Abstract

This study is research and development. This study aims to obtain a practical HOTS-oriented module based on the implementation of the module and the response of teachers and students as practitioners. The research instruments used were module implementation observation sheets, teacher response questionnaires, and student response questionnaires. Practical data collection is carried out by providing implementation observation sheets to observers and response questionnaires are given to teachers and students. The results showed that the implementation of the module had an average score of 4.59 with the category carried out very well, the results of the teacher response questionnaire analysis had an average value of 4.58 with the practical category, and the results of the student response questionnaire analysis had an average value of 4.54 with the practical category. The conclusion of this study is that the HOTS-oriented module on biology material in the even semester of class X high school / MA developed has met the implementation criteria with the category of very well implemented and the response of teachers and students shows that the developed module is practically used in learning.

Abstract

Bakteri endofit merupakan bakteri yang terdapat pada jaringan tumbuhan yang tidak memberikan infeksi atau efek negatif pada tumbuhan inangnya. Bakteri endofit dapat ditemukan di berbagai jenis tumbuhan, terutama tumbuhan yang sering dijadikan tanaman obat. Salah satunya adalah mimba (Azadirachta indica A. Juss) yang memiliki empat senyawa kimia, yang berkhasiat sebagai obat, yakni azadiraktin, salannin, nimbinen, dan meliantriol. Bakteri endofit dapat menghasilkan komponen bioaktif yang sama dengan tumbuhan inangnya, sehingga berpotensi untuk dikembangkan dalam dunia kesehatan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menemukan bakteri endofit pada akar dan batang anaman mimba untuk mengetahui keragaman dan fisiologinya. Isolasi dilakukan pada media LG (Media selektif untuk Azotobacter dan mikroba penambat N-2 lainnya) dan media NA untuk mempertahankan kemurnian kultur bakteri. Hasil isolasi bakteri endofit dari akar dan batang tanaman mimba diperoleh tiga koloni berbeda dari akar dan tiga koloni dari batang. Keenam isolat diuji biokimia dan hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa keenam isolat tersebut adalah dari kelompok Azotobacter

Abstract

This study aims to find out about the extent to which students' creative thinking abilities, students' emotional intelligence, learning independence of class XI MIPA students at SMA Negeri 4 Bantaeng. As well as looking for whether there is a relationship and influence between the ability to think creatively with the independence of learning Biology students, the relationship between emotional intelligence and the independence of learning Biology students, the relationship between the ability to think creatively and emotional intelligence together with the independent learning of class XI MIPA SMA Negeri 4 Bantaeng in Bantaeng Regency South Sulawesi. This type of research is a quantitative research with ex post-facto type. The population in the study were all students of class XI MIPA at SMAN Negeri 4 Bantaeng in the 2021-2022 academic year, a total of 129 students. The research sample is 100 students using random sampling technique or random sampling. Data collection techniques are by questionnaire and essay test. Data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistical techniques. The results showed that (i) students' creative thinking skills were classified as moderate, (ii) students' emotional intelligence was classified as moderate (iii) students' science learning independence was in the moderate category, (iv) there was a relationship between creative thinking ability and student learning independence in class XI MIPA SMA Negeri 4 Bantaeng. (v) there is a relationship between emotional intelligence and learning independence of class XI MIPA students of SMA Negeri 4 Bantaeng. (vi) there is a relationship between creative thinking and emotional intelligence on the learning independence of class XI MIPA students of SMA Negeri 4 Bantaeng.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the differences in motivation and learning outcomes through the cooperative learning model types Two Stay Two Stray (TSTS) and Group Investigation (GI) among grade X students at SMAN 2 Bulukumba. The type of research used is Quasi-Experimental with a Nonequivalent Control Group design. The sampling technique used in this study is purposive sampling. The sample of this study consists of 2 classes: class X8 the experimental class I using the Two Stay Two Stray cooperative learning model, and class X9 the experimental class II using the Group Investigation cooperative learning model. The study results show that (1) Based on the hypothesis test with t-test, the results show that the t-value of 2.138 is greater than the t-table value of 1.995, or 2.138 > 1.995, and with a Sig. (2-tailed) value of 0.029, which is smaller than 0.05 or 0.029 < 0.05. From these data, it can be concluded that there is a difference in students' learning motivation through the Two Stay Two Stray learning model compared to the Group Investigation learning model. (2) Based on the hypothesis test with t-test, the results show that the t-value of 0.106 is less than the t-table value of 1.995, or 0.106 < 1.995, and the Sig. (2-tailed) value of 0.916 is greater than 0.05, therefore, it can be concluded that there is no difference in students' learning outcomes through the Two Stay Two Stray learning model compared to the Group Investigation learning model.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the influence of emotional intelligence, learning independence, and critical thinking abilities on learning outcomes for high school students in Pallangga District. This type of research uses ex-post facto research. This research was carried out in January-February 2024 at SMA Negeri Pallangga District. The population in this study were all students in class XI Science at State High Schools in Pallangga District for the 2023/2024 academic year consisting of 2 schools. The sampling technique used in this research is stratified random sampling. The total sample used was 236 students. The research results include: (1)There is an influence of emotional intelligence on the critical thinking abilities of class XI SMAN students in Pallangga District; (2)There is an influence of emotional intelligence on the learning outcomes of class XI SMAN students in Pallangga District; (3)There is an influence of independent learning on the critical thinking abilities of class XI SMAN students in Pallangga District; (4)There is an influence of independent learning on the learning outcomes of class XI SMAN students in Pallangga District; (5)There is an influence of critical thinking skills on the learning outcomes of class XI SMAN students in Pallangga District; (6)There is an indirect influence of emotional intelligence on learning outcomes through the critical thinking abilities of Class XI SMAN students in Pallangga District; (7)There is an indirect influence of learning independence on learning outcomes through the critical thinking skills of Class XI SMAN students in Pallangga District.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine the application of the Targeted Sequencing method for various types of cancer. This research uses a literature review method, involving the collection, analysis, and synthesis of relevant scientific sources to answer the research question. The results of the study, based on the literature approach, indicate that Targeted Sequencing is an alternative for detecting and identifying cancer, making it easier to determine appropriate treatments and therapies. Targeted Sequencing has significant potential in the personalization of cancer treatment. However, challenges such as tumor heterogeneity, panel limitations, high costs, and clinical validation need to be addressed to ensure maximum benefits for patients. Collaboration among genomic experts, clinicians, and researchers is necessary to overcome these obstacles.

Abstract

Program Pengabdian Masyarakat ini dilaksanakan pada bulan September 2024 di Laboratorium Sekolah SMA 1 Kabupaten Takalar, Sulawesi Selatan, dengan sasaran utama Guru MGMP Biologi dan IPA. Metode yang digunakan mencakup penyampaian teori, demonstrasi, latihan pembuatan media tumbuh, sterilisasi media, isolasi, serta diskusi dan sesi tanya jawab. Penyampaian teori bertujuan untuk memberikan pemahaman dasar mengenai praktikum Mikrobiologi. Demonstrasi dilakukan agar peserta dapat mengamati langsung prosedur dan tahapan sterilisasi serta pembuatan medium tumbuh menggunakan bahan dan alat yang murah dan mudah didapatkan disekitar sekolah. Praktik dimaksudkan agar peserta memperoleh keterampilan dalam melaksanakan proses kerja pembuatan media tumbuh mikroba. Diskusi dan sesi tanya jawab dirancang untuk mengatasi masalah yang muncul selama penyampaian teori dan kegiatan praktik. Berdasarkan kegiatan ini, dapat disimpulkan bahwa pelatihan ini berhasil meningkatkan pemahaman dan keterampilan guru dalam melaksanakan praktikum pembuatan media kultur mikroba menggunakan bahan dan peralatan sederhana dengan biaya rendah. Program ini membekali guru-guru dengan keterampilan untuk melaksanakan praktikum dengan mudah di laboratorium sekolah. Hasil pelatihan menunjukkan bahwa guru-guru peserta pelatihan mampu membuat media tumbuh mikroba serta memahami prinsip dasar pembuatan media dan isolasi mikroba. Kegiatan ini mampu meningkatkan minat dan pemahaman guru dalam merancang praktikum mikrobiologi menggunakan peralatan dan bahan yang ada di laboratorium sekolah dengan biaya yang sangat murah.

Abstract

AbstrakKusta merupakan penyakit menular yang bersifat akut dan kronik yang disebabkan oleh bakteri Mycobacterium leprae yang bersifat intraseluler obligat. Penyakit kusta menjadi masalah baik di dunia maupun di Indonesia. Kurangnya pengetahuan mengakibatkan minimnya informasi penyakit kusta. Ketidaktahuan masyarakat tentang pendeteksian dini dan pencegahan cacat kusta membuat jumlah penderita kusta meningkat. Pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan masyarakat mengenai penyakit kusta dan memotivasi masyarakat untuk menjaga pola hidup bersih dan sehat. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan di salah satu puskesmas yang ada di Kota Makassar yaitu Puskesmas Dahlia yang pesertanya berasal dari pasien puskesmas sebanyak 20 orang. Metode yang dilakukan dalam pelaksanaan pengabdian ini adalah berupa kegiatan penyuluhan secara satu arah. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat dengan dilakukannya penyuluhan penyakit kusta memberikan dampak positif kepada pasien puskesmas dahlia. Penyampaian materi pada pelatihan ini dilakukan secara klasikal, semua peserta mengikuti materi yang disampaikan dengan cara ceramah dan kegiatan sesi tanya jawab. Kesimpulan yang didapat dari kegiatan ini yaitu peserta dapat merasakan manfaat dengan menambah pengetahuan mengenai penyakit kusta dan cara pencegahannya. Semua peserta penyuluhan sangat antusias dan penuh semangat mengikuti mulai awal pelatihan hingga akhir. Kata kunci: Penyuluhan, Kusta, Puskesmas Dahlia  Abstract Leprosy is an acute and chronic infectious disease caused by the obligate intracellular bacterium Mycobacterium leprae. Leprosy is a problem both in the world and in Indonesia. Lack of knowledge has resulted in a lack of information on leprosy. Public ignorance about early detection and prevention of leprosy defects has increased the number of leprosy sufferers. This community service aims to increase community knowledge about leprosy and motivate the community to maintain a clean and healthy lifestyle. This activity was carried out at one of the health centers in Makassar City, namely Puskesmas Dahlia, with 20 participants from the health center patients. The method used in the implementation of this service is in the form of one-way counseling activities. Community service activities with leprosy counseling have a positive impact on patients of the Dahlia Health Center. The delivery of material in this training was carried out classically, all participants followed the material presented by means of lectures and question and answer sessions. The conclusion obtained from this activity is that participants can benefit by increasing their knowledge about leprosy and how to prevent it. All counseling participants were very enthusiastic and eager to participate from the beginning of the training to the end. Keywords: Counseling, Leprosy, Dahlia Health Center

Abstract

Abstrak Permasalahan yang dihadapi oleh mitra pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah rendahnya produktivitas tambak baik ikan maupun udang. Sistem pengelolaan masih tradisional. Pengetahuan dan pemahaman serta keterampilan sistem budidaya secara intensif masih kurang. Tujuan pelatihan ini adalah memberi pemahaman, pengetahuan dan keterampilan dalam sistem budidaya ikan dan udang secara intensif. Metode pelatihan yang diterapkan adalah memberikan ceramah, diskusi dan demostrasi terkait sistem budidaya secara intensif meliputi pemilihan sumber air, pemilihan bibit, pengelolaan dan pemeliharaan sistem budidaya, manajemen penggunaan pakan buatan, strategi pengelolaan air selama budidaya, pengukuran dan pengamatan kualitas air serta parameter pertumbuhan hewan budidaya, pengendalian penyakit. Hasil pengabdian menunjukkan bahwa seluruh peserta pelatihan penuh antusiasme dan semangat mengikuti pelatihan mulai dari awal hingga akhir. Peserta pelatihan telah memahami dan mengerti serta mendapatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan terkait sistem budidaya ikan dan udang secara intensif dan segala kelebihan kekuangan. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari pertanyaan-pertanyaan yang diberikan oleh Tim Dosen sebagai instruktur pelatihan dari Jurusan Biologi FMIPA,UNM. Mereka juga sudah memiliki pengatahuan dan teknik budidaya secara intensif berbasis teknologi bioflok dan gejala penyakit yang timbul akibat serangan bakteri dan virus pada hewan budidaya seperti ikan dan udangKata kunci: Sistem Budidaya Intensif, Teknologi Bioflok, Kualitas Air, FitoplanktonAbstractThe problem faced by this community service partner is the low productivity of both fish and shrimp ponds. The management system is still traditional. Knowledge and understanding and skills of intensive aquaculture systems are still lacking. The purpose of this training is to provide understanding, knowledge and skills in intensive fish and shrimp farming systems. The training method applied was to provide lectures, discussions and demonstrations related to intensive aquaculture systems including water source selection, seed selection, management and maintenance of aquaculture systems, management of artificial feed use, water management strategies during aquaculture, measurement and observation of water quality and growth parameters of cultured animals, disease control. The results of the service showed that all training participants were enthusiastic and eager to participate in the training from the beginning to the end. The trainees have understood and gained knowledge and skills related to intensive fish and shrimp farming systems and all the advantages and disadvantages. This can be seen from the questions given by the Lecturer Team as training instructors from the Department of Biology FMIPA, UNM. They also have knowledge and techniques of intensive cultivation based on biofloc technology and symptoms of diseases that arise due to bacterial and viral attacks on cultured animals such as fish and shrimp.Keywords: Intensive Cultivation System, Biofloc Technology, Water Quality, Phytoplankton

Abstract

Tujuan dari pelatihan ini yaitu melatihkan pembuatan Quick Response (QR) Code bagi guru IPA UPT SPF SMP Negeri 13 Makassar. Pelatihan ini diharapkan mampu menambah pengetahuan guru IPA UPT SPF SMP Negeri 13 Makassar dalam mengaplikasikan QR Code untuk pembelajaran di kelas ataupun di luar kelas. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan dengan tatap muka secara langsung di ruangan multimedia UPT SPF SMP Negeri 13 Makassar melalui metode ceramah, diskusi, demonstrasi, tanya jawab dan praktek langsung pembuatan QR Code. Kegiatan pelatihan ini berjalan sesuai rencana dan arahan, para peserta mengikuti pelatihan dari tiga narasumber. Kegiatan pertama adalah sosialisasi sebagai pengenalan QR Code, kedua adalah simulasi/demontrasi cara pembuatan QR Code, ketiga pendampingan pembuatan QR Code dan terakhir adalah evaluasi. Peserta pelatihan memberikan respons yang positif terhadap pelatihan yang diberikan
