Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of different doses of vitamin E on the maturation of freshwater crayfish (Cherax quadricarinatus). The method used was a Randomized Block Design (RAK) with 4 treatments and 3 replications. The treatments in this study were P1 (control), P2 (vitamin E 150 mg/kg feed), P3 (vitamin E 300 mg/kg feed), and P4 (vitamin E 450 mg/kg feed). Parameters observed in this study were Gonad Maturity Index (GIC), fecundity, and egg diameter. The results of Duncan's analysis showed that the increasing vitamin E to feed was significantly different (P<0.05) with treatment without increasing vitamin E to LAT maturation such as gonadal maturity index, fecundity, and egg diameter. However, administering different doses of vitamin E (150 mg/kg of feed, 300 mg/kg of feed, and 450 mg/kg of feed) had no significant effect on LAT maturation. The treatment without the increasing vitamin E did not show maturity, which was indicated by the value of all parameters 0, while the treatment with the increasing vitamin E to the feed resulted in a range of IKG values, fecundity, and egg diameter respectively was 8.28 - 9.84%, 230.66 - 30.66 eggs and 0.46 - 0.48 mm. The best treatment in this study was treatment with a dose of vitamin E 450 mg/kg feed because it had the highest reproductive performance and could accelerate gonadal maturity in LAT.Keywords: Egg Diameter; Fecundity; Freshwater Lobster; Maturation; Vitamin E

Abstract

Freshwater lobsters have been developed as a commodity for consumption since 2003. The need for this commodity is increasing but production is still very low, so the price of freshwater lobsters is quite high and expensive. Therefore, it is necessary to carry out reproduction to carry out the seeding process for Freshwater Lobsters (LAT) using an injection technique in the form of the Ovaprim Hormone to accelerate the maturity of the LAT gonads. This study aims to examine the administration of different doses of the ovaprim hormone on the maturation of freshwater lobster broodstock. The research was conducted for 60 days. The method used was a Randomized Block Design (RAK) with 4 treatments and 3 replications. The treatments in this study were P0 (control), P1 (0,3 ml), P2 (0,5 ml) and P3 (0,7 ml). The parameters observed in this study were Gonad Maturity Index (IKG), Egg Diameter and Pleopode Fecundity. The results of the observations showed that giving different doses of ovaprim to the maturation of freshwater crayfish was not significantly different (P<0.05) to the Gonad Maturity Index IKG), Egg Diameter and Pleopode Fecundity but was significantly different to the P0 (control) treatment. The best treatment in this study was treatment P3 (0.5 ,l) because it had the highest performance between the other treatments. Keywords: egg diameter; fecundity; freshwater lobster; maturation; ovaprim

Abstract

Indonesia is one of the largest exporters of fresh and marine ornamental fish. However, several obstacles are faced by betta fish farmers, namely, such as poor colour quality, and low growth. There are various ways to improve colour quality, namely by adding pigment through feed. One of them is by utilizing purslane (Portulaca oleracea). This study aimed to analyse the effect of purslane plant extract (Portulaca oleracea) in increasing the brightness of the colour of betta fish (Betta sp.). The research method used in this study was a completely randomized design (CRD) method with 4 treatments 3 three replications. The treatments to be carried out were: P0 (100 g pellets), P1 (25 ml/100 g pellets), P2 (50 ml/100 g pellets) and P3 (75 ml/100 g pellets). Parameters observed: colour intensity, Absolute Length Growth, Absolute Weight Growth, and Survival rate (SR). The results of the study were that purslane extract from commercial pellet feed had a significant effect on the colour intensity of betta fish with a P3 dose of 75 ml/100 g pellet. In absolute length growth, the addition of purslane extract to commercial feed had a significant effect (p<0.05). For absolute weight growth and survival rate, no significant effect on betta fish. Keywords: Commercial Pellets; Purslane Extract; Siamese Fighting Fish

Abstract

Dodol Wizza is an MSME (micro, small and medium enterprise) which is engaged in making original dodol pulut (sticky rice). This MSME has several problems, including limited production frequency, products that do not vary and packaging that is less effective. For this problem, the service team provided a solution as an effort to develop Dodol Pulut Wizza MSMEs. The solutions offered to partners include a program to increase production frequency through the procurement of small capacity dodol making pans, as well as product and packaging innovation. From the two programs offered as a solution to partner problems, partners are now producing dodol at least once a month, whereas previously it was only once or twice a year. Mitra also has two variants of dodol, namely original dodol and sesame dodol as well as two packaging variations, namely 500 g packaging priced at 35 thousand rupiah and ready-to-eat packaging priced at 15 thousand rupiah.
