Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to analyse the influence of entrepreneurial motivation, creativity, entrepreneurship education, and entrepreneurial experience on the entrepreneurial interest of Generation Z students, with self-efficacy as a mediating variable. Using a quantitative approach through a survey of 120 active students at universities in Bangka, the data were analysed using Structural Equation Modelling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS). The results showed that creativity and entrepreneurship education had a positive and significant effect on self-efficacy and entrepreneurial interest. Entrepreneurial experience also contributes strongly to increasing self-efficacy, especially through practice-based activities such as business simulations, mentoring, and field studies. In addition, entrepreneurship education has been proven to have a significant direct influence on entrepreneurial interest, emphasising the importance of applied and contextual learning. Meanwhile, entrepreneurial motivation does not have a significant effect on self-efficacy, but it still has a positive influence on entrepreneurial interest. Mediation analysis reveals that self-efficacy acts as an important mediator that strengthens the influence of motivation, creativity, education, and entrepreneurial experience on entrepreneurial interest. These findings confirm that self-confidence is the main foundation in the formation of entrepreneurial intention. Overall, this study emphasises the importance of synergy between internal factors and experience-based education to encourage the growth of a confident young generation ready to enter the world of entrepreneurship.

Abstract

Educational staff in elementary schools play a vital role in supporting operational success; however, they often receive less attention in management studies compared to teachers. This study aims to analyze the influence of competence, motivation, and organizational support on the effectiveness of educational staff, with job satisfaction serving as an intervening variable. Employing a quantitative approach, this study involved 153 elementary school educational staff selected via stratified random sampling. Data were collected using questionnaires and analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results indicate that motivation has a significant positive effect on work effectiveness. Crucially, the findings reveal that organizational support does not directly influence effectiveness but is fully mediated by job satisfaction. Conversely, competence was found to have no significant effect on effectiveness, indicating a gap between technical skills and daily administrative demands. In conclusion, psychological aspects such as satisfaction and motivation are more dominant in predicting the performance of non-teaching staff than technical capacity. This study suggests that school management should focus on creating a supportive work climate that enhances employee satisfaction to achieve effective primary education services.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of competence, work discipline, and motivation on employee performance with job satisfaction as a mediating variable at the Pangkalpinang Class I Immigration Office. The study used a quantitative approach with the Structural Equation Modeling method based on Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS). The research sample consisted of 80 respondents taken using a saturated sampling technique. Data were collected through a Likert scale questionnaire and analyzed using SmartPLS. The results showed that work discipline had a positive and significant effect on employee performance and job satisfaction, as well as being the most dominant factor in improving performance. Motivation had a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction, but did not directly affect performance. Meanwhile, competence did not significantly affect performance or job satisfaction. Job satisfaction also did not significantly affect performance and was unable to mediate the relationship between variables. These findings indicate that employee performance in public service organizations is more determined by work behavior, especially discipline, than technical abilities or psychological factors.

Abstract

The disourse on strengthening the national manufacturing sector through the downstream industry program faces real challenges, including the decline in commodity prices that decrease firm profits, and weakening value of the major shares reflects the decline in investor perceptions of firm value. This research aims to review the effect of profitability, firm growth, firm size, and capital structure on investment decision, and explore the possible absence of influence of these variables in basic materials sector in 2020-2024. This research is quantitative using panel data regression analysis of 110 observation from 23 sample firm, with best estimation model identified as the Fixed Effect Model (FEM) and processed using E-views 12. The result showed that partially, profitability, and capital structure had no significant effect on investment decision. In contrast, firm growth has a significant efffect with a negative direction, so did firm size has a positive significant effect. Simultaneously, these four variables have significant effect on investment decision with the coefficient of determination indicating that the ability to explain in this model is powerful. Implication of this research is importance to evaluate all of internal factors that affect investment decision further in order to be able to realize the discourse of industrial downstreaming in the manufacturing sector.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the potential for diversification of Regional Original Income (PAD) in South Bangka Regency through the development of sports tourism and ecotourism concepts based on local uniqueness. The background of this research is based on the region's high dependence on conventional economic sectors such as mining, which are vulnerable to global fluctuations. The research method used is a qualitative approach with a descriptive-analytical type through data collection techniques such as interviews, observations, and documentation studies. The results of the study indicate that South Bangka Regency has great potential in tourism development, both through sport tourism based on sporting events such as beach and water sports, as well as ecotourism that utilizes mangrove ecosystems, coastal areas, and biodiversity. However, there are several major obstacles such as limited infrastructure, low quality human resources, suboptimal digital promotion, and the lack of systematic integration of tourism development planning. The discussion shows that the integration between sport tourism and ecotourism can be an effective strategy in increasing tourist attractions while creating sustainable economic impacts. The success of this sector's development depends heavily on synergy between the government, the community, and the private sector. Therefore, planned strategic policies, strengthening human resource capacity, increasing infrastructure investment, and innovation in digital-based promotion are needed. This research contributes to formulating a tourism development model based on local potential that can increase PAD sustainably and promote the welfare of local communities.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of leadership and work motivation on employee performance, with job satisfaction as an intervening variable at Basarnas Pangkal Pinang City. This research employs a quantitative approach with an explanatory design. The population consists of 57 employees, all of whom were used as respondents through a census technique. Data were collected using a questionnaire with a five-point Likert scale, while data analysis was conducted using multiple linear regression and path analysis with the assistance of SPSS. The results show that leadership and work motivation have a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction. In addition, leadership, work motivation, and job satisfaction also have a positive and significant effect on employee performance. Job satisfaction is proven to have the most dominant influence on employee performance. The path analysis results indicate that job satisfaction acts as an intervening variable that mediates the relationship between leadership and work motivation on employee performance, both directly and indirectly. These findings indicate that improving employee performance in organizations with high-risk work environments such as Basarnas does not solely depend on structural aspects but also on employees’ psychological factors. Therefore, strengthening adaptive leadership and enhancing work motivation should be balanced with efforts to improve job satisfaction in order to achieve optimal performance. This study provides theoretical contributions to the development of organizational behavior models and practical implications for human resource management in the public sector, particularly in rescue institutions.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of digital marketing strategies and product innovation on the success of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in the culinary sector in Pangkalpinang City, with customer satisfaction as an intervening variable. The background of this study is based on the rapid development of the digital economy, which has driven changes in business strategies, particularly among MSMEs, as well as the increasing competition through digital-based platforms. Although the number of MSMEs continues to grow, several issues remain, including suboptimal digital marketing utilization, inconsistent product innovation, and varying levels of customer satisfaction. This study employs an explanatory quantitative approach, with data collected through questionnaires distributed to 100 culinary MSME actors selected using purposive sampling. Data analysis was conducted using multiple linear regression and path analysis to examine both direct and indirect relationships among variables. The results show that digital marketing strategies and product innovation have a positive and significant effect on both customer satisfaction and MSME success. Product innovation has a more dominant influence on customer satisfaction compared to digital marketing. In addition, customer satisfaction is proven to be the most dominant variable influencing MSME success. The mediation analysis indicates that customer satisfaction is able to mediate the effect of digital marketing strategies and product innovation on MSME success, both partially and simultaneously. Overall, this study confirms that the success of culinary MSMEs is not solely determined by digital marketing strategies and product innovation directly, but is highly influenced by the ability of business actors to create customer satisfaction. Therefore, MSME actors need to integrate digital marketing strategies with sustainable product innovation in order to enhance competitiveness and business sustainability in the digital era.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of access to financing, consumer trust, and business networks on the sustainability of culinary MSMEs in Bangka Belitung, with adaptation strategy as a mediating variable in the post-pandemic era. This topic is important as culinary MSMEs face sustainability challenges due to changing consumer behavior, limited resources, and dynamic market conditions. A quantitative approach was employed using Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) with 189 respondents. The results indicate that consumer trust and business networks significantly influence adaptation strategy, while access to financing shows a weaker effect. Furthermore, adaptation strategy emerges as the most dominant factor influencing business sustainability and serves as a partial mediator between the independent variables and sustainability. These findings highlight that MSME sustainability is not solely determined by resource availability, but by the ability to strategically adapt to changing business environments.
