95.4%, exceeding the predetermined KKM. This research indicates that the application of presentation methods can improve the success of speaking skills among sixth-grade students at SDN Kentong. Teachers can implement presentation methods in teaching speaking skills to students to enhance their quality, and teachers should have a spirit of enthusiasm, always motivate students, and be creative in creating methods to stimulate students' enthusiasm in learning.
