Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana eksistensi ulama dan umat Islam dalam dalam revolusi sosial di Kabupaten Brebes tahun 1945, kemunculan haluan kiri yang menyertai revolusi sosial tersebut. Metode penelitian berasal dari kata method dalam bahasa inggris yang berarti Metode yang digunakan peneliti dalam penulisan sejarah ini adalah metode penelitian menurut Kuntowijoyo. Adapun tahapan penelitian sejarah menurut Kuntowijoyo mempunyai lima tahap yaitu pemilihan topik, heuristik, verifikasi, interpretasi, dan penulisan. Hasil Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kedudukan ulama dan umat Islam di Kabupaten Brebes mempunyai posisi yang strategis dan menjadi pengarah yang baik jalannya revolusi. Sedangkan kemunculan kelompok kiri dalam revolusi sosial menjadi penyulut revolusi itu sendiri dan menampilkan pergerakan bahwa seolah-olah kelompok sosial inilah yang memiliki peranan penting dalam melawan penindasan dan perlawanan terhadap status quo. Hal inilah yang selanjutnya memicu permusuhan antara ulama dan kelompok kiri.Kata Kunci: ulama, umat Islam, haluan kiri, revolusi sosial di Brebes.

Abstract

ABSTRAKPenyelenggaraan program magister adalah untuk membekali mahasiswa memiliki berbagai kecakapan baik akademik, spiritual, sosial, maupun keterampilan. Berkaitan dengan kecakapan akademik, maka salah satunya mahasiswa dituntut untuk memiliki kemampuan berpikir kritis, yang pada akhirnya mahasiswa diharapkan memiliki kecakapan dalam menyelesaikan permasalahan disertai dengan kemampuan merumuskan alternative-alternatif solusi permasalahan yang ada di dalam diri dan masyarakatnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: 1) mengetahui bagaimana meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis mahasiswa melalui implementasi metode problem solving pada mata kuliah evaluasi kebijakan pendidikan, 2) bagaimana peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis mahasiswa dengan implementasi metode problem solving dalam pembelajaran mata kuliah evaluasi kebijakan pendidikan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Classroom Action Research. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: Penerapan metode perkuliahan problem solving dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis mahasiswa dalam proses perkuliahan system informasi manajemen mutu pendidikan. Hal tersebut dapat dibuktikan dengan adanya peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis mahasiswa pada setiap siklus. Kata Kunci: berpikir kritis, problem solving, dan evaluasi kebijakan. ABSTRACTThe holding of a master's program is to equip students to have a variety of skills, both academic, spiritual, social, and abilities. Related to academic skills, one of them is students who are required to have critical thinking skills, which in the end, students are expected to have the ability to solve problems accompanied by the ability to formulate alternative solutions to the issues that exist in themselves and their communities. This study aims to: 1) find out how to improve students 'critical thinking skills through the implementation of problem-solving methods in educational policy evaluation courses, 2) how to improve students' critical thinking skills by implementing problem-solving methods in learning education policy evaluation courses. This research uses the Classroom Action Research method, which is carried out through the steps of planning, implementation and observation, and reflection. Data sources are students who take education policy evaluation courses. The results showed that: The application of the problem-solving lecture method can improve students' critical thinking skills in the education quality management information system lecture. Keywords: critical thinking, problem-solving, and policy evaluation.

Abstract

Student intelligence in general is not distinguished by gender. However, some results of cognitive ability tests found these differences. The purpose of this study was to identify the critical thinking skills of fourth grade elementary school students based on gender. The critical thinking indicator refers to the Cornell Critical Thinking Test Level X. The selection of participants was carried out with consideration because the researcher had obtained permission from the principal of SDN Giwangan, parents, and had received approval from students so they were willing to be studied (convenience sampling). The sample consisted of 28 males and 17 females (N = 45). Data were analyzed using percentage, mean, standard deviation, range, and t-test. The findings show statistically significant differences in the mean critical thinking scores between male and female. The results of the study have implications for elementary school teachers who facilitate the learning process to develop critical thinking skills by applying different learning experiences. Teachers can follow up by considering differences in learning experiences based on the scope of the subject matter, the sequence of skills that are trained on students, and various choices of learning activities that develop critical thinking skills.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis study aimed to find out the relationship between the understanding of Indonesian national history, the history learning interest, the relationship between the history awareness and the nationalism attitude. Tests of analysis assumptions consisted of tests of normality, linearity, and multicollinearity. The hypotheses were tested using Pearson’s product moment correlation and multiple correlation with relative and effective contributions. The results of the study show that: (1) there is a significant positive relationship between the understanding of Indonesian national history and the nationalism attitude, (2) there is a significant positive relationship between the history learning interest and the nationalism attitude, (3) there is a significant positive relationship between the history awareness and the nationalism attitude, (4) there is a significant positive relationship between the understanding of Indonesian national history, history learning interest, and history awareness as an aggregate and the nationalism attitude. Keyword: understanding of Indonesian national history, history learning interest, history awareness, nationalism attitude

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) mengetahui kesiapan guru sejarah SMA Islam I Gamping Sleman dalam implementasi kurikulum 2013, dan (2) mengetahui upaya-upaya apa yang telah dilakukan guru dan sekolah dalam mempersiapkan implementasi kurikulum 2013. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif deskriptif, data yang digunakan adalah data hasil wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi; validitas menggunakan triangulasi dan informant review; dan model analisis yang digunakan adalah model interaktif. guru sejarah di SMA Islam I Gamping Sleman yang berjumlah 2 orang pada dasarnya sudah siap untuk menerapkan kurikulum 2013 pada tahun 2014 ini. Hal ini ditunjukkan dengan kemampuannya untuk mengembangkan perangkat pembelajaran berdasarkan perangkat pembelajaran, media pembelajaran,  dan lembar penilaian yang sudah sesuai dengan tuntutan kurikulum 2013. Upaya-upaya yang dilakukan oleh guru dan sekolah adalah: mengikuti pelatihan kurikulum 2013 yang diselenggarakan oleh pemerintah, mengikutkan guru-guru untuk workshop kurikulum 2013 yang diselenggarakan oleh perguruan tinggi dan LSM, serta mengikuti seminar-seminar kurikulum 2013 di sekolah-sekolah maupun dinas pendidikan. Kata Kunci: kesiapan, implementasi, kurikulum 2013

Abstract

The teaching of history, learning focus of diversity of human experience and understanding more about themselves as individual and member of society. Knowing your self means knowing that you can do; and since nobody knows what he can do untul he tries, the only clue to what man can do is what man has done. The value of history, then, is that it theachs us what man has done and then what man is. That history is more than the passage of events whose sequence may be memorized and that the past has continuing relevance for the presents. Most simply, we all live history, and not merely in the grand sense of wars, recessions, and political reformation. Rather, we live out the assumptions of our époque in the most mundane aspects of our daily lives. Key Word: history, history consciousness, and nationalism.

Abstract

This article raises a discovery of one of the cities rich in potential oil resources in Indonesia, precisely at Bajubang, Jambi Province. This article is based on research conducted using historical methods including the collection of primary and secondary sources, including archival and literature studies, observations, as well as in-depth interviews. Since the discovery of the first oil in Bajubang Laut in 1916 by the Dutch through their oil company namely, Nederlandsch-Indische Aardolie Maatschappij (NIAM). The oil exploration in Bajubang raised a conflict between the Dutch enterprise and the United States enterprise called Standard Vacuum Petroleum Maatschappij (SVPM). Bajubang exploration site is one of the best and largest in the world that produces the best quality oil up until now. It is pure oil, contains good gas pressure, and low wax content. Bajubang had been ruled by three different eras, including NIAM which was under the Dutch government in 1920-1942, the Japanese colonial period from 1942-1945, and post-independence operated by the Republic of Indonesia Oil Company (PERMIRI) which has been changed to Pertamina. The glory of Bajubang oil exploration site occurred when PERMIRI produced avian turbine products as aircraft fuel. Bajubang exploration site also leaves historical traces such as hospitals, Dutch settlement, Japanese cave, PERMIRI oil refinery, mining equipments, churches, cinemas, schools, oil pipelines, and golf courses.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan menganalisis pengaruh pola asuh orang tua, pergaulan teman sebaya, media televisi terhadap karakter siswa SMP Negeri 25 Purworejo tahun 2014/2015. Penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini digolongkan dalam penelitian kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian korelasional. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa SMP Negeri 25 Purworejo. Sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik simplerandom sampling. Sampel berjumlah 100 yang diambil dari kelas VII dan VIII dan dipilih dengan cara acak. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah menggunakan teknik angket atau questioner dan observasi. Teknik analisis data pada penelitian ini menggunakan analisis statistik inferensial dengan bantuan program SPSS versi 16.0 for windows. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan (1) Pola asuh orang tua memberikan pengaruh sebesar 16,30 % terhadap karakter siswa SMP Negeri 25 Purworejo. (2) Pergaulan teman sebaya memberikan pengaruh sebesar 70,04 % terhadap karakter siswa SMP Negeri 25 Purworejo. (3) Media televisi memberikan pengaruh sebesar 24,60 % terhadap karakter siswa SMP Negeri 25 Purworejo. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa pengaruh pergaulan teman sebaya lebih dominan dalam karakter siswa SMP Negeri 25 Purworejo dibandingan pengaruh pola asuh orang tua dan media televisi.THE EFFECTS OF PARENTING STYLE, SOCIAL PEERS, AND TELEVISION ON STUDENTS’ CHARACTEROF JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOLAbstractThis research aims to know and analize the effect of parenting, social peers, television on students’ character of Junior High School 25 in Purworejo in the Academic Year of 2014-2015.This is a quantitative research with correlation study. The population of this study is all students of State Junior High School 25 in Purworejo. The sample of this study was taken using simple random sampling. The sample was 100 students from VII (second year) and VIII (third year) classes and was taken at random. The data collection used questionnaires and observation. The data analysis of this study used inferensial statistic analysis using SPSS 16.0 version.The result of this study shows (1) parenting style gives great influence (16.3%%) on students’s character of State Junior High School 25 in Purworejo. (2) social peers give influence 70.04% on students’s character of State Junior High School 25 in Purworejo. (3) Television gives influence 24.60% on students’s character of State Junior High School 25 in Purworejo. This result shows that social peers influence more dominantly in students’s character of State Junior High School 25 in Purworejo than parenting style and television.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui ada tidaknya perbedaan aktivitas dan hasil belajar IPS siswa menggunakan metode Jigsaw dibandingkan menggunakan metode Ceramah di Kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Masaran Sragen, serta keefektifan metode Jigsaw terhadap aktivitas dan belajar dalam pembelajaran IPS siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Masaran Sragen. Penelitian ini merupakan True Experimental Design dengan desain Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. Analisis data menggunakan analisis statistik independent sample t-test dengan bantuan program SPSS 16.00 for Windows Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya perbedaan aktivitas dan hasil belajar dalam pembelajaran IPS menggunakan metode Jigsaw dibandingkan menggunakan metode Ceramah di Kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Masaran Sragen. Hal ini ditunjukkan dari hasil uji t pada aktivitas dan hasil belajar. Besar ukuran efek metode Jigsaw terhadap aktivitas dan hasil belajar memberikan efek sedang. Hal ini berarti, metode Jigsaw efektif terhadap aktivitas dan hasil belajar dalam pembelajaran IPS siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Masaran Sragen. AbstractThis study aimed to find out the differences in the comparison of using IPS learning activity and output using Jigsaw and lecturing method at SMP Negeri 1 Masaran Sragen Grade VIII and the effectiveness of Jigsaw method on students’ learning activity and output in IPS learning at SMP Negeri 1 Masaran Sragen Grade VIII. This study is true experimental with Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. The data analysis technique used statistic analysis of independent sample t-test towards the gain score in assistance with SPSS 16.00 for Windows program. The study showed the differences in the learning activity and learning output in using the Jigsaw method in comparison with lecturing method at SMP Negeri 1 Masaran Sragen. It can be seen from the result of t-test on learning activity and output. The Jigsaw method effect on learning activity and output give a medium effect. This means, the Jigsaw method was effective on students’ learning activity and output in IPS learning at SMP Negeri 1 Masaran Sragen Grade VIII.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kinerja guru IPS SMP pascasertifikasi Kota Makassar dilihat dari aspek perencanaan, pelaksanaan dan penilaian pembelajaran, serta untuk mengetahui perbedaan kinerja guru pascasertifikasi di Kota Makasar dilihat dari lama waktu setelah sertifikasi. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif deskriptif. Sampel penelitian 6 kepala sekolah, 27 guru, dan 130 siswa. Pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner. Teknik analisis menggunakan analisis deskriptif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkann bahwa Guru IPS tingkat SMP pascasertifikasi di Kota Makassar memiliki kinerja yang baik dilihat dari aspek perencanaan pembelajaran, yang ditunjukkan dengan nilai rerata sebesar 4,04. Guru IPS pascasertifikasi memiliki kinerja yang baik dilihat dari aspek pelaksanaan pembelajaran, yang ditunjukkan dengan nilai rerata sebesar 3,77. Guru IPS pascasertifikasi memiliki kinerja yang baik dilihat dari aspek penilaian pembelajaran, yang ditunjukkan dengan nilai rerata sebesar 3,96. Kinerja guru pascasertifikasi lebih dari lima tahun dengan guru pascasertifikasi lima tahun kurang secara signifikan tidak memiliki perbedaan.Kata kunci: kinerja guru, sertifikasi, pelaksanaan pembelajaran PERFORMANCE OF SOCIAL SCIENCE TEACHER AFTER CERTIFICATION TO IMPLEMENTATION LEARNING LEVEL JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL IN MAKASSAR CITYAbstractThis study aims to determine the performance of junior high school social studies teacher post-certification Makassar City viewed from the aspect of planning, implementation and assessment of learning, and to investigate differences in teacher performance post-certification in Makasar seen from a long time after certification. This research is quantitative descriptive. The research sample 6 principals, 27 teachers and 130 students. Collecting data using questionnaires. Mechanical analysis using descriptive analysis. The results of this study has pointed out that the Master IPS junior level after certification in Makassar has a good performance from the aspects of the learning plan, which indicated an average value of 4.04. After certification social studies teacher has a good performance from the aspects of the implementation of learning, which is shown to an average value of 3.77. After certification social studies teacher has a good performance from the aspects of learning assessment, which indicated an average value of 3.96. Post-certification of teachers' performance over five years with teacher certification after five years was significantly less no difference.Keywords: teahcer performance, certification, implementation learning
