Abstract

This study explores the impact of local hospitality and perceived discrimination on tourist behavior, with brand love as a mediating variable, in the context of Tangkahan tourist attractions in North Sumatra. We collected data from a survey of 237 tourists visiting Tangkahan and analyzed it using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). The analysis shows that local friendliness positively and significantly affects brand love. In contrast, perceived discrimination has no significant effect on brand love. In addition, local friendliness also has a positive and significant effect on tourist behavior, while perceived discrimination has no significant impact on tourist behavior. Furthermore, brand love has a positive and significant influence on tourist behavior. Brand love indirectly mediates the relationship between local friendliness and tourist behavior. However, brand love does not significantly mediate the relationship between perceived discrimination and tourist behavior. The practical implications of this study suggest the need for a more holistic strategy to improve the tourism experience, including addressing discrimination and strengthening the positive elements that influence brand love.

Abstract

This study examines the impact of QRIS and peer-to-peer (P2P) lending on the sustainability of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), with capital structure as a mediating variable in Medan Petisah. The rapid development of digital financial services has provided new opportunities for MSMEs to improve financial access and operational efficiency. This research employs a quantitative approach using survey data collected from MSME actors. The analysis was conducted using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The findings reveal that QRIS and P2P lending have a significant positive effect on capital structure and MSME sustainability. Furthermore, capital structure partially mediates the relationship between financial technology usage and business sustainability. These findings indicate that digital financial adoption not only enhances access to funding but also improves the financial structure of MSMEs, contributing to long-term sustainability. This study provides empirical evidence on the role of financial technology in strengthening MSME performance in urban areas.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of fintech lending on the growth of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Indonesia, with a particular focus on the mediating role of the banking industry. MSMEs play a crucial role in the Indonesian economy by contributing significantly to gross domestic product and employment; however, limited access to formal financing remains a major constraint to their development. In this context, fintech lending has emerged as an alternative financing mechanism that offers faster, more flexible, and more accessible funding compared to traditional banking services. This study employs a quantitative approach using secondary data obtained from the Financial Services Authority (OJK), the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), and Data Indonesia, covering the period from January 2022 to December 2025, with a total of 48 observations. The data were analyzed using regression analysis and mediation testing with SPSS. The results indicate that fintech lending has a positive and significant effect on MSME growth. In addition, fintech lending also significantly influences the banking industry. Furthermore, the banking industry has a significant positive effect on MSME growth and fully mediates the relationship between fintech lending and MSME growth. These findings suggest that fintech lending and banking institutions operate in a complementary manner, where banking plays a crucial intermediary role in channeling the impact of fintech into MSME development. Overall, this study provides important insights for policymakers, financial institutions, and fintech developers in strengthening an inclusive and sustainable digital financial ecosystem to support MSME growth in Indonesia.

Abstract

Elections are a fundamental component of democratic systems, yet conventional paper based and centralized electronic voting mechanisms continue to face persistent challenges related to transparency, security, auditability, and declining public trust. To address these issues, this study aims to design and evaluate a blockchain enabled voting system that can improve election transparency and strengthen voter trust by leveraging decentralization, immutability, and crypto- graphic security. The research adopts a system design and evaluation methodology that integrates an in depth literature review, blockchain architecture modeling, smart contract development, and experimental evaluation focusing on security, transparency, and performance under simulated election conditions. The results show that the proposed system successfully ensures immutable vote recording, prevents double voting through automated smart contract enforcement, enhances end to end auditability via a transparent distributed ledger, and significantly improves resistance to vote manipulation and unauthorized access when compared to conventional and centralized electronic voting systems. Performance analysis indicates that while transaction latency increases with higher voting loads due to consensus mechanisms, the system remains stable, reliable, and operational, demonstrating feasibility for small to medium scale elections. Furthermore, the decentralized architecture reduces single points of failure and minimizes reliance on trusted third parties. Overall, this study concludes that blockchain technology provides a robust and trustworthy foundation for modern digital voting systems, while also highlighting scalability, computational overhead, and real world implementation challenges that should be addressed through optimization techniques and pilot deployments in future research.

Abstract

Abstract

The pharmaceutical industry in Indonesia plays a crucial role in maintaining public health and is a strategic part of the country's economy. This study examines ROE, net profit margin, total asset turnover, and financial leverage in pharmaceutical companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. This study is quantitative in nature. The research data were obtained from secondary sources. Out of a total of 10 pharmaceutical companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during the period 2016-2024, a sample of 5 companies was selected, with a sample observation of 45 data points. The research results indicate that the classical assumptions have been met. The partial t-test found that net profit margin significantly and positively affects return on equity (ROE) in the pharmaceutical industry listed on the IDX. Total asset turnover significantly and positively affects return on equity (ROE) in the pharmaceutical industry listed on the IDX. However, financial leverage does not significantly affect return on equity (ROE). Net profit margin, total asset turnover, and financial leverage all have a simultaneous effect on ROE (F-test). The adjusted R-square (R2) value is 0.906, or 90.6%, which indicates a significant impact on ROE, while the remaining 9.4% is attributed to other variables that influence ROE.

Abstract

The goal of this study is to look into how work motivation, the work environment, and training affect how well employees do their jobs at PT Medcomm Solution. In service organizations, human resources are regarded as a strategic element affecting performance, with other internal organizational factors contributing. This study utilized a quantitative methodology with a causal associative research design. The sample encompassed all 66 employees, employing a census sampling methodology. The data were analyzed using multiple linear regression. The findings suggest that job motivation and training positively and significantly influence employee performance, however the work environment does not. These three independent factors have a substantial effect on employee performance at the same time, as shown by the F-value of 20.085 and the significance level of 0.000 (<0.05). The coefficient of determination value of 51.8% shows that the variables of work motivation, work environment, and training can explain differences in employee performance. The other 48.2% is due to factors not included in this research model, such as rewards, pay, work discipline, organizational culture, job satisfaction, work stress, and individual employee characteristics.
