Abstract

Hand sanitizer gel is one of the alternative methods for hand hygiene when soap and water are not available. Binahong leaf (Anredera cordifolia) is a natural herb that has phenolic, flavonoids, saponins, and the steroid-terpenoids compound, which is potentially used as the active ingredient in the hand sanitizer gel. The primary purpose of this research was to determine the antibacterial potential and physicochemical properties of a hand-sanitizer gel containing binahong leaves’ infusion against Staphylococcus aureus. The efficacy of this formulation was tested against a bacterial strain using the disc diffusion method and determined by measuring the inhibition zone of each preparation. The testing of physicochemical properties includes the organoleptic test, pH, viscosity, and gel spreadability. The physicochemical characteristics of the gel showed excellent properties for all formulas. The antibacterial test showed that hand sanitizer gel containing an infusion of binahong’s leaves has an inhibition zone (6.02 mm; 6.24 mm; 6.55 mm), almost close to a positive control (9.15 mm). In conclusion, the formulated hand sanitizer gel possesses the antibacterial potential to inhibit S. aureus.

Abstract

Content of flavonoids in Sansevieria trifasciata Prain. and curcumonoids in Curcuma Longa Linn. can inhibit the growth of the fungi Candida albicans in the wound. An innovative formulation was made that form a combination of antifungal extracts S. trifasciata and C. longa in the form of emulgel, which is easy to absorb and can moisturize the skin. The purpose is to determine the effect of antifungal activity of emulgel preparations using S. trifasciata extract with a concentration of 0%; 5%; and 10%, and C. longa 10% against C. albicans. S. trifasciata and C. longa extracts are formulated into emulgel in three formulas, F1 (C. longa 10%); F2 (S. trifasciata 5%; C. Longa 10%); and F3 (S. trifasciata 10%; C. Longa 10%). Antifungal activity was tested using the diffusion well method. The results of antifungal activity research showed inhibition zone diameter, inhibitory activity, and effectiveness. There were no significant differences in formula 1, formula 2, formula 3, but there were significant differences with positive controls. Variation the concentration of S. trifasciata 5% and 10% has no significant effect on the inhibitory zone of the C. albicans, but the three emulgel of S. trifasciata and C. Longa extract had antifungal activity on the growth of C. albicans.

Abstract

Kajian kegempaan suatu wilayah terutama di daerah rawan gempa bumi seperti Jawa Timur sangat diperlukan dalam rangka mengurangi dampak yang ditimbulkan akibat bencana gempa bumi. Dalam konteks ini, dilakukan penelitian yang bertujuan untuk menganalisis tingkat seismisitas di wilayah Jawa Timur antara tahun 1999-2013 yaitu dengan menganalisis hubungan antara frekuensi kejadian gempa bumi (N) dan magnitudo gempa bumi (M). Rumus umum yang digunakan, yaitu log N = a – bM. Gradien persamaan ini atau nilai b merupakan parameter tektonik yang menggambarkan sifat batuan pada daerah yang diteliti sedangkan nilai a menggambarkan aktivitas tektonik wilayah yang diamati. Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini merupakan data sekunder parameter gempa bumi dari bank data seismologi IRIS dengan magnitudo 4,0-10,0 SR pada kedalaman 0-200 km yang berlokasi antara 110o-115o BT dan 5o-10o LS. Berdasarkan hasil analisis dengan metode maximum likelihood, didapatkan besarnya parameter seismisitas untuk wilayah 1 diperoleh nilai a sebesar 11,7 dan nilai b sebesar 1,86. Sementara untuk wilayah 2 diperoleh nilai a sebesar 9,69 dan nilai b sebesar 1,49. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa wilayah 1 memiliki tingkat seismitas yang lebih besar dibandingkan wilayah 2. Sedangkan nilai b pada kedua wilayah relatif sama. Hal tersebut menunjukkan bahwa batuan pada wilayah Jawa Timur memiliki heterogenitas yang rendah.

Abstract

The Qur'an as a guide for humans has provided a complete guide to life, one of which is a guide in education. Of the many verses of the Qur'an that discuss education, the author is interested in studying the learning methods of active learners in the perspective of the Qur'an Surah Thaha verses 17-18, with a focus on the problem of the concept of student-centered learning in the content of Surah Thaha verse 17. -18, and its implications in pesantren education. This research is library research, to build a concept or theory that becomes the basis of study in research. The data used in this study is qualitative in the form of concepts, theories, and formulations that are relevant to the research made. The data analysis used is content analysis and descriptive analysis. Content analysis was used to analyze the messages contained in the Al Quran Surah Thaha verses 17-18 related to learning, while descriptive analysis was used to collect and write down data related to student-centered learning in the perspective of Al Quran Surah Thaha verses 17-18 and implications for education in boarding school. The results of the research on the content of the letter thaha verse 17 in the learning process educators must invite students to think critically in solving a problem to gain knowledge, while the content of the letter thaha verse 18 shows that as educators must be able to appreciate the findings of students in gaining knowledge, but students should not bring themselves to be arrogant. And the implications of Islamic boarding school education are reflected in the teaching methods of Islamic boarding schools that require students or students to develop their potential.

Abstract

This research aims to reveal the syntax, factors that take effect the application process of the ICT-based tutorial model, and the strengths of the tutorial model from a constructivist approach to online learning. The research method used in this research is the library research method with a descriptive qualitative approach. The research subjects were online learning articles and tutorial models. The data analysis technique was carried out by analyzing the contents of the document, namely precious research scientific articles and relevant theories. The results in this study point out that the tutorial model can be one of the solutions and means to be utilized during the online learning process SD/MI. the tutorial model was developed by combining the software in a coherent and tested manner. Variations of tutorial models are tailored to the needs and characteristics of students. The syntax of the ICT-based tutorial model includes an introduction, presentation of information, question and responses, judging of responses, providing about responses,  remediation, sequencing lesson segment, and closing. The ability of teachers and students, as well as the existence of devices, laptops, and internet networks, are supporting factors. Meanwhile, the quality of the internet network connection speed is an inhibiting factor. The tutorial model can facilitate students to be more independent when learning, evaluate self-achievement, flexible, and learner-centred. However, the tutorial model can trigger boredom, frustration due to frequent remedies, depending on teacher directions, and limited free applications. The tutorial model is in tune with the perspective of a constructivist approach. The ICT-based tutorial model can help teachers carry out online learning according to process standards, provide meaningful experiences for students, effective, and efficient experiences for students.

Abstract

Microemulsion is a transparent, isotropic and thermodynamically stable preparation. Tea tree oil (TTO) is an essential oil extracted from the leaves of Melaleuca alternifolia by steam distillation which has been proven to have antibacterial and fungal uses. Optimization of microemulsion preparations to obtain preparations with small and stable droplet size is also a challenge. The design of an experiment is to design an experiment with a certain pattern, with a combination of certain input variables that allow to shorten the number of experiments. Based on the research results, it is known that the most influential factor on the microemulsion particle size is the combination of surfactants polysorbate 80 with co-surfactants propyleneglycol.

Abstract

Lipase (triasilglycerol acylhydrolase, E.C, 3.1.1.3) is an enzyme can hydrolyze long chains of triglycerides[1]. Lipase is a water-soluble enzyme and naturally lipase catalyze the hydrolysis of ester bonds in water insoluble lipid substrate and long-chain acylglycerol synthesis, diacylglycerol, monoacylglycerol, and glycerol[2]. Hydrolase enzyme lipase can be used potentialy produced fatty acid which precursors in the chemical industry[3]. The research aims to study the lipolytic activity of bacteria isolated from soil contaminated with oil. Screening of lipolytic bacteria was performed in Rhodamin-B agar plate containing olive oil. The lipolytic activity was determined by spectrofotometry method toward p-nitrofenil palmitat as a substrate. The result this research showed that there are 15 of 150 isolates bacteria from soil contaminated with oil was confirmed by observing the zone of hydrolysis formed around the growth of colony on Rhodamin B agar plate containing olive oil. One of the lipolytic bacteria identified as higher activity was produced lipase with activity of 7,41 U/ml

Abstract

This study aimed to prepare the readiness of students to use E-learning media in the MBKM (Freedom to Learn – Independent Campus) program at the Faculty of Science, Technology and Education. This was an evaluation research with a quantitative research approach and descriptive method. The data collection technique used lecturer and student questionnaires based on the CIPP evaluation model (context, input, process, product). The samples were 98 students. The results indicated that in terms of readiness and understanding of E-learning-based learning management, the lecturers were included in the high category with a percentage of 87.78%. The score obtained by students based on the understanding of E-learning-based learning was included in the high category with a percentage of 82.16%. The results of the questionnaire showed that the E-learning-based learning activities were carried out well (structured, according to schedule and coordinated).

Abstract

Abstrak: Masyarakat muslim selama bulan Ramadhan akan mengalami perubahan pola waktu makan. Demikian juga dengan waktu mengkonsumsi obat harus disesuaikan. Untuk pemakaian obat yang harus diminum setiap 6 atau 8 jam, penggunaannya harus disesuaikan agar pengobatan pasien tidak terganggu, namun pasien tetap dapat menjalankan ibadah puasa. Dalam pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk mengedukasi masyarakat tentang pengunaan obat yang benar pada bulan puasa. Sasaran program pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah Kader kesehatan Desa Bedingin Kecamatan Sugio sejumlah 18 kader. Metode yang digunakan dalam pengabdian ini yaitu penyuluhan, keberhasilan kegiatan diukur dengan cara memberikan pretest dan posttest kepada mitra. Hasil kegiatan pengabdian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan pengetahuan kader kesehatan tentang penggunaan obat pada saat bulan puasa setelah diberikan penyuluhan. Hal tersebut dapat dilihat dari hasil evaluasi data diperoleh nilai Sig. (2-tailed) < 0,05 yang memiliki arti bahwa terdapat perbedaan bermakna tingkat pengetahuan setelah diberikan penyuluhan tentang penggunaan obat yang benar pada bulan puasa. Kesimpulan dari pengabdian masyarakat ini yaitu terdapat perbedaan pengetahuan Kader Kesehatan tentang pengunaan obat yang benar pada bulan puasa sebelum dan sesudah dilakukan pengabdian masyarakat tentang penggunaan obat yang benar saat bulan puasa.Abstract: The Muslim community during the month of Ramadan will experience changes in eating patterns. Likewise, the time to take the drug must be adjusted. For the use of drugs that must be taken every 6 or 8 hours, the use must be adjusted so that the patient's treatment is not disturbed, but the patient can still carry out fasting. In this service, it aims to educate the public about the correct use of drugs during the fasting month. The target of this community service program is the health cadres of Bedinding Village, Sugio District, a total of 18 cadres. The method used in this service is counseling, the success of the activity is measured by giving pretest and posttest to partners. The results of community service activities show that there is an increase in the knowledge of health cadres about the use of drugs during the fasting month after being given counseling. This can be seen from the results of the evaluation of the data obtained by the value of Sig. (2-tailed) < 0.05 which means that there is a significant difference in the level of knowledge after being given counseling about the correct use of drugs during the fasting month. The conclusion from this community service is that there are differences in the knowledge of Health Cadres about the correct use of drugs in the fasting month before and after the community service is carried out regarding the correct use of drugs during the fasting month.

Pengabdian ini berjudul Pelatihan Manajemen Peningkatan Produktivitas Remajadi Masa Pandemi Covid 19 pada PKBM Insan Satya Guna (PKBM INTAN)”Tujuan pengabdian ini adalah Memberikan pengarahan kepada warga belajarPKBM Insan Satya Guna agar dapat meningkatkan kemampuan dan produktivitasnyadalam berwirausaha terutama di masa pandemi Covid 19Agar warga belajar PKBM InsanSatya Guna dapat meningkatkan produktivitasnya di masa pandemi Covid 19 melaluipenyuluhan yang di berikan oleh Dosen-dosen Universitas Pamulang.Metode pelaksanaan pengabdian ini adalah memberikan penyuluhan serta diskusidalam konteks memberikan pelatihan dan pengarahan kepada para remaja warga belajarPKBM Insan Satya Guna agar dapat meningkatkan produktivitasnya di masa pandemicCovid 19 saat ini melalui daring dengan aplikasi google meeting. Adapun tahapan YANGdilakukan adalah Tahapan Persiapan dan Pelatihan .Kesimpulan dari pengabdian ini adalah Kegiatan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat(PKM) yang telah kami lakukan ini pada dasarnya adalah berkat kerjasama berbagai pihakterkait sehingga kegiatan dapat berjalan dengan baik dan terukur, serta materi yang kamisampaikan dapat warga belajar PKBM Insan Satya Guna.
