Abstract

The business climate in the publishing sector has become quite a complex issue in Indonesia. But not only that, in publishing, licensing has its own dynamics. Media ownership must go through a licensing process which can be said to be easier than before. But in reality, there are still many Delivery Institutions that experience licensing problems, one of which is K2 FM Radio as a Local Public Delivery Institution (LPPL) in Indramayu Regency. In this research, the researcher wants to analyze what are the obstacles for K2 FM Radio, starting from its status which must comply with the law to the permit which has not been extended since 2022 and the researcher wants to know the government's role in the obstacles facing K2 FM Radio's licensing. This research uses a qualitative research method with a case study approach. Data collection techniques were carried out through interviews with 10 informants in the form of Focus Group Discussion (FGD), documentation studies and literature studies. The results of this research are that the obstacle to K2 FM Radio licensing is the dynamic change in position holders so that there is no official role that can focus on handling K2 FM Radio licensing issues. Apart from that, the government's role is minimal so that the budget support issued by K2 FM Radio as LPPL is not granted. K2 FM Radio needs someone who really loves radio so that the radio can develop.

The results stated that the most widely used media exposure of Pangandaran people is radio, which is RJM Radio, television, and social media. Sources of disaster information obtained by the Pangandaran community include television and social media (if a disaster occurs). There are three aspects influenced people's readiness to face disasters, namely media exposure, government attention, and infrastructure. Social media can be a source of disaster information. The community has participated in several disaster mitigation simulations, but has not been supported by adequate infrastructure. The conclusion of the study is that the Pengandaran community has low media exposure could have an impact on a lack of knowledge and low levels of government attention, which resulted in a lack of disaster preparedness training, not to mention low levels of infrastructure. All of these things had a big impact on one thing, namely low preparedness to face disasters.

Abstract

Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 32 Year 2002 on Broadcasting was born after the political struggle in Indonesia. It gave birth to the Indonesian Broadcasting Commission (KPI) to equalize the ownership of radio and television, thus creating a diversity of content. But now KPI's authority is weaker after the House of Representatives passed the UU Cipta Kerja. KPI's role is only like an NGO. Now the Broadcasting Law will be revised by the House of Representatives. The Program is in the form of broadcast content, who supervises it, what is the role of KPI after the Undang-undang Cipta Kerja. Instead of being an independent institution, KPI now seems to be a broadcasting Non-Governmental Organization (NGO). This research uses a qualitative method. The research was conducted by interviewing KPI commissioners in various regions in Indonesia. The authority of the Indonesian Broadcasting Commission (KPI) as an independent body must remain firm and robust, standing as the leading regulator for broadcasting institutions, both radio and television, as well as for digital media content. For social justice in Indonesia, media ownership diversity must be regulated in the revised Broadcasting Law. Ensuring media ownership diversity across various regions and sectors is essential to prevent media ownership monopolies, which could result in only a few entities controlling television and radio broadcasting.

Abstract

This research aims to examine the importance of marketing communication networks in the growth of micro-enterprises and appreciate the role of social and technological integration in developing culture-oriented marketing networks. The case study method was employed with a descriptive qualitative research design. The data was collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and analysis of documents related to marketing strategies. A purposive sampling technique was adopted in sampling micro-entrepreneurs engaged in trade and tourism within the coastal region of Pangandaran Beach. The study depicts local values such as togetherness, gotong royong, and trust networks as values-based marketing communication that bridges the micro-enterprises and the local communities, families, and business partners. Social media proved otherwise in extending the marketing network through technological adaptation and brand recall. In addition, engagement with government institutions and other similar sectors, such as distributors and tourism actors, also contributes significance to the stability of the microenterprise. In summary, the inclusion of local cultural elements into marketing communicational networks creates a synergy that enhances not only the marketing strategies but also the viability of the micro-enterprises operating in the coastal region. This study helps policymakers and businesses devise culture-centered marketing strategies to enhance the growth of the local economy.
