Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze how social change and structural transformation in Indonesia affect social solidarity in modern society, using Durkheim's theory as an analytical framework. The library method in this study uses literature studies to explore Émile Durkheim's main thoughts on social solidarity, focusing on the transition from mechanical solidarity to organic solidarity in modern society. The sources used include Durkheim's works as well as articles and books that discuss the application of Durkheim's theory in the increasingly diversified Indonesian social context. Qualitative analysis is carried out to compare Durkheim's concepts with social realities in Indonesia, as well as to provide recommendations for strengthening social solidarity amidst cultural, religious, and ethnic diversity. In Émile Durkheim's perspective, social solidarity is key to maintaining unity and cohesion in society. Durkheim distinguishes between mechanical solidarity, which occurs in simple and homogeneous societies, and organic solidarity, which emerges in more complex and diversified societies. Indonesia, with its rich diversity in culture, religion, ethnicity, and language, faces significant challenges in sustaining social solidarity amidst rapid social changes. The transition from mechanical to organic solidarity, driven by urbanization, industrialization, and globalization, brings new challenges such as anomie, social inequality, identity crises, and deeper social fragmentation, requiring ongoing efforts to keep solidarity strong and inclusive.

Abstract

The purpose of this service is to optimize Islamic religious education at the guidance studio of Lorong Sungai Mulia 5 Gombak Kuala Lumpur through creative and contextual learning strategies to form Islamic character and prepare the future of students with noble and competitive character. The ABCD method is used with the Discovery stage to identify individual, institutional, social, and cultural assets through interviews, observations, and FGDs. In the Dream stage, teachers, students, and the community formulated a common dream for the studio to become a center for Islamic character development with interesting and technology-based PAI learning. The Design and Define stages produce concrete programs such as teacher training, curriculum development, religious activities, parenting classes, and interactive learning implementations that are evaluated periodically to measure program success and impact. The results of the service showed a significant increase in students' religious knowledge and practices through the PAI strengthening program and the habit of daily worship. Students become more disciplined in congregational prayers, regularly read the Qur'an before studying, and show a polite and responsible attitude independently. This change reflects the success of the program in forming an Islamic character based on faith awareness, not just obedience due to coercion.

Abstract

This community service program aimed to strengthen Qur’anic learning through a community-based mentoring approach in Morosari Village, Sukorejo District. The program was designed to address challenges in non-formal Qur’anic education, particularly limited pedagogical capacity of local instructors, unstructured learning methods, and varying levels of learners’ Qur’anic reading abilities. An Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) approach was employed to optimize existing community assets, including local Qur’anic teachers, religious institutions, and strong social support for Islamic education. The program was implemented through several stages: community asset mapping, collective goal formulation, participatory program design, mentoring-based implementation, and reflective evaluation. Mentoring activities focused on improving Qur’anic reading skills using structured methods such as talaqqi, tahsin, and learner grouping based on reading proficiency. Local instructors were actively involved as key actors, while the service team functioned as facilitators and mentors. The results indicate a significant improvement in learners’ Qur’anic reading fluency and accuracy, particularly in pronunciation and basic tajwīd application. In addition, local instructors demonstrated increased pedagogical awareness and improved teaching practices. Community participation also increased, reinforcing collective responsibility for Qur’anic education. Overall, the community-based mentoring model supported by the ABCD approach proved effective in enhancing the quality and sustainability of Qur’anic learning. This program offers a replicable model for strengthening community-driven Islamic education in similar rural contexts.

Abstract

The author wrote this paper with the aim of fulfilling a college assignment as well as education for school principals, where the principal is a central figure in managing all aspects related to education in a school institution, especially in this paper is how the figure of the principal must be alert in innovating to overcome all problems that arise during the education process. With all the limitations of time and material, this paper uses a qualitative research method because it is more effective by collecting journal texts that have been done by previous researchers. In short, innovation is change. Management according to the term or language comes from Latin, namely manus which has the meaning in English "to control by hand" or gain "result" which means producing or controlling with power. An innovative leader is a leader who is able to provide creative ideas, make wise decisions quickly, is able to solve problems with effective solutions and is able to guide subordinates to process and develop (Noviyanty, 2020: 34). Louis Soares et al (2019) in his book Innovative Leadership in his latest study describes several activities or work carried out by innovative educational leaders in America, namely: Innovative leadership refers to the introduction of new methods, products, services, techniques, or ideas to meet individual needs and find solutions to current and future problems.
