Abstract

This research aims to determine the influence of infrastructure and student learning motivation on the learning achievement of SMPN 01 Jayapura OKU Timur. This type of research is quantitative research with a research design using an ex post facto research design. The sample in this study were students of SMPN 01 Jayapura, East OKU Regency, class IX, and class VIII groups A-C, totaling 114 students. The data collection technique used a questionnaire. Data analysis techniques use quantitative descriptive analysis techniques and multiple regression. The results of this research state that there is there is significant influence partially and jointly between infrastructure and teacher’s work motivation on student’s learning achievement at SMPN 01 Jayapura OKU Timur. It implies to all stakeholders of education in Indonesia to pay more attention toward infrastructure and work motivation to gain good student’s learning achievement.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the influence of principal leadership of PAUD and teachers’ competence on the performance of PAUD teachers in Sembawa Subdistrict. Data in this study were collected through distributing the questionnaires to respondents. The results of the questionnaire were analyzed by using multiple regression analysis through t-test, F-test, and the coefficient of determination. Population of the study was 87 PAUD teachers in Sembawa Subdistrict. The sample in this study was 57 PAUD teachers in Sembawa sub-district. Research results showed: 1) there was a positive and significant influence of principal leadership of PAUD on teachers’ performance; 2) there was a positive and significant influence of teachers’ competence on teachers’ performance; 3) there was a significant influence simultaneously of principal leadership of PAUD and teachers’ competence on the performance of PAUD teachers in Sembawa sub-district Banyuasin.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the description of the Principal's leadership management in SMP Muhammadiyah Prabumulih and has uses in various parties, both from the place of research and the authors themselves. In this study, the population is the principal, vice principal and honorary teacher consisting of 10 people, each of whom has different functions, qualities and characteristics. Collecting research data through three main sources, namely: direct observation (observation) document analysis, and interviews to get the principal's leadership score and the teacher's performance score. The data analysis technique used is descriptive qualitative analysis technique. These results indicate that: (1) the optimal form of leadership is played by the principal's role as a leader, manager, and motivator. (2) the obstacle faced by school principals when carrying out their duties is the performance of honorary work in this school has been running quite well even though some are still lacking discipline in attendance due to various reasons and interests.

Abstract

The birth of a digital knowledge-based community brought major changes in everything. The role of teachers in learning in the digital age requires the expertise of teachers to implement appropriate solutions to various problems and adapt to changing environments. This change requires a new orientation in education that emphasizes creativity, initiative, innovation, communication and cooperation. In the digital age, teachers are needed to be able to keep up with the times, can play various roles as change bearers, learning consultants; who have a high sense of humanity and morals, and social sensitivity, and are rational and honest-minded, so that they are able to work well in a dynamic educational environment. This article discusses the role of teachers in the digital age in learning that is thought to influence vision, responsibility, social sensitivity, logical ability and teacher honesty. All of this boils down to the role of teachers in the digital age as agents of change and learning consultants. The teacher becomes a bridge of revolution by making himself as motivator which moves students to accessible learning resources.

Abstract

This study determined the influence of the principal's leadership style and work motivation on the performance of high school teachers. Data in this study were collected through distributing the questionnaires to respondents. The results of the questionnaire were analyzed by using multiple regression analysis through t-test, F-test, and the coefficient of determination. Population in this study was all high school teachers in Air Kumbang subdistrict of Banyuasin district totaling 85 people. The sampling technique used was saturation. The research sample was 85 high school teachers. The results showed 1) there was a positive and significant effect of leadership style on teachers’ performance; 2) there was a positive and significant influence of work motivation on teachers’ performance; 3) there was a significant influence simultaneously of leadership style and work motivation on the performance of high school teachers in Air Kumbang sub-district Banyuasin.

Abstract

The objectives of this study were to determine the influence of the principal's leadership style and organizational culture on teacher performance. This research used quantitative method with post-facto research type. The population of the study was 180 elementary school teachers with the status of State Civil Servants or Aparatur Sipil Negara in Sembawa Sub-district, Banyuasin Regency. The sample of research was 108 people. The sampling technique in this study used a table to determine the number of samples developed by Isaac and Michael. Data collection techniques used a questionnaire. Data were analyzed using correlation analysis and multiple regression techniques. The results of this study showed that: (1) the principal's leadership style influences teacher performance by 50.7%; (2) organizational culture influences teacher performance by 48.2%; and (3) the principal's leadership style and organizational culture simultaneously have a positive effect on teacher performance at 59.5% and others were influenced by other variables outside the study. It is recommended that elementary school teachers improve their performance through awareness in carrying out their duties and responsibilities.

Abstract

This paper answered the effect of work discipline and teacher’s motivation partially and simultaneously on teacher’s performance at State Junior High Schools in Babat Toman Musi Banyuasin District. The design of this research is associative research. The number of samples of this study was 100 teachers. The statistical analysis technique used is multiple linear regression analysis. The results showed that there was a significant relationship between work discipline (X1) and teacher’s motivation (X2) on teacher’s performance (Y). This paper concludes that teacher’s work discipline and teacher’s motivation have a positive and significant effect on teacher’s performance. This study recommends that teacher’s work discipline needs to be maintained and teacher’s motivation needs to be considered. It is important to be stimulated so that teacher’s motivation is within each teacher and it is necessary to improve facilities and infrastructure to support teacher’s performance.

Abstract

This research provided the implementation of supervision and its impact on teacher’s performance in Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 1 Banyuasin. The method used was descriptive qualitative. The results obtained that class supervision was carried out well in a structured or systematic manner. Class supervision is first scheduled, then good planning is arranged in relation to the things needed to carry out supervision, then supervision is carried out in class by involving each element, until finally a report on the implementation of supervision is conducted and there are recommendations for improvement to be followed up. The implementation of classroom supervision has a positive impact on teachers. That supervision is able to provide guidance to planning, implementation and evaluation of learning.

Abstract

This study aimed at analyzing the relationship between principal supervision and interpersonal communication partially and simultaneously with the work ethic of teachers at Prabumulih Public High School. This research was a survey research with a quantitative approach. The research subject was the teacher while the object of the research was the supervision of the principal and the interpersonal communication. The results obtained indicate that there is a relationship between the principal’s supervision and interpersonal communication partially and simultaneously significant with the work ethic of teachers in SMA Negeri Prabumulih.

Abstract

This study determined whether there is any influence and how much influence the role of the school committee and school operational assistance programs on the quality of education. This research was conducted in SMP Negeri Rambang, Muara Enim. This type of research is quantitative research. While the method in this research uses the partial correlation method. The sample in this study were 45 educators and teaching staff at the school. The data collection technique in this study used a questionnaire. The results of this study showed that 1) there is a relationship between the role of the school committee and the school operational assistance program; 2) there is an influence between the role of the school committee on the quality of education; 3) there is an influence between the school operational assistance program on the implementation of education quality; and 4) there is a significant joint effect between the role of the school committee and the school operational assistance program on the quality of education.
