Abstract

Based on data from the Education Office of Pasaman Barat Regency, the number of SMPN teachers with the status of civil servants in Pasaman Barat Regency is 205 people and only 2 people get the rank of IV/b, while the amount teachers pile up in the rank of IV/a as many as 203 people. Furthermore, the Teacher Performance Assessment (UKG) of SMPN Pasaman Barat Regency was carried out by secondary education supervisors with a value of 36 from the ideal value of 56. The assessment consists of 14 items from 4 competencies, namely pedagogic, professional, social, and personality. Likewise, the UKG results carried out by the Ministry of National Education in 2012 obtained an average value of 49.22 which is ideally 70.00. Likewise, the average UN for the SMP level in 2015 only reached 4.35. This shows the low quality of teachers and instructors and is also influenced by the low level of teacher welfare. The study was conducted using path analysis with a total sample of 136. Research location in Pasaman Barat Regency. The population of SMP N teachers in the Pasaman Barat Regency is 205 people. The sampling technique is stratified random sampling using the Slovin formula. The level considered is the rank group, namely class III and IV, and is certified. The results showed that the Regent's policy had a significant effect on the loyalty of the duties and functions of the head of the service, but weak on teacher loyalty in SMP N Pasaman Barat Regency.

Abstract

Introduction: One of the common psychological disorders experienced by workers that can affect both health and performance is anxiety. Research has shown that anxiety is connected to higher levels of work fatigue. Among industrial workers, one of the major risk factors for occupational accidents is work fatigue. Purpose: This study aims to measure not only the levels of anxiety but also work fatigue, as well as analyze the correlation between anxiety and work fatigue among employees of company X. Methods: This research employed a cross-sectional design with a total of 137 employees of company X as participants. Consecutive sampling was used as a sampling technique, and data were obtained through the use of questionnaires from September 2024 - October 2025. Both univariate and bivariate analysis (Chi-square test) were used to examine the data. Results: The finding showed that prevalence of anxiety was 40.15% and work fatigue was 37.23%, and there was a significant correlation between anxiety and work fatigue (p < 0.001). Conclusion: In conclusion, there is a significant association between anxiety and work fatigue among employees of company X. Future research may employ a longitudinal design to determine causal relationships, and include workers from various industrial sectors. The findings may benefit companies and policymakers in understanding the influence of mental health factors on work fatigue. Previous studies have largely focused on online motorcycle taxi drivers and healthcare workers, while studies involving company employees remain limited.

Abstract

Academic Procrastination is a critical self-regulation issue eroding the psychological well-being of adolescents. This study aims to examine the mediating role of Academic Procrastination (M) in the relationship between Spiritual Self-Control (X) and Life Satisfaction (Y) among students at SMPN 52 Bandung. Employing a quantitative approach with a correlational mediation model design, the sample consisted of 185 eighth and ninth-grade students. Data were collected using adaptations of the Spiritual Self-Control scale, the Academic Procrastination Scale, and the Satisfaction with Life Scale (SWLS), and analyzed using the PROCESS Macro (Hayes, 2018) with the Bootstrap method (5,000 samples) to test the indirect effect. The results indicate that Spiritual Self-Control positively and significantly affects Life Satisfaction (β = 0.210, p < 0.01) and negatively predicts Academic Procrastination (β = -0.380, p < 0.001). The Bootstrap test confirmed that Academic Procrastination significantly mediates the relationship (Indirect Effect = 0.173, 95% CI [0.101, 0.250]), supporting a Partial Mediation model. This finding affirms that spiritual discipline reinforced by Tarbiyah Al-Qalb (Irfani et al., 2024) and muhasabah mechanisms (Al-Ghazali, n.d.) is an effective mechanism for enhancing adolescent Life Satisfaction through the suppression of procrastination behavior. The study's implications suggest strengthening Spiritual Self-Control as a primary strategy for Guidance and Counseling services.
