Abstract

Social media has become an important part of young people's lives, not only as a means of communication and entertainment, but also as a space for intense social interaction. The high intensity of internet use brings both positive opportunities and risks, one of which is cyberbullying which has a serious impact on mental health, such as anxiety and depression. This study aims to analyze the effect of internet usage intensity and social environment on cyberbullying tendencies in college students. The research method used a quantitative approach with a cross-sectional design. Data were obtained through a five-point Likert scale online questionnaire filled out by 83 respondents from various generations. Descriptive analysis showed that aspects of social media use were quite high, while direct experience of cyberbullying was relatively lower. Social environment support was moderate, but awareness of cyberbullying prevention was high. The findings indicate that the intensity of internet use potentially increases the risk of cyberbullying, but social environmental factors and digital awareness can serve as important protections. This research provides practical contributions in the form of recommendations for digital literacy, strengthening family support, and social media monitoring to create a safer digital ecosystem for the younger generation.

Abstract

Tuberculosis (TB) remains a pressing health concern in Indonesia, with caregivers playing a decisive role in supporting treatment adherence and preventing household transmission. This community engagement project, conducted in Desa Keliling Benteng Ulu, South Kalimantan, sought to empower caregivers through structured educational and skill training using the Dingsanak Peduli TB module. Fifteen caregivers of TB patients participated in interactive sessions that combined knowledge transfer, demonstration, and skills practice. Knowledge assessment was performed before and after the intervention using domain-specific questionnaires covering TB transmission, household prevention, treatment adherence, family roles, and recovery support. Results showed a significant increase in mean knowledge scores from 56,7 to 85,3. The most pronounced improvements were observed in household prevention practices and treatment adherence, with caregivers reporting greater self-confidence in their caregiving roles. These findings highlight that structured caregiver empowerment can enhance household capacity in TB care and represent a scalable, community-based strategy to strengthen Indonesia’s TB control efforts.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between self-regulated learning and critical thinking with digital literacy and numeracy literacy skills of elementary school students. The subjects of this study were 6th grade students from 5 elementary schools in Bandung Kulon District, with a sample size of 100 students. The research method used was canonical correlation, with data collection procedures including questionnaires to measure self- regulated learning and digital literacy, as well as tests to measure critical thinking and numeracy literacy skills. Canonical assumption tests include normality tests, linearity tests, non-multicollinearity tests, and homogeneity of covariance variance tests. Canonical correlation analysis was carried out through several stages: significanceWilks' Lambda, formation of canonical functions, canonical weight tests (within tests), and canonical loading tests. The results showed that by using the four methods, the significance value was 0.000 (<0.05), which indicated a very statistically significant difference between the groups being compared. The first canonical function has a significance value of 0.000 (<0.05) and the second canonical function has a value of 0.02 (<0.05), both of which are significant. The canonical weight test shows that variables Y1 and Y2 have canonical coefficients exceeding 0.5, with Y1 having a coefficient value of 0.93560 and Y2 of 0.89671. This indicates that Y1 and Y2 have a strong influence in distinguishing groups in this analysis. The canonical loading test shows that the first canonical function has a loading value exceeding 0.5 on variable Y2 (numeracy literacy ability) of 0.93138, and on variable X2 (critical thinking) of 0.95287. The results of this study conclude that there is a significant relationship between self-regulated learning, critical thinking skills, digital literacy, and numeracy literacy. Self- regulated learning and critical thinking skills have been shown to play an important role in improving students' digital literacy and numeracy literacy. ritical thinking plays a major role in mediating this relationship, with a very high canonical loading value. The results of this study confirm that the higher the level of students' critical thinking skills, the greater the influence on improving their numeracy literacy skills. In addition, digital and numeracy literacy are also closely related to self- regulated learning, indicating that good self- regulation skills can strengthen literacy in both aspects. However, this study also reveals that there are still gaps in the literature that need to be explored further, especially in integrating self-regulated learning, critical thinking skills, digital literacy, and numeracy literacy comprehensively. This study makes an important contribution to understanding the dynamics of the relationship between the four aspects and opens up opportunities for further research that can fill the existing gaps, as well as provide deeper insights into the factors that influence students' literacy success in this digital era.

Abstract

This study addresses a critical gap in STEM education literature by empirically investigating the underexplored relationship between structured learning techniques and mathematics achievement in Indonesian engineering education—a context with limited prior research despite documented pedagogical challenges. Using a quantitative correlational design, we examined 100 engineering students at Musi Rawas University through triangulated data collection: structured interviews (14-item protocol), observational checklists (10-point behavioral scale), and institutional academic records. Participants were purposively sampled and categorized into structured (n=68) and unstructured (n=32) learners based on a validated 10-point analytical rubric (inter-rater reliability κ=0.87). Data analysis employed Pearson correlation, t-tests, and regression modeling. Findings revealed a robust positive correlation between structured techniques (concept mapping, scheduled reviews) and mathematics achievement (r = .79, p < .001), accounting for 62.4% of variance (R² = .624). Structured learners significantly outperformed peers (84.1 vs. 61.5; t(98) = 12.6, p < .001), with concept mapping identified as the highest-impact strategy (β = .42). Notably, cramming demonstrated significant negative correlations (r = −.67, p < .01). These results substantiate cognitive load theory while highlighting the 32% prevalence of ineffective techniques—a key pedagogical concern. The study implies that embedding structured strategy training (e.g., concept mapping scaffolding) into engineering curricula could elevate mathematics performance by 20–30%. Limitations include single-institution sampling and self-reporting biases, warranting future multi-institutional validation. This research provides actionable evidence for optimizing STEM learning processes in Indonesian contexts
