Abstract

Drinking water is a basic human need and must meet health requirements. Drinking water depots are a means of filling drinking water which is in the process of processing raw water using treatment and sterilization system. Drinking water depots as providers of drinking water must also meet the requirements of sanitation hygiene and personal hygiene management must also be maintained so that the water produced meets health requirements. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of sanitation hygiene and personal hygiene management of refill drinking water depots on the quality of drinking water in terms of the Most Probable Number Coliform in Kediri. The research design used was analytic observational with cross sectional approach. The population of all refill drinking water depots in Kediri is 57, with the sampling technique that is Simple Random Sampling, where a portion of refill drinking water depots in Kediri are 50. Data is collected by check list, questionnaire and laboratory examination. The results showed that most of the hygiene sanitation of the drinking water depot had fulfilled the requirements of 77%, the drinking water personal hygiene depot was good as much as 85% and those who met the drinking water requirements were 70%. The results of the hygiene feasibility analysis showed the value of Sig 0.000<0.05 (R=0.935) means that there was an effect of hygiene sanitation quality with water quality in terms of the Most Probable Number Coliform. While the personal hygiene value of Sig 0.001 <0.05 (R = 0.528) indicates that there is a personal hygiene influence with water quality in terms of the Most Probable Number Coliform. The results of Logistic Regression test showed that there were effects of sanitation hygiene and personal hygiene management of refill drinking water depots with water quality in terms of the Most Probable Number Coliform with a significance value = 0.000 <a 0.05. This shows that the hygiene and the better personal hygiene at refill drinking water depots is increasingly fulfilling water quality requirements in terms of the Most Probable Number Coliform

Abstract

Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) spreads quickly through droplets from the patient's nose or mouth, falls on objects around them, and becomes the transmission source for others. Therefore, the community prevents COVID-19 transmission by spraying disinfectants in the environment and using sanitary booths for humans despite not being recommended by the Indonesian government and WHO because it's a health risk. This study analyzes the benefits and risks of spraying disinfectants in public spaces during the Coronavirus Disease 2019 pandemic. This study used six database sources: Pubmed ScienceDirect, ResearchGate, Google Scholar, Pusat Penelitian dan Pengembangan Upaya Kesehatan Masyarakat (Puslitbang Ukesmas), and Elsevier during 2016-2021, with inclusion and exclusion criteria selected by the authors on PRISMA flow diagram. There were 15 articles matching those criteria. Nine concluded that spraying disinfectants in the community could prevent the spread of COVID-19. In addition, it was efficient for surface objects and large areas. Furthermore, ≤ 200 ppm chlorine-based disinfectants and 15% alcohol-based were safe to use. Meanwhile, six articles revealed a risk of spraying disinfectants due to improper disinfectants mixing and spraying disinfectants on food and the body. In conclusion, spraying disinfectants in the community is safe for the eyes, respiratory tract, and skin of humans. It also can prevent the spread of Coronavirus Disease 2019 when the method, material, and usage are appropriate.

Abstract

Objective:  To find out the implementation of Minister of Health Regulation 65/2015 regarding Physiotherapy Service Standards and Minister of Health Regulation 43/2019 regarding Health Centers (Puskesmas) in the East Java region Physiotherapy as a health worker is regulated in the Physiotherapy service standard at the Puskesmas. Health center regulations do not have physiotherapists. Methods: This study uses a descriptive qualitative method, aiming to get a general understanding of reality from the participant's perspective. through in-depth interviews with informants. Sampling is non-probability with the type of purposive sampling. The inclusion criteria were the Head of the City/Regency Health Office whose working area did not yet have physiotherapy services at the Puskesmas and was willing to be an informant. While the exclusion criteria were the Head of the City/Regency Health Office whose work area already had physiotherapy services at the Puskesmas and was willing to be an informant. Sources of data obtained from interviews with informants and secondary data through document studies. The interview included an understanding of the meaning of physiotherapy in relation to services at the Puskesmas. based on Permenkes 65/2015 and what is his opinion about the presence of physiotherapists in several health centers in East Java. Document studies were obtained from the laws and regulations concerning physiotherapy and Puskesmas. Results:  Most of the informants interpreted physiotherapy as health workers in referral services, namely hospitals and joined in rehabilitation services. Not all informants understand about physiotherapy services at the Puskesmas because in writing there are no physiotherapists in Permenkes 43/2019. Meanwhile, the understanding of rehabilitation is interpreted as secondary and even tertiary services. The services at the Puskesmas are primary services, which are more promotive and preventive. Informants are of the opinion that the presence of personnel in the Puskesmas depends on the policies of each region and also the needs.Addition of personnel at the Puskesmas has an impact on regional budgets and capabilities, besides there is no clear list of service activities. The study of the Permenkes 65/2015 document clearly states the existence of physiotherapy services at the Puskesmas, but in Permenkes 43/2019 it has not been clearly stated that there are physiotherapists. Conclusion:  The implementation of Permenkes 65/2015 concerning Standards for Physiotherapy Services, especially in Puskesmas in the East Java region is still very minimal, namely 62 out of 968 Puskesmas (6.4%). Permenkes 43/2019 regarding Puskesmas has not stated the presence of physiotherapists, so there is no synchronization of laws and regulations related to physiotherapy services.

Abstract

Compliance of health workers using Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in the current pandemic conditions is more important to pay attention to because negligence in its use can endanger their safety. In fact, there are still many health workers who do not comply in using PPE according to predetermined standards. The study aims to determine the relationship between knowledge factors, attitudes towards the use of PPE and the availability of PPE with the compliance of health workers in the use of PPE in the Inpatient Installation of Kanjuruhan Hospital, Malang Regency. The study is correlational in design with a cross-sectional approach. The population of all health workers at the Wonosari Health Center, Kepanjen and Ngajum, Malang Regency, who focus on handling COVID-19. Determination of sample members using simple random sampling technique, a sample of 73 respondents. Data collection using questionnaire instruments, and data analysis using the Spearman test. Spearman's test results showed that there was a relationship between knowledge factors (p= 0.000,= 0.491), attitudes towards the use of PPE (p= 0.000, = 0.705), and the availability of PPE (p = 0.000, = 0.763) with the compliance of health workers in the use of PPE. Knowledge is related to compliance with the use of PPE because with good knowledge, health workers will increasingly realize the importance of using PPE for their safety. The attitude related to compliance with the use of PPE because of the positive attitude of health workers towards the importance of using PPE, is a situation where health workers view the use of PPE as an important thing to implement for their own safety, causing a tendency to behave towards compliance in the use of PPE. The availability of PPE is related to compliance with the use of PPE because to be able to comply with the use of PPE, of course, health workers need adequate facilities.
