AmirABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk 1) meningkatkan motivasi belajar IPS melaluipenerapan metode sosiodrama. 2) meningkatkan sikap percaya diri melaluipenerapan metode sosiodrama. 3) meningkatkan prestasi belajar IPSmelalui penerapan metode sosiodrama. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswakelas VIII-A SMP Negeri 33 Purworejo yang berjumlah 34 siswa.Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas yang dilaksanakan duasiklus. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan angket dan tes. Analisisdata menggunakan analisis deskriptif kuantitatif dengan presentase.Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan 1) motivasi belajar IPSdapat ditingkatkan dengan penerapan metode sosiodrama, hal ini dibuktikanpra siklus siswa 14 siswa ( 41.18%), naik pada siklus I 25 siswa (73,53%),dan pada siklus II 30 siswa (88,24%). 2) Sikap percaya diri dapatditingkatkan dengan penerapan metode sosiodrama, hal ini dibuktikan prasiklus 11 siswa ( 32,35%), naik pada siklus I 23 siswa (67,65%), dan padasiklus II 31 siswa (91,18%). 3) Prestasi belajar IPS dapat ditingkatkandengan penerapan metode sosiodrama, hal ini dibuktikan siswa mencapaiKKM pada pra siklus 9 siswa (26,47%,), naik pada siklus I 24 siswa(70,59%), dan pada siklus II 32 siswa (94,12%).Kata Kunci: motivasi, percaya diri, prestasi belajar, metode sosiodramaThis study aims to 1) improve students' motivation to learn social studiesthrough the implementation of sociodrama method. 2) improve the attitudeof self confidence through the implementation of sociodrama method. 3)improve IPS learning achievement through the implementation ofsociodrama method. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded 1)motivation to learn IPS can be improved by the application of sociodramamethod, It can be seen from pre-cycle 14 students (41.18% ), the first cycleincreased to be 25 students (73.53%), and the second cycle increased to be30 students (88.24%). 2) A self confident attitude can be improved by theapplication of sociodrama methods, It can be seen from pre-cycle 11students (32.35%), the the first cycle 23 students (67.65%), and the secondcycle 31 students (91.18%). 3) social studies achievement can be improvedby the application of sociodrama method.
