Abstract

This study aimed to investigate the impact of TikTok integration on students’ speaking achievement at SMAN 2 Sorong Regency, West Papua. Many senior high school students struggle with English speaking due to limited practice opportunities, low confidence, and lack of motivation. To address this issue, the researcher implemented TikTok as a digital learning platform to provide students with engaging opportunities to practice speaking English creatively and independently. This research employed a pre-experimental quantitative design using a one-group pre-test and post-test model. The population consisted of eleventh-grade students during the 2023/2024 academic year, with 30 students selected through purposive sampling. A speaking test was administered before and after six sessions of TikTok-based learning activities. Students’ performances were evaluated in terms of fluency, pronunciation, vocabulary, grammar, and confidence using a standardized speaking rubric. The results revealed a significant improvement in students’ speaking scores after the treatment. The mean score increased from 57.13 in the pre-test to 76.47 in the post-test, with a significance value of 0.000 (< 0.05), indicating that TikTok integration had a positive effect on students’ speaking achievement. Students became more confident, fluent, and expressive in using English as they practiced through video recording, peer feedback, and self-reflection. The study concludes that TikTok can serve as an effective and motivating tool for enhancing students’ speaking ability. It offers teachers a creative approach to integrate technology into English instruction and provides students with enjoyable, authentic opportunities to communicate in English.

Abstract

This study aims to improve arithmetic skills through the use of a Snakes and Ladders Mathematics board game as a learning medium. The research was motivated by the low numeracy performance of second-grade students at SD Negeri Glagahombo 1. The teacher plays a crucial role in designing innovative and enjoyable learning strategies that encourage students to engage actively. Before the intervention, the learning success rate was only 50% with an average score of 69,92, which was below the minimum mastery criterion of 75. To address this issue, the researcher and teacher collaborated to implement the "Snakes and Ladders" mathematics instructional tool. This Classroom Action Research was conducted in two cycles. The findings showed that in the first cycle, the success rate increased to 79% with an average score of 78,18. In the second cycle, the success rate reached 100% with an average score of 88,77. The second cycle confirmed that all 24 students achieved the mastery criterion. In conclusion, the application of Snake and Ladder Mathematics successfully enhanced the arithmetic ability of second-grade students at SD Negeri Glagahombo 1.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to develop interactive learning media based on Adobe Flash CS6 to improve feasible, practical, and effective student learning outcomes. The research and development method is Research and Development with the ADDIE model. Based on the study, it shows that interactive learning media based on Adobe Flash CS6 has been developed as a learning medium for Pancasila education. The results of the media expert validation test obtained a score of 81% (very feasible) and material experts 80% (feasible). Based on the practicality test, the assessment of teacher responses obtained a percentage of 80% (practical) and students 93.7% (very practical). The effectiveness of the learning media was determined by the Paired Sample t-Test test, obtained pretest and posttest results have a Sig. (2-tailed) value of 0.000, so the Sig. (2-tailed) value <0.05. These results indicate a difference between the pretest and posttest results. Thus, the interactive learning media based on Adobe Flash CS6 that has been refined based on input from validators and experts is considered feasible, practical, and effective as a learning medium for Pancasila education.

Abstract

The principal is one of the key factors in determining the quality of education. Referring to its functions and roles, the principal functions as the manager and leader of the school education institution. Effective management and leadership requires principals who embody modeling and transformational leadership, demonstrated by characteristics such as ideal influence, motivational inspiration, intellectual stimulation and individual consideration. This is the challenge for school principals to manage change well for the sake of sustainability and continuous improvement of school quality. They must empower teaching staff, work under clear time frames, build interpersonal relationships, develop fairness and principles of accountability, and be able to work in teams.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji problematika mahalnya biaya pendidikan yang kini banyak terjadi. Metode yang digunakan ialah studi kasus mengenai beberapa kejadian yang telah terjadi. Studi kasus adalah metode penelitian yang mendalam dan terperinci terhadap satu atau beberapa kasus yang spesifik, dengan tujuan untuk memahami secara mendalam tentang kasus tersebut. Pembiayaan pendidikan merupakan aspek krusial yang menopang kelangsungan dan kualitas pendidikan.  Pemimpin sekolah memiliki peran krusial dalam mengoptimalkan penggunaan dana sekolah. Penelitian ini juga mengkaji terkait perencanaan dana di sekolah yaitu Rencana Anggaran Pendapatan Belanja Sekolah (RAPBS).  RAPBS tidak hanya sebagai instrumen pengelolaan keuangan sekolah, tetapi juga sebagai alat untuk memastikan transparansi, akuntabilitas, dan efektivitas dalam penggunaan sumber daya untuk meningkatkan mutu pendidikan di sekolah.

Abstract

Menggali potensi daerah serta melihat permasalahan masyarakat Kabupaten Belitung Timur merupakan tujuan dari penelitian ini. Dari hasil potensi ini akan dibuat kajian maupunrekomendasi dari potensi daerah diantaranya, Pengentasan Kemiskinan, Pengelolaan Lingkungan dan Kawasan, Pengembangan. Pemetaan program dilakukan dengan metode pemetaan partisipatif dengan pendekatan pemantuan cepat (Rapid Appraisal Methods). Metode pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara terstruktur dengan kuesioner, wawancara mendalam dengan panduan pertanyaan, pengamatan, dan Focus Group Discussion (FGD). Hasil dari pemetaan program ada beberapa potensi yang bisa dijadikan sebagai program unggulan diantaranya adalah Program Sekolah Perempuan, Program Budidaya Madu serta Program pengembangan desa wisata Eks Jepang.

Abstract

The village government is the lowest level of government in the government structure, so it is mandatory to provide valid basic data as a source of information in government institutions. Based on this, the village government should have prepared a population database that is systematic and well-stored. However, it is undeniable that not all villages in Indonesia have a population database that is wellorganized, including in Salakan Village at that time. When the community service team first coordinated with the Head of Salakan Village, information was obtained that the population data storage owned by Salakan Village had been computerized with ordinary Microsoft Excel, but had not been made systematically due to the limited capabilities of village officials regarding the Microsoft Excel application. This motivated the community service team to provide additional insight that the population data storage that was already owned could be improved into systematic data. The improvement was carried out through training in creating a database using Microsoft Excel 2010 for the Salakan Village apparatus on Saturday, July 11, 2020. The results of this training, the participants have understood that population data can be created systematically by creating a database using Microsoft Excel 2010, and most of the participants have also succeeded in practicing it.

Abstract

During the Covid-19 pandemic, all lines had to do 3M, namely washing hands, wearing masks and maintaining distance. The policy taken by the government during the Covid-19 pandemic was that all citizens were required to work from home to anticipate the spread of the virus. One of the impacts of this policy is the decline in the community's economy, so the government provides assistance to the community to help the economy. In order to receive this assistance, the Dukuh Village government must collect data on its residents affected by Covid-19. The data collection process cannot be carried out face to face and most Dukuh Village officials are not yet able to take advantage of technological advances. This is motivation for the service team to help provide solutions by holding training on creating Google forms for Dukuh Village officials as a medium for collecting data on residents affected by Covid-19. The aim of providing this training is so that the Dukuh Village Government can obtain valid data and continue to follow the health protocols set by the government. The hope is that the expertise possessed by Dukuh Village officials can then be used for other purposes according to the needs of the village government.

One of the marketing media carried out to develop the business is by making marketing media based on website profiles and digital catalogs. The data collection method used is observation, interview and documentation. The results of the website profile and digital catalog are expected to be able to support the progress of Warmindo 3 Sabahat.

Abstract

The uneven distribution of teachers in Indonesia is a very important problem that affects the quality of education. This study aims to find out the factors that cause uneven distribution as well as what the impact is and how solutions must be done. The research method used in this study is the library research method, which is by collecting data sources in the form of journal articles, books, and documents related to the subject matter of this study. After the research data is collected, the next step is to analyze the data by reading and taking notes, then drawing conclusions. The results of this study show that the factors that cause the uneven distribution of teachers are the absence of regulations on the placement and distribution of teachers in the form of a strong legal umbrella, the weak education information data system, weak supervision and law enforcement, and the strength of the local political elite game. Meanwhile, the impact of uneven distribution of teachers is an impact on the uneven quality of education, low graduation rates, social and economic inequality, as well as a decrease in learning motivation and academic achievement of students. Thus, this research provides a solution for the government to provide better policies for teachers in remote areas, and utilize information technology for education. That way, it is hoped that the uneven distribution of teachers can be overcome so that the quality of education in Indonesia can increase evenly.
