Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan keefektifan penerapan pembelajaran kontekstual dengan teknologi multimedia dalam meningkatkan penguasaan konsep dan pengembangan karakter siswa pada pokok bahasan fluida statis. Penguasaan konsep siswa meliputi ranah kognitif dan pengembangan nilai karakter siswa meliputi nilai disiplin, jujur, toleransi dan kreatifitas. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan menggunakan metode eksperimen dengan desain penelitian Nonequivalent Control. Populasinya adalah seluruh siswa kelas XI IPA SMA 1 Jekulo Tahun Pelajaran 2014/ 2015. Sampel diambil dengan teknik sampling purposive, kelas XI IPA 3 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas XI IPA 2 sebagai kelas kontrol. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan penguasaan konsep kelas eksperimen mempunyai nilai rata-rata 84,0. Dengan uji hipotesis t-test maupun uji gain menunjukkan bahwa penguasaan konsep kelas eksperimen lebih baik daripada kelas kontrol. Uji gain nilai karakter siswa menyimpulkan bahwa kelas eksperimen lebih baik dari pada kelas kontrol. Kesimpulannya bahwa penerapan pembelajaran kontekstual dengan teknologi multimedia efektif untuk peningkatan penguasaan konsep dan pengembangan karakter siswa. This research aim to determine the effectiveness of the implementation of contextual learning with multimedia technology in improving concept mastery and character development of students based on the subject of static fluid. Concept mastery of students include cognitive and development of character value includes the value of discipline, honesty, tolerance and creativity. This research was conducted using experimental methods research design Nonequivalent Control. The population is all high school students of group XI IPA 1 Jekulo academic year 2014/2015. The samples were taken with purposive sampling purposive, a group XI IPA 3 as the experimental group and group XI IPA 2 as the control group.The results of this research showed concept mastery of the experimental class has an average value of 84.0. The test with t-test hypothesis and the gain test showed that concept mastery of experimental group is better than the control class. The test of gain value characters students concluded that the experimental class is better than the control class. In conclusion that the implementation of contextual learning with multimedia technology effectively to increase the concept mastery and character development of students.

Abstract

Physical learning in schools is still teacher-centered without involving students’s role actively. Especially without supported by props of physics experiment in microscope’s optical instrument learning, make student uninterested and enthusiastic when following the lessons. The purpose of this work is to design props Digital Image Creator for Optical Microscope (Digicom) and to know its influence to student learning motivation. This work uses pre-experimental method with One-Shot Case Study design. The class is chosen purposively for a treatment. To find out the feasibility of design of props Digicom used feasibility test sheet by media expert, while data of student learning motivation got from questionnaire. Based on the results of this work, the percentage of feasibility test from media experts is 80% included in the criteria worthy. The average of questionnaire result of student learning motivation is 83,4% with very high criterion. Based on the results of research can be concluded that the design of props Digicom developed feasible use in learning and able to enhance student learning motivation.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui : (1) Kemampuan representasi diagram bebas benda siswa pada materi Hukum Newton (2) Kesulitan-kesulitan siswa dalam merepresentasikan diagram bebas benda pada materi Hukum Newton. Jenis penelitian yang dilakukan adalah penelitian mix method. Penelitian dilakukan melalui kegiatan tes tertulis dan  wawancara.  Kegiatan tes digunakan untuk memperoleh data kemampuan reresentasi diagram bebas benda yaitu berupa gambar diagram bebas benda. Kegiatan wawancara digunakan untuk memperoleh data kesulitan siswa dalam menggambarkan diagram bebas benda yaitu berupa uraian hasil wawancara. Subyek penelitian adalah siswa kelas X MIPA SMA Negeri 1 Kudus. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan representasi diagram bebas benda siswa termasuk dalam kategori Needs Improvement (butuh peningkatan). Kesulitan yang paling banyak dialami siswa dalam membuat diagram bebas benda adalah menentukan panjang vektor gaya yang bekerja pada benda.   This study aims to determine: (1) the students’s representation ability of free-body diagrams on Newton's Law material (2) the difficulties of students in representing the free-body diagrams on Newton's Law. The type of research conducted is mix method research. The research is done by test and interview. The test activity is used to obtain the data of representation ability of free-body diagrams in the form of free-body diagrams image. The interview activity is used to obtain the data of student difficulty in representing the free-body diagrams in the form of description of interview result. The subject of this research is the students of class X MIPA SMA Negeri 1 Kudus. The results showed that the students’s representation ability of free-body diagrams included in the category of Needs Improvement. The most difficulty experienced by students in making the free-body diagrams is to determine the length of the force vector that works on the object

Abstract

Pembelajaran berdasarkan kurikulum 2013 tidak hanya menekankan pada peningkatan kemampuan kognitif saja, tetapi juga peningkatan karakter peserta didik. Selain itu, pembelajaran IPA dianjurkan untuk disampaikan secara terpadu. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, diperlukan pengembangan bahan ajar yang komprehensif dan sesuai kebutuhan dalam pembelajaran. Bahan ajar mata pelajaran IPA dapat disusun dengan memadukan beberapa disiplin ilmu dan diintegrasikan dengan ayat-ayat Al-Quran. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui tingkat validitas, keterbacaan, dan respon peserta didik terhadap bahan ajar yang dikembangkan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Research and Development. Penilaian uji validitas dan respon peserta didik menggunakan lembar angket menggunakan skala Likert, sedangkan pada uji keterbacaan menggunakan uji tes rumpang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahan ajar sangat valid dengan rata-rata pada tiap indikator aspek sebesar 90,67%. Pada uji keterbacaan bahan ajar didapatkan rata-rata hasil sebesar 91% dengan kriteria mudah dipahami. Pada respon peserta didik didapatkan hasil mayoritas peserta didik menyatakan bahan ajar baik untuk digunakan. Maka, dapat disimpulkan bahwa bahan ajar sangat valid dengan tingkat keterbacaan mudah dipahami sehingga sangat layak dan baik untuk digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran.   Learning based on the curriculum of 2013 not only emphasizes to improve cognitive abilities, but also increase the character of students. In addition, science learning is recommended to be conducted in an integrated method. Based on this, it is necessary to develop a comprehensive learning and integrating character. science learning material can be compiled by combining several disciplines and integrated with the Al-Qur’an verses. The purpose of this research is to determine the level of validity, legibility, and student responses to the learning material. The research method used is Research and Development (R&D). Assessment of validity test and student's response using questionnaires using Likert scale, while the test legibility using hiatus test. The results showed that the learning material is valid on average for each indicator of aspect is 90.67%. In the learning material readability test obtained average score is 91% with easy to understand criteria. students' response resulted in the majority of students declaring learning material good for use. Thus, it is concluded that a valid learning material with a readability level is easy to understand so it is feasible and good to use in the learning process.

Abstract

Teaching materials used in schools are still limited to the presentation of concise material and short formulas so that students feel difficulties when solving problems related to life. Teaching materials based on I-SETS complemented characters presented in material related to aspects of Islam, science, environment, technology, and society as well as character values so students motivated to be more active, creative, and think critically in solving problems. The purposes of this research are determine the characteristics, feasibility, readability, and practicality of gravity teaching materials. The method used is Research and Development. The teaching materials produced have several characteristics based on 3 aspects, namely content, presentation, and language. The result of the feasibility test indicates that teaching material is suitable to used in learning with a percentage of 87.50%. The result of readability test indicates that teaching material is easily understood by students with a percentage of 86.66%. The result of operational field test show that teaching material is practical to used in learning with a percentage of 85.91%.

Abstract

Physics learning should optimize students' activities to practice critical thinking skills. But in practice learning has not yet facilitated the students to be able to think critically. Therefore, it is necessary to develop Activity Based Learning Program (PPBA) to improve students' critical thinking skill. This type of research is Research and Development with 4-D model, the procedure includes define, design, develop and disseminate. This research used three activity-based learning models that support the training of students? critical thinking skills, the three models are PBL, NHT, PjBL. The sample in this research is four classes of MIA X in SMA Negeri 1 Bergas. Data taken in the form of students' critical thinking skills with indicators analyzing arguments, asking and answering questions, considering whether the source can be trusted or not, inducing and considering the results of induction, making and determining the results of consideration, identifying assumptions, determining an action, interacting with others. To obtain the data, instruments were used in the form of pretest, posttest, validation sheet of lesson plan, and questionnaire. The results of the data obtained were analyzed by prerequisite test, N-gain test, and average calculation. The analysis results show that PPBA is very feasible to use with the percentage of appraisal of 85.9% and can improve students' critical thinking skill with average N-gain factor 0.65 with medium category. The biggest increase was contributed by PBL model with N-gain factor of 0.66 with medium category. PPBA got high response with score 3.2 from maximum score 4. Based on the result of analysis it can be concluded that PPBA is feasible and can improve students' critical thinking
