Abstract

Kesehatan mental menjadi sorotan utama dalam masyarakat modern saat ini, namun masih terdapat stigma dan kurangnya pemahaman yang mengiringinya. Tujuan pengabdian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat tentang pentingnya kesehatan mental melalui pendekatan edukasi pendidikan sosial. Metode pengabdian yang digunakan adalah Participatory Action Research (PAR) yang melibatkan partisipasi aktif dari berbagai pihak untuk mengidentifikasi masalah, merumuskan solusi, dan mengimplementasikannya. Hasil pengabdian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pengetahuan dan pemahaman masyarakat tentang kesehatan mental, termasuk penyebab, gejala, dan cara penanganannya. Selain itu, terjadi perubahan sikap dan perilaku masyarakat terhadap kesehatan mental, dengan respons positif yang lebih besar terhadap individu dengan masalah kesehatan mental dan penurunan stigma. Dukungan sosial dan moral juga meningkat, menciptakan lingkungan yang lebih inklusif dan mendukung bagi individu yang membutuhkan bantuan dalam kesehatan mentalnya. Kesimpulan dari pengabdian ini adalah bahwa pendekatan edukasi pendidikan sosial efektif dalam meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat tentang kesehatan mental. Kolaborasi antara berbagai pihak juga memberikan dampak yang signifikan dalam menciptakan lingkungan yang lebih mendukung dan toleran terhadap individu dengan masalah kesehatan mental. Dengan demikian, pengabdian ini memberikan kontribusi nyata dalam upaya merawat kesehatan mental dan meningkatkan kesejahteraan psikologis masyarakat secara keseluruhan.

Abstract

Community Empowerment in the Fields of Education, Entrepreneurship, and the Environment in Villages is a comprehensive initiative encouraging holistic development and empowerment of rural communities. This service activity aims to empower the community through an integrated approach that addresses education, entrepreneurship, and the environment. This service method uses Participatory Action Research (PAR), which involves participatory needs assessments, tailored educational programs, entrepreneurial empowerment initiatives, and environmental awareness campaigns. Collaborative partnerships with community stakeholders, educators, entrepreneurs, and environmental advocates are integral to the success of this initiative. The results of this service show increased learning outcomes, entrepreneurial skills, and awareness of the environment in the village. Through local education, small-scale business support, and sustainable practices, community members have gained agency, economic security, and a sense of environmental responsibility. The success of this initiative underscores the interconnectedness of these pillars in promoting comprehensive community empowerment. So, the Community Empowerment initiative is a model for inclusive and sustainable development strategies in rural areas.

Abstract

This service focuses on Optimizing Community Progress through Empowerment in the Field of Sustainable Education. The background of this article emphasizes the need for holistic global education that integrates environmental, social, and economic aspects. This service aims to empower the community to actively participate in sustainable education initiatives actively, fostering a sense of ownership, collaboration, and long-term impact. This service method uses participatory approaches such as Participatory Action Research (PAR) and Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD), emphasizing collaboration between stakeholders, including government agencies, NGOs, educational institutions, and community members. The results show significant increases in community ownership, participation, and commitment to continuing education programs. A participatory approach facilitates designing contextually relevant solutions and identifying locally relevant problems and opportunities. Asset-Based Community Development utilizes existing community strengths and resources for educational support, increasing independence and resilience. The conclusion is that community empowerment and collaborative partnerships are important in optimizing community progress in sustainable education. Empowered communities drive positive change, address local challenges effectively, and contribute to a more equitable and sustainable future. Collaborative partnerships ensure sustainable education initiatives' scalability, impact, and long-term sustainability and foster empowered communities.

Abstract

Keluarga memainkan peran penting dalam membentuk perkembangan moral anak-anak, namun tantangan modern sering kali melemahkan peran ini. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi efektivitas Pendekatan Keluarga Berdaya dalam meningkatkan dinamika keluarga dan membina landasan moral anak. Penelitian ini menggunakan metodologi Penelitian Tindakan Partisipatif (PAR), yang melibatkan keluarga dalam lokakarya kolaboratif, intervensi, dan praktik reflektif. Data dikumpulkan melalui survei, wawancara, dan observasi selama periode tertentu. Pendekatan Keluarga yang Diberdayakan memberikan hasil positif, termasuk peningkatan komunikasi keluarga yang ditandai dengan dialog terbuka dan saling pengertian. Orang tua melaporkan peningkatan kepercayaan diri dalam membimbing perkembangan moral anak, yang mengarah pada peningkatan ikatan orang tua-anak. Anak-anak menunjukkan empati, kesadaran etis, dan keterampilan berpikir kritis yang lebih besar, yang mencerminkan dampak program terhadap penalaran moral. Selain itu, nilai-nilai moral inti seperti kejujuran, kasih sayang, dan tanggung jawab ditanamkan dalam konteks keluarga. Temuan ini menyoroti efektivitas Pendekatan Keluarga Berdaya dalam memperkuat peran keluarga dalam perkembangan moral anak. Dengan memberdayakan keluarga melalui strategi komunikasi, bimbingan orang tua, dan intervensi berbasis nilai, pendekatan ini menumbuhkan budaya kesadaran moral dan tanggung jawab sosial. Wawasan ini menggarisbawahi pentingnya pendekatan yang berpusat pada keluarga dalam mendorong pertumbuhan etika dan membentuk generasi yang sadar moral.

Abstract

The education landscape has increasingly recognized the importance of community engagement in shaping sustainable educational impact. However, a need remains to explore and implement effective outreach initiatives that bridge educational disparities and empower communities. The service method uses a participatory action research (PAR) approach through participatory and collaborative methods, which is applied to identify specific needs in the educational community, involving teachers, students, parents, and the local community. Community service activities will be carried out from June to July 2023. This community engagement initiative aimed to foster sustainable educational impact through collaborative outreach initiatives, leveraging community strengths and resources. The initiative employed a participatory approach involving educators, community leaders, and stakeholders. Key methods included participatory mapping, culturally responsive pedagogies, and participatory decision-making processes. The initiative yielded transformative outcomes, including strengthened community partnerships, enhanced cultural inclusivity, and improved educational governance. Holistic development initiatives improved students' social cohesion, civic engagement, and leadership skills. The initiative underscores the potential of community engagement and outreach initiatives in fostering sustainable educational impact. Ongoing investment in partnerships, cultural responsiveness, and participatory practices is crucial for advancing inclusive and empowering educational environments.

Abstract

Effective communication skills are essential for personal development and community cohesion, yet many communities need access to tailored training programs. The Community Assistance aims to address this gap by enhancing the communication abilities of community members through a participatory and context-specific approach. The program was designed to improve public speaking, active listening, non-verbal communication, and written communication skills among participants. Utilizing a Participatory Action Research (PAR) methodology, the program engaged community members in the needs assessment, design, implementation, and evaluation phases. This collaborative approach ensured the training was relevant and effective. The results demonstrated significant improvements in participants' communication skills, with notable increases in confidence and proficiency. Enhanced communication led to greater community engagement, improved employment prospects, and better educational outcomes. The training also strengthened social networks and fostered a sense of community cohesion. In conclusion, the program successfully empowered individuals and promoted sustainable community development. The findings underscore the importance of tailored communication skills training and provide a model for similar initiatives in other communities.

Abstract

Pada era digital, kemajuan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi memberikan tantangan sekaligus peluang dalam dunia pendidikan. Anak-anak kini memiliki akses luas ke berbagai sumber belajar digital, yang menuntut peran aktif orang tua dalam mengawasi dan mendampingi proses pendidikan mereka. Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk memberdayakan orang tua agar dapat mendukung pendidikan anak secara efektif di era digital. Metode yang digunakan dalam pengabdian ini adalah Participatory Action Research (PAR), yang melibatkan partisipasi aktif orang tua dalam setiap tahap kegiatan, mulai dari identifikasi kebutuhan hingga evaluasi hasil. Program pengabdian ini mencakup pelatihan dan workshop yang dirancang untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan orang tua dalam memanfaatkan teknologi digital untuk pendidikan anak. Hasil dari pengabdian ini menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam pemahaman dan kemampuan orang tua dalam mengelola penggunaan teknologi oleh anak-anak mereka. Selain itu, terjadi perubahan sikap yang lebih positif terhadap penggunaan teknologi digital dalam pendidikan, serta peningkatan keterlibatan orang tua dalam proses pembelajaran anak. Pembentukan komunitas belajar orang tua juga menjadi salah satu hasil yang signifikan, yang memberikan dukungan berkelanjutan dan pertukaran informasi di antara para orang tua. Kesimpulannya, pengabdian ini berhasil memberdayakan orang tua untuk menjadi pendamping yang lebih kompeten dan percaya diri dalam mendukung pendidikan anak di era digital. Namun, untuk menjaga keberlanjutan dampak positif ini, diperlukan dukungan berkelanjutan dan program lanjutan yang lebih komprehensif.

Abstract

This community service activity addresses women's important socio-economic challenges in urban communities by empowering them through entrepreneurship. Despite their potential, many women face barriers such as limited access to financial resources, inadequate training, and gender bias that hinder their entrepreneurial ambitions. This service aims to equip women with the skills, knowledge, and resources necessary to succeed as entrepreneurs, encouraging economic independence and social empowerment. This activity uses participatory action research (PAR) methods, involving women as co-researchers to identify their specific needs and challenges. Based on these insights, specialized training programs were developed, focusing on critical entrepreneurial skills such as business planning, financial management, and marketing. Financial assistance in the form of microloans and grants is also provided to help women overcome initial financial obstacles in starting their businesses. The results of this service are very significant, and there is a significant increase in the number of women-owned businesses in the community, which has an impact on improving the economy of the participants and their families. Additionally, the project fosters a support network of women entrepreneurs who continue to share resources and support each other. This initiative also contributes to positive changes in society's attitudes towards women in business, encouraging increased gender equality and social inclusion. In conclusion, this service shows the effectiveness of a comprehensive and integrated approach to empowering women through entrepreneurship in urban communities

Abstract

The importance of community education is increasingly recognized as essential for fostering social cohesion, lifelong learning, and sustainable development, especially in marginalized communities. However, many existing initiatives fail to achieve long-term sustainability and do not adequately respect the cultural dignity of the communities they serve. This community empowerment project aimed to develop a sustainable and dignified community education model that is deeply rooted in the cultural and social contexts of the community. The project employed a Participatory Action Research (PAR) method, involving community members as co-researchers in identifying educational needs, developing strategies, and implementing solutions. The collaborative approach ensured that the educational programs were culturally relevant, addressing the specific challenges and aspirations of the community in Lhokseumawe. Local educational committees were established, and community members were trained in leadership roles to ensure the sustainability of the initiative. The results demonstrated significant improvements in community engagement, educational outcomes, and social cohesion. Community members took active roles in the educational process, resulting in a stronger sense of ownership and responsibility. The integration of cultural heritage into the curriculum enhanced the relevance and effectiveness of education, while the establishment of sustainable structures ensured the long-term impact of the project. The findings underscore the importance of participatory, culturally responsive approaches in building sustainable and dignified community education systems. In conclusion, this project provides a successful model for future initiatives, highlighting the need for continued community involvement, cultural relevance, and sustainability in educational development efforts.

Abstract

Pengembangan Badan Usaha Milik Desa (BUMDes) menjadi salah satu strategi penting dalam meningkatkan ekonomi masyarakat desa. Namun, optimalisasi peran masyarakat dalam pengelolaan BUMDes sering kali belum maksimal. Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan partisipasi masyarakat dalam pengembangan BUMDes melalui pendekatan partisipatif. Metode yang digunakan adalah Participatory Action Research (PAR), yang melibatkan masyarakat dalam setiap tahap pengembangan, mulai dari identifikasi masalah hingga evaluasi. Kegiatan pengabdian dilakukan di Desa Kutabaru Kecamatam Pasar Kemis Kabupaten Tangerang dengan melibatkan pengelola BUMDes dan masyarakat setempat melalui pelatihan, diskusi kelompok, dan pendampingan langsung. Hasil pengabdian menunjukkan peningkatan partisipasi masyarakat sebesar 75% dalam pengelolaan BUMDes, serta peningkatan kapasitas manajerial pengelola BUMDes yang mencapai 80%. Selain itu, sinergi antara BUMDes, pemerintah daerah, dan sektor swasta berhasil membuka akses pasar bagi produk lokal. Kesadaran masyarakat akan pentingnya BUMDes sebagai sarana pemberdayaan ekonomi juga meningkat. Kesimpulannya, optimalisasi peran masyarakat dalam pengembangan BUMDes dapat meningkatkan efektivitas dan keberlanjutan BUMDes, serta memperkuat ekonomi dan sosial masyarakat desa. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan upaya lanjutan untuk memastikan keberlanjutan keterlibatan masyarakat dalam pengelolaan BUMDes di masa depan.
