Abstract

KATA KUNCI: baduta; perkembangan anak; status gizi; stunting                                                                                                                                                                                    ABSTRACTBackground: The development of children aged 1-24 months is significantly influenced by nutritional status. Malnutrition can inhibit physical and cognitive growth, and increase the risk of stunting. WHO data in 2024 recorded 23.2% of children under 5 years old experiencing stunting. Meanwhile, the Indonesian Nutritional Status Survey report showed a prevalence of 19.8% in 2024. The Bantul Health Office recorded 7.01% of toddlers experiencing stunting in June 2024, while the Srandakan Community Health Center recorded the highest prevalence at 13.94%.Objective: To determine the relationship between nutritional status and the development of children aged 1-24 months.Method: This analytical survey with a cross-sectional design was conducted at the integrated health service post (posyandu) in the working area of the Srandakan Community Health Center. Total of 104 children aged 1-24 months were selected through cluster random sampling. Nutritional status was measured using anthropometry and child development using the KPSP. Data analysis used the Spearman Rank correlation test. Results: The majority of children had good nutritional status (83.7%) and appropriate development (68.3%). Statistical analysis using the Spearman Rank test showed no significant relationship between nutritional status and child development with a p-value of 0.976.Conclusion: This study shows no significant relationship between nutritional status and development in children aged 1–24 months in the Srandakan Community Health Center (Puskesmas) area, Bantul. Although most children had normal nutrition, developmental variations were found across all nutrition groups. These findings indicate that other factors—such as stimulation, parenting practices, and the psychosocial environment—also play a significant role. Therefore, improving child development requires integrating nutritional interventions with more targeted parenting education and stimulation. KEYWORD: child development; infant; nutritional status; stunting  Article submitted on August 05, 2025; Articles revised on September 11, 2025; Articles received on November 20, 2025; Articles available online on November 28, 2025

Abstract

Oil palm is a strategic commodity that plays a vital role in Indonesia's economy, but its productivity is often hindered by weed infestation. Chemical weed control commonly relies on synthetic herbicides, which pose environmental risks. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of a new natural-based herbicide formulation consisting of fermented coconut water, ethanol, acetic acid, salt, and low-dose glyphosate in immature oil palm plantations. The research employed a single-factor Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) with nine formulation treatments and three replications. Vegetation analysis revealed three dominant weed species in the experimental area: Borreria alata, Ageratum conyzoides, and Asystasia gangetica. The results indicated that all herbicide formulations were able to suppress weed populations and dry weight, although the differences were not statistically significant. Numerically, Formulation 8 (F8) provided the best results, achieving a weed mortality rate of up to 99%. In contrast to previous formulations requiring high application volumes (35–50 L/ha), this new formulation is more efficient at a dosage of 4–6 L/ha. This formulation works synergistically, is environmentally friendly, and has the potential to support sustainable agricultural practices

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of bibliocounseling techniques in reducing bullying behavior at SMK Negeri 5 Bantaeng. The study focuses on three main areas, namely the description of student bullying behavior, the description of the implementation of group counseling services using bibliocounseling techniques, and the effect of these techniques on reducing bullying behavior. The study uses a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design and a nonequivalent control group design. The research population consisted of all 22 students in class IX PMS, while the sample consisted of 12 students who were divided proportionally into an experimental group and a control group, each consisting of six students. The research instruments included a bullying behavior scale and observation guidelines. Data analysis was performed using descriptive statistics and parametric tests using the t-test. The results showed that the level of bullying behavior in the pretest stage in both groups was in the high category. After receiving treatment through bibliocounseling, the experimental group showed a significant decrease to the low category, while the control group remained in the high category. Bibliocounseling was carried out in five stages, namely preparation, reading literacy, self-exploration, providing in-depth insight, and follow-up. During the counseling process, student participation was excellent, and they began to realize the impact of their bullying behavior. Overall, the results of the study confirmed a significant difference between the experimental group and the control group. Thus, the bibliocounseling technique proved to be effective in reducing bullying behavior at SMK Negeri 5 Bantaeng.

Abstract

Academic self-handicapping is a critical issue as it may hinder students’ academic achievement and personal development. This study aimed to describe the tendency of such behavior among junior high school students. A quantitative descriptive approach was employed. The participants consisted of 83 students who completed an academic self-handicapping questionnaire. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics by categorizing scores into very high, high, moderate, and low levels, and by mapping them into behavioral and claimed self-handicapping dimensions. The findings revealed that 7 students (9%) were in the very high category, 39 students (47%) in the high category, 31 students (37%) in the moderate category, and 6 students (7%) in the low category. In terms of behavioral forms, 48 students (58%) predominantly exhibited behavioral self-handicapping, while 35 students (42%) showed greater tendencies toward claimed self-handicapping. These results indicate a relatively high level of self-handicapping, primarily expressed through observable behaviors that may negatively affect academic performance. The findings highlight the importance of guidance and counseling interventions to promote more adaptive learning strategies
