Abstract

Listening comprehension is a crucial skill in EFL learning but often becomes a challenge due to limited vocabulary, varied accents, and fast speech. This research aimed to improve students’ listening comprehension by using the YouTube Easy English Channel as a digital learning medium. The study was conducted through Classroom Action Research (CAR) at SMP Negeri 9 Pontianak in the 2024/2025 academic year, involving 30 eighth-grade students. The research was carried out in two cycles consisting of planning, acting, observing, and reflecting. Data were collected using observation checklists, field notes, and listening comprehension tests. The findings revealed that students’ listening ability improved significantly after the implementation of YouTube videos. In Cycle I, the average score was 63, with only 13.33% of students achieving the minimum mastery criterion (KKTP = 78). After refinement in Cycle II, the average score increased to 85.33 and all students passed. The results showed that the Easy English Channel effectively enhanced students’ skills in identifying main ideas, supporting details, moral values, and vocabulary. It can be concluded that integrating YouTube videos into the classroom provides authentic and engaging learning experiences that help students improve their listening comprehension.

Abstract

This study evaluates the effectiveness of using the Busuu application to teach phrasal verbs to Class X MIA 3 students at SMAN 1 Sungai Raya. Employing a pre-experimental design, the research focused on 35 students from a population of 420. Data collection included pretests and post-tests, following a sequence of pre-test, treatment using the Busuu app, and post-test. Statistical analysis revealed that students"™ performance significantly improved after the treatment. The mean score increased from 67.51 in the pre-test to 79.65 in the post-test. A t-test result of 8.74 exceeded the critical value in the t-table, confirming a statistically significant difference. These results support the acceptance of the alternative hypothesis (Ha) and the rejection of the null hypothesis (H0), indicating that integrating the Busuu application as a teaching tool effectively enhances students"™ understanding of phrasal verbs. The study concludes that digital tools like Busuu can be a beneficial supplement in language instruction.

Abstract

The problem that is often felt by small MSMEs, such as sellers of fresh fruit juice drinks, is the shortage of ingredients which results in a lack of production. This is an obstacle in terms of linear programming models. To maximize production and production yields, there needs to be a method that can be used to increase production yields and reduce the number of raw material constraints on Mauza Jus. This study aims to determine the implementation of the simplkes method in determining the amount of profit in the fruit jur, in order to increase efficiency and optimal results in a system by applying the simplex method in solving optimization problems. By using the simplex method Mauza Jus can increase profits by up to 60%, this happens because Mauza Jus can determine the amount of production per day and does not experience any losses at all. The processing results are done in QM For Windows. In conclusion, Mauza Jus is getting a considerable increase in profits

Abstract

Abstract

Terapi diberikan selama ±15 menit.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of differentiated instruction on student learning outcomes in the subject of Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) for Grade IV at SD Negeri 247 Palembang. The background of this research is based on the low student achievement in the topic "Me and My Needs" and the suboptimal application of instructional strategies that address individual differences. Differentiated instruction is an approach that adapts the process, content, and product of learning based on students’ readiness, interests, and learning profiles. This study used a quantitative method with a quasi-experimental design, specifically the Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The sample consisted of 60 students selected through simple random sampling and divided into two groups: the experimental class (using differentiated instruction) and the control class (using conventional instruction). Data were collected through validated pretest and posttest essay-type questions. Data analysis was conducted using normality tests, homogeneity tests, and an Independent Sample T-Test with the help of SPSS version 26. The results showed that the average score of students in the experimental class increased from 40.67 to 71.27, while in the control class it increased from 28.8 to 55.00. The t-test showed a significance value of 0.001 < 0.05, indicating a significant difference between the two groups. Thus, it can be concluded that differentiated instruction has a positive and significant effect on student learning outcomes. This study recommends that teachers implement more differentiated instruction strategies to improve the quality of learning in elementary schools.
