Background: Limitations of data regarding risk factors that affect the incidence of leptospirosis in endemic areas make leptospirosis control in Leptospirosis endemic areas not effective. Therefore, a study is needed to determine the factors that influence the occurrence of Leptospirosis in an area.Methods: An observational analytic was conducted with case-control study design. The population in this study were all patients found at the Hospital in Pati Regency who showed clinical symptoms of Leptospirosis (fever >38 oC, severe headache, calf muscle pain, red/yellowish red eyes) and had a laboratory examination with Leptotek Lateral Flow and recorded on medical records. The sample in this study were 44 cases and 44 controls with consecutive sampling technique. Data were analyzed by chi-square and logistic regression.Results: Variables that influence the occurrence of leptospirosis are the characteristic of the non-ratproof house with OR = 3.14 (95% CI = 1.16-8.47), the existence of rats in and around the house with OR = 3.66 (95% CI = 1.67-12.28), the behavior of walking barefoot during outdoor activities with OR = 1.57 (95% CI = 1.31-10.28).Conclusion: Several factors that have been proven to have an effect on the occurrence of leptospirosis are the characteristic of the non-ratproof house, the existence of rats in and around the house and the behavior of walking barefoot during outdoor activities.

Background : Tuberculosis along with HIV is a major cause of death worldwide. Globally in2014, there were an estimated 9.6 million people get TB. Achievement conversion rate of TBin the province of Lampung based Riskesdas 2010 and 2013 experienced a sharp decline of90% in 2011 to only 38.1% in 2014 (National target> 85%). Internal and external factors are closely related to the incident, it is necessary to do in-depth study to determine the factors that influence the conversion failure of TB patients in the intensive phase of treatment.Methods : This research was analytic observational cohort design. The study population was patients with pulmonary tuberculosis in the city of Bandar Lampung starting treatment. The total sample of 126, the dependent variable was the incidence of failed conversion, independent variables are internal factors (positive gradation, BMI, hemoglobin levels and symptoms of anxiety of patients) and external factors (smoking, alcohol consumption and the role of health workers). Samples were obtained by exhaustive sampling.Results : AFB positive gradation (aRR=12,7; 95%CI: 3,580 to 45,539; p=0,000), the role ofhealth workers (aRR=9,8; 95%CI : 3,451 to 28,221; p=0,000) and consumption of alcoholic beverages (aRR=5,5; 95%CI : 1,927 to 15,566; p=0,001) proved to be a risk factor for conversion failure with probability event together amounted to 95.3%.Conclusion : The risk factors that affect the incidence of TB is conversion failure patients with 2+ and 3+ BTA gradation, alcohol consumption and the role of health workers.

Background : STI (Sexual Transmission Infection) resulted in sexual and reproductive health issues that affect women, especially among housewives, children and the poor. Factors that may affect the incidence of STIs covers all aspects of epidemiology: age, race, education, occupation, economic status, marital status, knowledge, attitudes and practices in the treatment of genital hygiene. PHC Bandarharjo with the incidence of STI is quite high of 50 cases in 2014 and 90% are housewives. This study aims to prove hygiene genital factors affect the incidence of STI in housewives.Methods : This study used a mixed methods where quantitative was as the main approach with case-control design. Total sample of 80 with a ratio of 1:1 (40 respondents each group), in PHC Bandarharjo. As the case is positive housewife STI and control is negative h ousewife STI after physically examined at the PHC and laboratories Bandarharjo. Data was analyzed by univariate, bivariate (chi-square) and multivariate (logistic regression), followed by in-depth-interviews.Results : The result show the factors are shown to affect the STI on the housewife is not wash the vagina before sexual intercourse (OR = 7.7; 95% CI 2.0 to 29.1; p = 0.002), vaginal douching (OR = 7, 7; 95% CI 2.0 to 29.1; p = 0.002), low family income <UMR (OR = 4.0;95% CI 1.4 to 14.3; p = 0.030).Conclusion : Risk factors influencing STIs to wards housewives are not wash the vagina before sexual intercouse, perform vaginal douching, family income <UMR

Background: Health protocols of COVID-19 prevention need to be applied to suppress the cases. However, the application requires good understanding that has never been studied before, especially among public health students of Diponegoro University. Therefore, this study investigated the knowledge, attitudes, and access to information towards prevention of COVID-19 pandemicMethods: This type of research was descriptive analytic with quantitative approach, and cross sectional research design with a sample of 100 respondents (student from Faculty of Public Health Diponegoro University) selected by using probability sampling. The instrument used was an online questionnaire. Data analysis used is univariate and bivariate with chi-square testResults: The results showed that the respondent's age was dominated by age ≥ 20 years (63%) with the gender mostly female (85%). Knowledge (p = 0.015), attitude (p = 0.013), and access to information (p = 0.000) were related to the practice of Public Health student in preventing COVID-19. Besides, access to information has a significant relation with the prevention practices and internet particularly social media is the source of information most accessed by student (89%).Conclusion: It is necessary to increase Public Health student awareness, mainly about the dangers of COVID-19, avoiding misinformation, and there required to be more surveillance for personal activities and communities that have the potential to be exposed to COVID-19.

This study aims to determine the factors that influence hypertensive patients in making efforts to prevent complications in the working area of the Tlogosari Wetan and Tlogosari Kulon Public Health Centers, Semarang City. The types and designs in this research include quantitative research designs and survey research types. Survey research is a research that looks for how a health phenomenon occurs. The results showed that statistical analysis using the Chi square test with sig.0.05 showed the results of p value 0.007 meaning p <0.05 so ho was rejected, so it was concluded that there was a relationship between self-efficacy and efforts to prevent hypertension patients from getting complications in the work area. Tlogosari Wetan and Tlogosari Kulon Public Health Centers, Semarang City, as well as the results of statistical analysis using the Chi square test with sig.0.05 shows p value 0.303 meaning p>0.05 so ho is accepted, so it can be concluded that there is no relationship between effectiveness response and patient prevention efforts. Virus dengue merupakan mikroorganisme yang sangat kecil hanya dapat dilihat dengan mikroskop elektron. Demi kelangsungan hidup, virus bersaing dengan sel manusia yang ditempati untuk kebutuhan protein. Penyakit demam berdarah dengue mengenai seseorang melalui gigitan nyamuk Aedes aegypti lebih tepatnya nyamuk betina dewasa, sebagian besar penderita sembuh dengan sendirinya, karena penyakit virus bersifat self limiting disease. Kenapa harus tetap diobati? Sebenarnya yang diobati adalah gejala yang timbul sebagai ‘akibat ulah’ virus seperti demam, syok, maupun perdarahan, oleh karena itu sampai sekarang belum ada obat yang dapat membunuh virus dengue. Tujuan dari edukasi kesehatan ini untuk memberikan pemahaman dan pengetahuan terkait demam berdarah dengue pada kader dan ibu-ibu meningkatkan PSN.Pelaksanaan kegiatan pada hari Jumat, 25 Februari 2022 di Balai RW 1 Kelurahan Pudakpayung, Kota Semarang. Metode yang digunakan adalah penyuluhan tatap muka, ceramah, tanya jawab, dan diskusi mengenai penyakit demam berdarah dengue. Kegiatan dapat berjalan baik dan lancar dan tanggapan kader serta warga sangat baik. Masyarakat merasa bahwa sebagai warga masyarakat dapat mengetahui atau memahami tentang pencengahan penyakit demam berdarah dengue.

Background: Teenagers who live on the streets are groups in a society prone to sexual violence and reproductive health risks. Sexually active street teenagers often engage in sexual activity in any place, change partners, and do not use contraceptives to prevent pregnancy and the risk of sexually transmitted diseases. Objective: This study aimed to analyze factors related to risky sexual behavior of street teenagers in Semarang. Methods: This study used a cross-sectional design with a research population of 10-18 years old street teenagers who became street teenagers assisted by the Social Office of Semarang. A sample of 81 teenagers was selected using the total population sampling technique. Data analysis used the Chi-square test and logistic regression with the 95% confidence level. Results: The study results found a significant correlation between age, parental status, permissive attitude, risky health behavior, friends’ attitude, and friends’ risky reproductive health behavior with the risky sexual behavior of street teenagers in Semarang City (p<0.05). Multivariate analysis showed that the variables of friends’ attitudes and friends’ risky behaviors had simultaneous effects on street teenagers’ risky sexual behavior. Street teenagers who had friends with permissive attitudes were more at risk of engaging in sexual behavior 13 times than those who did not have permissive friends. Street teenagers who had friends with high-risk sexual behaviors were also ten times more likely to have risky sexual behaviors than those who had friends with low-risk behaviors.Conclusion: This study concluded that the variable of friends’ attitude had the most significant influence on risky sexual behavior of street teenagers in Semarang. The efforts were necessary to establish peer-educators related to reproductive health education for street teenagers to reduce reproductive health risks.

Obesity is a condition due to the imbalance of calories in the body. Obesity which appears in adolescence tend to continue into adulthood, and until the elder years. The purpose of this study is to determine the influence of obesity risk factors in traffic police.Methods : The design used case-control. The number of respondents were 90, which consist of 45 cases and 45 controls, which were selected using simple random sampling. Bivariate data analysis used chi-square and multivariate used logistic regression.Results : Two variables that were significantly associated are excessive calorie intake rate (OR = 10.95 and 95% CI = 3.22 to 37.16) and lack of physical activity (OR = 3.78 and 95% CI = 1.04 to 13 ,66). If respondents possess both of the factors, chances for obesity will equal to ( 88 % ).Conclusion : Risk factors are excessive calorie intake rate and lack of physical activity. It is expected to increase the role of leaders and institutions involved in the promotion of healthy living and obesity prevention through socialization. Penerapan perilaku hidup bersih dan sehat pada tatanan rumah tangga di Indonesia pada tahun 2015, baru mencapai 55%. Padahal dari sisi perilaku per indikator idealnya diatas 80%. Faktor risiko timbulnya Penyakit Tidak Menular(PTM) antara lain karena gaya hidup seperti merokok, obesitas, inaktivitas, peminum alcohol dan narkoba. Lemahnya upaya preventif dan promotif dalam upaya kesehatan masyarakat (UKM) disebabkan salah satunya oleh distribusi tenaga promotif preventif di Puskesmas masih belum merata.. Keberadaan tenaga kontrak Promotor Kesehatan di Puskesmas diharapkan mampu menjawab kekurangan tenaga promotif preventif di Kabupaten Indramayu. Namun keberadaan mereka menjadi prokontra sehingga dapat berpengaruh pada kinerja dalam pelayanan promosi kesehatan di Puskesmas.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi kinerja tenaga kontrak promotor kesehatan dalam pelayanan promosi kesehatan Puskesmas di Kabupaten Indramayu. Jenis penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan rancangan studi cross sectional. Besar sampel adalah 35 orang. Analisis data secara univariat, bivariat dengan Chi square dan multivariat dengan regresi logistik. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa kinerja tenaga kontrak promotor kesehatan dalam pelayanan promosi kesehatan Puskesmas di Kabupaten Indramayu sebagian besar responden berkinerja tinggi (51,4%). Hasil uji statistic menunjukan bahwa terdapat hubungan antara pengetahuan (p=000), kemampuan diri (p=0,000), persepsi beban kerja (p=0,011), motivasi (p=0,010), imbalan (p=0,024) dan sarana prasarana (p=0,001) dengan kinerja tenaga kontrak promotor kesehatan dalam pelayanan promosi kesehatan Puskesmas di Kabupaten Indramayu. Faktor yang memiliki pengaruh paling kuat terhadap kinerja tenaga kontrak promotor kesehatan adalah faktor pengetahuan dengan nilai Odds Ratio (OR=17,84 95% CI=1,99-149,5) dan kemampuan diri (OR=17,36 95% CI=1,4-220). Rekomendasi pada penelitian ini adalah perlu adanya pelatihan e-learning dan in-house training, pembinaan tenaga kontrak, dan penyediaan sarana prasarana promosi kesehatan. Abstract The application of clean and healthy life behavior at household order in Indonesia in 2015, had just reached 55%. From the behavior side, where every indicator should be above 80% as the ideal one. The weakness of preventive and promotion effort in accordance with the community health efforts, one of the reasons is because the distribution of the health preventive and promotion agent into the community health centre is not all totally covered yet. The presence of the out-sourcing health promoter agent in the community’s health center is expected to be able to supply the lack of health preventive and promotion agent in Indramayu. However, their presence become pros and cons, which can influence to the performance in theservice of health promotion in community’s health centre. This research aimed to analyze the elements which influence their performance to carry out health promotion service in every community’s health centre in Indramayu. Type of observational study with cross sectional design.The population in this study amounted to 105 people, consisting of 35 contract workers, 35 heads of Puskesmas, and 35 co-workers contract workers.The sampling technique is purposive sampling in total population or saturated sampling, so the same sample size is 105 people. The data are analyzed by univariat, bivariat method with Chi square and multivariate with logistic regression. The results of this study indicate that the performance of health promotion contract workers in health promotion service of Puskesmas in Indramayu Regency most of the respondents are high performers (51.4%). Based on the test of Chi-Square, it shows that the elements related to the out-sourcing health promoter in carrying out the health champagne service at community’s health centre in Indramayu are knowledge (score p=000), self ability (p=0,000), duty perception (p=0,011), motivation (p=0,010), reward (p=0,024), means and infrastructures (0,001). The most influence factors to the performance to the out-sourcing health promoter in carrying out the health champagne service at community’s health centre are knowledge factor (p=0,009) with the OR score=17,84 95% CI=1,99-149,5.Therefore, as the recommendation, the training for the candidates of health promoters, e-learning, in-house training, and also the out-sourcing coaching as well, and providing means and infrastructures of health promotion.

Latar Belakang: Upaya meningkatkan cakupan pemberian ASI eksklusif sudah lama dilakukan namun keber-hasilan cakupan program masih rendah. Cakupan ASI eksklusif wilayah DKK Kabupaten Semarang tahun 2011 sebesar 20% masih dibawah target sebesar 80%. Pada tahun 2012 telah terbit Peraturan Pemerintah (PP) nomor 33 tentang Pemberian ASI Eksklusif yang diikuti dengan terbitnya Peraturan Menteri Kesehatan yang mengatur tentang donor ASI, penyediaan Ruang Laktasi di tempat kerja, sarana umum, tata cara penggunaan susu formula, dan tatacara pengenaan sanksi administratif bagi tenaga kesehatan dan penyelenggara fasilitas pelayanan kes-ehatan. Sanksi itu diberikan bertahap dari teguran lisan, tertulis, hingga pencabutan ijin.4 Tujuan: penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis system pengelolaan ruang laktasi di perusahaan swasta ditinjau dari aspek input, process dan output diwilayah kerja Dinas Kesehatan Kabupaten Semarang. Metode: Jenis penelitian adalah kualitatif yang disajikan secara deskriptif eksploratif melalui wawancara menda-lam. Pemilihan informan dengan cara purposive, pengambilan data melalui wawancara (indepth interview) pada in-forman utama adalah 5 penanggung jawab ruang laktasi di perusahaan swasta, dan informan triangulasinya yaitu 5 orang HRD perusahaan swasta, 5 orang karyawan bekerja yang menyusui, 1orang dari Ukesja Dinas Kesehatan Kabupaten Semarang. Data dikumpulkan dengan teknik wawancara mendalam. Analisis data menggunakan me-tode analisis isi (content analysis) Hasil: Hasil penelitian dari variabel input yaitu mengenai SDM, sudah memenuhi syarat minimal yaitu pendidikan terakhir Sarjana Kedokteran dan Diploma Keperawatan maupun Kebidanan. Sumber dana utama adalah murni dari masing-masing perusahaan swasta. Sarana prasarana disediakan murni dari perusahaan swasta. Pada pros-es ditemukan belum semua ruang laktasi membuat rencana tahunan. Simpulan: Pengorganisasian ruang laktasi perusahaan swasta belum semua mempunyai struktur organisasi yang jelas. Pelaksanaan kegiatan ruang laktasi belum semuanya berjalan dengan baik. Evaluasi dan supervisi sudah di-laksanakan secara rutin dari instansi terkait. Kegiatan integrasi belum semua ruang laktasi berjalan dengan baik.
