Abstract

The use of picker wheel learning media is one of the effective and innovative ways in learning. Picker Wheel is one of the learning media that uses a spinning wheel game to determine the next activity in the learning process. This study aims to determine the effect of using Picker Wheel learning media on the Learning Outcomes of Reading Fairy Tales in the Indonesian Language Subject of Grade III Students of SD Inpres Sarite'ne Bontomarannu District, Gowa Regency. This study uses the Pre-Experimental One Group Pretest Posttest research method. The population in this study were grade III students of SD Inpres Sarite'ne. The sampling technique used was Total Sampling. The instrument used was a test instrument in the form of multiplechoice questions. The data collection techniques used were tests, documentation. The data analysis technique used was a descriptive analysis technique which included descriptive statistics and n-gain tests, and inferential analysis techniques which included normality tests and hypothesis tests. Based on the results of the study, it showed that the learning outcomes of 40 students after the use of learning media, the average pretest score of 45.75 increased to 88.5. N-Gain analysis shows an average value of 0.788 in the high category. Analysis of hypothesis test data shows a sig value of 0.003> 0.05 and t count> t table, namely 3.148> 2.206. Based on the results obtained, H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. It can be concluded that the use of picker wheel media has an effect on the learning outcomes of reading fairy tales in the Indonesian Language subject of grade III students of SD Inpres Sarite'ne, Bontomarannu District, Gowa Regency.

Abstract

This study aims to improve students' speaking skills through the role playing method for fourth-grade students at UPT SPF SD Inpres Bontomanai, Makassar City. The research method used is Classroom Action Research (CAR) with 24 student subjects. Data was collected through speaking tests, observations, and documentation. The results indicate that the average speaking skill score increased from 68.24 at baseline to 74.33 in cycle I, and reached 82.79 in cycle II. The percentage of students achieving mastery also improved, from 58.33% in cycle I to 91.66% in cycle II. This shows that the role playing method not only enhances speaking skills but also boosts students' confidence and active participation in learning. The study concludes that the application of the role playing method is effective in improving the speaking skills of fourth-grade students.

Abstract

Efforts to Improve Short Story Writing Skills Through Problem-Based Learning Models in Fifth Grade Students of SD Inpres Boronguntia, Gowa Regency. The main problem in this study is how to apply the Problem-Based Learning model in improving the short story writing skills of fifth grade students of SD Inpres Boronguntia, Gowa Regency. This study aims to improve short story writing skills with the Problem-Based Learning model in fifth grade students of SD Inpres Boronguntia, Gowa Regency. The results of the study showed that in the first cycle individually out of 16 students only 7 students or 43.75% met the Learning Objective Completion Criteria (KKTP) or were in the very low category. Classically it had not been met because the average value obtained was 66.56%. While in the second cycle of 16 students as many as 14 people or 87.5% had met the KKTP and classically it had been met, namely the average value obtained was 81.06% or was in the high category. Based on the results of the study above, it can be concluded that the short story writing skills of fifth grade students of SDN Boronguntia, Gowa Regency through the application of the Problem Based Learning model have increased.

Abstract

The main issue in this study is how to improve the reading skills of second-grade students at UPT SD Negeri 107 Inpres Kunjung, Takalar Regency, through the use of alphabet flashcards. This study aims to improve the reading skills of second-grade students at UPT SD Negeri 107 Inpres Kunjung, Takalar Regency, through the use of alphabet flashcards. This study is a classroom action research consisting of two cycles, with each cycle conducted over four meetings. The research procedure included planning, implementation of actions, observation, and reflection. The subjects in this study were 26 second grade students at UPT SD Negeri 107 Inpres Kunjung, Takalar Regency. The results showed that in cycle I, only 7 or 27% of the 26 students individually met the learning achievement criteria (KKTP) or were in the low category. Classically, the criteria were not met because the average score was 57.6%. Meanwhile, in cycle II, 23 out of 26 students, or 88%, met the KKTP, and classically, the average score obtained was 82.3%, which was in the very high category. Based on the above research results, it can be concluded that the Indonesian language learning outcomes of second-grade students at UPT SD Negeri 107 Inpres Kunjung, Takalar Regency, through the use of alphabet flashcards have improved. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan jenis-jenis tindak tutur direktif guru dan siswa dalam pembelajaran dan mendeskripsikan makna pragmatik tindak tutur direktif pada interaksi guru dan siswa dalam pembelajaran kelas V SDN 191 Inpres Paku Kabupaten Takalar tahun ajaran 2022/2023. Metode penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan tujuan untuk mendapatkan deskripsi objektif tentang tuturan guru dan siswa dalam interaksi belajar mengajar di kelas V SDN 191 Inpres Paku Kabupaten Takalar. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teknik simak bebas libat cakap, dan teknik catat. Teknik pengumpulan data tersebut digunakan peneliti untuk memperoleh data yang lengkap mengenai jenis tindak tutur direktif. Data yang diperoleh penelitian ini berjumlah 46 tuturan. Dari 46 tuturan memiliki 6 jenis tindak tutur direktif: jenis tindak tutur direktif pertanyaan, perintah, nasihat, permintaan, larangan, dan pemberian izin. Adapun makna pragmatik yang ditemukan sebagai berikut makna mengajak, mengingatkan, menyuruh, mengkritik, mengarahkan, menganjurkan, menyindir, memohon, membujuk, mendesak, dan menegur. Hasil penelitian ini membuktikan bahwa setiap komunikasi antara penutur dan mitra tutur akan berhasil jika mitra tutur mampu memahami maksud atau makna yang disampaikan oleh penutur. Keberhasilan mitra tutur dalam menangkap maksud atau makna dapat dipahami dengan melihat situasi konteks tuturan tersebut berlangsung. Pemahaman konteks situasi tuturan dari pihak penutur maupun mitra tutur dapat mengurangi adanya salah tafsir dari maksud tuturan.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of the Culturally Responsive Teaching (CRT) approach in teaching narrative texts based on local traditions and Islamic values ​​at SMP Negeri 26 Makassar. The problem raised is students' lack of understanding of materials relevant to their local culture and religion, which leads to low engagement in learning. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques in the form of observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. Data were obtained directly from one Indonesian language teacher and the eighth-grade students involved in the learning. The results show that the implementation of CRT can increase student engagement, strengthen cultural identity, and improve students' understanding of narrative texts containing local and Islamic values. Although challenges such as limited time and resources were encountered, this approach proved effective in bridging the gap between learning materials and students' cultural realities. This study provides theoretical contributions to the development of a more contextual CRT in Indonesia. It offers practical recommendations for teachers and policymakers to integrate local and religious values ​​into the education curriculum. However, this study has limitations in terms of location and time coverage, which opens opportunities for further research with a broader sample, sustainable educational tourism, enhancing community empowerment, and supporting rural development.

Abstract

This study focuses on modeling organizational agility based on a synthetic construct, namely automatic patch work behavior, which is proposed, conceptualized, and confirmed by theoretical validation, empirical validation, and nomological validation. The research model involved 219 respondents from the Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS) employees in West Sulawesi Province through cluster sampling techniques accompanied by eligible control of inclusion and exclusion samples, data were obtained using an e-questionnaire in December 2024. Structural equation modeling analysis confirmed that this study was able to present theoretical contributions in the field of strategic human resource management by positioning automatic patch work behavior as a new and meaningful entity and impacting that automatic patch work behavior allows for linking work behavior to organizational agility in an era of environmental uncertainty. Practical implications were identified through the ability of automatic patch work behavior directly or through the mediation of employees' dynamic capabilities and employee agility to encourage increased organizational agility. The locus of this research was conducted in government agencies, but this research model can also be replicated in business companies, so that employee characteristics (including automatic patch work behavior) in various workplaces in their contribution to organizational sustainability (including organizational agility) can be confirmed more comprehensively and represented, and equipped with ideas and research models that are always updated.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of digital upskilling in shaping loyalty and reducing turnover of generation z. Generation Z is known to be adaptive to technology and has high expectations for self-development, so companies need to respond through digital upskilling programs. This study used a descriptive qualitative approach with purposive sampling technique, involving 9 generation Z participants aged 22-28 years old who had participated in digital training. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews and analyzed thematically. The results showed that (1) digital upskilling is perceived as a form of corporate concern for employee development; (2) self-development opportunities increase loyalty through emotional attachment; and (3) the absence of training creates a feeling of stagnation that triggers turnover intentions. These findings reinforce Social Exchange Theory, where reciprocal relationships between companies and employees play a role in creating loyalty. The research recommends that companies make digital upskilling an ongoing program with flexible methods such as e-learning, and link it to career paths to retain generation Z talent.

Abstract

The limited number of studies on the effectiveness of local wisdom-based comic media in improving students’ narrative writing skills forms the background of this research, despite its significant impact on the quality of Indonesian language instruction in elementary schools. This study aims to examine the effectiveness of using comic media based on local wisdom in enhancing the narrative writing skills of third-grade students at UPT SPF SD Inpres Minasa Upa. A quantitative method with a true experimental design was employed, involving 48 students selected from a population of 73 using random sampling techniques. Data were collected through narrative writing skill tests and student activity observation sheets, and analyzed using both descriptive statistics (mean, percentage, and standard deviation) and inferential statistics via the Independent Samples t-Test. The results show that local wisdom-based comic media is effective in improving narrative writing skills, as indicated by the experimental group’s posttest mean score of 19.46 (equivalent to 84.61), which was higher than the control group's score of 17.46 (equivalent to 79.36). The t-test yielded a value of t = 2.860 with sig. (2-tailed) = 0.006 < 0.05, thus supporting the alternative hypothesis. The main conclusion of this study is that comic media rooted in local wisdom is proven effective in enhancing students' narrative writing skills. The implications include theoretical contributions to the study of culturally based learning media and practical recommendations for teachers to develop engaging, contextual teaching tools. The study also opens avenues for future research on other language skills using similar approaches.

Abstract

The main problem discussed in this study is the use of language in advertising media as a form of using Indonesian in public spaces. Through promotion through advertising, a product can be known by the public and this is the purpose of an advertised product. The approach used in this study is a qualitative approach, namely research that produces descriptive data in the form of spoken or written words from people or observed behavior. The described aspect is the result of an analysis of the use of vulgar language and the meaning contained in each advertisement. Based on an analysis of several advertised products, both on electronic media (television) and on social media, it is evident that erotic word choices are used in advertising media. AbstrakMasalah utama yang dibahas dalam penelitian ini adalah pemakaian bahasa di media iklan sebagai salah satu bentuk pemakaian bahasa Indonesia di ruang publik. Melalui promosi lewat iklan, sebuah produk dapat dikenal oleh masyarakat dan inilah yang menjadi tujuan sebuah produk diiklankan. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kualitatif yakni penelitian yang menghasilkan data deskriptif berupa kata-kata lisan atau tertulis dari orang atau prilaku yang diamati. Aspek yang dideskripsikan adalah hasil analisis pemakaian bahasa vulgar dan makna yang terkandung dalam setiap iklan. Berdasarkan hasil analisis terhadap beberapa produk yang diiklankan, baik di media elektronek (televisi) maupun di media sosial terbukti bahwa pilihan kata yang bersifat erotis digunakan dalam media iklan.
