Abstract

This study aims to capture students' skills in composing and decomposing plane figures using geostick media within the framework of the Indonesian Realistic Mathematics Education (PMRI) approach. Geosticks were chosen as a teaching aid due to their ability to concretely visualize geometric shapes, making it easier for students to understand abstract concepts. This research employs a descriptive qualitative method involving direct observation of students' skills in assembling and disassembling plane figures. The findings reveal that geostick media can enhance third-grade students' skills in composing and decomposing plane figures. However, some students encountered difficulties in forming more complex shapes, which required additional guidance from the teacher. Overall, this study indicates that contextual learning media, such as geosticks within the PMRI approach, can improve third-grade students' skills in composing and decomposing plane figures.

Abstract

The low learning outcomes of students in natural and social science subjects (IPAS) can be caused by the use of ineffective learning methods. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of experimental methods on the learning outcomes of IPAS on the topic of discussion of the form of substances and their changes. The research subjects consisted of 21 students who were fourth grade students of SD Negeri Mangunrejo 2. The research was designed quantitatively with a one group pretest-posttest model. The research instruments used were observation and learning outcome tests given before and after the experimental method treatment in IPAS learning. Data were analyzed using statistical tests to determine significant differences between pretest and posttest results. The average pretest result was 57.62. After the experimental method treatment in IPAS learning has increased. The average posttest score was 78.81. These results show that the experimental method is effectively able to improve student learning outcomes on the concept of the form of substances and their changes. Thus, the application of experimental methods has been effective in improving student learning outcomes in natural and social science subjects (IPAS). The experimental method is a learning method that directs students to carry out experiments independently so that students are able to experience and prove themselves about what they are learning. . In addition to improving student learning outcomes, it can also create contextual learning that is student-centered, meaningful, more active and fun.

Abstract

The use of bar chart boards is an effort to implement data presentation learning with the use of media as an aid. The main objective of this study is to implement bar chart board media based on Realistic Mathematics Education (PMR) to improve students' understanding in presenting data, as well as to encourage students' skills in presenting data accurately, completely, and clearly. The research method used is qualitative narrative with data collection techniques in the form of observation, interviews, and documentation. The subjects of this study involved students and teachers at SD Gondang Manis 01. Data were collected through various techniques, namely observation by observing student interactions with learning media and the role of teachers in classroom management, in addition we also use interview techniques with students and teachers to dig deeper into their experiences and perceptions. Thus, it is expected to be known to what extent the use of bar chart board media can help students understand statistical concepts and improve data presentation skills

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the use of the PMRI (Indonesian Realistic Mathematics Education) approach with the help of character net media in mathematics learning. PMRI is known as an approach that connects mathematics learning with real world contexts to improve students' understanding and abilities. Character web media is used to help students understand mathematical concepts visually and concretely, as well as to increase interaction and collaboration between students. This research was carried out at SDN Karangbener 2. The sample in this research was class 2, consisting of 10 students, namely 5 boys and 5 girls. This research is a type of qualitative research using research methods, namely descriptive qualitative. The data collection techniques used were documentation, interviews and observation. The data analysis process was carried out qualitatively interactively. The results of the research show that the use of PMRI assisted by character net media can increase students' understanding of spatial building material, especially cube and block building.

Abstract

This research aims to explore the learning trajectory of data analysis in the Fase A class using the case study or action research method in the context of traditional food from cassava with the PMRI (Indonesian Realistic Mathematics Education) approach. The focus of this research is on the diversity of traditional foods made from cassava. The research method used is action research which involves Fase A class students in understanding and analyzing data related to traditional food that uses cassava as the main ingredient. Through the PMRI approach, students are encouraged to understand not only the mathematical aspects of the data, but also the cultural aspects and local wisdom related to the food. The results of this research indicate that by applying PMRI in teaching, students can be more actively involved in collecting, analyzing and interpreting data about traditional cassava food. They learn how to convert quantitative information into a deeper qualitative understanding of the rich culture around them
