Abstract

Abstract. This research aims to determine whether there is influence of the Remap Coople NHT model on student learning outcomes. The independent variables in this study are Remap Coople NHT and direct instructional learning with lecture method, while the dependent variable is learning outcomes of students. The population in this study were all students of class XI MIA SMA Negeri 1 Palopo which consisted of 6 classes. The research sample was selected by random sampling technique, namely XI MIA 1 as an experimental group with 30 students and XI MIA 2 as a control group with 30 students. Data retrieval method is by using a written test in the form of multiple choice questions totaling 20 numbers in accordance with the learning objectives. The collected research were analyzed using descriptive statistics and inferential statistics. The results showed that there was an effect of the application of the Remap Coople NHT model on the learning outcomes of students in SMA Negeri 1 Palopo.  Keywords: remap coople nht, direct instructional, learning outcomes

Abstract

Abstract. Conventional learning model with lecture method that teacher- centered was still dominating and usually used by teacher in learning proccess at high school. Teacher needed learning model that can increase student cognitive retention. This research aims to determine whether there is influence of the cooperative learning Jigsaw-type model on retention of cognitive. The design is Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. The population in this study were all students of class X MIPA SMA Negeri 5 Wajo which consisted of 3 classes. The research sample was selected by random sampling technique, namely X MIPA 2 as an experimental group with 23 students and X MIPA 3 as a control group with 26 students. Data collected by using a multiple choice test totaling 20 numbers. The collected research was analyzed using descriptive statistics and inferential statistics. The results showed that there was an effect of the application of the cooperative learning Jigsaw-type model on retention of cognitive of students in SMA Negeri 5 Wajo. Teacher can use this model in other lectures considere with the material characteristic. Keywords: Jigsaw-type, Retention of Cognitive, Biology Learning

Abstract

Abstract. This research aims to find out: the knowledge and the attitude of community environmental sanitation in Tamalate Subdistrict, Makassar City, and the maintenance of Community- based Communal Wastewater Treatment Plant in Tamalate Subdistrict, Makassar City, the relationship between environmental sanitation knowledge and maintenance of Community-Based Wastewater Treatment Plant in Tamalate Subdistrict, Makassar City, the relationship between knowledge of environmental sanitation and the maintenance of Community Based Wastewater Treatment Plant in Tamalate subdistrict, Makassar City. This research was a quantitative descriptive research with applying a correlational approach. The population of this research was all household users from 10 locations of communal Wastewater Treatment Plant in Tamalate District, Makassar City. The sampling technique was conducted by using purposive random sampling technique. The instruments of this research used knowledge tests, attitude questionnaires and observation sheets. The results of this research showed that the knowledge of environmental sanitation of user community and Communal IPAL administrators in Tamalate Subdistrict, Makassar City is in the high category. and the knowledge are significantly related and positive direction with maintenance of Community-Based Wastewater Treatment Plant in Tamalate Subdistrict, Makassar City, it is influenced by education level and the socio-economic conditions are still low but if the knowledge and attitude of the community is good, then the maintenance of IPAL will also be good. Keywords: knowledge, environmental sanitation, maintenance of IPAL

Abstract

Abstract.  This study aims to create a learning material product contains scientific process activities for increasing the activity and optimize skill of student which is valid. The development study has done refers to ADDIE model with five processes that, analyze, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. Based on analysis of the result of validation test, this cell worksheet has validity value for 80,6%, so it is valid. This result refers metabolism student worksheet is valid. Abstract

Abstract.  The effectiveness of a learning innovation cannot ignore the important aspects of student characteristics. The purpose of this study was to describe the response of high school teachers and students to blended learning (BL) using quipper school. Respondents of this study were 21 teachers and 81 students of class XI MIA 1 SMA Pangkajene Sidrap, Sidrap Regency. The response of teachers and students to the use of quipper school in blended learning in biology learning, measured by the teacher and student response questionnaire. The results showed that teachers and students gave a positive response to the use of quipper shool in BL. This proves that the use of quipper school in BL is effectively used in high school learning by considering various aspects such as student characteristics, availability of supporting facilities and infrastructure, and the ability of teachers to use technology. Abstract

This research is a quasi-experimental study that aims to determine the effectiveness of the implementation of Project-based Learning (PjBL) in improving students' cognitive learning outcomes with different learning styles namely visual, audio and kinesthetic learning styles. The population of this study was all groups at X grade in Public High School 1 Bulukumba. Sample of the study was choosed by random sampling. Each learning model was represented by two groups as PjBL and Direct Instruction. The research sample used was group XI IPA 1, XI IPA 2, XI IPA 3, and XI IPA 4. The design of this study was pretest-posttest nonequivalent control group design factorial pattern 2 x 3. The research instrument consisted of essay tests to measure cognitive learning outcomes and students learning style questionnaire. The research data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics with two-way analysis of covariate (ANCOVA). The results showed that PjBL and learning styles had an effect on students 'cognitive learning outcomes, while the interaction between learning models and learning styles did not affect students' cognitive learning outcomes. This shows that PjBL is effective in improving students' cognitive learning outcomes.Keywords: Project-based Learning, learning styles, cognitive learning outcomes, biology learning

Abstract

Abstract. Technological developments affect people's lifestyles. Including in high school students, currently many high school students have an Android-based mobile phone whose utilization is not maximal. The use of learning media is something that cannot be separated and is already an integration of the learning methods used, learning media can explain what the teacher is less able to say through words, so abstractness in a subject concept can be concretized. This study aims to determine the potential use of android-based learning media in the XI class of high school animal material. With the use of android students can repeat animal network material and students can better understand the concepts in learning, can repeat lessons that have not yet been understood as a result of lack of face-to-face time in class, and can also make students independent learning because of the availability of subject matter which can be accessed anywhere using Android. The results of this study indicate that the use of android in learning can attract students' interest and motivation in learning and also help students understand concepts in animal tissue material and can make students learn independently. The development of animation learning media that can be run on an Android-based device can increase the benefits of using Android-based devices and help the learning process of students using Android-based devices. This development and research use research and development design based on the ADDIE development model.Keywords: android application, learning media

Abstract

Abstract. The objective of the study is to find out science process skills students on discovery learning in class XI of Senior High School 9 of Maros. This study was descriptive research. The groups chosen as the study sample are XI MIPA 1 with number of students 35 people.  The research data is observation of the student’s science process skills. data analysis technique with descriptive statistics. Descriptive statistics are used to describe students' science process skills. The results showed that the average increase in students' science process skills at the first meeting was 66.50%, increasing to 75.07% at the second meeting, and increasing to 81.11% at the third meeting. and is in the category of sufficient to good category. The conclusion of this research is the science process skills of grade XI MIPA  1 of SMAN 9 Maros can be improving through based discovery learning. Keywords: discovery learning, science process skills

Abstract

Abstract.  Global demands require the world of education to always adjust technological developments towards efforts to improve the quality of education. This study aims to determine the potential and needs of lecturers and students in biology classroom, which will be used as a base in the development of blended learning integrated with PBLRQA strategy (Problem-Based Learning and Reading, Questioning & Answering) on biology classroom. This research was a descriptive research. The results of this study showed that lecturers and students need a learning environment that integrates technology in learning, allowing students to communicate and obtain information from various sources. The use of technology in learning with blended learning integrated with PBLRQA strategy can create the learning environment more effective, efficient, and interesting, suitable with students' interest in the use of interactive media such as laptops and smartphones. By using technology, abstract material in biology can be more easily understood and problems related to biological learning expected to be resolved.
