Abstract

This study aims to enhance the self-confidence of young children at Taman Kanak-Kanak Islam Ahsan in Jambi City through the application of role-playing methods. Based on initial observations conducted on January 15-19, 2024, it was found that aspects of self-confidence development, including self-belief, Tidak mudah putus asam, objectivity, responsibility, and rationality, were still underdeveloped. Among the 12 children observed, all showed a lack of self-confidence (100%), 10 children were less Tidak mudah putus asatic (80%), only 5 children demonstrated objectivity and responsibility (40% each), and 7 children displayed rational and realistic thinking (60%). This research employed Classroom Action Research (CAR) using the Kemmis & McTaggart model with a cycle-based approach involving planning, action, observation, and reflection. The results indicated that implementing the role-playing method effectively increased the children’s self-confidence. Throughout Cycles I and II, there was a noticeable increase in the number of children categorized as "Developing Well" and "Developing Very Well." By the second session of Cycle II, 75% of the children demonstrated positive developments in self-confidence aspects. These findings suggest that the role-playing method is not only effective in boosting self-confidence but also supports social and emotional growth in young children, positively impacting the quality of education at Taman Kanak-Kanak Islam Ahsan in Jambi City.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of environmental, social, and governance (ESG) performance on the financial performance of companies in Indonesia by considering innovation as a mediating variable and control variables, namely Earnings Per Share (EPS), Debt to Equity Ratio (DER), and Assets Growth. This study uses secondary data from annual reports and sustainability reports of companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The analysis used multiple regression, mediation analysis, and control variable testing. The results show that ESG values do not have a significant effect on Return on Assets (ROA), either directly or through innovation as a moderating variable. In addition, the control variables show that EPS, DER, and asset growth have a more dominant effect on ROA than ESG values. These findings indicate that the benefits of ESG on financial performance may not be visible in the short term. In contrast, the integration strategy of ESG and traditional financial indicators needs to be improved to produce a significant impact. This study provides important insights for corporate sustainability strategies in developing countries.

Abstract

This study aims to: (1) determine the effect of academic supervision on teachers’ ability to design IPAS learning at elementary schools in Mandalle District; (2) examine the effect of TPACK competence on teachers’ ability to design IPAS learning; and (3) analyze the simultaneous influence of academic supervision and TPACK competence on teachers’ ability to design IPAS learning. The research was conducted in elementary schools across Mandalle District from September to October 2025 using a quantitative approach and a causal-comparative (ex post facto) design. A total of 51 teachers were selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using a Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed using PLS-SEM with the SmartPLS application. The results indicate that: (1) academic supervision has a positive and significant effect on teachers’ ability to design IPAS learning (β = 0.168; T = 2.623; p = 0.009), although the effect size is categorized as small (f² = 0.071); (2) TPACK competence has a very strong and significant effect on teachers’ ability to design IPAS learning (β = 0.827; T = 14.299; p = 0.000) with a very large effect size (f² = 3.351), making it the dominant factor influencing lesson design quality; and (3) jointly, academic supervision and TPACK competence explain 85.5% of the variance in teachers’ ability to design IPAS learning, highlighting the importance of synergy between external guidance through supervision and internal teacher competence in mastering TPACK..

Abstract

Abstract Many factors contribute to low student mathematics learning outcomes, including the mismatch between the model used and the material used, as well as the learning media used. Teachers, as a key component in the teaching and learning process, must be skilled at utilizing models and media to ensure the success of the teaching and learning process. One of the recommended learning models for teachers to master is the PBL (Problem Based Learning) model. The PBL model prioritizes student activeness in critical thinking and always being skilled when faced with solving a problem. In addition to the appropriate learning model, supporting media are also needed in the mathematics learning process to create innovative and interactive learning, thereby maximizing learning outcomes. This community service aims to provide information about menstruation and complementary therapies, especially relaxation therapy to reduce anxiety and pain. There are four stages in implementing this education, namely the planning stage, preparation stage, implementation stage and monitoring and evaluation stage. There was an increase in students' knowledge after providing education. The results of this community service can show that providing education can increase students' knowledge.

Abstract

The background of this study is the importance of effective communication between schools and parents in supporting the education process and student development. Social media has become one of the popular and effective communication tools in conveying information quickly and widely. This study aims to determine the implementation of social media use policies in communication between schools and parents and supporting and inhibiting factors. The research method used is a qualitative approach with documentation techniques, observation and in-depth interviews with schools and parents. The results of the study show that the use of social media has provided many benefits in increasing the speed and efficiency of communication between schools and parents. However, there are several obstacles such as lack of response from some parents, limited internet access, and limited technological infrastructure. However, support from adequate technological infrastructure and active participation from parents can be the main supporting factors in the successful implementation of this policy.
