Abstract

Guru kurang mengoptimalkan pemberian penguatan dalam membangkitkan kemampuan kognisi peserta didik dalam belajar fisika. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh pembelajaran dengan pendekatan metakognitif melalui model pembelajaran berbasis masalah (PBL) dan  pembelajaran berbalik (reciprocal learning) antara peserta didik yang memiliki kedisiplinan belajar tinggi dan  kedisiplinan belajar rendah terhadap prestasi belajar. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimental dengan desain faktorial 2x2x2. Populasi penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas XI IPA SMAN 1 Sambungmacan tahun 2016/2017. Sampel diperoleh dengan teknik cluster random sampling didapatkan kelas XI IPA 1 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas XI IPA 3 sebagai kelompok kontrol. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik tes untuk hasil belajar kognitifnya serta teknik angket untuk kedisiplinan belajar dan observasi untuk hasil belajar sikap dan keterampilannya. Analisis datanya menggunakan anava 2 jalan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Terdapat perbedaan  hasil belajar antara peserta didik yang diberi pembelajaran Fisika model PBL dan dengan pembelajaran Fisika model reciprocal learning. (2) Terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar antara peserta didik yang memiliki kekedisiplinan belajar tinggi dan kedisiplinan belajar rendah. (3) Tidak terdapat interaksi antara pembelajaran fisika model PBL dan pembelajaran Fisika model reciprocal learning dengan kedisiplinan belajar peserta didik.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan berpikir analitis mahasiswa dengan penerapan model pembelajaran inkuiri bebas. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode eksperimen dengan desain Two-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. Subjek penelitian merupakan mahasiswa semester II pendidikan fisika Universitas Sebelas Maret, Surakarta sejumlah 29 mahasiswa kelas eksperimen dan 29 mahasiswa kelas kontrol. Data diperoleh menggunakan pretest dan posttest kemudian dihitung gain ternormalisasi (N-gain). Analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan uji-t dua sampel tidak berhubungan (independent sample t-test). Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa ada perbedaan yang signifikan N-gain kemampuan berpikir analitis kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol dengan signifikansi sebesar 0,001. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran inkuiri bebas dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir analitis mahasiswa.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan alat percobaan muai panjang zat padat sederhana, yang berfungsi menunjukkan faktor-faktor penyebab terjadinya muai panjang dan menghitung nilai koefisien muai panjang (α) benda. Benda yang diukur koefisien muai panjangnya adalah kawat bendrat aluminium dan kawat besi. Pengembangan alat percobaan muai panjang ini merupakan bagian dari penelitian dan pengembangan modul pembelajaran. Alat percobaan muai panjang ini diujicobakan dan diterapkan oleh siswa SMA kelas X saat mempelajari konsep suhu dan pemuaian. Berdasarkan percobaan siswa, alat percobaan muai panjang dapat menunjukkan pengaruh dan hubungan antara panjang awal (L), koefisien muai panjang (α), dan pertambahan suhu (ΔT) dengan muai panjang (ΔL) kawat. Selain itu, berdasarkan perhitungan salah satu hasil percobaan siswa, koefisien muai panjang kawat bendrat aluminium dan kawat besi berturut-turut bernilai sebesar dan .

Abstract

This study aimed to develop and determine the quality of the illustrative module of guided inquiry-based physics learning with character education. This research was a development research (R&D) which refers to the Borg & Gall model. The limited trial was carried out on 10 grade VII students and the expanded trial was carried out on 31 grade VIIA students at SMP Negeri 24 Surakarta. The data were taken using test techniques for cognitive learning outcomes, and observation techniques for character and psychomotor learning outcomes. Furthermore, it was analyzed by using two-sample paired t-test, while the psychomotor and affective learning outcomes were analyzed using the Friedman test. The results showed that the illustrative module of guided inquiry-based Physics learning containing character education was developed to have a total average score of 265.5 with the "very good" category. In conclusion, there was an increase in student learning outcomes after following the learning process using this developed illustrative module. Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to determine the effectiveness of natural science modules with discovery learning to enhance students' critical thinking skills in the topic of material classification and its changes. Critical thinking skills are one of the essential skills of the 21st century and are needed in various fields. Students with high critical thinking skills in general also can calculate various possibilities so that they can make decisions by applying logical thinking. Discovery learning trains students to build knowledge and develop student competencies independently. The research method was quasi-experimental with a nonequivalent pretest and posttest control groups design. The sampling technique employed was purposive sampling. The research instrument used a test of critical thinking skills. Data analysis was carried out with a different power test (t-test) to determine the difference between the experimental and control classes, and an N-Gain calculation was done to determine the effectiveness of the discovery learning module. The results showed a difference in critical thinking skills between the experimental class and the control class. The N-Gain result of the experimental class was 0.59, with a moderate category, and the control class was 0.31, with a moderate category.

Abstract

One of the goals of learning physics is to help students develop their critical thinking skills. Preliminary studies conducted at SMAN 1 Pacitan show that the learning process is still teacher-centered with the lecture method and providing practice questions. Such a learning process causes the development of student's critical thinking skills to be less well-stimulated. Using e-modules in physics learning is expected to be a new solution to stimulate students' critical thinking skills. This research aims to determine the impact of Problem-Based learning physics electronic module integrated with STEM on students' critical thinking skills. The research method uses a quasi-experimental technique with a one-group pretest-posttest design. Data analysis used the N-gain test to determine the increase in students' critical thinking skills and the t-test to determine the effect of problem-based learning electronic module integrated with STEM on students' critical thinking skills. The sample was selected using a purposive sampling strategy. The samples involved were 34 students of class XI MIPA Senior High School Pacitan. The test was conducted to collect data on students' critical thinking skills. Research data was collected using an essay test of critical thinking skills totaling twelve valid questions with a reliability coefficient 0.70. Before the N-gain test was carried out, the normality, homogeneity, and t-test were first carried out. In the normality test, the data is normally distributed. In the homogeneity test, the data is homogeneous. Based on the paired sample t-test, it shows that there is a significant difference between pretest and posttest critical thinking skills with a sig. (2-tailed) <0.05, which indicates that the problem-based learning electronic module integrated with STEM has a positive effect on students' critical thinking skills. By acquiring an N-Gain score of 0.76 in the high category, the PBL physics electronic module integrated with STEM on mechanical wave characteristics material can improve students' critical thinking skills.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has increasingly demanded the implementation of online learning in Indonesia. This study aimed to determine the indicators influencing the effectiveness of online learning in Indonesian higher education during the COVID-19 pandemic. The study employed a mixed-methods approach. We conducted an online survey of 201 lecturers teaching courses during the even semester of 2019/2020 and 1,983 students in 18 higher educations then followed up with an online interview with the lecturers, the head of the study program, and the institute of quality assurance of four chosen institutions. The results showed that besides the lecturer’s information technology capabilities, the new indicators of online learning effectiveness in higher education during the COVID-19 pandemic were the availability of assessment guidelines, semester learning plan guidelines, academic position, type of lecturer publication, lecturer certification, and workload.

Abstract

Research on educational games for managing green bean seeds is important because it can increase children's understanding of agriculture, ecosystems and environmental responsibility. This also supports the development of ecological awareness from an early age and encourages future generations to care more about nature. Therefore, this research aims to identify the need for educational games that can facilitate students learning to manage green bean seeds. The research method is mixed research. The data collected is in the form of quantitative and qualitative data. Quantitative data collection techniques through giving questionnaires to 19 elementary school students. Qualitative data was obtained from observations of learning activities with the research subject, namely Grade 5 teachers. Quantitative data was analyzed through descriptive analysis with percentages, and qualitative data was analyzed using the Bogdan and Biklen model. The results of the analysis of observation activities during learning show that teachers still dominate material delivery activities, and rarely use digital learning media because they are limited to text-based learning media. This is also reinforced by student questionnaire responses which show that the majority of students are familiar with using Android smartphones. However, their smartphone use is mostly for entertainment such as watching YouTube and playing games, not for learning purposes. From the results of this research, it is clear that there are opportunities for developing educational games because students prefer to use smartphones to access games. Furthermore, most of them expressed interest in using this educational game so they could learn the material at home.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze: (1) differences in the effect of using learning media mobile pocket book and electronic book on student knowledge learning outcomes on Global Warming material, (2) differences in the effect of critical thinking skills with high and low categories on student knowledge learning outcomes on Global Warming material, (3) interaction between learning media mobile pocket book and electronic book with critical thinking skills on student knowledge learning outcomes on Global Warming material. This study used a quasi-experimental method with a sample of grade XI students’ divided into two classes. The data analysis technique used was Kruskal-Wallis Test. The results showed: (1) there is a difference in the effect of using learning media mobile pocket book and electronic book on student knowledge learning outcomes, (2) there is no difference in the effect of critical thinking skills with high and low categories on student knowledge learning outcomes on Global Warming material, (3) there is an interaction between learning media mobile pocket book and electronic book with critical thinking skills on student knowledge learning outcomes on Global Warming material.

Abstract

Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta (DIY) menghadapi masalah serius dalam pengelolaan sampah akibat tingginya jumlah penduduk dan banyaknya pendatang. Penutupan sementara TPA Piyungan pada tahun 2023 memperparah situasi. Menyikapi masalah ini, sebuah program di Pedukuhan Kalirandu melibatkan siswa MI dan MTS Al-Hadi II dalam kegiatan pengelolaan sampah plastik. Program ini bertujuan meningkatkan kesadaran lingkungan, mengajarkan teknik pemilahan sampah, dan mendorong kreativitas dengan mengubah botol plastik bekas menjadi pot untuk menanam Tanaman Obat Keluarga (TOGA). Kegiatan ini tidak hanya mengurangi sampah plastik tetapi juga memberikan manfaat kesehatan dan keindahan lingkungan. Program ini berhasil menumbuhkan kesadaran dan tanggung jawab lingkungan pada remaja, serta menunjukkan bahwa kolaborasi antara pemerintah, sekolah, dan masyarakat dapat efektif dalam menangani masalah lingkungan di DIY.
