Abstract

This study examines the effect of puzzle media on the interest in learning mathematics of grade III students at State Elementary School 36 Palembang in the even semester of the 2024/2025 academic year. The objects of this study were 40 grade III students. This study applied an experimental method with an experimental class that received treatment using puzzle media and a control class that applied conventional methods. Information was obtained through initial tests (pretest) and final tests (posttest) using questionnaires and basic questions. The results of the descriptive statistical analysis indicated that the average value of learning interest in the experimental group increased from 63.50 (pretest) to 83.35 (posttest), while the control group only increased from 65.00 (pretest) to 70.10 (posttest). The Shapiro-Wilk normality test showed that all data, both pretest and posttest in both groups, were normally distributed (Sig. value> 0.05). The Levene's Test homogeneity test also showed that the data variance was consistent (Sig. value> 0.05). Hypothesis testing with Paired Samples T-Test in the experimental group showed a significant difference between the pretest and posttest scores (Sig. 0.000 <0.05). Meanwhile, the Independent Sample T-Test comparing the posttests of the two groups showed a significant difference with a significance value of 0.000 (p <0.05), where the posttest score of the experimental group was significantly higher. Thus, it can be concluded that the use of puzzle media has a positive and significant impact on increasing the interest in learning mathematics of grade III students at State Elementary School 36 Palembang compared to learning without using media. Puzzle media has proven effective in attracting students' interest, training logical thinking skills, counting skills, and creating a fun learning environment.

Abstract

Interaction between students, teachers, and learning materials in a classroom setting constitutes the process of learning. The system that makes up the learning environment is made up of teachers, students, learning materials, strategies, and tools. Therefore, the following is the goal of increasing learning: Increasing student learning outcomes in the area of area and perimeter of flat buildings through the implementation of the drill method in the mathematics learning process. There were twenty pupils in class IV at SD Cita Hati Surabaya, nine of them were male and eleven of whom were female, working on the repairs. The examination and discussion of the aforementioned challenges yielded results that demonstrate how teachers implement the learning improvement program in order to enhance students' learning outcomes in the topic of mathematics. Using the drill approach can improve students' learning objectives of "Area and Perimeter of Flat Shapes" in mathematics class. Student learning outcomes after using the drill method show an increase in significance towards their learning objectives.

Abstract

This study employs a qualitative methodology with a descriptive approach to examine the mathematics learning outcomes of elementary school students utilizing the Make a Match cooperative learning model. The participants include fifth-grade students from class VB and their homeroom teacher at the elementary school under investigation. Qualitative data collection involves direct observation and analysis conducted on-site. Data were gathered through observations and interviews with fifth-grade teachers at SD Negeri 55 Palembang, utilizing both primary and secondary sources. The secondary data encompassed various aspects related to the research focus, such as educational facilities, infrastructure, student enrollment, among others, obtained through document analysis. However, secondary data were not utilized in this research. Data collection methods encompassed observation, interviews, and documentation. To ensure data validity, a two-stage process involving observation protocols and alternative data validity analysis techniques was implemented. Data analysis techniques included data reduction, presentation, and drawing conclusions. The findings, based on observations and interviews conducted on Monday, January 15, 2024, at SD Negeri 55 Palembang with class VB students, revealed a notable issue: a lack of implementation of the Make a Match cooperative learning model by teachers. The study highlights the significant impact of this cooperative learning model on student learning outcomes, emphasizing its potential for fostering positive student engagement, motivation, and direction within the learning process.

Abstract

There are references in this exploration. The sources of data were papers published in scientific publications. Content analysis was used to examine this content. Reading fifteen twinkles before class, having a reading niche, and establishing a textbook-rich atmosphere are some of the knowledge enterprise used at SDN 96 Palembang to encourage early reading. We created fifteen- nanosecond reading assignments before to class, made library visits essential, and enhanced journaling and other reading chops during the growth phase. reading that takes place at the launch, middle, or finish of a library literacy phase that spans a set quantum of time and involves the use of a variety of coffers and technologies. Supporting variables include student enthusiasm, instructor encouragement, availability of facilities and infrastructure, adequate funds, active involvement of the school community, and parental support for educational initiatives. Lack of enthusiasm of students, ignorance of teachers about the value of reading and writing, their physical limitations and inadequate school facilities are some of the things that hinder.

Abstract

The Pedada River is one of the 3T areas which is a coastal area located in South Sumatra Province. Its existence on the coast makes this area vulnerable to natural disasters such as tidal floods, and others. This study aims to analyze science learning resources as one of the 3T regions of Indonesia. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method. The data collection instruments used are questionnaires for students, interview guidelines for teachers, and analysis of teaching material documents. Based on the results of the needs analysis questionnaire, it shows that students are only facilitated by using the main textbook during classroom learning activities, the lack of use of learning media and other innovations in learning makes students not have great motivation in learning. Class-based learning activities are often constrained by natural conditions and road access from settlements to schools. The results of the interviews showed that teachers did not have the right experience in utilizing the surrounding environment as a potential for learning outside the classroom and still needed support in the provision of varied teaching materials. Thus, it can be concluded that learning resources at Sungai Pedada Elementary School are still very much needed and there is a need for training to improve teacher competence in developing teaching materials that are suitable for the student environment.
